MAXI need a bride. Today. My empire depends on finding a wife, any woman. I need a pretend wife for a few weeks and will pay handsomely too. No strings attached. No commitments. Not even a kiss. No wifely duties required. I have other women for that. That’s exactly why I’m known as a brute. I walk into the pub, intent on leaving with a bride, but instead, I’m fighting some woman’s battle, saving her, and taking her home with me because she has nowhere to go. Then I get a bright idea. Perhaps this spitfire of a woman will marry me.MIA I’m on the run, trying desperately to escape the nightmare that’s been my life. When Maxwell saves my life in the pub, I agree to pay him back by becoming his pretend bride. It’s a win-win for me. I pretend to be his real wife, and he protects me from my past. Perfect plan until I realize the fire burning for him is as real as the ring on my finger. And the way he ogles my body can’t be fake. This is not part of our marriage contract. FAKE WIFE NEEDED is a standalone, happily ever after romance novel with loads of steam!
This is actually 2 stories in one ebook. They are nice friendly low-angst romances where a very rich guy needs an instant wife to maintain his standing in the family, and he stumbles on a very poor woman in dire straits. Other than the fast start, these stories are slow burners. Intense but not sizzling sex, and mostly normal people - except for the bad guy.
My only caution is don't read these back-to-back. They are very similar in structure, which really detracted from the enjoyment for me.
I'm just in a mood to read something light with no cliff hangers..A perfect happy ending and Mia Carson's books seems to be a good option at the moment. It's just like a marathon..I am reading most of her books one after the other and honestly enjoying them.
This story is about a girl who is in an abusive relationship and about a billionaire mogul who wants a fake wife..They both meet in a bar and things move on from there.. Overall a good read!!
It was just a messy rush job. None of the dialogue or scenarios felt genuine, with the former being quite cringe in places. Both MMC and FMC were flat, and though we were told they experienced character growth, we never really saw much. Was hard to find anything redeeming about this book.
I loved these stories. I enjoyed the characters and the setting. I like how she didn't drag on in the book. She was straight and to the point. It was a quick read for sure because you wanted to know what was going to happen.
I enjoyed both stories in this book love stories to make you smile. Mia is in A bad relationship and max needs a fake wife they come together when they need each other the most. Love happens
I read this book in one night. I did stay up the whole night because once I started I couldn't stop. I loved that I didn't have to think or feel. I just really enjoyed the book. Perfect for a Friday night.
Umm, not sure what to say. The book had potential to be better. Mostly it felt rushed. Maybe because it ended at 47%. There were inconsistencies that annoyed me so that dropped a star.
Loved the original story and the bonus story. The alpha and the beautiful lady in both stories were awesome and played well off each other. A must read!
Very good short lovable story. I really enjoyed this story. These two people found each other and learned to love each other after abuse and low self esteem.
Oh I loved this story! Loved Mia and Max, and of course Jeremy 😊 Would've really liked an extended epilogue though, think it needed it with what was going on at the end and being told as high risk, would've liked a year or more epilogue just to make it perfect 😊 ...
Although they fell in love quickly, I really loved reading about Max and Mia. Their story was believable and a joy to read. I really liked Jeremy too, he was such a fun character and a great friend to Max.
I didn't enjoy the second story so much. It was too far fetched and when Chase paid the debt off with Mickey it became ridiculous. The debt was less than 100,000 yet Chase paid fifty million????? I mean really. I expected him to say...double the amount or even 1 million, fifty? I needed there and didn't read any more.
