Really good shorter story, a book one. I didn't realize it was a series of books. This first one was good but really a set up for the next book. I think the next book should be quite good, as was this one. It's about a widow and what happens to her after her husband dies. The things she has to do to get things back on track and not lose everything.

Well when you got the chance to meet new authors what will you do? Say Hell no or Hell Yes? Seriously?? You need to think?
Well let me just say that I always, but always say HELL yes because I know that I will love it.
Let's be honest, if the author in question writes the genre that I love I'll dig in for sure but if not I politely decline.
Natalia Banks, like you probably had already found out, is a new author to me and let's just say that I'll stalk her writing.
Her books are full of mystery, some crime, love and some pretty hot stuff into the mix.
Sold is the first book from the Steele Series and what a book.
This book tells Kerri story and let's just say what a story this was.
Kerri had a pretty good life, she had a husband and money but one day that ended.
Her arse of a husband messed with the wrong crowd and end up dead. After that she seek for a financial advisor's help but the guy just run away with all of her money and left her broken and desperate. She needed money, and needed it fast and her only hope was to auction herself in order to get it fast.
Things will happen and let's just say... Nothing. I'm not saying another word. Lol
Well, I wasn't expecting this. What a story this was.
Amazing story full of love, kinky stuff and some suspense into the mix.
The hot scenes are intense and will leave you breathless.
Great plot and the interaction between the characters were great. The story unfolded smoothly and quickly.
Now let's get to the second book.

Seems her husband also left gambling debts she can't pay either and their financial advisor has skipped with what investments they had too.
She decides the only way to get the 200k she owes the mafia is to sell herself at an exclusive bdsm😈🍌🌋👋 auction. Her buyer is a tall handsome and jacked💪 man called Harden Steele.🐺🍌🌋👋
He takes her home and begins to teach her how to give up control. He's a kinky scary dude that keeps her guessing!
The were a few problems with the book, no nda or rules set at the auction was one of them. There were Misspellings throughout, but over all it's a sexy book and a fast read.

Telling the story of widowed Kerri, a retired Hollywood B-movie actress, and Harden Steele, mogul and assistant director with connections no one could have guessed. A year after the death of her husband, and i do use that term loosely, Kerri is learning about the troubles he had left her and she finds no other alternative than to sell herself in a private auction to make up the amounts owed to many. Bought by Harden Steele, she lets herself feel desire, to learn what control is and that attachments are made when you least expect it. Knowing that their time together is only temporary , Kerri will have to decide whether or not she should fight for more.

Together, these two were hot - Harden is used to taking control and Kerri is more than willing to let him take it. He's more than wanting to push her past her limits and then make her feel pleasure like she's never felt before. Natalia Banks wrote a story that was full of pleasure, love, suspense and mystery that makes me impatient for the next instalment of the series to find out what happens to this couple.

I HATE THIS QUICKIE READS THAT GIVE YOU JUST ENOUGH TO HAVE YOU WANTING AND WANTING BUT STOP SHORT OF GIVING IT TO YOU.
This is a serial series that gave you just enough to get hooked in and then bam the end. I was getting wrapped up in Kerria and Harden. The escapades were getting heated and the passion was sizzling. But as I said I don't like being teased and then have to wait, and wait, and wait for the next follow up. This was already a very short read and then to be left hanging in the wind was not acceptable.

This was a very good story line I had nothing left my husband was a no good alcoholic and cheating on my he was a movie star and died in a car crash so I had nothing found out he did not pay the taxes and the mob are after him but with him dead they are going for me no matter what they want their money so I found out I can sell my self and for a lot of money a quite place that billionaires can get what they want no matter what so I sold myself to a man and he takes me away for the weekend so good and exciting every women wants to do this in their dreams oh yeah good loving dirty story just right. I read this book in one sitting as it's a very fast paced,entertaining and plot twisty book you won't want to put down once you start reading it.
Kerri Abernathy is an ex low budget scream queen who ends up in desperate need of some cash asap due to the financial situations her husband Mark left her in.
Her best friend Yvonne gives her an idea of how to get the cash and then that's when the plot really starts getting very interesting.
Enter Harden Steele a very wealthy and powerful gentleman who is in control of everything and everyone around him.
This story will have you gripped to your kindle and turning those pages to find out what's going on with Kerri and Harden.
I can't wait to read book 2 as that sounds like it's going to have even more plot twists.

This was a great little steamy romance with a bit of a dark twist, if you enjoy a strong confident male lead and a page turning plot then you will enjoy this book, it has a couple of steamy sex scenes but nothing too taboo.

This is the first time I have read any of this authors work, and this was not a disappointing read in the least. Kerri is an ex low budget scream queen, who is desperate for cash urgently, after being left in massive debt by her deceased husband. After she auctions herself of for a weekend, she is bought by sexy, powerful billionaire Harden. But is this the end of Kerri’s money troubles? You really need to read this for yourself to find out.
This author has written an amazing story, which has me hooked and intrigued throughout. This is a fast paced, intense, entertaining read, with twists and turns throughout. I cannot wait to read #2!

OMG this book was so amazingly HOT. I loved it, One retired B movie star that is dealing with grief and now looking at possible foreclosure on her home and finding out her late husband owes the Philly Mafia a gambling debt of over 200k Kerri decides to "auction" herself off to possibly help save her home and pay the IRS. When the stunningly gorgeous man purchases her she is scared, nervous, and also aroused. Harden Steel is the name he gives her and the weekend he purchased is filled with passion and also another scare for Kerri, the 2 mafia Mr Death and Mr Kill have shown back up again.
Harden takes care of this for her. But does he really? OH I have ONE complaint to make this does end with a cliffhanger, But in a way that makes you WANT to read the next book!

Fun read. I enjoyed reading about Kerri and Harden. After her husband dies and leaves behind his debt, Kerri has no other choice but to get the money, no matter what it takes. Harden steps in and the fun begins. Can't wait to see what's next.

This is my first book by Natalia Banks and I can tell you for certain, it won't be my last. Ms. Banks has written a fast-paced, suspenseful, and over-the-top steamy story with a plot line that will keep you on the edge of your seat and turning the pages to see how the story unfolds. I really, really loved this book! The writing was smoothe and flowed very well. The characters were easy to like and the hot sex scenes were done very nicely. I didn't get frustrated with any of the characters and the book as a whole didn't feel rushed.
The plot with the husband who died and left Kerri with lots of dept, mob goons wanting the money for there mob boss which leads to Kerri being auctioned to Harden the story was nicely done. Although there is no cliffhanger, I find myself wanting the next book to find out what happens between them.

This was an intense read. Kerri has found herself in financial trouble after her late husbands death and the following financial advisor taking off with her money. She decides to auction herself to earn the money she needs to pay back taxes, as well as the goons her husband was in cahoots with. She never expected to have so much fun with the man that bought her. Harden is nothing like she expected and she quickly falls for him, even knowing that this all will end soon, she cannot get him off her kind. He takes care of the goons for her, or so she thought. They show back up in her home and scares her to death again, talking about raping and killing her. This is a great read, I can't wait to see what happens next with this couple. I voluntarily received and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

This was quite a rollercoaster! You immediately love Kerri and feel bad for her situation. She just keeps falling in deeper and deeper in a hole. Harden is an enigma. You don't know if he is the good guy or the bad guy. In the end he is a little of both. He most definitely pushes Kerri's limits. That connection is real and strong. I am eager to see what happens next for these guys!!

I was shocked. I just kept waiting for something to happen. Like is his name really Harden? Will he hurt her? And then it goes into the goons and they die. .... I could not believe it. I didn't even know he had so many women. And the last was a lunatic. Now I want the other books in this series.

The description of the book on here is not completely accurate. As soon as I started the book I was lost it took me a while to to even get into it. Some places there was so much detail there was almost too much and in other places there was none and it would zoom through events. This book is supposed to happen in a matter of 5 days I believe but within a week for sure. Kerri is an absolute brainless little girl that doesn’t have a clue. She finds out the financial advisor has taken all of her money too the Caribbean. (Just saying had I been in that situation I would have went to the police regardless if they could get to him or not. To at least get it on record.) Which means she is probably gonna have to sell her house that her and her late husband bought. Then her friend comes up with the idea to be auctioned off for the weekend to the highest bidder to come up with the money to save her house. Then the mob gets involved cause dead husband had a debt with them and gives her a week to come up with the money (But they waited a whole year after husband died to come after the money) she didn’t know her husband owed. So she gets desperate and goes to her friend about the auction. They go and she gets spooked, her friend has to get them back in, she goes up gets auctioned and she leaves with the guy Harden that won the auction. (5 mins ago she was freaking out and having a panic attack No contracts No NDAs No rules. They go to his place they have dinner she starts to ask questions.) He takes her to his room somewhat against her will by the way but whatever. He starts telling her what to do commanding her punishing her when she doesn’t do what he wants normal Dom stuff (EXCEPT doesn’t give her the run down of how everything goes, how he does things even when she asked about safe words). She easily starts begging him to f**k her (whom she has no clue about what so ever and has only met him maybe an hour or so ago) he does and it apparently was for hours from what later details say. They go for a drive he f**ks her against a tree out in the open but mainly spend the next day on a boat whale watching having a blast and she apparently starts falling in love with him. That night they go to the fair or something like that and the mob guys show up she tells him they are after he he takes care of the mob and pays the debt for her and gets her off the mobs radar then they go back to his place and he wants her to act like she is resisting him wants her to thrash around pulling at the bonds that hold her down. Sunday she has completely fallen in love with him and doesn’t want it to end. He takes her home she is all weepy and missing him. She waits a day then decides to just go to his house and finds him coming out with a redhead. Kerri and Sandra have words, Kerri leaves and goes back to her house. When she gets inside the mob guys are back they talk s**t and threaten her and Harden… I’m not going to tell the rest and ruin the ending just in case someone wants to read it. It wasn’t my cup of tea though

Not safe or sane. Psychologically effed
I was initially intrigued, hoping for a sort of “gentle master” trope, but this was so tough it made me grimace and want to vomit. Halfway through, I was so disgusted that I couldn’t even finish it. This should come with a trigger warning.
The love interest manhandles the main character in every scene (NOT sophisticated or sexy) and keeps her in such “suspense” that just comes off as creepy rather than mysterious. In one scene, she literally FEARS FOR HER LIFE with him, ignoring all the red flags, and he talks of actually KILLING her while forcing her to have public s*x......so much EWWWW! He also psychologically abuses her in the same scene about her mother and family life...how is this hot? This is sick.
I’m so tired of reading so-called “romance” or even smut where the women are abused or coerced into flimsy “consent”. And especially where the romantic interest has irredeemable behavior (like threatening her life/taking her control where she already had none). Why should she fall for a guy who’s proven to put her in unsafe, scary situations? That’s just messed up and as a writer, I challenge you to tell an empowering story, rather than one where the female is bullied into consent, treated roughly, and then gets the messed up idea that this is love.
I’ve read a lot of dub-con and forced-situation tropes (because there are gems that are safe/sane with good characters/story)...but this was next-level bad. The talk of literally murdering her was just a whole lotta NOPE! The main character’s situation was so dire that nothing that followed could - in all good conscious - be considered consent. And it certainly wasn’t safe or sane, or had any hallmarks of a healthy bdsm encounter (which I think is what the author was going for?).
Skip this if you don’t like to be triggered by genuinely abusive male leads.
I was initially intrigued, hoping for a sort of “gentle master” trope, but this was so tough it made me grimace and want to vomit. Halfway through, I was so disgusted that I couldn’t even finish it. This should come with a trigger warning.
The love interest manhandles the main character in every scene (NOT sophisticated or sexy) and keeps her in such “suspense” that just comes off as creepy rather than mysterious. In one scene, she literally FEARS FOR HER LIFE with him, ignoring all the red flags, and he talks of actually KILLING her while forcing her to have public s*x......so much EWWWW! He also psychologically abuses her in the same scene about her mother and family life...how is this hot? This is sick.
I’m so tired of reading so-called “romance” or even smut where the women are abused or coerced into flimsy “consent”. And especially where the romantic interest has irredeemable behavior (like threatening her life/taking her control where she already had none). Why should she fall for a guy who’s proven to put her in unsafe, scary situations? This genre of books does not fall into my preferred reading bracket and whilst the language flowed smoothly and was mostly typo free, I did find the story line to be a little under developed. Most people in life go through hard times, but Kerri seemed to be rather immature in her responses to being called upon to pay her husband's debts. The fact that she didn't explore viable options before taking the line of least resistance, made the story line a little unbelievable. I wasn't sure whether Mr Kill and Mr Death were goons, comedians or enforcers, however their comeuppance says they were enforcers who came to a sticky end. I think that this writer does have potential, however she does need to developed her work if she wants to be taken seriously in this genre. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. This book was well written and a nice read. Is it going to earn a place on the "keeper shelf"? Probably not. Ms Banks has set this story up for a second book which I'm not sure I will read. I feel like these two characters only had enough "depth" for one book. Hopefully I am wrong.
