I am a woman. I am American. I am a serial killer.
These three things are absolutely true. Everything else here will be half-truth, story woven with biography to hide my identity. If I told nothing but truth, they would find me and stop me.
Those were my very words. Although the book was a wee bit disturbing and gruesome, its thankfully not real but if you're going to write about a psychopath then make the readers believe it and the author definitely did just that. The author took some risks but the creativity was impressive. The book for it being short, is amazing. It is a true portrait of a psychopath and the author hit the nail on the head with using creativity well enough to continue reading and well enough to appear rather realistic. Reading about this reminded me so much of Dexter and American Psycho where both characters have seemingly normal functioning jobs and lives but hide a distinctive fetish for killing. This however, describes that of a female psychopath which we don't exactly read much of or see very many movies about. Good job Asana Clarke on her first debut.
