From a Readers’ Favorite award—winning author and “queen of the family saga” (Aherman): Luc McCabe is a man on the edge. Not only has he given up on his ideal happily ever after, which includes a man who’ll love him and children of his own. He’s leaving behind his old life that has been only been about endings.
What Luc doesn’t realize is sometimes love happens unexpectedly.

Don't Hide From Me is the fourth book in the McCabe Brothers series and focuses on youngest brother Luc. If you have read the previous books, it helps set the scene for this book, although it probably could be read on it's own.
Luc is having the hardest time of the brothers, and part of that is because Luc wants a relationship, marriage and a family, and that hasn't always been available to him, since Luc is gay. Now, things are changing and Luc is refusing to be anyone's secret, he wants it all, the same things his brothers all have.
This book is really a conclusion to the series in a way, focusing on Luc, but at the same time tying up any loose ends from the previous books, and wrapping up the McCabe Brother's into a neat little package.
I have no problem recommending this to readers of any age, just know they storyline going in so that you aren't caught off guard if you aren't open to reading the story. It is a good story line, and the family dynamics that you find in this book relate to a great number of people.
Eckhart continues the McCabe series with this novella featuring Luc. This was an interesting turn in her writing. I appreciated the story and the writing was great. Her characters always come alive from the pages and this story had me intrigued.
Luc is a gay man looking for all the things family men look for - the love of his life to settle in a home and have a family. The trick is finding the right person and that person being willing to live out of the shadows of homosexuality. This book is well written. I enjoyed getting caught up with the other McCabe brothers and their families.
I highly recommend this book to fans of the contemporary romance genre. I voluntarily read and reviewed a complementary copy of this novella.
Julian is resistant to coming out to his family and business associates. Luc McCabe is no longer willing to be his “dirty little secret.” When Julian reaches out for a second chance, it’s revealed they’re connected in more ways than one. As they’re starting to rebuild what they had together, forces within Julian’s family are determined to keep them apart.
Luc and Julian’s story is filled with emotions, dramatic twists, and passionate relationships. The storyline is engaging, touching on the issue of coming out gay, family relations and dealing with prejudices. It’s especially nice to get another look in on the lives of Vic and Fiona, Chase and Rose, and Aaron and Brittany. It’s a captivating tale you’ll find hard to put down. This is a wonderful edition to this delightful series!!
What a wonderful story this was. Luc is gay and his past boyfriend is still in the closet, unwilling to tell his family. But he is also married and Luc didn't know. They are brought together again when Luc goes with Rose to the lawyer to protect her as a favour to his brother Vic. There he sees Julian. But also finds out that he is Rose's ex's brother. Can Luc and Julian work it out? Will Julian stay married or finally come out to his family. A horrible, wife-beating brother. Two gorgeous gay men. A still-terrified woman. A devoted partner. A ruined business. Kicked out of a house. This book was fabulous and I absolutely loved it.
While technically this book was supposed to focus on Luc McCabe, it really was about all of the McCabes. Not to say that there wasn't a story about Luc and his partner Julian but it seemed to revolve more about the relationship between all of the brothers. That said I have mixed feelings on this book since it simply seemed to revisit all of the earlier relationships rather than focusing on a new one. However, the author does suggest that there will be another story featuring the previously unknown McCabe sister. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.
Another good visit with the McCabe Brothers! This time it's Luc's story. This was a short read but really good bringing the whole family together. I love these family sagas that show off each member of the family in their own stories. It's always interesting to see the dynamics of family interaction. And Ms. Eckhart does it so well!
I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
This is the first book ive listened to from this author and this narrator.
The narrator was good, I think he is more suited for 2-3 character reads, there was a lot of characters to follow and hard to tell them apart voice wise.
The story was good, however I do recommended reading the series in order as the stories from the previous books come through in this one.
I enjoyed this audiobook of Luc McCabe. Narrator, Jason voiced thus book well. I like that I get to know the family developments in each book. Luc wanted what his brothers have, marriage and kids. Lucwanted to find a life partner who was open about being gay and wanting the same as him. That is his mission in this book.
interesting enough! i started with this book on audio and its easy enough to pickup! the recap over the past couple of books is good enough that its quite easy to pickup. MM romance, quick and easy to listen to. Narrators voice fits the story and makes it easy to listen to.
I enjoyed it. 3 star listen. Gifted audio in exchange for an honest review.
4 stars!! Each book is about a sibling and all are different and unique stories! Enjoyed each character and their stories .... alphas and strong ladies to boot. A little insta love but enjoyed none the less.
Luc is the last of the McCabe brothers to find true love. He has issues with his past and comes to terms to realize that he can be happily married and a father.
Merged review:
A story about a family who love each other and not afraid to show it. Luck comes to terms with his big brother Vic, who he believes has issues about his lifestyle. The 4 brothers come together to support each other in their own personal trials. Beautiful story which was well written.
This book tells the story of Luc the fourth McCabe brother. There are lots of twists and turns as the story unfolds which adds to the appeal of the book. All the brothers are featured along with Luc as they help to guide him in his relationship with Julien. The book in very well written with a great storyline. It is definitely one to read and enjoy.
I’m completely enjoying this new series by Lorhainne Eckhart. Each of the brothers have been adopted as children, so each has a different background. This book concentrates on Luc. It seems that Luc is still finding himself both personally and professionally. When traveling with Rose regarding her divorce, he runs into a former lover, who coincidentally knows Rose. Although Luc is the main character, several things are wrapped up from prior books in this series. A great read – can’t wait until the next one!!!
This book felt like an in between book. Tying up the last book while preparing you for the next one. It shows the family dynamics & who each relate to one another in the family. Not my favorite.
This is Luc Mc Cabe's story although all the brothers make an appearance in this book. It explains the angst that Luc is experiencing being a gay man and being accepted as such. This amazing family have such strong ties to each other and by the end of the book Vic the eldest Mc Cabe brother and Luc have finally found the bond that both always hoped would prevail. A very emotional story touching on some very sensitive topics but it was beautifully written. Another winner for Ms Eckhart.
