Fresh out of design school, Camilla Lacey landed her dream job at an established bridal salon in beautiful wine country, St. Helena, California. After only a couple months on the job, it's up to her to make it through wedding season flying solo. Determined to stay focused, she can't let anything stand in her way—not even six feet of golden muscle and the bluest eyes she's ever seen.
Wealthy playboy Carter Brooks was following the life laid out by his demanding family: Ivy League school—check. Promising career at his father’s law firm—check. Suitable bride to act as his plus one at functions—double check. All was going as planned, until a compromising discovery jeopardizes everything.
A romantic and witty chance encounter of two strangers at the wedding event of the year would seem like a fairy tale in the making. The only problem: he's taken, and she's not looking for love. When sparks fly, tempers flare, and tears fall, can they let go of something old and open themselves to something new?
This was a sit down and read... because once you start you can not stop. It was like being there with an old friend and this was truly happening. Great writing and a great read!!!
This book started off like many do, in fact I was worried I wouldn't like it...but I found the characters sucked me in. Even the secondary characters roped me in to liking them. Bea needs her own book, and that's all I'll say. It was short though, and I found myself wanting to know more. The ending caught me a little of guard though which makes me want to suggest it to everyone. I really do love when authors catch me of guard.

My first read for this author and it won't be the last. Great characters, fantastic storyline, perfect evening read. Loved it. I received an ARC and am voluntarily reviewing the story.
Something Borrowed is my first book by Brittany Holland. I loved it and I couldn't put it down until the last page. This is a perfectly written book with the right amount of everything. I loved Camilla and Carter's characters, their back stories and how a chance encounter ignited a love story. Something Borrowed is a great addition to the St. Helena Vineyard Series. I look forward to reading more books by this author.
