Sadly, the author used crude language to describe his college days, hence the 2-star rating.

Most of the book is excellent and provides perspective on mainstreaming Deaf/HOH students.

His writing style was irritating, but he did help me understand how lonely and difficult it can be for D/HH students in mainstream education.

It was good. Very informational! I would strongly recommend this to parents of deaf children. It gives another viewpoint that many parents of deaf children don't get to look at when making decisions for their kids.
