After escaping the terrors of his dark cabal, Tony Harris craves redemption. With just one ritual, he could resurrect the mother he accidentally killed. All he needs is a Conduit -a being who holds endless magic. But when the Conduit turns out to be a quirky, optimistic woman named Faith, his world is turned upside-down. Now Tony must choose; bring Cybil Constance back to life or give his heart to someone who believes in him. With the cabal hot on his tail, Tony is unsure he’ll survive long enough to make the choice.
Faith Conway longs to forget her abusive ex-boyfriend but between emotional scars and an overprotective mother, she has lost all confidence in herself. Now, thrust into a strange place called the Wyrd, a devastatingly handsome mage appears to protect her. All she has to do is help him with one mysterious, magical ritual. Despite his smooth promises, Faith wonders if Tony's motives are honorable or if his devilish smile will only lead to more heartbreak.
The long awaited conclusion to the Constance Sisters storyline.

I am a sucker for a redeemed hero story, and this delivers in spades! I spent the previous three books loathing Tony, and then BAM! Redemption. The mental image of a suave, scared, powerful mage snuggling with the nicest woman in San Francisco would lighten my heart if I had one. There are great twists and turns here, and I like that the structure of the story itself is a little atypical. This is an entertaining, excellent book, and shows a lovely focus on how found family is just as important as any other.
This series gets better with each installment. The thing I love about the Wyrd Love universe is that these couples are so antagonistic toward each other. Tony and Faith are a prefect example. I loved his road to redemption. I cried a lot during this installment. This had a lot of emotions going on. Faith is the one I really relate to here. We're both Harry Potter nerds, so we were both thinking the same thing in a lot of cases. I love these characters so much. I hope we get to revisit them again in the future.
A fun, sexy, sometimes suspensful story that is, in my opinion, the best of Cynthia's series this far. She's really hit her stride in Alchemy's Hunger. The plot follows Tony, who io to this point we thought was a bad guy, and a girl he bumps into who turns out to be his saviour. Cynthia explores topics of emotional healing, repentance, and redemption with a highly satisfying happy ending. Just read it. Seriously.
Where to start. I loved this book, Anthony (Tony) Harris, so missunderstood. From the previous books you can tell he wasn't going to turn out all bad. Tony's in trouble or so Faith thinks and steps into help. Tony doesn't know what to make of Faith, she's funny and quirky and the only one whose tried to help him in a long time. Tony can't stay away from Faith and then it turns out she's the only one who can help him change his past. In this book we get to see why Tony us the way he is and how he's trying to make up for past mistakes. We also get to see from his perspective, what happened in previous books. This book is a page turner all the way. I've read each book one after the other. Can't get enough of this series.
Tony is brooding, in search of redemption, and quite possibly not a good person. Faith is quirky, running from her own demons, and quite possibly too good of a person for Tony. But Tony needs Faith, who is a conduit, to perform the ritual that will (he hopes) earn him the redemption he seeks. Faith doesn't realize she needs Tony, but he might be the person to help her heal from her own past.
Faith and Tony are from different worlds. Faith is from the mundane, human world, while Tony comes from the Wyrd, the world of magic and mythical creatures that exists alongside our own. Tony is aware of both worlds, but Faith has no idea the Wyrd exists, let alone the fact that she has any connection to it. She has a steep learning curve, and isn't inclined to be trusting, so Nick has to find some way to convince her to help him.
I love high fantasy, but I also like urban fantasy where the magical world exists with our own world, we just can't see it. Diamond blends these two worlds together and makes the reader want to take another look at the space around them to see if maybe, just maybe, there's something else there that they've never noticed before. She has a love of writing dialogue and this passion is evident in this book. Her characters are witty and their conversations are, well, conversational, as well as funny and often endearing.
I'm looking forward to reading the first 3 novels as well as the books to come after. Diamond's writing is the perfect blend of witty, snarky, engaging, and steamy.
This series just keeps getting better. I went from feeling slightly sorry for Tony to wanting him and Faith to get their HEA. This is an exciting edge of your seat redemption story filled with moments of terror balanced by a passionate romance between a quirky and strong woman and a tortured and lonely man. I eagerly looked forward to my reading, wanting to both finish and prolong the book.
