This was definitely my least favorite of the 3 books in this series. I didn't particularly care for, or about, Thorne and I didn't really buy into Riley's almost clairvoyant ability to know Thorne's desires without actually talking to him. Yes; Riley apparently talked with Danny & Hood beforehand, but Danny and Thorne hadn't talked for years before the last book...
Master Tyler has decided to abduct Thorn and bring him to his private dungeon for a weekend full of excitement, showing him what he have been missing. Trust is something Thorn doesn't do easily after being betrayed by his previous dom. But the scenes with Master Tyler are proving to be a great tool in the recovery process.
The beginning of the book was a little disturbing considering the importance of consent in BDSM scenes, but after a while and with consent given, I guess things were okay. The story is really nice, although there is not much time getting to know the characters. What I liked about it was Thorn's defiant attitude. I really enjoy a sub with that feature. Master Tyler was a nice character too; we get to know a little more of his point of view but I think I liked Thorn better. There isn't much of a romance here; they only know each other from a couple of days, so I wasn't really expecting a fairytale love story here, but I would expect a little more connection between them.
This is the third book in the series and it certainly is the one with the higher heat level. I had a little bit of an issue with multiple partners in a scene and other practices that I'm not comfortable with and that might have affected my overall rating of the book.
In general I think it was an interesting read, and a great choice for readers who liked BDSM.
