The most useful sections were the chapters on choosing an assortment of Likely, Possible and Long Shot schools, as well as the section with advice on writing the essay. A good overview of the entire process for parents as well as for students.

I wondered if this book would overwhelm me but it actually made the process seem simplified and also helped me to calm down a little, in thinking about how to advise and guide my own kids. Ha!

This book covered and clarified the admissions process completely in specific detail...as a incoming junior who loves to be informed and organized/prepared, this was every thing I needed. I took notes!!! Amazing book, will surely revisit for guidance and advice multiple times.

The best book I've read to help parents relax whose kids are in the throes of the college application process. Explains in a nuanced way how random the college application process can be, and offers encouragement, guidance and the benefit of experience for students.
