Keos Nazario had one task: retrieve stolen technology or compromise the empire. But crashing into a luscious female when seconds away from a successful mission wasn’t part of his equation. Neither was forcing her and a thieving male back to Insedivertus for an audience with the emperor. Could she ever forgive him, or would he always be the one that stole her body but lost her heart?
Everly Burke had no clue that coming home early would land her in a hot mess. Instead of the soak in a tub she craved, she got a trip through a surreal world fraught with danger and a firm understanding that life, as she knew it, was over. Throw in a personal battle with a mouthwatering alien, past demons simmering beneath the surface, and a heart unwilling to defrost, and the bomb was sure to explode.

ndependent review for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.
Dear Ms Prater,
Could you PULEEEEZE tell me where I might find me one of these fine gentlemen?? I mean, these guys love hard, and they love fast, and they love totally. I NEEEEEEEEEEEED more of these guys in my life right now, and if I can't find a real life Insedi, then reading about them will have to do.
Much love, lil ole me.
Oh how I missed my Insedi boys. I read three back to back, and this one was the best of three.
Keos has but one job, to keep Insedi technology from getting out into the general population on Earth. Somehow, a box got stolen, and now Keos has to tell the Emperor, and drag the thief and his sister back to Insedi. And Everly just happens to be Keos' mate. Who packs a punch for such a human female! They, all three, have to work together to get out of the game Keos puts them in for travel.
I got a bit confused as to how all three of them ended up in the game, but thats a minor detail, and it didn't put me off while reading, I just let it slide.
These books get hotter and sexier as they go along but you should know they are NOT stand alones. You really MUST read the other books before this one. The overall story arc continues to develop with twists and turns all over the place!
I love these books, I really do. I love that some of the guys, those new to Earth speak proper and correct, with whole words and sentences, and then when they get down and dirty with their lady (or indeed, Kallon and his man) their language reverts to a puddle of goo. I said that in my review for the very first book, and it STILL makes me chuckle, ten books on!!
So, all in all, a great addition to the series, and I can't see an end any time soon, especially after that ending! Cliff hanger people! This book is a bloody cliff hanger!
I’ve followed Fueled by Lust since the Drusus the first book, I find myself eagerly awaiting the release of the next book. The Science Fiction theme Celeste mixes with erotica just works well and has worked well since the first book. It is one of my favorite series.
Can you even imagine being in a loop in any part of your life? Keos, Everly and Jacob find out first hand what it feels like. Circumstances and a small bit of lack of communication has all three in a virtual game, where to them is as close to being real as it can get.
Emotions are flying all over the place, mistrust, fear, jealousy and a lot of stubbornness. You will see situations of acceptance, shaking up of attitude and a change of circumstance. Not only with Keos and Everly but the secondary characters gets a good dose of fate playing in their lives as well. Happy news, guantlet thrown down added with a detailed story intertwined with character personality, and some hot scenes.
I loved the story as well as the characters, I volunteered to read and review this book and recommend it to any sci fi/erotic fan. Enjoy
Whooee! It appears that Ms. Prater has done it again! Keos is the tenth book in the Fueled by Lust series, and really, this series is misnamed! It is LOVE that rules these guys, not lust, and I love each and every one of them for that! (Sorry guys, Cato is still my favourite though)
In this edition, Keos is trying to make his way to the vortex, so he can report in to Lucien and explain how he allowed some items to be stolen. Oh, and bring along the thief and his sister too. Now you might think that this is easy enough for an Insedi warrior against two puny humans. However, Everly and her brother Jason are not prepared to go down without a fight. Keos quickly finds himself in a situation that he was not expecting. This does give him time to learn more about Everly and her brother, their past, and his thoughts on their future. Of course, to have any future, they need to get out of the damn game!
I'm not a big gamer, in fact, I'm not really a gamer at all unless you count FB games. So when this started I did wonder if I would enjoy this book as much as the others. I needn't have worried as the descriptions used were vivid enough to clarify each situation without having to have knowledge of how a game works. Not only were the descriptions excellent, but also the emotions were clear. There was no playing of games with Everly and Keos. I figure their surroundings were games-enough. Even though Everly had her reasons, heartbreaking reasons, for feeling the way she did, she was still courteous to Keos. She didn't turn into uber-b*tch just because he wanted something that she didn't. I really appreciated that!
As with all Celeste Prater's books, this was very well written, with no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading flow. This is the tenth book in the series, and I would recommend that you read them in order as the overall story arc also comes into play with this story. A fantastic series, guaranteed to satisfy, and definitely recommended by me. My answer to the question in the synopsis is well known to Ms. Prater, but in case it needs spelling out - YES PLEASE!!!!
* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and my comments here are my honest opinion. *
