An unexpected roommate. An unlikely dance partner. A match made in wine country.
Sexy Scarlett Halle jumps at the chance to buy a bakery in Napa Valley. She longs to move back to her home town and start over after being dumped by her fiancé. She's determined to break out of her timid shell and go after what she wants, but the fear of failing still stands in her way.
While staying at a friend's vineyard retreat arranging her relocation, she discovers an unexpected roommate. Not just any roommate, but a man she spent an unforgettable evening with years ago.
San Francisco sportscaster Jake Martelli will do anything for his family, but this time the grannies have gone too far. After being publicly humiliated by his grandmother and great aunt, he’s forced to hide out in wine country. This time the punishment for his loyalty is learning how to tango in order to win a local dance competition. Jake's not looking for a partner, but when he finds he's hiding out with someone from his past, it would seem fate, and the two geriatric matchmakers in his life have other plans.
With Scarlett by his side, will Jake discover a three-minute tango is the dance of a lifetime? . If you enjoy tropes, Two to Tango covers several: Fish Out of Water, Accidental Roommate, Matchmaker, and Second Chance Romance. (Scarlett and Jake met before, years ago and have never forgotten each other.) . If you liked the movie The Holiday (Cameron Diaz & Jude Law) and watch Dancing with the Stars, imagine the setting in Napa Valley wine country and this is the story for you!
Two to Tango is a standalone, sweet with heat, romantic comedy. (The love scenes happen behind closed doors.) Although you don’t have to read any of Kate’s other stories to enjoy this one, Love in the Vineyards fans will get a kick out of seeing favorite characters from other stories, as they get to know the Santino brothers’ lovable grandmother, Mimi, their quirky great-aunt Cha-Cha, and all their gorgeous cousins. (Although Two to Tango has been re-written, the story was originally released in Marina Adair's St. Helena Vineyard Kindle World)

What a sweet romance set in wine country. After a horrific week, I needed to escape for awhile and this was just what I needed. Loved the characters and Kisset's sweeping narration made this a true gem! Highly recommend!
I love the romantic comedies of Kate Kisset and every book she excels. This time she brought a sensual, light and fun story with the tango beat and with wonderful characters.
Scarlett wants to start over and Jake has to dance with his grandmother. Neither of them imagined they would find love in Jake's grandma's cottage.
Since they met at a wedding, they realized they had affinities but could never find the right time to approach. Now that they are temporarily living together, they will realize how truly the chemistry between them is strong.
I really love the moments they are dancing, the moments that Brady appears and especially ChaCha and Mimi.
I loved the cover that is great for the atmosphere of the book.
I received an Advanced Reader’s Copy of Ms. Kisset’s “Two to Tango”. Again, Ms. Kissett does not disappoint. She takes on another journey into wine country. Her creative ability to paint beautiful scenes that take your breath away and make you want to jump on the next flight to Napa Valley. One of the things that I like about Ms. Kissett’s writing, her characters, storyline, and setting is that it flows and as a reader I can relate to the characters and the storyline. Although, I know that I’m reading fiction, her story feels real. It feels as if I can just reach out and touch the vineyards. Her characters are down to earth. One would think that you would get a sense of upper class snobbery from those who own a vineyard, or are wealthy, but that is not the case with Ms. Kisset’s characters. They are all down to earth and approachable. ChiChi and ChaCha are hysterical besides being believable ladies. I wouldn’t mind having an aunt and grandmother like them. Ms. Kissett creates memorable names for her characters which helps to develop those characters. She adds just enough detail but not too much to ensure that you stay intrigued. Yes, this was a love story about Scarlett and Jake. Two star crossed lovers who had previous chances to get “better acquainted”, but as most of us know, when it is meant to be one cannot force it. It must be natural. There are so many reasons to love this story. As a writer, myself, I love how each reader will take something different away from this story and that is due to Ms. Kissett’s writing style. She writes in truth and with a passion. One more thing about Ms. Kisset’s style, her romance stories is that it is classy. There are so many so called “romance stories” out there, but they are anything but romance. Those stories in my opinion are trashy. When I look for a new romance, romance drama, inspirational romance, I want to feel the romance not the filth. Ms. Kissett could not begin or end this story any other way than how she did. If it had been altered even slightly, I personally feel that the emotions, creativity, and reality would not have been the same. It is my hope and desire that Ms. Kissett not only continue writing from Wine Country, but that she continues revealing the lives of the DeLucas’.
Heat Level: sweet - nothing explicit Cursing: very minimal Humor level: high Meddling Old Ladies: constant and hilarious
The most difficult thing (in my opinion) about the Kindle Worlds experience is not knowing whether a novella that is released in the 'world' will fit into the 'feel' of the original books. I can say without hesitation that 'Two To Tango' is a seriously adorable novella that fits in PERFECTLY with the St. Helena Vineyard series. This story and its characters are exactly what I want when I purchase a SHVKW novella.
Just like the original St. Helena books, the heart of this story is the characters. Jake is a sportscaster from San Francisco who has been humiliated and manipulated into coming to St. Helena by his meddling grandmother Cha-Cha and her partner in crime/sister ChiChi. Scarlett is hoping to move back to her hometown of St. Helena full time but is – very wisely - wary of the old lady brigade. I absolutely *loved* Jake and Scarlett – they were two really likable characters from their incredibly hysterical first meeting to their happily ever after. I appreciated that they had a friendship of sorts before being brought together in this book, and it wasn't an insta-love situation. And of course, the meddling duo of ChiChi and Cha-Cha were hi-lar-i-ous. I won't spoil anything, but their meddling was perfect, and their -ahem- “excellent timing” cracked me up.
Without question, dancing as seduction is ridiculously sexy, and this story is no exception. Reading the dancing scenes made my pulse pick up because the sexiness of it was so perfectly described. It made me really wish that I had even a tiny bit of rhythm so that I could dance with Jake.
If you liked the original St. Helena series, or even if you just like stories with hysterically meddling little old ladies and a couple that you are going to love from start to finish, you really need to read this one.
Kate Kisset stole my heart again with a simple and attractive formula joining roommates, grandmas, dancing and lots of romance ...
Scarlett wants to restart her life after her dreams had been destroyed for her ex fiancee , returning to the city of her parents. Before appearing she needs to get a job and is willing to buy the local veterinary clinic. For this she counts on her friend Regan that lends the country house of the family to Scarlett. The sweet and determined girl just did not expect her old affair to be staying in the same place with her.
Jake is the kind of guy dedicated to family, especially Grandma ChaCha and Aunt ChiChi, two very funny ladies who manipulate the guy as they wish. Jake agreed to do their will and is going to dance as ChiChi's partner in a dance competition just to please her. All gentleman, dreamy and romantic, Jake has always been attracted to Scarlett and takes advantage of the closeness with the girl to train with her the dance steps that need to be learned.
Between classes, walks in the city and intrusions of the grandmothers, the two discover that they have more in common than imagined and gradually give in themselves to attraction they feel for each other.
I can't forget to talk about the puppy Brady who stole the scene many times. Narrated in the third person and with a flowing and quick writing, I sighed at every analogy made between dancing and love, each word used with double meaning that made me twist a lot for them to stay together. I loved the book so much, as this is the first book in the series I hope to see more of them and the pair of great grandmas in the next volumes. Highly recommend. 4/5 stars. Kisses, Myl
What a wonderful story to the St Helena Vineyard series. Love the chemistry between all the characters and the complete characters. ChiChi and ChaCha make me laugh. Jake and Scarelett can have it all if the just let themselves go. Wonderful story done by Kate Kisset
Two to tango is excellent book. It's full of romance and made me laugh. Two to tango takes place in a wine country. I just fell in love with scarlet and Jake. Kate kisser did an outstanding job writing this book. Looking forward to more by Kate. I will be reading this book again soon ❤️
4.5 Kate's books keep you hooked from the very beginning. They're entertaining, the romance between the characters is always a pleasure to read as well! The chemistry these two had was really well written and the fact that the book takes place in a town I know so well, is awesome! Highly recommend for a quick and fun read!
This is a short story about Scarlett and Jake and how they are pushed together. Scarlett is a baker and accepts the use of her friend’s holiday home in wine country, whilst there to deal with a new business deal. Unknown to her, the home is also being inhabited by Jake, who was told it was empty by his busy body old relatives, Mimi and Cha-Cha. Jake, hunky sportscaster, is related to the Santino family of the Love in the Vineyards series by this author. He was ‘bought’ by Mimi and Cha-Cha, to the amusement of all at the annual Sweetheart’s Auction and he is now in hiding until he fulfils his part of the auction bargain. They want him to dance with one of them at their local dance competition and he has been put to practice, under threat of a whip, to win at all costs and defeat their arch enemy.
Scarlett and Jake have now ended up as reluctant roommates, but it is made more personal when Jake asks Scarlett to help him practice! They knew each other well before, but had gone their separate ways a long time ago. This gets them up close and together, even when neither of them is looking for love or a partner. Mimi and Cha-Cha are working hard at matchmaking and play a few tricks on the pair. They want to make Jake dance with Scarlett and meddle as only old relatives can.
A nice little tale of second chance romance when least expected. It brings you into the close family links of those other couples stories, in the Napa Valley wine country of the Santino’s, told in the author’s main series. Although it is only a short story, there is a lot that has been packed into the storyline. I’ve read most of the author’s books in the Love in the Vineyards series and this is in the same theme of clean, light-hearted romance and family ties. An easy, light read. I received an ARC copy of this book from the author and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
Mimi and Cha Cha 👥stirring things, but will they cook up an HEA?😯 March 28, 2019 Format: Kindle Edition 💕💃👥 I liked the hero and heroine and was happy for their ability to reconnect and move closer both logistically and emotionally. With two manipulative matchmakers, how could it be otherwise? This is the fourth or fifth story I've read in this wine country series and the plots all brim with extended family and friends finding love and the good life. I just wish there had been more quality together time for this couple off the dance floor and a bit less about Mimi and Cha Cha. I was in it for the romance, not so much for the dance. At least Scarlett and Jake had some backstory together briefly explained so that the quick development of their romantic relationship in this story seemed an organic result of their earlier, not-acted-upon attraction. A good fit if you don't require or relish angst in a love story.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the story; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Scarlett is looking to purchase a soon to be up for sale bakery in the valley. She wants to remain incognito until she's more certain she'll be relocating, so doesn't want to stay with her family. Jake is at his Nonna and Great Aunt's beck and call after a bachelor auction purchase. He's waiting for the mid-summer dance off, where he'll help his elderly family members take first place, or will he?
How do Jake and Scarlett end up staying at the same place? Is is just coincidence or is there some kind of interference...celestial or perhaps familial?
Two to Tango is an absolutely fun romantic romp...errrr...tango through the vineyards! Once more we're entertained by Mimi and Cha Cha, Jake's Nonna and great aunt. Manipulation should be their middles names. They are the BEST. You'll want to sit down with a glass of wine, some cheese and crackers, and plan on having a nice afternoon.
A fun and light-hearted romance, this story takes us back to the Vineyards in Napa Valley, where the conniving geriatric squad once again get up to mischief. This time they have conned Jake and Scarlett into being unsuspecting room-mates, but somehow know just when to drop in for a visit at the most inopportune times. Furthermore, they manage to manoeuver the couple into practicing dance routines for a competition, one that Scarlett has absolutely no intention of participating in. However, spending time together makes the cautious couple more aware of each other than they would have thought, and as they practice their routine, something more than simple attraction starts brewing. The story is humourous with laugh out loud moments but comes to a happy and satisfactory conclusion. I enjoyed this entertaining romance and meeting up with characters from previous books in this series. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Two to Tango is a fabulous stand-alone book from a terrific author. It is also connected to the brilliant Love in the Vineyard series and this book features some familiar and loveable characters from other books. Scarlett is trying to buy the Cupcake Bakery and is offered an empty holiday home to use whilst finding investors. Jake is hiding out after being humiliated by his geriatric relatives who are now forcing him to help them out. They find themselves 'accidently' sharing the same house. There is so much going on in this fabulous book but it all fits perfectly together. There is chemistry, second chances, romance, dancing and the magnificent duo of grandmother Mimi and great aunt Cha-Cha .. they are hilarious, quirky and adorable. I cannot recommend this book highly enough it is simply wonderful,
ONE HEARTWARMING READ!!! OMG! Talk about one sweet read. A whirlwind of activities and events that brings a full range of swirling emotions into play. An amazing wild ride that keeps you on the edge of your seat as everything falls into place with such perfection it totally rocked. The characters are well developed and believable with realistic personalities that blend and play off one another in such a smooth flowing rhythm. The scenes are so graphic and detailed it paints a fantastic backdrop that really makes the storyline pop. All the twists and turns really bring this little gem bursting alive perfectly. Amazing job Kate, thanks for sharing this awesome read with us.
I really enjoyed this book from sexy Jake Martelli, who was left at the altar, to Scarlett Halle , whose fiance broke up with her. Finally they are both free to be together. Add to that the fun meddling from Chi Chi and Mimi, who have instigated getting Jake and Scarlett together by having them end up sharing a cottage together to having them become tango dance partners in the first ever Summer Solstice Starlight Dance. As Chi Chi and Mimi would say they "all won because love wins." I would say Kate Kissett won with this book too. Great characters! I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
I had met the grannies in the Marina Adair series, that is part of this Kindle World. It's so funny how the grannies have a covert (not really) dating service. They set up two unsuspecting individuals and then pester and nose their way in to make sure they are not only supremely embarrassed but also have no other option but to fall in love with each other. Scarlettt and Jake were such a cute couple. This story was a sweet novella based in St. Helena, Napa. Kate Kisset writes great stories, you won't be disappointed.
This review is for the newest version/release of Two to Tango in March, 2019.
This is a sweet, fun romance and another hit by Kate Kisset! I adore Mimi and Cha-Cha – they are a HOOT! Timing has never been right for Jake and Scarlett, that is until Mimi and Cha-Cha. You know when they get involved there is no going back!
I am a big fan of Kate’s Love in the Vineyards series and Two to Tango fits in perfectly. I think this would make a great Hallmark movie. This is a heart-warming HEA you should definitely check out.
My first book by this author. Ms. Kisset made me laugh a lot reading her book. How can you now when two meddling sister, and Jake along with Scarlett are caught in the middle of it. Not one dull moment in St. Helena. The stakes are high. Family is the most important thing.
Can not wait to read more.. When Scarlett and Jake find themselves roommates they try and make the best of it. But the fun has just begun.
Very cute novella. Chichi & Chacha, Jakes grandmother & great aunt, have set up Jake to do a dance competition, as well as setting Jake and Scarlett up to "accidentally" be staying in the same villa. Jake & Scarlett had met previously at a wedding & Jake always regretted not following through to get her number. When they had seen each other since, one or the other had been in relationships. Now they are both free and the stars seem to be aligned!
Love this story! The characters are realistic & relatable. Jake & Scarlett have wonderful chemistry. Mr. Kisset’s descriptive prose enable the reader to picture the scenes in their mind. The countryside is gorgeous & doesn’t sound pretentious at all. Jake’s grandmother, Mimi & great-aunt, Cha-Cha, are hilarious & total trouble! Their interactions & perfect ability to irritate Jake make the story! You really don’t want to miss this one!
An excellent and delightful short romantic story with a HEA. The main characters of Jake and Scarlet were developed so that they blended by the end of the story. They were both drawn back to town and the grannies were actively involved in the romance. Ms. Kisser made the characters so the readers could relate. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by this author.
Short, sexy and to the point. Jake and Scarlett finally are on the road to their happily-ever-after in this second chance love story.
This book had no sex scenes which is common in some of Kate’s books. But unlike some of her other books I thoroughly enjoyed the word porn and heat between these two characters as it kept me interested in their little story.
Also, I felt in this that the story followed more fluently than in some of her other books.

This was a quick and fun read with some sizzling chemistry! Jake and Scarlett met several years Agustin a wedding and had an instant connection. Unfortunately, they never managed to get together afterwards. Now fate, or the plotting grannies, bring them together. There was such a delicious slow burning chemistry between Jake and Scarlett! I definitely did not want this story to end! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Scarlett and Jake have crushed on each other for years. Now they are literally forced to be roommates for a few weeks and things begin to heat up.
I loved how sweet and steamy there two were! Through in some meddling grandmas, well intentioned friends and a sexy dance, Two to Tango is a fast, fun story!
This is a wonderful story set in wine country about Scarlett and Jake. If you enjoy books that will have you laughing out loud (gotta love characters like Mimi and Cha-Cha), then you will not be disappointed with Two to Tango. Grab your copy and settle in for a quick read.
I received an advance reader copy of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.
I absolutely love Kate’s books! Two to Tango was great! Jake and Scarlett were great characters! I love the grandmas, MiMi and ChaCha! They know what they are doing with their matchmaking! Two to Tango was a funny, sexy story with loveable characters! I loved it! I’m anxiously waiting for the next book in the Love In The Vineyards series!
A start of a new series called Family Ties a well written story. Scarlett Halle and Jake Martelli’s story had me smiling as they older ladies in this story are meddling but all because they love the people they do it to and want to see them happy. I will be looking for more books in this series. I received a copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing.
It is always entertaining when ChiChi of St. Helena gets involved in matchmaking. This is a sweet and fun romance that takes us back to St. Helena and everyone's favorite characters.
Scarlett is in town for a job, Jake is in town at the request of his Nonna and his aunt Can Jake and Scarlett survive those two ladies. This is a fun, light hearted story. You will fall in love with them.
I really enjoyed this quick read. Jake and Scarlett are so good together, they just needed fate and those they loved to prod them. Can't wait for the rest of the series, especially if there will be more of the Grannies and their hijinks.
