Life after Losing is the subject that each of our seven author's were given and it is amazing how they have all written very different stories.
Some are very sad and deal with loss of family members; we also have a couple of lighthearted romantic comedies which takes us through loss of a different kind. One author even gives us a romantic suspense dealing with this issue.
It’s always fascinating how one subject line can be interpreted in so many different ways.
Grab a drink, sit back, relax and enjoy being taken deep into the minds of seven amazing authors.
SANDS (Stillborn and NeoNatal Death Charity) is very real and all the authors were delighted to part of something so amazing.
H. A. Robinson is a jet-setting billionaire with a home on each continent, who spends her free time saving kittens from trees and babies from burning buildings. A graduate of Hogwarts and a frequent visitor to Narnia, she drinks coffee in Central Perk and tames dragons on Westeros.
In her dreams…
In reality, she’s a teaching assistant living in a small town in Cheshire, who would almost always choose fantasy over reality. She’s been an obsessive reader from the moment she picked up her first Enid Blyton book, more years ago than she cares to admit, and enjoys nothing more than getting lost in new worlds and adventures from the minds of all the amazing authors out there.
She’s had the voices of characters in her head for as long as she can remember, and puts them down on paper in order to convince herself and the men in white coats that she isn’t crazy.
Brilliant anthology for a worthwhile cause. Each author has written their own version of Love after Losing and I was pleasantly surprised at the outcome. Definitely one that should be on everyone's TBR list.
I was profoundly touched and moved by these stories. I shed many tears and went through a gamut of emotions.
All of the authors involved are to be congratulated for the sensitive and loving ways they told their stories. It was a reminder that there are many families that have had to deal with these situations. This was accomplished with great sensitivity and brought our attention to the facts that there is also great help from people experienced in assisting families dealing with devastating loss.
It also showed that there is love and understanding and still time for happiness in the future for many who have been affected by devastating loss.
I am proud to know that there are wonderful authors out there trying to connect with us readers to inform them of such organisations as SANDS helping to get many to know of these problems and what we can do to help. Everyone should read this book.
Love after Losing is a really varied mix of stories, some funny, some sad but all thought provoking and with an uplifting message. Definitely worth reading and in doing so supporting a fantastic Charity.
