Alfonzo #24

Absolution

Rate this book
Alfonzo: Absolution Volume 24 continues the family saga...

Alfonzo attempts to clear the way for his family's return to the states. Keeping a good image results in a lie that Alfonzo's wife isn't co-signing. However, that's small considering there's a royal relative on another level of crazy out for blood. Add, in Giuseppe's aversion to family therapy and the drama is on.

While learning a new language, I'm not sure where this review will post.

Previously on Alfonzo.... Al and the family gang were under attack. So much So Sal and the younger crew, along with help from Nico had to take charge. The family's royal heritage was revealed and Geo and Shanda wanted to make up the lost time.

Let's say these short books are not my favorite. Here is why. While I appreciate the effort in giving me a heart pounding ride, gave me questioning 'What's happening next?', the less poetic writing, the maturity of characters. It takes almost 2 months before the next book comes out. It reads like a weekly series. I know the author probably likes feed back of each 'episode'. I guess my issue is I can't remember exactly everything that happened in the previous book and I'm too lazy to go back, that's my fault.
You can tell each book now is written for tv, so I'm almost inclined to ask her if there will be a season finale? A spin-off? Lol

This book seemed to get to the softer side and big shift for the family. Lo and Diane need their own series. Amelda, girl I need a break from you. How is this latest development going to work out for the new and legally formed Geo DiChinzo crew? Lol I mean damn Amelda. I will agree, we are 2 books in, with La Princessa being the villain....👏👏👏 yes! I love it. I guess I will be back

In Absolution we join the family after an attempt on not only Alfonzo, Giuseppe, and other family members lives, but this time Salvatore, Selange and Alfonzo's oldest child, was also caught in the fray. This is not the first time one of the kids were in danger, but for Sal, he really gets to see the danger that his parents have been trying to protect he and his siblings from. What I love most about this series is that with each new installment you get to see how the characters grow and find their way through the chaos of their everyday lives while always making sure that above all else family, no matter how trying, will always come first. I give Absolution 4.5 stars!

I was confused with the abrupt beginning.

I started reading this book and felt that I had missed some chapters. The last book ended on a chaotic note. Seems several weeks have passed and everyone has recovers and it is business as usual. Lots of loose ties.

The go by so fast.

Another great installment for this Saga, they always leave me wanting more. I immensely enjoyed the drama, if you haven't started being at book 1.

What???

What is happening with this series? The books have gotten so short, they're short stories. The chapters amount to paragraphs. You're pulled in because your favorite characters are involved and always have a crisis. I bought and read nine books in the series this month, not counting the ones I bought last month and had loaned to me.

The length of this book is ridiculous. I bought it less than three hours ago and have already finished it. I noticed the books were getting shorter but really wanted some questions answered. I've also noticed that less people are reviewing the books, which I think means less people are reading. I think when people originally started with this series, they had to wait a couple of months for the next book and didn't realize how short they got.

The plotlines get thinner and thinner from book to book. I read eight or nine of the beginning of the series over a year and a half ago and stopped reading because of the inconsistency in the writing. I shouldn't have started reading this series again. The only reason I don't request a refund is because I did read the book and that would be cheating, which is exactly how I feel - cheated. The books should be labeled cliffhangers rather a series. I'm left with more questions than answers.

The reviews for Americano doesn't make me want to read it plus it costs more. Arraignment is shorter and cost more with fewer reviews. Those were 26 and 27 with 25 having so much confusion surrounding it, I just have to say " Enough!" There are other very good Interracial, Mafia books that I've yet to finish and are much longer with extremely developed plotlines and characters. Even with unanswered questions, I'm finished.

Never a Dull Moment

Just when it looks like a little calm is in reach All He'll breaks loose. I'm happy for Amanda and Giuseppe, but he has got to learn to think things through. I hate that Gio is always so impulsive.
Asante is interesting, I hope he last. Now it's going to be interesting with Asmelda.
Such a good series.

Man what is going on? Not Nico…I don’t think I’ll read these anymore if Nico’s not going to be a major part of them. The ending has me wanting to get to the next one but it seems like these are getting shorter and shorter. Can’t wait for the next one, hopefully it won’t take as long to come out.

Libramè

Let's go! The Princessa is in a world of trouble. She has Selange after her now. I think the woman of the family are more alpha than their men. Don't mess with their family or the ones they love. They don't play.

How many attacks can one family handle? Can Al survive another hit? We see the next generation Sal, Darren and Aaron, come to the rescue of their elders. Is this a hint of things to come?

Gio is so happy that Shanda is alive and made his dreams come true. Now they have to work on their children Carlo and Gia to accept the parent that was absent in their life. I'm so happy for Gio and Shanda.

Nico appears to be slowing down. He's trying his best to be a better father to his younger children than he was to Darren and Aaron. I hate to see him down. I hope his recovery is quick, the family needs him.

Assante is a new character in the mix. I see him as being an asset to the family, if Gio's insecurity don't get the best of him first..

I have enjoyed this series thoroughly. S.W. Frank is an excellent story teller. The only complaint I have is that that the last several books have just been too short.

Absolutely Action-packed And Amore Abound - A is for Alfonso!

There was so much going on between so many people you would think it was too much but SW Frank proves once again her skill. If you are a fan of the Alfonso Miniseries this is a great addition.

I don't want to include in spoilers because this volume needs to be experienced. To any newcomers this is not a standalone. I know many have grown weary of series but this is a miniseries in print. Each volume is a new episode and the series is top-notch. Come take a ride with Alfonso.

SW - Salud chica!

WOW!!

Well once again I am pulled into the Giacanti Family, and all the drama that follows this crazy mixed up family.I love that the writer is not giving us a easy road to Gio and Shonda, you are getting a real look at two people trying to make their way back to one another .I love we are getting a human Nico and its kinda of nice, but I would so love for someone to emerge and stand beside the forever watchful. This was short and right in the action were you will always be with this family.I so look forward to the next installment and I look forward to Gio and Shonada to have their happiness and their crazy, funny and sexy love. This was just the fix I needed to hold me over till the next time.

Too Short

This was the shortest book ever of this series. Even though it was jammed packed with action. If your gonna cut on the content then you should cut on the price as well....I'm just sayin!!!!

The Heat is On!!

It's great reading how the Giacanti clan are dealing and handling the aftermath from the events from the previous book Alphas. The heat is on to find out more info and unravel more secrets in order to keep the family safe. There are several events that take place in this book that will you will be cheering for and others that will make you really pay attention to what's going on. I'm very much looking forward to reading the next book to find out more.
