Anna

I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life. In fact, some of them almost ruined me. But I am a good person. I want to make amends. I want to fix things with my sister and finally have my life back. I want to change, and I’m trying. But I just can't let the past go.

Reaper doesn't make it easy for me. He hates me with a passion. He’s vowed to do whatever he can to get me out of my sister’s life and away from his club. It doesn’t matter. He won't stop me. No matter how terrified of him I am, nothing is going to stop me from changing my destiny and trying to fix the wrongs from my past. Especially when my secret is discovered, giving him all the ammunition he needs.

Reaper

After what seems like an endless stream of problems, things are finally going well with the club. We’re finally getting back to some semblance of normal after the chaos she brought with her before she was sent away. But now she’s back.

She says she’s changed, and maybe she has, but I don’t care. She is the reason it all started, and she’s not welcome here. I will stop at nothing to get her out. I won’t rest until she’s gone. Her beauty will not distract me, and her history doesn’t even matter. I will get Anna away from my club, or die trying.

Title: ➳ ❤ Reaper
Series ➳ Kings of Korruption MC 4#
Author: ➳ Geri Glenn
⭐⭐⭐⭐

ღ We met Anna in book 1 (Charlotte & Ryker) & I gotta say I hated Anna from there on out. Anna has made a mess of her life & pretty much anyone who gets close to her, as her past is full of mistakes that she's finally trying to fix. So she claims….

➦Trust me when I say this, I really wasn’t ready to hear Anna’s story, but I knew that it had to be something special for Ms Glenn to leave it until now. Your whole opinion of Anna changes in this book. Well at lease it did for me. Once you find out the back story on Anna, you understand why she did the stuff she did- & believe or not you see how much Anna suffered & sacrificed for her sister. We know how much Charlotte truly loved her sister & by the end of this story you’ll fall in love her too

➦Beware, Reaper is a total ass in this book.♥●• I have that love/hate thing with Reaper.
➦at times you are thinking wtf was this author doing sticking these two characters, but both are broken in their own way. Together they are one

➦all in all the important thing is Anna & Reaper make the perfect couple in the end… or will they ?

➦📚 Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion

➦ 💕 would I recommend this book: Hell Yes.
➦ would I recommend this Series: Hell Yes. 💕

Ugh, I had love/hate feels for Reaper. I hated him oh so many times, he was a jerk and I loved him for it. Lol. I couldn’t decide whether to give this book 3 or 4 stars, this “love story” was different.

Well I was okay with Anna eventually, probably it was good thing that I read her sister's book a while go, so Anna's bad behavior was fuzzy. Reaper was an utter ass, but then again he felt bad about it and comparatively speaking, he tries to be decent by the end.

So I would normally give this a 2 cause it was just ok. But then Geri Glenn aptly demonstrated that Anna knew the proper application of a cast iron skillet and I was totally cheering her on. That is a rare skill outside of HPlandia, so this book went up a star.

Reaper is a MC romance. Just like other typical MC romance, Reaper offers MC lofe and romance. I usually like my MC romamce gritty, dirty and full of hot sexy times. But Reaper is confusing for me.

There ia more MC club plot compare to the romance. The MC club plot is mediocre. The romance plot is cold and distance. I can not feel he chemistry between Reaper and Anna. Not enough groveling at the end.

I do not develop any connection with Reaper as the hero. While Amna is not helping at all. She just damsel in distress who feels sorry for herself.

Overall this is a promising read. I like the writing. It is flowing easy. Just the plot is poorly executed.

Reaper is the sargeant of arms in an MC. He is going through a hard time because his ex wife his hitting up her mother for money that she doesnt have. She is a user and a cheater. He enlisted and when he came back he found out she had an abortion and she shacked up with someone else. So when his Prez' sister in law comes back into town he wants her out. She started a ripple effect and used her sister as collateral. Her sister forgave her but Reaper doesnt. However there is more than meets the eye. Will Reaper see the true Anna or will his anger over power him

Reaper is the fourth book in the Kings of Korruption MC series by Geri Glenn.

Frankly, I wasn't looking forward to Anna's book. She was a prime character in book one, Ryker, as the sister of the heroine, and I couldn't imagine how she could redeem herself after her horrendous acts.

Anna Daniels was the broken junkie that had sold her sister to a notorious and dangerous Biker. He was called Krueger for a reason. However, that was all in book one, and now in book four, she was on the mend. And she had a backstory known only to her.

Lucas "Reaper" Landry was the big scary Biker that no one would dare cross. He hated Anna for what she did to the club and was determined to push her out of their lives forever. In his mind, her sister was better off without her. Reaper had his backstory as well and was his reason for trusting that someone like Anna could never change nor could she have her reasons that weren't motivated by selfish desires.

Glenn took us through the journey of confronting the past, learning not to judge without all the facts, healing, forgiveness, moving forward, and second chances. She also continued the underlying MC story that was present in all the books so far and will continue in future books.

It started a little slow but it was necessary since it set the stage for the storyline. It also appeared to be a realistic struggle for an addict; a tough but prevalent issue in today's society.

All in all, it was enjoyable and another great addition to the series. Bosco's story is next on the horizon for the King's of Korruption.

Why haven't I read a Geri Glenn book before just wow really loved Reaper It had everything I love in a story ,even though I haven't read the first 3 books in the Kings of Korruption wasn't lost and when I did get a bit confused it was cleared up right away planning to read Ryker and Charlottes book because they are mentioned a bit in this and I fell for the both of them . Oh my gosh Anna felt so sorry for that girl she goes through so much to save her sister without anyone knowing the reason to why she did the things she did so selfless . Now Reaper I have mixed feelings about when we get to know the real him when its just him and Anna I totally fell for him and other times I did not like him but he makes up for it in the end though so overall good hero . They made an amazing couple hot chemistry with even hotter sex scenes . Will be reading more by this author

Gotta say I hated Anna from book 1 in the series. I get she had "reasons" for being how she was. But it was NO excuse for doing what she did to her sister. Needlesstosay I still don't like her and never felt much empathy for her. That being said, Reaper was about as big an asshole as he could be. And his jerk behavior was on repeat throughout the book.

It was a book with zero chemistry, zero romance and 2 unlikable characters who I could have cared less if they ended up together to not.

I enjoyed the series overall, but would not have missed a thing skipping this book.

At least there was no cheating, but there were separations, H pushing away and treating h like total shit. Heroine forgiving WAY too easily at the end. If not for certain events, I do not believe they would have gotten back together.

The Hero was too awful to the heroine for too long without adequate remorse/grovel and the heroine just rolled over when he gave his two paragraph apology. Plus, too many unrealistic situations presented like this scene. Sure...it could happen 🙄:

“Ryker and I both charge toward the house, only to be blocked by several officers. “Sir, you can’t go in there,” one of them says, shoving me back.
“Fuck that,” Ryker growls. “That’s my wife in there.” His fist comes up and he lands a punch to the one cop’s jaw. He drops like a stone, and Ryker’s shoving past.
“You wanna be next?” I say to the man in front of me.
“Fuckin’ bikers,” he mumbles, stepping aside and waving his hands toward the door like Vanna White”

I read the book on one setting it was okay till it got to the end!! WTH!?? There was little to no grovelling!!! So he called her a junkie, trash, poison behind her back and whore, bitch, scum to her face in public? And then when she showed up to tell him about the baby he kicked her out implying that she is a whore and then he says sorry its because I couldn’t get over my ex for 16 years!!! WTH it get worse she takes him back and all it took is a simple sorry and him holding her hands for 2 days , i’m so mad 🤬

I truly hated Anna when she was mentioned previously in the series, but now I feel bad for her. She has had a tough life! After knowing all the details, I feel very differently about her. Not to say that she hasn’t made mistakes - because, dear Lord, she has!

A quest for redemption, a lot of drama and animosity, plus a dash of spice, makes for a great story. 👌

***WARNING***
This is full of spoilers and is a review/rant that touches on the subject of abortion. If this is at all a trigger for any, do not read on.

I don’t like “surprise” pregnancies. And that’s not a spoiler, because the story starts off with Reaper coming home from the military, and his young wife gone, leaving a note behind telling him that she aborted their baby and ran away with another man. Now Reaper, has really wanted to start a family, and his wife did not, but he wanted her to have it, and he says excited things and that they would be doing it together, but—-first! He has to be gone for the first 6 months of her pregnancy.....1) I am not surprised that she ended up saving herself and running away and 2) why is the lady who get’s the abortion, cause she didn’t want the child, always the villain? And 3) whenever abortion is in romances, it’s always the “bad” option that you should never choose or they pretend it isn’t a viable option. Ever.

So naturally, the now ex-wife does turn out to be an actual terrible person, but for me her terribleness did not start with the abortion. It started when we had it explained that she was using her mother for money, and then from there it just pilled on top of one another of how terrible Reaper’s ex was. Now that’s not the only thing that upset me, but it was the main one, and everything else added on till I couldn’t take it, and around the 60% mark, when Anna becomes pregnant, I dnfed that book so fast it made my own head spin. So ya, vilifying women who get abortions, not cool. Raising women up who become pregnant and probably should not have, and having them keep the baby and seen as the true good, not cool either! Also, I just couldn’t understand the chemistry for Anna and Reaper; my head was never able to wrap around them being good for one another. If anything, they both seemed too destructive when in each other’s vicinity.....rant/review over!

This books gave me lots of feels. I’m a sucker for books where there’s a downtrodden heroine who everyone hates on, despite the fact that she’s kind hearted, and then to have the hero be horribly cruel to her was the icing on my angst cake. Reaper was a bastard and Anna deserved better. I cried several times throughout the book and really appreciated the epilogue as I felt it was definitely needed.

“His words are like bullets to the paper-thin confidence I’ve managed to build up, ripping through it and bleeding me from the inside out.”

This was my first read from this author, so I jumped into this series without knowing any background. But I feel like the author did a great job to get me up to date at the start. And what a start it was.

Reaper is the SOA, and a tortured broody man. He’s got no time for Anna, who is back in town after being sent away after all the trouble she brought to her sister and the club. Some forced proximity changes things.

I liked this one. The hero is an absolute JERK. But I was in the mood for just that, so it worked for me. There could have been more grovel though. There is so much more than meets the eye for both of these MC’s though. It wasn’t a perfect read for me, but it kept me mostly entertained throughout. Would read this author again!

I liked this addition to this series. But beware, Reaper is a total ahole in the book. It's hard to explain how he can go from being an ass to a sweet, caring man. He's carrying around a lot of emotional baggage from his first wife and the loss of a baby he dearly wanted. Anna has a history with the club and is disliked by many because they don't know her full story. She turns out to be a strong woman who is a recovering drug addict trying to turn her life around. There were times I want to slap Reaper but it all came together in the end. No cheating and a HEA.

Anna has made a mess of her life, as her past is full of mistakes that she's finally trying to fix. Anna is currently staying with her sister and her husband, while trying to stay clean, but Reaper, one of her brother in law's brothers, hates her, and is making it really hard for her to let the past go. He straight up told her that he will make sure that he will get rid of her one way or the other. Reaper is still upset with how badly Anna messed everything for his club, and finally some of that chaos is calmed down, when she comes back. He doesn't care how many times she says she's changed, he wants her to know without a shadow of a doubt, that she's not welcome there. However, Anna is finally done letting anyone push her around, and nothing will stop her from fixing the bridges she blew up. OMG WOW! Reaper came very close to bringing me to my knees with heart wrenching emotion. Seriously, so many dramatic emotions of mine are running riot, I can't even go to sleep. Anna's childhood was a nightmare, and although she has made mistakes, that past was the catalyst to set up many of the mistakes she made, and she never tells anyone, not even her sister. That made me respect her a ton, as she never made excuses, she just did her best to mend fences. Reaper, well no matter how mouth watering hot he was, (and he was), so many of the boneheaded choices he made towards Anna lit me up, and I was mad for most of the book at him. In fact, not sure that I'm still not mad at him. Geri Glenn is a newer author to me, and even though this is only the second story that I've read, I can say without a shadow of a doubt, I'm a fan girl. Her brilliant writing style had me instantly invested, ad I was transported into her amazing world. The angst is off the charts gut wrenching, but there's quite a few twists that came out of left field, leaving me dropping loud f-bombs. I'm so excited to add another amazing author to my list of favorites, so it stands to reason that I'll be impatiently waiting for the next book to choke me up with emotion! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I went into this book fully hating the FMC but at the end i hated MMC

- first thing first this book started off really good but then at the middle I felt uneasy and then at the end I hated this book.
- the storyline was very good however the male character was an a******.
- one thing I hate about books is when the FMC tells the MMC that she was brutally molested and then proceed to throw it to her face. That messes me up.
- I feel like the author prefer the MMC baby mama abortion storyline than the FMC sister storyline of being molested by The Stepfather. Because of that I hated the MMC how he treated her because I don't think his background story was so horrible that he had to treat another woman the same way. Especially when MFC went through something more horrific than him.
- I know this is a MC Motorcycle book so the language it is book is going to be hard to listen to and read however the first three books the men was so much better so much more respectful so when he talks to her certain way it upsets me.
- the storyline in this book really brought me down so much that I don't even want to read the next book in the series, now I'll have to wait and hopefully the feeling I have towards his book doesn't keep me angry when listening to another book.

Rating: 4 Stars - Loved It

Wow! Geri Glenn is an amazing story teller. She took a secondary character Anna from Ryker (Kings Of Korruption #1) who I was not a fan of because of her bad actions into a main character that I was rooting for to get a happily after.

You all Reaper is an a**. There are harsh moments and breaks my heart what his says to Anna. But I understood where he is coming from. Kings Of Korruption MC is his family and he will do anything to protect the people he cares for.

This book was an emotional rollercoaster about new beginnings with two broken characters. Loved the slow burn romance. I am loving this series as not one book or character is the same.

Considering all the ups and downs with Reaper and Anna there were nice little breaks with club business and fun banter with club members. Ryker the President who I adored in book 1 had so much respect for him in Reaper's story.

Anna sold her hard working, younger sister to another MC when she could not pay the $15,000 she ‘borrowed’ from them. Pass.
That is evil. Anna is not redeemable is my opinion.

I liked this one, it wasn't perfect and had some issues but I think the fact that I haven't read any of the previous ones meant I didn't have any preconceptions about Anna so she didn't have to work as hard for me to make up for past mistakes.

I felt for her with her past and understood the reason for her addiction. I did wonder regarding her addiction past as to why it was never discussed when she went to the hospital especially due to the fact that she was know to take anything she could get her hands on, especially prescription drugs. I don't know enough about it to fully disregard it, but it didn't seem to fit with that aspect of the story and I felt like the addiction part was just dropped or ignored to progress the storyline.

That being said I did like her. She struggled but was determined to do the right thing. Her past meant that everyone was against her, and some (looking at you Reaper) were pretty verbal about that, but she just took her punches and kept on. She was a strong female character.

Reaper - I did at times like him. I could take his verbal attacks on Anna at the start, but once he knew her past and had gotten together with her, his about face was totally inexcusable. He verbally slayed her on things that he knew weren't fair but kept on, and then when he decided he wanted back, he just expected her to forgive him because he was apologizing. The fact she forgave him so easily annoyed me.

I did enjoy it though and I think I will revisit this series in the future

Anna definitely made a major mistake. I mean, I don't blame Reaper for being so mean to her because it's indeed her fault that King lost so many people. It's like a chain reaction. But I was expecting more... I don't know, savage moment from Reaper. He caved in way too easily, especially in book one, Anna's described as club whore right? Yet now all of a sudden she became this "clean" heroine. How I wish the transition isn't this smooth. So yeah, could be better!

Wow. What a book. We finally find out more about both characters. I couldn't put book down once started.

I loved Reaper and Anna together, they both had attraction but both have a past that hinders them. Reaper doesn't trust women, but when he finds out Anna's story he tries and helps. They make a great couple. But takes them a while.

I can't wait for more.

Reaper & Anna

I wasn’t sure I wanted to read Reaper and Anna’s story. I wasn’t sure I liked either of them too much. I’m glad I did read it. Reaper had to redeem himself more than once in my eyes. Anna is so much more than I ever expected. What a glorious love story. Two people that love each other and deserve the best happily ever after.
