Give me a gritty story, pushing through obstacles, followed by a chance at true love and I’m a happy woman. I fought for love, long and hard, and found it. Along the way, I had a lot of fun, figuring if something exists to be explored, I may as well explore it. How else can you figure out what you like?

My books have won awards like Romance Reviews Reader’s Choice New Adult Erotic (Blurred Lines) and have landed on the NY Times and USA Today Bestseller’s list (Sugar Baby, now titled Sugar Love).

If I’m not writing, you can find me under the water, scuba diving, or on land, hiking, saving lives as an EMT, or exploring my breathtaking surroundings in the Pacific Northwest, alongside my sexy, firefighting guy.

I feel like the author threw a couple of ideas together then didn’t know how they would all fit together then typed, “The End” calling it a day and leaving us just as confused as she was

I wanted to give this book a good review, but I found Liam weak. For that matter, Savannah wasn't any better. She ended up being the fall guy for botch up assignments throughout the book. I don't want to bad mouth the book too much. Others have given it great reviews. It's probably just me, but one thing that got the ewww factor going for me was that Liam was basically strutting his manhood in front of his Mom. Yes, supposedly his Mom didn't know it was him, but he certainly knew she was in the audience.

The intelligence team known as Security League Alliance Enterprises (“SLAE”) was not happy with Savannah Summers. She was sent undercover to Iraq to infiltrate, find the target, eliminate the target, and get out of there. To locate the target, her job was to pose as a journalist and seduce an Iraqi government official for information. But a rogue member of her team, Agent Lambert, revealed her identity, told SLAE she was at fault, and disappeared. Since Lambert was SLAE Headquarter’s “Golden Boy”, they didn’t believe he would do this and instead heaped the blame for the failure on Savannah. Exhausted and feeling like a failure, Savannah sat in a bathroom stall and cried.

When her phone rang, Savannah took the call from SLAE offering her a last chance to prove herself. Marcus Weathersby, a longtime Diamond Club member, owed SLAE a favor. She agreed to go undercover by infiltrating into the Diamond Club as Weathersby’s daughter, Naeva. What she hadn’t known was that Naeva was the promised bride of billionaire Liam Chartier, an elite member of the Diamond Club – and he disliked her intensely. This was going to add some complications! With the pressure to succeed this time, would Savannah be able to do her part in bringing down the biggest diamond heist in the world? Would she and Adam be able to escape this horrible place?

I listened to this exhilarating book on Audible. I want to comment that the narrator, Lynn Norris, did a fantastic job with the reading. She absolutely brought the characters alive, letting the listener know exactly how each felt, and making it easy to recognize each character’s voice. A good narrator can bring a book to life, and that is exactly what this one did. Of course the quality of the reading material comes from the author, and this one is top-notch! Although I totally despise BDSM, I was able to skip those parts without losing the thread or suspense of the story line. Whether you choose the eBook or the audiobook, this is an exciting, intriguing read you will not want to miss! Highly recommended!

I loved this book, I can't quite pin down why, but I did. I really couldn't put it down and was gripped by this from start to end. It was a 'Heinz 57 varieties' book, with an interesting blend of romance, suspense, mystery and erotica. If I tried to describe it, or when I think about it, I feel almost like I shouldn't have enjoyed the story. On paper it wasn't enough of one genre, it only had Savannah's POV, there wasn't really a huge romance between her and Liam, the plot was a little to fantasy la-la land but, despite all that and quite possibly exactly because of it, I absolutely loved the book.

The writing was clever, one or two parts of it I guessed in advance but this just added to the anticipation of the 'reveal'. The plot rattled along at a good pace and overall it was that feeling of 'what's going to happen next' and knowing Savannah was in danger the whole time that made this book such a good read. I really liked Savannah, she seemed a little naive at times, but almost more from a lack of information than stupidity. She was tough but not bitchy and so deserving of a HEA.

There isn't all that much sex in the book and I didn't miss it. There are a few scenes in the Diamond Club that are incredibly well and very tastefully portrayed, and one heated scene towards the end. There is plenty of other action, lots of peril and threat, a job to do and a mystery to solve. A chunk of which doesn't go the way you would expect.

I found the book easy to read, loved the pace, found the characters engaging (even though some were not likeable) and was almost sad to get to the end of the book.

There are some books that have a story so good, you just do not want it to end! This is one of those kinds of books. Savannah has to prove herself to keep her job at SLAE, and this undercover job should do it. She infiltrates the Diamond Club posing as the daughter of Marcus Weatherby. But little did she know what she was getting herself into. Promised to marry Liam Chartier, Savannah now has time limit set on gathering her intelligence. But will she be able to separate her growing feeling for Liam from her mission? Savannah is an incredible character. She is smart, beautiful and trained for such a job. But what I love about her is that she really doesn't know herself. In the Diamond Club, she gets to see, feel and learn what she likes both in love and work. Liam is one that you feel for immediately. Born into the club, you know there are issues he has to deal with, and you feel for his inability to break out. The slow burn these two have is hot, the building suspense palpable and it makes the story fly by! I fell in love with this and will check out the rest of the series!

This is my first narration by Lynn Norris, and I loved it! She is intuitive and nails each character. Her voices are impeccably matched to each person and her flow easy to listen to. She builds the romance and suspense up and made the story a pleasure to hear.

What an Outstanding read I loved this story which grabs you from the first page not letting you go until the last. I didn’t want it to end. The author fills these pages with surprise after surprise what a delightful story. What you will find between these pages is courage, heartbreak, longing, mystery and so much more. These two characters are so interesting from their past to their present.

Savannah’s cover is blow when top secretes are leaked out, she got blamed but didn’t do it. With things up in the air they give her a new handler Adam as they investigate the Diamond Club where there are erotic sex scenes with lots of BDSM. Savannah is now known as Naeva and becomes the fiancée to Liam who has a story of his own to tell.

This was a very interesting read that was well written as the characters take on a life of their own on this roller coaster of a ride

Fire was the name of the painite gem stone that represented the Weathersby family inside a special safe at the Diamond Club. Billionaire Liam Chartier was in charge of this safe as he was reared to be the safe cracking specialist for the infamous Diamond Club. Private security company SLEA has sent their agents Savannah Summers, undercover as the Weatherby daughter, Naeve, who has lived in France since she was 8 years old, and her best friend Adam as her bodyguard to get info on a hiest rumoured to be happening soon. What they did not know is that Naeve was engaged to Liam years ago by agreement between their parents. What a time this story describes as orphan Savannah now has a 'Father' and a 'Mother'-in-law to be and many confusing emotions as she cozies up to the moody Liam. Lots of action, danger, and mystery! A real thriller and an excellent read!

This book is a roller coaster. There is a little bit of everything in this book, drama, suspense, betrayal, lies, love, friendship. Savannah is posing as Naeva Wethersby to get the inside scoop on The Diamond Club. We have BDSM stuff (not heavy at all), jewel heists, etc and each and every page will keep you turning to the next as you have NO idea what is in store for you as a reader next. Savannah and Liam I found to be a lot of fun together and they had their ups and downs and you never knew what was going to happen with them, especially since she was lying to him about who she was from the beginning.

This is my first book by Calinda B but it won't be my last. I read an advanced reader copy of this book.

This isn't my first book by Calinda and there's a reason for that, her writing is incredibly engaging and draws you in from the very first page and this book is no different. This book had so many facets to it my favorite being the suspense and love of it.

Savannah is a spy and is literally on her last leg after a mission gone bad. She has one final chance to prove her worth, get info on the Diamond club by any means necessary which should be easy but that changes the second she meets her fiancé Liam, who has no idea who she really is. And then the fun begins!!

A prequel to what I believe will be an amazing series about spies, espionage, jewels, and passion!

Savannah is attempting to retire through this one last gig, but what she finds may put off her plans for awhile. Calinda B is an excellent author! She is able to give life to her characters and the situations they are in always feel real. I never doubt for a moment a character's actions as I know things will turn out the way they are supposed to in the end and it's all for the best.

If you like a thriller mixed with romance than look no further than this amazing series!

I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily reviewing.

Savannah is an Intelligence Agent and she is being blamed for the debacle that their last assignment turned out to be and will do whatever is necessary to ensure that her next mission is a success.

She is posing as Naeva who is the daughter of one of the members however complications arise as she is promised to Liam, the son of the owner to unite their families. Will she be able to fight her attraction to Liam so that she can investigate the potential heist and what happens if Liam finds out her true identity?

This story has a great combination of twists, suspense and chemistry that make this an enjoyable read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Fire was an intriguing book about Savannah who was trying to go undercover to get the scoop on The Diamond Club. There were some good surprising twists in the story line, and although there was some BDSM, it was very light and not the focus of the story or the relationship between Savannah and Liam. Good intrigue and plot turns, and the attraction between Savannah and Liam was hot. I was sucked right into this book, and it was a good read. I wanted to get Liam's POV to see what was really going through his mind, but I enjoyed this one. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

I voluntarily received an Advanced readers copy of this book. While quite entertaining I found it to be a bit on the long side as I didn´t find it quite 100% enjoyable. It is a good book, but the small knick knack is somehow missing. This book is the second I read in the Daiamond book club series and am looking forward to reading the next book. Each are so totally different.
I can recommend that you read this one for yoursel and be the judge for yourself, that is always the best way to judge a book, by reading it.

I literally couldn't put this book down!

Hooked from the first chapter, and it was more than worth the two hours of sleep I got. I received an advanced readers copy for review, but I loved it so much that I purchased it for my own collection!
Join agent Savannah Summers as she goes undercover as the daughter to one of the Diamond Club's members, in order to redeem herself and bring a heist ring down.
This book will keep you on the edge of your seat with suspense and plenty of action (both kinds), while hating yourself for being torn between male characters, lol.

I really loved everything about this read / listen. The narrator was great bringing the characters to life, The story was great with enough twists and turns, emotions, romance and steam to satisfy any romance reader. I was so conflicted cheering for the "bad guy" while wishing for my HEA.

Liam is stuck in a world where anything goes so long as you play by the rules and be who you are expected to be. Savannah has never really known love and is scared to be herself. Can Liam and Savannah find they can both be the truest versions of themselves together? Read / listen to find out...

Savannah and her partner Adam work for a intelligence firm. Her last assignment didn't end well. Now she is going undercover at the Diamond club. She is posing as a members daughter, her job to stop a jewelry hiest. For this assignment she will be engaged to Liam. That is a problem...because he doesnt know who she really is. How does this play out you ask? No spoilers here. You have to purchase the book and find out. Well worth your time.

Story: I loved how unique this story line was. I was intriguing, suspenseful, sexy, and kept me riveted. The character development was great- I went through a range of emotions. It was great.

Narration: I thought the narration was awesome. The narrator was new to me. I would gladly purchase more of their works. Production was very good- clear reading and the perfect amount of feeling.

I would definitely recommend this book and would love to check out more of the series.

Wow...just wow. I loved this book! Savannah and her partner long time friend Adam work for a prestigious PI firm. After she is falsely blamed for a failed mission she is forced to go undercover at the Diamond club to redeem herself. She is posing as a members daughter to gain access and to foil a jewel robbery. Let the games begin....She is betrothed to a members son who hates her, exposed to some BDSM from masked Master as a sex show and just generally left out to dry by her firm. She is disavowed by the entire intelligence community, betrayed by all and has a major surprise when the Master is revealed. This well written roller coaster of a ride is lots of fun to read and experience. Don't let it slip through your fingers-Enjoy!!

I received a complimentary copy of this book for voluntary review consideration.

This was a really interesting read with lots of action and a good romance too. Savannah and Liam are attracted to each other but it risks her real mission. She has a tough job to do and her real feelings for him really make it so difficult for her to make the right choices. I really enjoyed their interactions due to the great chemistry.

A lot of action and excitement. The story sucks you in from the beginning. Savannah is a spy who has to make amends for a past mission that went wrong. She goes on an undercover mission to take down some jewel thieves and gets hooked on one herself. This book has it all mystery, sex clubs, twists, tragedy, love and lust. It is a pretty fast read.

What a great read. She is sent in undercover as a daughter of a prominent member. There is so much going on that it is one of those you need to read to get it all. But it is well worth it. It grabs you and keeps your attention. It is mysterious, exciting, suspenseful, emotional and so much more. I highly recommend it. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.
