***Author’s Note: This is a full-length standalone novel with a happily ever after ending and no cliffhanger. Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.***
F.G. Adams writes contemporary and paranormal romance about sexy alpha heroes and feisty-mouthed heroines. The wonder twins forming F.G. enjoy a healthy obsession of reading that started at a young age. Their books reflect an avid imagination that was cultivated by their grandmother who taught them the mind has no limits and to use both hands when reaching for the stars. Partners in writing, they both thrive on creating unique storylines for you, the reader to enjoy. When not writing, you can find them on a beach with their significant other enjoying the waves or riding a Harley on a country road somewhere in the USA.
This cover is pretty smokin' hot. It's a excellent representation of the hero for sure. It has good composition. Nice typography. I think the "THIS IS YOUR LIFE SERIES" would have looked better under the title, but that is just the picky OCD graphic designer in me. Overall it's a great cover job.
I enjoyed this one a lot. This author has a very readable way of writing. It was nicely paced (for the most part) and had an intriguing plot. It was pretty much insta-lust though slow burn in the sex department. No real angst. It had very likable main characters. A group of interesting secondary characters (from previous books.) I especially loved the banter between Oliver and his buddies. Some hot sex scenes (when we finally get to them.) It was an ALMOST perfect read for me. I felt it dragged a little after the big climax. Other than that this was a solid two thumbs up read for me.
This book was emotional, romantic and suspense all wrapped up.
Oliver suffered heartbreak and never recovered. Fallyn suffered just as bad on the run for many years with her teenage daughter from the devil himself.
Oliver was supposed to bring her home but he didn't expect to have feelings that were buried six years ago. At first Fallyn is very skeptical but she slowly lets Oliver in and of course her daughter Harper since they are a packaged deal.
Eventually the devil caught up to Fallyn and I must say I liked how she stood up to him. Oliver was her knight in shining armor but it was clear that she also saved Oliver.
The banter between Oliver and his friends will put a smile on your face.
Love touches us amidst chaos, in ways we never thought existed. Oliver, a war veteran is haunted by his past- an abusive father and a dead fiancee. Broken into a million pieces, Oliver immerses himself in his work- a security firm whose current assignment is to find Fallyn Blackwood and her daughter and safely return them to their family. Buy Fallyn Blackwood is being hunted, by her husband- a sadist, who only wants revenge. Over the duration of 5 years, Fallyn has mastered the art of hiding. But when Oliver finds her in a diner, all he can think of is her, and he realizes that he is falling in love with Fallyn. But the threat exists and Oliver decides to protect Fallyn, no matter what.
The affairs of the heart have been beautifully written and its a celebration, the way Fallyn and Oliver find themselves in each other. It’s all about emotions and the primal need to protect the one person we all believe deserves the world. Oliver has been written as a handsome hunk, and Fallyn is a ferocious yet sensitive woman. The plot intensifies only at the end and it has been hastily written. But well, every villain deserves a punishment, that’s how fairy tales are.
A very relaxing and sensuous plot, a great escape.
When deciding to read a book there are three things I take into consideration, the cover, the synopsis and the author. Now when this book came on my radar, the things that grabbed me was the cover and the synopsis as it would be my first time reading the author's work. At the time I made my decision I did not realise that it was a part of a series, I guess that happens when book covers are distracting. However, assurance provided by the provider of the book indicated that it was a stand-alone read. To be honest, it can be read in that manner, but, I felt like I was missing something, which probably would be revealed by reading the previous books. This belief stemmed from my inability to connect with the main characters. Seeing that the story was told from both their POVs, I was expecting to connect with them on a deep level. This, however, was not the case. Oliver Bishop is in mourning and has been this way for six years until the photograph of a woman had him believing in second chances. He is determined to rescue her, even if it meant she felt she did not need rescuing. Fallyn Blackwood, the young woman in the photo has been on the run for the past fifteen years. She escaped an abusive relationship and her main concern was protecting her daughter, who was a product of that union. Therefore, a stranger coming to her rescue is not something she will entertain in spite of their sizzling chemistry. Sounds good right? Well from the perspective of the premise, I would say yes, but that is where it ends.I could not wrap my head around several things. First, I found it strange that it took the photograph of a beautiful woman to make the Oliver cease mourning the loss of his fiancée. Second, he never knew her, yet he fell in love with her even before he met her in person. Third, I had issues with how Fallyn placed her trust in Oliver so soon after meeting him. Mind you, this was before she knew his agenda. Given her situation, I would expect her to be wary, especially as it relates to her daughter. Then what I found even more disturbing is the speed in which she fell in love. After her experience with her ex, I would have expected her to be cautious in the relationship department.Another issue I had was that details about the demons that plagued them both were not mentioned until around 70% of the story. By that time it was too late for me to empathise with them. I felt that having this information earlier would have helped me to understand their pain and suffering allowing me to connect with them. The writing style was good, and it played a role in my completing the story in spite of the noted issues. I found the dialogue between Oliver and his friend entertaining. The pacing was fine for the most part, however after the main aspect of the story was resolved it became painfully slow. I found the dialogue between Oliver and Fallyn cheesy at times. There were times when I could not help but roll my eyes at their interaction.VerdictThis story had potential. A great storyline and characters who had the potential to make an impact. The romance lacked adequate development. The instant love connection did not work in this scenario and it played a part in the characters not making an impact. However, if you want to take a chance on this book, don’t let my views sway you from doing so. Who knows you may just find a gem.
Oliver (This is our Life Series #3) FG Adams 5 stars
This is a tragic and wonderful standalone in this series. I have to go back and catch up now for sure. Each book can be read on its own so if you find yourself not interested in the back story of the characters you don't have to click the prior ones up. However I recommend doing so in order to appreciate the characters regardless of the "standalone tag."
If you are starting here you have missed Grayson in book one and Keagan in book two from what I understand. Again I will be catching up. I really LOVE this cover. Its dark and stormy just like the read. Excellent choice!
This .. yes this one ... is Oliver Bishop and Fallyn Blackwood´s story.
Oliver knows tragedy and he knows survival. Knowing how it taints you he is on a mission to find a woman and her daughter. Whether she wants to be found or not he will find her. He has to. Its what he was meant to do.
Fallyn Blackwood is on the run. Her life has not been kind. Its been brutal. She cannot speak about the things that have been in her path. Her daughter is her life. This man looking for her and wanting to save her is not what she wants. Fallyn needs to hide. She needs to be safe and she only trusts herself. The people after her that tainted her life are very powerful. No one man can save her from them. Running is the best thing.
This is an incredible read of two characters fighting to stay above water. Strength is the word I use to describe both of our lead characters. Your heart will break -- it will heal and it will find its way. Keep reading through the parts you cant bear -- its worth it!
Thank you for the ARC! I loved this book and am going back to click up the other releases. What a beautiful and fantastic story. Magnificent! Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.
Oliver is Book 3 in the This is Our Life Series by FG Adams. It was so good I automatically bought Books 1 and 2. Oliver has a job, to track down and protect Fallyn and her daughter, who have been on the run from her abusive boyfriend. When Oliver was given the picture of Fallyn, he automatically fell in love with her. When they met finally, the attraction was instant and explosive. It's Oliver's job to keep these women safe but he finds himself opening up to Fallyn. Fallyn is a tough mother and is very protective of her baby cub, Harper. Even though Oliver is a bad ass alpha cowboy with tats, he gives his heart to Fallyn. I loved this book because with this second chance romance, the love is so powerful that it heals both of them. I recommend this book to everyone. One of the best reads for me this year
It Gets There... I will start with saying I did not read the first two books to this series. That being said, if I didn't already know this was book three, it wouldn't have mattered. It serves well as a stand alone. This story was a rough start for me, I was not too fond of the prologue, I found sort of boring. That does not mean that I hated the story, however, I actually really liked it. I am really big about giving stories a chance, and I am glad I did. The layers alone, make this story great. Oliver and Fallyn are great characters and FG Adams delivers an excellent tale. I will definitely suggest this book to others. It's a good read, for sure.
My favourite to date of the This Is Our Life Series!!
This is Oliver and Fallyn's story!!!
Oliver is a very well written emotional read! You could honestly feel each and every characters emotions!!
Oliver Reed Bishop survived a tragic loss six years prior. Now his mission is to find a missing woman and her daughter.
Fallyn Blackwell has been on the run with her daughter for many years. The things that Fallyn went through in the past is horrific!!
Finally after what seems like forever Oliver tracks Fallyn down. One problem...Fallyn doesn't want to be rescued!!
As the story unwinds you can literally feel the pain the couple has endured. Their pasts are holding them back!! As their walls start to crumble you can feel the love and passion between them!!
DO NOT just expect a love story while reading Oliver!! This story has many twists and turns!! F. G. Adams keeps us on the edge of our seats until the very last page!!
Oliver kept me on edge through the the entire book. It is the third book in the series, but is able to be read as a standalone. I look forward to going back and reading the other two. I followed along without any problems. Fallon is on the run and doing her best to hide from her tragic past. She will do whatever it takes to keep her daughter safe from those who are after her. Oliver, haunted by his demons, has set decided to save Fallyn. Will he be able to keep her safe? Will she let him past the walls she has built? Oliver is no simple love story. It is full of twists and turns that kept me engrossed through the the entire book. It had my emotions all over the place. I definitely recommend this book!
Oliver by F.G. Adams is the third installment in the This is Our Life Series. Each book can be read as stand alone but for better understanding I recommend to read in order. Grayson is book one, Keagan is book two. This is Oliver Bishop and Fallyn Blackwood´s story. Oliver Reed Bishop survived a tragic loss years ago. Now he is on the mission to find a woman and her daughter. The woman, Fallyn Blackwood, has endured unspeakable things and is on the run for many years. Oliver tracks her down and wants to rescue her. But Fallyn is too long in hiding and doesn´t want to be saved by him. And then there are her enemies, dangerous powerful enemies. Oliver is a emotional read. I laughed, I cried and I suffered with the characters. Oliver is well written novel, I could feel the characters emotions in the words. Thank you F.G. Adams, 4,5 Stars.
This book is the 3rd in a series and while it does not say whether it is a standalone, I think you absolutely need to read the other books in this series or at least the second book.
The main issue I had is that I almost felt lost as to who Fallyn was. In the beginning I actually thought she was Taylor. All we know is Oliver is "hunting" Fallyn who has been missing for years. But what's missing from this book is who Fallyn is to him and why he's chasing her. Eventually it all comes out but this is literally more than half way through the book.
The other issue is the chapters often repeat themselves. So you read one chapter from Oliver's POV but then the first half of the next chapter is about what happened in the previous chapter but from Fallyn's POV. This is the case several times throughout the book. It's annoying and really can just be skimmed over.
The constant inner dialogue was a huge drawback. It got boring and repetitive at times.
Oliver (This is Our Life Book 3) by FG Adams is the third book in the This is Our Life series. This book can be read as a stand alone, the previous two stories will have information to help you read this more smoothly but you certain will have no problem reading this one first. This story is about fate bring to people together and two souls colliding. This story is full of action, suspense, and of course you can't leave out the romance. This story is a roller coaster of emotions that will pull you into a world like no other. These authors have created characters that you will be able to connect to and really make this story flow. Find out what happens when two souls are destined to find each other and what happens after that.
Fallyn Blackwood has been running from a nightmare for the past fourteen years. She has gotten good at hiding as she has to be as she is being stalked by an evil man. What will happen when a hot, sexy, tattooed man walks into the diner? There seems to be an instant connection. Why is he there? Will she fight his protection? She is scared and determined not to be saved. She certainly is determined to fight her desire for him.
Oliver Bishop is no stranger to loss and it has been six years and it still overshadows his life. He is determined to move forward but he is haunted by a picture of a young woman. He is on a mission to find her and make sure he brings her home safely to her family. What happens when he finds her? Will he convince her to trust him? He has come to far to stop now, he found her and he is not about to let go. He is so close to finding peace within himself, he just can't give up now. Will he be able to protect her or will this mad stalker get to her first?
Fallyn and Oliver's relationship is one of a fight at first. The attraction between these two is hot and heavy but determination against wills could be the factor in them being together or not. Trust and safety is a big issue for her. Will she learn that she can trust him and that he will keep her safe? Together they make the flow and keep you wanting to see what happens next. Fallyn is a strong character as she has been through so much but yet still seems to hold it together. He is the alpha male that has a little rough side to him but yet she is able to melt him. They both have things in their past that has caused some emotional damage but the question remains will they be able to heal each other? Their chemistry between these two heat up the pages. Find out if they are destined to be together or if fate will defy them.
I think this is my favorite so far of the FG Adams books I have read. They never let me down with action, suspense and of course hot sexiness. F.G writes about sexy alpha heroes and feisty mouthed heroines. The wonder twins have been reading since they have been children. Their grandmother taught them that the mind has no limits and to use both hands when reaching for the stars. When they are not writing together you can find with their significant others on the beach or riding their Harley on a country road. Once again, these authors have created a fast paced page turner that will keep you turning until you are done. You will need to see what happens, you will want to see what happens. This story will pull you in and not wanting to put this story down. I totally lost track of time with this story. I highly recommend this story as you will not want to miss it!
Oliver by F G Adams a surprising four star read. This is the Third book in the This is our life series, we see Greyson title character in the first book and Keagan the title character in the second book pop up as characters in this book as all the books intertwine their story and characters at different points in all of their lives. Their stories develop and grow and in this book, we focus on Oliver Reed Bishop and Fallyn Blackwood and their story of hardship, hurt and the fight that some people face in their lives to get to their happy ever after. Fallyn Blackwood has been running for fourteen years, her Grandma Matilda is the only one who knows the full story and helps Fallyn keep her daughter Harper Lee safe and hidden. One man and his family have haunted her dreams after one horrifying night, she swears to keep her daughter safe and has spent her life dedicated to doing just that. Meaning that she hasn’t had much of a life, Fallyn and Harper haven’t been able to make connections, and when they finally arrive in a new tiny town and are sat in a diner having breakfast Harper makes a date with a friend to go to the fair that night, her mum gets a shock when a strange man walks into her life. This big brute of a man turns her head and will change her life in a manner she never realised was possible. Oliver has been searching for years for his ghost vixen, all he has to go on is an old photo of a young woman. He is running from his own past and history. When he finally realises that he has found her and walks into a dinner in a small town he feels something he never realises and he becomes a papa bear, determined to keep his woman safe, as that’s what she is, his woman, he just needs to make her realise this. I loved this series so much. I can’t wait for the next book Lukas, this series just keeps getting better and better. F G Adams writes great strong and passionate men.
Oliver is book three in the This is Our Life series by F.G. Adams. We are introduced to Fallyn, her daughter Harper, as well as Oliver.
Soulmates destined to collide.
Fallyn and Harper have been on the run from a crazy stalker for the past fourteen years. Moving from place to place to evade capture. Enter Oliver — he's on a mission to track Fallyn and Harper down before this madman can get them.
Sometimes bad things happen in our lives in order to put us directly on the path to some of the greatest things that will ever happen to us.
I was instantly drawn to the connection between Oliver and Fallyn. I loved how he was protective of her and she was more than just a mission to him. How he cared for Harper touched a special place in my heart as well. Oliver slowly showed Fallyn that there was more to life than living on the run and looking over her shoulder ever step of the way.
The magical places he touched brought me back to life and resurrected my dying soul.
I also loved the easy comradre between Oliver and his teammates. While I haven't read the previous two books, I didn't feel it took away from this story. I was able to follow along and fall in love with these characters all the same. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a nice romance with a healthy dose of suspense thrown in. You won't be let down.
Some fear the fire, some embrace it... bound in love, the chaos within us balanced.

Oliver (This is our life, Book 3) is written by F.G. Adams. It's the third book in the series. The main characters are Oliver Bishop and Fallyn Blackwood. ** ARC PROVIDED BY THE AUTHOR FOR AN HONEST REVIEW **
Mystery and suspense is something I love and when I opened Oliver by F.G. Adams I found just that. This isn’t no simple boy meets girl and they fall in love story……. No, this one has more twists and turns than a piece of licorice.
Fallyn is a girl on the run, escaping a horrific past and men that mean her and her daughter nothing but harm. Hiding is what she needs to do, but a stubborn man by the name of Oliver prevents her from doing that.
Oliver is a man with his own demons, one with past just as tormenting and tragic. When he sets his sights on saving Fallyn, regardless of whether she wants to be or not. Fallyn just wants to stay those few steps in front of the mafia chasing her, and her daughter. The last thing she wants is to get involved with a man who is trying to heal from the pains of his past.
This is a gripping story that will have you hovering over the edge of your chair as you feel every emotion flowing through these characters. A little word of advice when delving into this book, - leave your assumptions at the door and walk into through it with open eyes. You will not be disappointed and it will heighten your experience.
I have reviewed this on behalf the Book Addict Blog. Soulmates destined to collide” is the perfect way to describe this beautiful second chance romance. Oliver has been tracking a woman who has been on the run from a nightmare for 14 years. Fallyn Blackwood and her daughter have been running using false identities to get by. Oliver has had nothing in his life for 6 years since the death of his one love. When he is handed picture of Fallyn and asked to find and protect by her sister. He slowly comes back to life as he follows her from town to town. Finally they meet and Fallyn and Oliver really fall for each, Fallyn also a mother to fourteen year old has never had a loving relationship with a man. It was a beautiful to see Oliver earning her trust. This is the third in a series, but can be read as a standalone with its own HEA. Fallyn was a very strong woman with what she had survived, and managed bring up her daughter on her own from a young age. Oliver was really smitten it was a great sexy romance with suspense and I really enjoyed it. A romance with that extra dimension. This definitely ticked all my boxes, and can’t wait for the next book. Oliver has been tracking a woman who has been on the run from a nightmare for 14 years. F.G. Adams spins an amazing tale of heartbreak, love, and healing. Fallyn is an amazingly brave woman that is impossible not to fall in love with. The trials she has experienced in her life are more than what most people will ever have to go through. Yet this woman still stays strong and protects the one thing that's important to her, her daughter. Oliver has also had a rough patch in his life that he still can't heal from. However, with his mission to locate Fallyn and her daughter, Harper his life finally has meaning. Oliver aka Ollie is a great guy whose actions and past captures your heart from the beginning. This book had me flipping through the pages so fast I was finished reading it within a day. My mind kept coming back to whether these two shattered souls would be able to heal each other or if they were too broken from the past to heal. I loved this book and the series is a definite must read!
Intense and thrilling, Oliver is an exhilarating read. There are twists, turns, and secrets around every corner. I had to force myself to put it down to deal with life. Oliver and Fallyn have riveting story that yaned me in from the very beginning.
Oliver and Fallyn are such an interesting dynamic. I loved Fallyn's incredible strength and ability to withstand. Oliver's depth and fervent need to protect endeared him to me as we got to know him.
I would highly recommend Oliver to the reader looking for an intense, suspenseful read. While part of a series, the previous books do not need to be read to fully enjoy this story.

What a gem this book was it totally surprised me. Oliver is a tortured man after he suffered a huge loss his whole outlook changed and he threw himself into his work and one case in particular. He's been looking for Fallyn for years but she's good at hiding and she has good reason to hide. When he finds her they have an instant connection but her past is horrific and she's scared. Oliver was a really interesting character, the way he dealt with Fallyn was beautiful he seems to know exactly what she needed and was very supportive. Fallyn was such a strong woman she has been through so much but never lost her fight. This was a really good interesting and complex story that kept me engaged the whole way through.
Roman Cabricci has been searching for Fallyn and his heir for sixteen years. She is always a few steps ahead of him and his mafia family. Her only concern is making sure her daughter is safe. Harper is a spunky sixteen year old. She's intelligent and responsible for someone who has never settled down in a city for more than a few months at a time. A cute humour of a teen. Haunted by his past, Oliver tries to move forward. This well written story will keep you on the edge of your seat. There is an in depth of the characters. Twist and turns. Survival. Loved this book! I'm volunteering an honest review for an advance reader's copy.

Anyone who likes this series will enjoy this book, But unfortunately this just wasn't for me. I really should have read the other two books in the series but I just didn't have time. I thought from reading the blurb that it wouldn't matter. It matter. Another that grabbed me about this book was the cover! Oh this is one hot cover!
A few things i enjoyed about this book was Fallyn's incredible strength I was rooting for her throughout. Oliver's need to protect was also a feel good for me. Both characters where enjoyable and the story was alright. If your into this series I'm sure you'll love it!
This was my first F.G. Adams and I loved it. I love the way the story is written, in particular the way chapters begin - just love the style. Having said that, this can obviously be read as a standalone.
This is Oliver and Fallyn's story. The connection between these two is instantaneous and not just sexually, they truly connect on an emotional level and that surprises both of them. Oliver won me over with each "Sugar" that came out of his mouth. Fallyn has been on the run for years and it is Oliver's job to bring her home to her family. It has been the one thing keeping him sane for years. It won't be easy, there is a very real threat to those Fallyn loves should she return home. Will Oliver be able to convince her that he and his team can help. Will both these damaged people be able to move on from their pasts....guess you should read it to find out.
Oliver is the third book in the This is our life series. Although this is the first book in this series that i have read i loved it. The main characters Oliver and Fallyn are so real that you feel sorrow, happy, scared, hopeful and love from them as they go through their own journey as individuals and as a couple. You really understand that everything happen for a reason and that fate will show you the way. Loved the twists, turns and surprises this book gives you as you never know where the next page will bring you and it never where you think it will be. I will be going back and reading the first two books in this series as soon as possible. This was a truly wonderful surprising book.
Oliver is the 3rd book in the This is our life series. and my favourite so far, there was something about Oliver and Fallons story that pulled at me, and I found. that I was cheering for them, from the very beginning. We can't help who we are attracted to but when that attraction turns out to be a monster of a man what are you to do! Fallon chooses to run and keeps running until Oliver, whom as baggage of his own, and is sent to find her by the company he works for, when he finds her the attraction is almost instant, can he convince her to let him help her and find the way out of the terrible situation she's in,and in doing so, do they find the right balance to have their own happy ending.
A really great read and well written book by the author's, and cannot wait for the next one.
This book is definitely part of a series and is not really meant as a standalone, I had major trouble differentiating between Taylor and Fallyn and how they each related to Oliver. Taylor. Oliver has been searching for Fallyn who disppeared years ago. Both Oliver and Fallyn have heavy and dark pasts and have a lot of baggage to overcome... But they do it together. This was an enjoyable read and I liked the chemistry between the main characters!
OMG OLIVER!!!! OLIVER OLIVER! !!! What a wonderful and fascinating story. The love the loss... the chaos...holy smokes at the edge of your seat to see what comes next...the courage Fallen Has to endure an prevail.. my oh my... all to be found again and to find the true love of FOREVER... Totally freaking amazing FG Adams... you girls nailed it Yeapper yes Haw Cowboy N Vixen lil Cub
First time reading this author but I loved the story line! Would have liked to go back to the beginning of the series to see everyone else get their HEA. Loved the setting and the strong Heroine. Perfect amount of suspense and romance.
Easy to recommend this one to others. Great read!

I loved the characters. Fallyn is such a tough, strong female lead. I loved that she can handle herself and situations like she does Oliver is a strong minded badass but is also a great guy you cant help but fall for him. This book is full of action, love and sweetness. I didn't get emotionally involved with this book and that was the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. I have to add how much I love this cover for the book. It was easy for me to picture the cover model Johnny James as Oliver.
