Hideaway Hall is wide awake and it's only a matter of time before everyone who touches it realizes the power of those trapped inside.
Jennifer Hayden was born in Washington State. During her childhood and young adult years, she spent many hours lost in the adventures of a good book. She began writing her own stories at the age of 12 when she "ran out of books to read at the library." By the time she graduated from high school, she already had a job as a secretary/office manager, where she eventually met her husband, Mike. For the next several years, she wrote in her spare time, sharing her manuscripts with friends and family. At the urging of two good friends, she decided to go for broke and leave her secretarial career behind in pursuit of this magical literary journey. She now has 54 books available.
If you love mystery, romance and a little supernatural poured into the midst, you will love this book! Great characters (except the mean ones to the main character 😒😜), a very interesting town, and some mysteries and surprises along the way made this such a good book that so often was so hard to put down! I would love this author to write more mystery/supernatural books because this was great!
I love a good ghost story. But I will say, this being labeled a romance as well, I had expectations for that. The romance was a bit underwhelming and...cold. It felt a bit peripheral at best, almost like it was added as an afterthought & the sex scenes weren’t descriptive at all (if you care about that). As for the ghost story, it wasn’t scary, but it was entertaining enough. A solid 3 star read, almost rounded up because the last 1/4 got even better.
Tied for my favorite with her book Hidden Memories! Tons of surprises, good characterization, great romance too. Hayden is excellent at supernatural thriller so I hope she does more.
