**Now an International Bestseller**

Montville, New York isn’t like other towns. Beneath its rosy exterior exists a world of horror and magic, darkness and light, possibility and loss.

Gemini Lynn Harrington is a drifter. Settling down was never in her plans. But when an unspeakable tragedy hits, the charming college town of Montville seems like the perfect place to reinvent herself and follow a new dream. The only problem is—in this town—nothing is as it seems.

Matthew Garrett gained his freedom, only to find himself trapped in another prison of his own making. Grief and loss have caused him to spiral into a world of gambling and drinking, and now he can barely find the energy to shift. He has a lot of wrongs to right, and penance to pay, so when his leader sends him to Montville, he thinks this may be the fresh start he needs. But his new home shelters a darkness just waiting to consume him.

Gemini and Matthew never imagined the sorrow they would experience in this small town, or the danger stalking the people of Montville. Together they will have to make a choice—find the magic of this beautiful new place, or succumb to the evil lurking beneath the surface.

This novella intrigued me. I haven't read the first book The Devil's Pride (Wild Beasts #1), so I did end up feeling a little bit lost. Nothing too drastic, but I would imagine we get a lot of the background info about everyone and the different clans, world building, etc. in that book. So even though techniquelly this can be read as a standalone I would suggest reading book one first for a more fuller experience.

That being said I did enjoy this one. Like I said it intrigued me. This author has a unique way of writing. I want to say it was flowery but it wasn't that exactly. I can't really explain it so I guess you'll just have to read it and see for yourself. *lol* The characters were interesting as was the bits of history and info about the different races. In fact, there is a glossary at the end that proved to be very informative.

Overall this one caught my attention enough that I will go back and read book one soon, as well as keep my eyes out for any future books in this series.

ARC review.

I was entrapped in the world of Gem from the beginning of this story. This novella follows Gem through becoming a successful business woman, a life threatening issue, acceptance, and of course romance.

It has everything a story should have. It has the supernatural, the drama, the character building, romance, sex, and much more.
Although the story is mainly about Gem,
Each character, in Dancing with the Devil, has a unique story. The author shows how each characters background and life experiences have shaped who or what they are in some way. You will learn the deep heart wrenching tragic stories of the characters such as Gem, Matt, Annie, and more. You will fall in love with each of them and their stories will make you feel several types of emotions, at once. You will come to know, love, and have such an empathy for the characters and their unfortunate home lives.
I recommend reading this book, along with the Devil's Pride.

Gemini Harrington has inherited a rundown shop. She will make it into a wonderful coffee shop. Unfortunately a health problem she thought beaten returns to devastate her life.
Matthew Garrett is a panther shifter with an anger problem.
There are some terrible murders happening in town that our very special community have to solve.
This is the second in a series that really should be read in order, because our paranormal beings are not quite what we might be used to.
This whole story doesn't turn out the way you think it will and it has a very strange ending.
I can't wait to read the next one.

PNR and novella are typically two words I am not a fan of. This little story, however, had me intrigued from the beginning!

A little bit of romance adds a nice touch to this tale of "Everything isn't always as it seems."

After I finished the first book in this series,The Devil's Pride, I just had to keep reading! Montville is still strange, and it has two new inhabitants. Gemini has never stayed long enough anywhere to grow roots. She hopes Montville will finally be the place where she can stay, especially because she now has a place that she can call her own and her dream of her own business. Matthew has been sent to Montville to help build up a new Lodge in Montville, like the one in Dunham. Matthew feels like he's being sent away, discarded. James, the head of the Lodge in Dunham, thinks the move is necessary, so that Matt can find his way, find a place to settle down. That Matt would find so much in Montville, was more than he ever expected. The world building in these stories is great, and I can’t wait to see what is up next for the Clan in Montville.

ARC received for honest review for CJ’s Book Corner

First, I would highly recommend read The Devil’s Pride which is the first in the Wild Beasts Series. It not only is an amazing book but gives the background needed to know who some of the characters are and a little more about Montville, NY where the story takes place. With that being said, Dancing with the Devil is the next installment in the series and a great story in it’s own.

Gemini Lynn Harrington has landed in Montville NY after inheriting a closed travel agency the building it is in. Her dreams of opening a small cafe are coming to life after having spent her time traveling. But with a illness rearing its ugly head again, she may not get to enjoy the life she wanted.

In steps Matthew Garrett. After being sent to Montville by the Vukovic to try and calm down his temper and gambling ways, he never thought one woman could change who he was or whether or not he wanted it. From the moment he meets Gem, he knows his world is about to change, but he just needs Gem to understand his place in the supernatural world.

If you are a fan of paranormal stories, this series is a great pick. T. Birmingham has created a town where not everyone is as they seem. Her writing style will draw you in and make you want to keep reading. Her stories are full of everything you would want. Some shape shifting hot guys and the women who love them. Thank you T. Birmingham! I can’t wait to read more of this series and some new characters.

100% SPOILER FREE REVIEW
While this is a spinoff Novella of The Devil's Pride it definitely can be read first and it absolutely holds its weight.
From the first word to the last, this story will have you on the edge of your seat. Action packed, fast paced, and full of things that go bump in the night, I was so upset when it ended. T. Birmingham will leave you howling for more. Such a well written and descriptive story.
T. Does a Fabulous job pulling us in to Gemini’s human world, her thoughts and feelings come alive. We learn why Gem never wanted to "settle", that is, until she inherited a run down travel agency in Montville. Where she quickly meets Damon, and Alexia. They are "Other" but what does that even mean?
Gem knows something is off with the new friends she is making, her instincts are telling her to run, but at the same time telling her they mean her no harm. Which one is it?
Gem had suffered through so much as a child with cancer, she had beat the brain tumor and seeing her vision come alive as she turns the old travel agency into a successful Coffee Shop, she is ready to stay put.
When Matt, the new cat in town walks into her life she feels drawn to him like she's never felt before, it's an unnatural pull she feels and she doesn't know if she should be scared or curl up beside him.
She also knows the cancer is back. Will her new friends and lover be able to help her beat her sickness this time, or will not even their magic and special bond be able to cure what's coming for them all?
~ This book is ends on a major cliffhanger and I can't wait to read what the once friend has in store for the group.

I absolutely loved this novella. I would recommend reading the first book in the series The Devil's Pride. Just so you know how it all starts and you get a feel for the characters and story line. Paranormal Romance is my favorite genre and this definitely doesn't disappoint. I am excited to see where the story goes and the release of the next full length novel!!

This is the first book I have read by this author. I am a huge fan of the Paranormal genre. This is the second book in this series.. I have not read the first book and I felt a little bit lost while starting this book. However, that quickly changed once I got into it.

Gemini ( Gem ) inherits a building after a family death. Her dream is to turn it into a coffee cafe. But she knows of her health concerns. She pursues her dreams with the help of her friend(s). This small town she has made her home in is a different world in its own.

Matthews' life is apart of the supernatural world. He has a serious anger program and drinking problem. He is sent this small town to help change his ways. But what Matthew wasn't expecting was to meet a woman that not only can change his ways but also himself.. Also, to help solve this little towns strange murder problem.

This novella has good and definitely sparked my interest. I will definitely be going back to read book one..
