The day-to-day routines of a child's world are the subjects of these lift-the-flap board books. Each book, which is illustrated in a bright and colorful pallet, features a question about a child's routine. When the reader lifts the flap, he or she finds the answer to that question appears in a colorful illustration. The text, in large type, not only reminds young readers of their own routine, it challenges them to use deductive reasoning as they explore the answer to the question posed.
In Bedtime, Katie must find all the stuffed animals that she takes to bed with her. When the reader lifts the flaps, Katie finds them under a sheet, in a cupboard, and underneath a towel.
My son would for sure give this 5 stars. Any lift-the-flap books he LOVES. He would dig through the pile of other books until he found this one, and since we got it from the library, there were only 3/5 flaps that weren't ripped off. It was simple with short text, which is good for my 14-month-old, and he likes to point out the dog in all the pictures.
