Billie grew up, lives and is lost in Indiana. In the smallest of small towns that is not even worth mentioning.  She has 4 children, two dogs, a cat and a husband that deals with a house full of females. He is the perfect book boyfriend and her inspiration.  
She spends her time reading, constantly reading, swimming, procrastinating, playing in photoshop and writing. Any other free time is spent with her amazingly sexy, tattooed, serious arm porn having husband, who is the best husband on the planet and her best friend.   She loves to live inside the fantasy world that only books can provide and the voices in her head are her chosen confidants.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this book, I just knew it would be fun. This was so true, I mean she turns 40 and then meets a shifter, a vampire, a Goddess , an alien and the Fae and gets magical powers. who wouldn't want that?? I would definitely keep the shifter for myself lol. Through the whole book, little moments that happen in life came up and I'm thinking this is so true! The author hit the nail on the head. The only thing that took away from me giving 5 stars was that it was written in the 1st person. The story itself was fun and imaginative and her 40th Birthday was an awesome Birthday.

Birthday Witch was definitely a fun and different read. This book really is unlike any book I have read and was full of twists and turns.

I really enjoyed all of the characters in this book and would love to read another story involving this group. I was actually sad to get to the end because I wanted more. There were a few places I had to go back and reread to make sure I understood what was going on but otherwise the writing was good.

Well what a enchanting read.
This is a new to me author and I’m very pleased to have found a new name to follow in 2018.
It’s fantastic to have a heroine who’s 40, I love the wit and sarcasm throughout the dialogue, usually from Shay and of course the heat in the form of shifter Luke and vampire Jace, two alphas wanting her.
They Say like begins at 40, certainly a whole new life is about to begin again for Shay but first there’s the small matter of being the chosen queen who’ll need to save this alternative realm that she knew nothing about first !
Why not loose yourself in some magic, it’ll. be worth it.

Our heroine discovers she is the magical queen of a foreign realm on her fortieth birthday. Not so over the hill, eh?

I picked this book up because it looked like fun and I was not disappointed. The author has a very dry sense of humor and the book shows that throughout. The characters are fun, sarcastic and more than a little confused by all that is happening. The story is a bit unusual in that our heroine doesn't spend much time in her new realm, but unusual is good. Perhaps we will see more of that in the future.

In the meantime, we get a variety of interesting characters, a lot of snarky fun and some very sexy scenes. Well worth your time.

I love paranormal reads so jumped at the chance to read this by new author Billie Dale.This book is a quirky refreshing fun read that I really enjoyed.Its full of adventure,twists and turns and some red hot sexy moments that had me hot too!!
Its Shay’s 40th birthday but to Shay its just another day now divorced she lives with her two daughters and a cat called Kozmo whom she has a love hate relationship with.Shes not expecting her special day to amount to anything but shes about to find out how special she really is!!Learning she is infact a Queen in the realm of Erigate and has been chosen to rule she must first lead them into a battle to restore peace in Erigate. Turning her world upside down,along with her sexy protector and trainer Luke he trains her to harness and use her powers to defeat the enemy.As training begins Shay tries to ignore the powerful attraction burning between them needing to focus. With this new world to protect,new alliances,vampires,Shifters,Aliens and Goddesses can Shay step up to the plate,take control and do what needs to be done?
Luke hes sexy protective and totally alpha he has secret hes keeping, trying to keep his feelings for Shay dampened down but with a sexy vampire on the prowl he may have held back too long!
I loved this book from start to finish the secondary characters were great Declan,Jace,Kali her daughters Kassy and Bryenna they all had their place in the story.Fast paced and exciting this book wil pull you in and take you on Shays journey into a new world,new life and love.I cant wait to see what Billie has in store next.

Amazing!!

Well that wasn’t what I expected! I’m simply without words to properly define my utter surprise. I’m delighted and I must admit a little lighter in the stress I was carrying, prior to this read. I can’t remember laughing, smiling, giggling and grinning like a fool this way, especially from a book. This wonderful author took me on a hysterical, lovely, charming and super hot ride from cover to cover. Seriously this story has it all. This epic, funnier than hell storyline takes you to fairylands and lust filled dangers in a bat of your eyelashes. It was so fantastic, everything simply everything was perfect. Made me feel like I got the cure to all that ails me. You must read this if you want to have a fantastic ride of your life. So brilliantly written, such fabulous imaginative and creative merging of characters. I’m thrilled to recommend this book and tell you , you’ll be thrilled and ignited by its afterglow. Well done!

A funny, sexy book with a sassy, single mom protagonist who has to grapple with a milestone birthday, a snarky cat, family responsibilities..oh, and she's also the queen of a magical realm in the middle of a civil war.

No biggie.

With a mentor goddess and a handsome-as-a-god trainer, the new queen learns to manage her powers, fulfill her responsibilities, and have some fun along the way.

Fantastic, funny book. A great read.

So it's Shay's 40th birthday and she's expecting a normal day. But instead she hits her head and next thing she knows she has Magical Powers. She learns that she is in fact a Queen in the realm of Erigate and has been chosen to rule she must first lead them into a battle to restore peace in Erigate. So she starts training to use her powers with Luke, and of course the sparks start to fly.
Overall pretty good book. I just wish there were more so we can learn more about the magical races.

Shay learns some pretty big news on her 40th birthday. She learns she must save and rule a magical world. Luke has been by her side a lot longer than she realizes and she just might learn to love a man again. Her daughters seem to adapt to all the changes pretty well and I'm anxious for Princess Witch to be available.

Shay is turning 40 is the last thing she expected was to wake up to powers and to news that not only is she a witch but is Queen to another realm. All she wants is to get a cup of coffee but everything slips from her in weird ways and goes flying across the room. She rushes her two daughters out the door to school so she can figure out what is happening to her. Its not long that she gets two visitors that explain what she is and what's to come. She learns that the man sent to train her is also her mate and a shifter. Then a vampire tries to force her to him with his mind tricks. She deals with all of this while training and preparing for an attack once people learn about her. Will Shay survive all the changes in her life?


This is a great story had me laughing out loud at parts of it. The chemistry between Shay and Luke is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

First time reading Miss Dale and I was quite surprised at how much I got sucked into this book and this world.
We get a taste of what is to come within this series with the 1st installment and it shows that it's going to be a great series that I can't wait to finish.

An amazing read with lots of sassy fun and wonderful PNR elements.

I love discovering a NEW author, I love everything paranormal plus this isn't your ordinary dark and mysterious PNR. It is fun and hot....god grief this sex is smoking and your pages may burst into flames.

She is just looking for a boring day, a normal birthday...but this birthday is about to become so much more than just turning a year older.

This has a smoking hot Alpha, a steaming butthead Vampire, Goddesses, Shifters, Aliens ...it has so many supernatural characters that we love and Shay is sassy and smart. Luke will make you squirm and wiggle.

A really great debut novel and I can't wait to see what she gives us next!

I love the humor that Billie Dale installs in her stories. They are different with the storylines. Birthday Witch is fabulous. It has twists and turns throughout the story. The support characters are fantastic. I love the banter they have throughout the story. Shay is amazingly strong, but kind and loving. She has this air about her that just makes her so great. Luke is a moody, but protective alpha male. Support characters I have to say that Jace is my favorite. He has this quirky humor that just makes you laugh. This is a quick read but beautifully written. It is definitely worth reading and doesn’t disappoint.

I loved this story and I loved Shayden she’s such a funny character, it’s nearing her 40th birthday when she is told by these paranormal’s that she is a queen and a witch and she is needed to save the world when all she wants is a cup of coffee. Shayden’s life consists of being a single mum and a cat that hates her who is now able to talk to her and now being told it’s up her to save a world she didn’t even know about what else could happen?. I absolutely loved this hilarious story and all of the characters that helped Shayden along, and I can’t wait to read about what happens next. A fantastic story a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Shayden is having one hell of a 40th birthday. She hits her head, suddenly has magic powers, her cup of coffee is running away from her, and her crabby cat is talking to her. On top of that, she opens a door that reveals a shape shifter guardian and a goddess who say she's the queen of another world selected because of her power and wisdom that comes with her age. Poor Shay doesn't know what to do with this revelation, but accepts that she must train to use her new abilities and work to save Erigate while navigating her new found love life.

I was drawn to this book because it sounded fun. Shay just hit a big and dreaded milestone when her life suddenly turns upside down. Again. Still healing from her divorce, she's thrown into a magical world that she's the queen of. What in the what?! I knew I was in for a wild ride, and Billie Dale did not disappoint! I loved following Shay as she navigated her new life with sass and humor. We have a collection of sassy, rude, and downright hilarious characters.

Shay stumbles around trying to balance her love life, which is suddenly on fire, single motherhood, and life as a badass queen while stepping on toes every step of the way. She's got a sexy shape shifter who claims to be her soul mate, a vampire on a mission to seduce her, a goddess trying to teach her, people trying to assassinate her, and a cat peeing on the floor while sassing her. We get a glimpse at the characters living throughout Erigate, both good, evil, and everything in between. Plus we have her two daughters who are oblivious to their newly found royal life until they are informed as eve of the war is upon Erigate.. This energetic book is absolutely hilarious. I will definitely be recommending it to my friends because it's such a fun read and it's a perfect book to take on summer travels.

Sadly, we do not get to know many of the characters and different magical races throughout Erigate. I wish there was more world building outside of the human world. We mostly hear about Erigate through others and do not spend too much time there. The book is fast paced and extremely entertaining, but the fleshing out of the lore behind the people of Erigate is a little canoe that flies in and out dropping bits of info throughout the story. Birthday Witch packs a punch and has a lot to give, and this its only rough patch.

A birthday to remember

A really good read. Okay for those of you that don't like sex in your books, just skip those parts the rest makes a great read. The characters are vibrant and full of vim with an underlying humour that runs through their dialogue. There are a couple of proofing errors but these are minor.
Hitting 40 shouldn't have been a big deal. Heck she's been preparing for it! However when her coffee kept getting away from her and then strange people appear in her kitchen she is gobsmacked. She hasn't even had time to get dressed! Then comes the news that she is the chosen queen of a kingdom in another realm and has to put down an uprising. Training, magic, goddesses, shifters, vampires, aliens and the fae are mixed into a great read were an "ordinary" divorcee with two children has to come to terms that she has power beyond belief and a whole realm of innocents need her to protect them. Can she live up to the expectations? Will she form a special bond with anyone in the other realm? Can she really take down the traitors? How will her children cope - not only with the fact that their mother is queen but that they too have powers?

Shayden is turning 40 and starting a new journey now that she is newly divorced. What she didn't expect was to be thrown into a magical world in desperate need of her help. Finding out she has true magical powers is just the tip of the iceberg compared to everything else she is facing.

With some super hot help she is training to fight to save a land she never even knew existed. Throw in some super steamy moments between Shayden and this help and it gets extra HOT!

I really enjoyed all of the characters in this book and would love to read another story involving this group. I was actually sad to get to the end because I wanted more. There were a few places I had to go back and reread to make sure I understood what was going on but otherwise the writing was good. - Alisa

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I love Shayden for she is witty and fun character. Her being a mother and having to go on this adventure. She meets a lot of cool characters. I would like to read the other books in this series. This author did an amazing job put this together. I kind of got urban fantasy vibes and the way the gods give her abilities to save the day. I don't want to give away to much.

I liked the story. A strong middle-aged female character with a little Wiccan knowledge tossed in. The story also has a lot of pop culture related humour which was amusing. This book is steamy and has more gratuitous sexually explicit scenes in it that weren't really necessary to the story, which was distracting from the story itself. Otherwise, it is an entertaining read.
