Confused

This book had me confused at some points. Cause Keisha would go from 3 kids to 2 kids back to 3 to four like huh. One kid was missing for like the whole year I’m like where is Kori every time the other kids around? And Keisha needed her ass handed to her twice. I love Antwon and Ella’s relationship. It surprised me that it took so long for them to find out that Ella was a stripper. She put up with a lot of bull shit from Antwon and the White House. There was a lot of misspelled words as well. But I overall love the book.

Ok read

This was an ok read. It could have been better, it was slow paced and sometimes boring. I however liked the way they were there for each other and never gave up. The love they had for each other was what made them a powerful couple.

This was an ok read. I don't want to go to in depth and spoil the book for others but the story didn't flow as flawlessly as the other Nako books I've read in my opinion . It could be because this is an older book. But i reccomend you read and just for yourself.

Very good

I was lucky enough to read this for the first time this weekend. It was a pleasure to read books 1 and 2 together. I loved that Antwon stayed true to his humble beginnings and I love the way he fell in love with Ella unexpectedly and unashamedly. They were so real together and didn’t hold back on their emotions with one another. I cried real tears as they reached new levels and made new accomplishments together. Great read!

Enlightening read

Way to go Nako, this book portrays that everyone has a dream that only they can make come true! The way you wrote the struggles of everyone’s lives to success was so intriguing. The love, sacrificial struggles the Young’s overcame was phenomenal. From the streets to the White House and unbreakable love, struggles and endurance; whew a great read and job 💪🏾💪🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Was completely taken off guard by the political storyline due to preparing for something I thought it was that turned out to be something I wasn't anticipating.
In a different political climate I might have been more intrigued by what this book offered, but after the last 6 months of dealing with a wannabe Dictator in the White House I have absolutely NO INTEREST OR ENERGY IN Political topics ! Reading FICTION is MY ESCAPE at least for the foreseeable future.

Amazing

Everything that Nako touches turns to gold. She is a phenomenal author and this book was exceptional. It was a very different type of book then the usual urban fiction. It was refreshing to read a different type of story. Thank you Nako. For all your hard work. May you continue to produce such beautiful masterpieces.

If We,Ruled the World

This book showed another side of this talented author. The topics covered included everything we face in 2018. The challenges the main characters faced were so relatable as reader you couldn't help but feel as though you lived it. Nako is definitely an author to follow.

Not what I expected...

This book had a lot going on. I was rocking with it at first when Ella was a law student, however I was disappointed with the falling in love with a stripper storyline as it has been overused. Antwon’s experience as the Mayor of Atlanta was entertaining. Yet, his rise to the US Presidency was somewhat unbelievable.

The power of #blacklove

I loved how author depicts the ambition of Ella and Antwon. I was so glad that she put a focus on mental illness where readers will understand that even with a mental illness there is no limit of what you can do in your life, as well as impacting others. Check out "the real "First Lady in this read!! Strongly suggested 😉

Really good read!

I enjoyed the saga of Ella and Antwon as they navigated love, social issues, politics, parenthood and more. It was detailed and followed easily. The love scenes kept me engaged and although I'm not a very politic person I loved the depiction of intellectual black people standing firm together.

Enjoyable

Politics. Not something you normally find as a plot line in urban fiction and I really enjoyed it.

I found the characters interesting and the story fast paced. A definite good read.

Part 1 was good and interesting. The second half of the book was long, boring and repetitive. Too much back and forth and the same arguments with zero growth. Also, the grammatical and spelling errors were annoying, especially since it’s a re-release.

Loved this book

I can't believe i waited all this time to read this series. It was great and I've read most of her books. So much truth went on in this story that i got emotional with the characters but it was well worth my tears and laughing.

Nako is def an author that I enjoy! It took me a minute to get through this book but I did enjoy the story. I loved the way Antwon loved Ella and remained true to himself. There were several misspelled words..letters being transposed.

Whew

These few lil lines will do nothing to describe this book! I wish I could give it more. 👑👑👑Nako is the Beyonce of Urban Fiction. There isn't an author alive in the genre that can tell a story like Nako does. For those of you who will read this book do me a favor and read it without expectations. Its unlike anything you've ever read and I ensure you you're not going to be disappointed! The Romance between Ella and Antoine is simply beautiful. Kudos Queen 🍷to another #1
