“Just one word, and I'll make you forget his name.”

enjoyable slow burn, but filled with tension, enemies to lovers but also hockey player tutors the softball player. I enjoyed this story. I did expect it to be super duper spicy considering the hero is a bit of a player player in the other books, and while they do get busy for like two/three chapters later on at first it’s pretty slow and tense. I also feel like people will take issue with the fact that Levi is getting it on with people who are not the heroine and she is in a relationship for most of the book. It didn’t really bother me, but if you’re part of the safety patrol you may not enjoy the OW/OM business in this one. All in all a good read. I never like slowburns, but I legit marathoned this until 2AM just so I could finally get to some heat and then I went to bed.

I love me some Mandi Beck! Her men are always shock factor because they are who they are and you either love them or hate…mostly love though let’s be honest!

Levi “Sexy” Sexton knows who he is! He’s smart, athletic and very talented…yup in the sheets as equally as he is out! He may come across as a cocky jerk but he’s all heart! Saffie is the new girl on campus but she lets the self assured hockey player that she’s not interested! Saffie at first seems the polar opposite of Levi! From the start Saffie makes Levi work for her attention! She doesn’t fall at his feet or giggle when he tries to charm her! She’s there to make her family proud and make her dreams come true, dreams that don’t include Levi!

I loved returning to this world! Finally getting to read this amazing story, with its hilarious pop culture references, hockey lingo lessons and some amazing side characters, had me reading it all in one sitting!

Levi "Sexy" Sexton is a the captain of the hockey team and he has a reputation. Saffron Briggs is the new girl and the pitcher for Fulton University's softball team. From the start, she hated Levi because of his cockiness. They do spend time together because he is her tutor -- which she only needed because she transferred and needed to catch up. During that time, Levi slowly wins her over, but she fights against it at every turn.

Levi seemed to be a cocky a**hole, but underneath that he had a big heart. He was also smart, considering he was Saffie's tutor. The banter between them was great and I loved that Saffie didn't just give in to him. Also, Levi's sisters and Saffie's cousin, Rae, added to the story and I loved seeing their interactions with both Levi and Saffie.

I really enjoyed this and will definitely be reading more Mandi Beck books!

Sweater Weather was a great read! Levi Sexton aka Sexy is the captain of the Hockey team at FU and can get any girl he wants. Saffie Briggs is a new in town, the new pitcher for the Softball team and also friends with his sisters. She was not a fan of Levi and his cocky attitude and all the girls throwing themselves at him. Although she fights it, Levi starts to win her over little by little once they start spending time together because he's her tutor. I loved all the banter between the two of them and also Millie, Maeve and Rae! Levi and Saffie's chemistry and the steamy scenes were off the charts! Loved them together.

3/5 🌶️

•MF hockey romance
•OM drama
•Enemies to lovers

We meet Saffron (saffie) when she transfers from another school after her father passes away. She’s at FU to play softball and needs a tutor since she transferred late in the semester. That’s when we meet Levi the captain of the hockey team.

When we first meet Levi I didn’t love his character. He is this cocky arrogant guy who’s nickname is Sexy because of how easily he gets laid. It took me a really long time to like his character. He didn’t have any depth as a character and the arrogance just rubbed me the wrong way. By 60% I liked some things about him. The way he insisted on consent and the way he protected his sisters and saffie. How he always wanted what’s best for them was really sweet to read.

The first half of the book just seemed to drag, but the second half I actually enjoyed. I just am not a huge fan of other man/woman drama and there was a lot of that in this book. The ending was my fav. That’s when we get some spice and I loved Levi’s dirty talk. Overall, the story was okay. Just some things happened in the beginning that weren’t my fav.

I couldn't put this book down! As soon as I saw it was a College Hockey Romance I knew I needed to read it. This is book three in the FU Hockey series and I will definitely be going back to read book one and two!

Levi Sexy Sexton is the captain of the FU Hockey team, he's been drafted to the pros and is just finishing up his degree. His priorities are hockey and his mama. That's it. He enjoys a good time in the bedroom but it's always no strings and no emotions.

Saffron Briggs is at a new school, her life has changed drastically in a short time and she is trying to adjust. The last thing she needs is the cocky hockey player to hit on her. And of course, that's not enough, he is her new tutor! Plus, she has a boyfriend...not interested.

The forced proximity and enemies to lovers hooked me instantly. And I'm also a sucker for a playboy who is brought to his knees by one person. At first I wasn't sure if I would like Levi with his attitude but underneath all the innuendos and jokes is a guy who can't truly let his guard down. But with Saffie it's different, she gets him but is that enough to give a relationship a shot?

Read it to find out!

Mandi Beck heats things up with SWEATER WEATHER (Fulton University Hockey #2). Fulton University first-round draft pick and hockey captain Levi “Sexy” Sexton can have any girl on campus. However, the only girl who seems to hold his interest is the one that is not falling at his feet; the new transfer to Fulton U, softball pitcher, Saffron “Briggsy” Briggs. She is on the team his dad coaches and twin sisters play on. His dad asks him to tutor her to catch her up since they are both sports medicine majors.

Mandi Beck does a nice job with this story. The characters are likable and believable. I enjoyed Levi and Saffron’s verbal sparring. The two have fun chemistry.

This is the first book that I have read by Mandi Beck. I enjoyed her writing style. I plan on reading the other books in the Fulton University Hockey series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Levi and Saffie

Saffie doesn’t like Levi and his reputation.

Levi doesn’t like relationships, but a good challenge.

But when Saffie needs a tutor and Levi is the one she is assigned to, that puts both up for their own goals.

He wants to make her give in and she needs to resist him.

He doesn’t care about her boyfriend, she claims he is not her type.

But sure is, that nothing goes like the way they planned. Levi has to work for Saffie’s attention and Saffie has to work to not fall for his charm. Needless to say both will lose their battles. And in the end a few surprises here and there make this sweet and funny story to a really good one.

Levi's a hockey god, cocky, arrogant and a player on and off the ice. He's used to women throwing themselves at him so when a new student comes to campus and doesn't give him anything but ice, he's thrown. He wants her, wants the challenge and the chase of getting her. Being assigned her tutor now gives him an edge, a way to wear her down and climb over her walls. But what does he do when he realizes he wants more than just her body, that he wants it all?

Saffron "Saffie" is so not impressed by Levi "Sexy" Sexton. Their very first meeting has her back up and her rolling her eyes at his obvious cockiness. So when he's assigned her tutor, she's even more unimpressed. But as they spend more time together she starts seeing the real Levi, and she likes him. Her boyfriend probably won't like him though...

I have to admit I did not like Levi for about 90% of this story. His reputation is well deserved and I couldn't stand the way he thought of women and the language he used to describe them. Thank God Saffie came along to bring him down a peg or two, though, and make him work for her. I love her, her dismissive attitude toward him at first, her strong backbone and the way she knew what she wanted and worked for it. She alone is the main reason I can give this 3.5 stars. Levi sort of redeemed himself by the end, but I still felt Saffie deserved better. The story itself is fun, though, and Saffie in it makes up for Levi's douchiness.

Louisa's 4 Blush Review
Oh, how I have waited impatiently for this book from Mandi Beck, and it was so worth the wait!

These Fulton University (FU) hockey boys are great and so much fun!

Levi, aka Sexy, is the team's captain and is on his way to the NHL.  He can have any girl he wants and has no problem getting them.  He's not interested in a relationship and is just having fun...BUT

In comes Saffron Briggs. She's new to Fulton University and is a pitcher on the softball team.  After he father's death, she is changing schools, and she and her mother are moving closer to family.  Her cousin Raegan is friends with Levi's sisters, who are around Levi and his friends...a lot.  Not to mention, Levi's father is the Coach of the softball team. Lucky for Saffron and Levi - Levi has to be her tutor, so not being around each other isn't an option.

By the way, Saffron has a boyfriend, but Levi doesn't care!

The push and pull between these two are off the charts, and the slow burn is worth the wait.

As always, Mandi Beck has made me blush beyond belief.  The hot and sexy between these two is, omg - HOT!

Watching these two go from enemies to lovers as they both grow up and mature a bit was so much fun.

Saffron Briggs is confusing, normally all he has to do is utter a few charming words, flash a smile, and the girl is falling at his feet... but Saffron turns her nose up at him and walks away. She is beautiful but frustrating at the same time. He wants all her smiles, laughs, and kisses, but she isn't willing to give him the time of day. That is until his dad asks him to tutor her, it's a little blessing in disguise, now she has no choice but to talk to him... and maybe just maybe he can convince her to give him a chance.

The pages of Sweater Weather hold a story of two people have found themselves in a tension-filled predicament... Levi wants her, and she just wants him to leave her alone! Saffron is new to Fulton University and it's her skills on the softball field that have landed her there, but in order to keep herself on that field doing what she loves she needs to get her grades up... which means being tutored. Which doesn't seem like all of a bad thing, that is until she meets her tutor. The last person she wants to spend time with is Levi Sexton, he is the definition of a playboy and she is determined to not be the next notch on his bedpost... but he just won't take a hint. She meets his flirty smiles with glares or sharp tongue barbs, but he just takes them in stride and keeps on trying... the guy is impossible to ignore! Which is exactly what he wants!

This first time read did not disappoint it's page came brimming with feels, laughs, steam and enough emotion to leave you smothered in feels! These two were thoroughly entertaining, I loved watching them battle at every turn and find their way to a happily ever after... it was such a captivating fall! Highly recommend this one for sports romance lovers, it's pages are destined to leave you thoroughly satisfied!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

This was my first book by Mandi. Naturally, this is the third in the series and reading books out of order is very on brand for me. I had so much fun reading this! I was smiling and laughing like a fool throughout the whole book. It is a slow burn romance. When I say slow burn, I mean stuck in a traffic jam on your way back from vacation on a Sunday afternoon slow. There were small moments, * ᶜᵒᵘᵍʰ* ᵗʰᵉ ᵗʳᵉᵃᵗᵐᵉⁿᵗ ʳᵒᵒᵐ* ᶜᵒᵘᵍʰ* and a lot of sexual tension that had me fidgeting in my seat. The winks? Blowing kisses? * ˢʷᵒᵒⁿ*
Levi is the epitome of a fuckboy. But as Carrie said “𝙄’𝙙 𝙡𝙚𝙩 𝙝𝙞𝙢 𝙛𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙗𝙤𝙮 𝙢𝙚 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜.” He is smug, cheeky, a little crass and so funny. The dynamic with his family was adorable. I don’t like his nickname and that it’s used so much. Saffie, not a fan of her name, but a 𝘽𝙄𝙂 fan of her. She is spunky, strong and wow she has a sharp tongue. The moment they met, I knew this was going to be entertaining. Levi loved to rile Briggsy, his nickname for her that I love, up and she fell for it 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 time. Their little quips gave me life. I need to read the other books in this series because I love these side characters!
I wish things would have happened sooner and that more happened with Landon. Her dad wasn’t brought up as much as I thought he would be, which was surprising. There wasn’t nearly as much spice as I expected, but the few times there were…don’t mind me sweating here just thinking about it. The last 25% seemed a bit rushed. I would have loved to see more of their actual relationship. It felt as though she thought maybe it was getting to be too long so she had to hurry and make it all happen. I still loved the book regardless! I can’t wait to read the others! 𝗣.𝗦. Can we make a petition to have Latto remake Big Energy and say big 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘬 energy instead?

*An advance reader copy was provided to me in exchange for an honest review.*

I’m all in for Sweater Weather by Mandi Beck, where we’re back on the campus of Fulton University. Levi “Sexy” Sexton and Saffron “Saffie” Briggs brings the heat from their first meeting at a party at Levi’s Hockey House. Levi can’t help himself but flirt with his younger twin sisters’ new friend. However, Saffie isn’t having any of it and lets him know it from the get-go, plus she has a boyfriend back home. But when the two of them are thrown together the next morning by her new softball coach, who happens to be Levi’s Dad, for him to tutor her, Saffie doesn’t see a way out of it. We can all see where this is going…

The slow burn between Levi and Saffie is unreal. The push and pull of these two characters is everything. I love how we see them start off as opposites but eventually make their way to more. Levi and Saffie gave me lots of feels.

My favorite genre has always been sports, with hockey topping the list. The opposites attract genre is always a good one, too. Not to mention that the “Oh my god, Becky” reference in the first couple of pages made me smile and brought me back to my own college days. As well as dropping in “toe pick” from one of my favorite sports movies. Now I’m just hoping that Millie Sexton’s story is next.

Levi's an asshole, what can I say? But I loved it. I'm a sucker for the whole "he's an asshole to everyone but her" trope. Is that a trope?

If you've read the previous two books, you should know by now that the University's softball team needs a new pitcher. Saffie is the new girl for the job and the new girl at school. Levi is tasked by his dad (her coach) with tutoring her to catch up since she transferred schools.

Their chemistry is fun. It's like "enemies to lovers" from her side but "I'm on my knees for you" from his side. Levi slowly chips away at Saffie's high, protective walls with his quick wit and pick-up lines, but made me also swoon in the process. She's a strong force of resistance though, especially since she currently has a long distance boyfriend. But that's never stopped Levi and he's determined to see how far he can push her.

I really enjoyed all the side characters in this book, especially Levi's mom. His sisters make an appearance as well as his good ol' hockey buddies. It was like a mini reunion from the last two books. Not to mention all the fun hockey lingo! I thought I knew enough about hockey, but I was wrong. I added a few new terms to my roster.

Sweater Weather can be read as a standalone, but for the full experience, check out the first two novellas.

I feel like I have been waiting for Sweater Weather by Mandi Beck forever and let me tell you. It. Was. Worth. The. Wait. Levi and Saffie were amazing. I loved these characters so much. Levi, or Sexy as his is known for, lives up to his nickname. He is on the hockey team and is a total charmer, arrogant, confident, and sexy. He is a legend on campus and he knows it. He is a player but does not hide it and what he can offer. Saffie just transferred to Fulton to join their softball team. She is smart, determined and sees right through Levi. She has a boyfriend and has no time for a man like Levi.

This book had so much push and pull and I loved it! Something about Saffie is drawing Levi in and he has no idea what do to about it, but he loved pushing her buttons. Saffie tried to keep him at arm’s length, but he slowly tore down her walls. These two were amazing together. I also loved how Levi protected and was there for his sister and their friends, even as they gave each other a hard time. I absolutely loved reading this book. It was a slow burning sport romance and I highly recommend it.

Happy reading!

Mandi Beck is back with sexy hockey boys from Fultom University!

Levi Sexton is basically THE hockey stud on campus and boy does he know it. This guy is cocky as they come and to top it off his nickname, on and off the ice, is "sexy". All the guys want to be him and all the girls want to do him. Except for Saffron Briggs. She wants nothing to do with him...yet.

Saffron Briggs transfers to Fulton as a hotshot pitcher for the softball team. She's amazing on the mound but she's playing catch up in the classroom. Her coach hooks her up with a tutor and honestly it could've been anyone and it would've been fine. But no. It had to be HIM. Levi Sexton thinks he's God's gift to hockey and women and sadly no one on campus disputes it. He's so damn cocky, it's a wonder he can fit through the door. She might need his help but make no mistake, she doesn't even like him!

The banter and chemistry back and forth between these two was dynamite. Not going to lie, Levi wasn't my favorite but I adored Saffie and all the rest of the characters! Fun read and can't wait to see what's coming!

"Finally I have gotten my hands on this book!!! Yes I have been waiting years for this book, and yes, it was definitely worth the wait.
Levi & Saffie's story had me hooked right from the start, and I couldn't put it down until I finished it. I adored both characters, but Levi was truly magnificent. I enjoyed reading his confidence, or possibly better described as cockiness - but honestly he had every right to be. The way he was with Briggsy was totally different to how he has treated any other girl before her, so it took him a while to get his head around the reason why he did this. It made for some great reading, then add in the push and pull between these two and it is definitely one of my top reads so far this year.
I really do hope I get to step back into this world as there is a couple that I think are screaming out to have their own story - just saying Mandi!!!

Mandi Beck and her hockey boys are back and as sexy and ridiculous as ever!

Excuse me while I have a moment for all that is Levi Sexton. He's got the skills to back up his swagger on and off the ice. The one thing he can't get a handle on...Saffron Briggs. The spicy new addition to the FU softball team who wants absolutely nothing to do with him.

Until she did. I loved the push and pull. The back and forth. The longing. The anticipation. The way the feelings they both had went beyond all they thought they could. And let me tell you the wait for these two to finally get on the same page was soooooooo worth the wait. Can you say melt your kindle hot?! Because just whew!

Gah! I couldn't read Saffie and Levi's enemies-to-friends-to-lovers romance fast enough. It was witty and playful, full of innuendo and packed just enough of an emotional punch to keep it real. I hope to see these hot hockey boys and sassy softball girls again soon!

I picked this one up because I remembered I had read the start of this book in the Unexpected Ever After anthology and was curious what would happen next. Levi was pretty douche-y, but I could see how this one had the possibility to be cute. In the novella, the story cuts off when things might be starting to happen between Levi and Saffie. She has a boyfriend and I wanted to know what would happen with Landon. It worked out the way I thought it would but have to warn there is some light cheating involved. (Light because thing don't go too far, if you get what I'm saying.) I wasn't a fan of that aspect of the story. I did love that they were both athletes and that she wasn't impressed with him the way other girls on campus were. I liked how he improved who he was because he didn't want her to be just another girl. Overall, it was a fun read with no real angst despite the tropes involved.

This book has been on my TBR since it was recommended by a couple of authors that I like. I needed a quick read while I was waiting on another book to come out and thought I’d give it a try. It’s fairly well written with only a couple of editing errors and it’s dual POV which I like. This one really didn’t do it for me though. I’ve read plenty of books with reformed players and alphaholes that I liked but this was NOT that. Levi, the H, was a disgusting prick and m@nwh0r3. Saffron, the h, wasn’t much better. If she didn’t know how to process her feelings, she acted like a toddler and had a major double stand. Throw in both emotional and physical cheating and it’s just not a story that I’m going to love for the most part. The last 15% of the book or so was decent and gave me the kind of HEA that I want with my books so I gave this two stars instead of one. This is not one that I’d read again.

Speechless , on the edge of my seat anticipating what Would happen from one second to the next and just completely blown away in the best way possible. I honestly did not think Mani Beck’s FU Hockey Series could possibly get any better but I was oh so wrong . In fact Saffron and Levi’s Journey just might be my favorite so far . Levi is the captain of the hockey team and Saffron is the new girl at school as well as the pitcher for Fulton University’s softball team . Their journey started off as a love to hate trope but then turned into so much more then either ever expected. It’s filled with angst , witty banter , humor , push and pull , heartbreaking and heartfelt moments, unexpected surprises, obstacles, family , friendships, moments that will make you laugh and moments that will make you cry but one think is for sure you’ll be rooting so hard the entire time .

Oh my gosh! I am so glad that Mandi Beck is back!
Levi “ Sexy” Sexton has appeared in two other works by Ms Beck as a secondary character. It was so fun to get to know this bad boy who loves hockey, his ma, and his bed. Levi is paired with Saffron Briggs (his dad’s new pitcher) in this “enemies to lovers” story.

These two characters, along with the entertaining secondary cast, were super fun to get to know. Levi is honestly one of these guys that, like Saffie, you hate to like, but you can’t help it.

Ms Beck pulled me in and did a wonderful job of creating a world I didn’t want to leave as these two evolved and chipped away at each other. This is sequential to Maeve’s book, but the two books are completely stand alones. I am really hoping we have more from the Hockey house boys and their friends!

I wasn’t sure I would like Levi after Arena Lights but Mandi showed us he has a softer side as well! 🥰

Levi “Sexy” Sexton is a hockey god and a major player. He doesn’t do relationships. He only loves hockey, his bed, and his mama. He’s used to getting any girl he wants until he meets Saffron Briggs. Saffron is the new pitcher for the softball team. She has a boyfriend and wants nothing to do with Levi. Unfortunately for her, Levi is the tutor her coach pairs her up with. The more time Levi and Briggsy spend together, the more they enjoy each others company.

This book is a definite slow burn but the tension and chemistry are there from the moment these two meet. Levi starts off cocky and full of himself but you start to see the softer, charming, and caring side also. Saffron tries her hardest to hold strong and resist this unexpected side of Levi.

Mandi is back and so are her hot on the ice players! Levi Sexton is all that and a bag of chips even his name is sexy! Charming, intelligent, player on and off the ice and swagger for days. He never met a woman that didn't swoon for his charm. Saffron Briggs is the new gal on the block. She is a transfer student and will be the new pitcher for the women's softball team. She has a fast ball to make your head spin and oh so much sass! She has Levi's number before he even sets those sexy eyes on her. She will certainly avoid him at all costs. That is until her coach and Levi's dad decide that he can help her with her advanced anatomy class. This couple has great banter, underlying sizzle and are just fun to read!

Saffie has recently started at Fulton U and will be pitching for the softball team that Levi’s father coaches. Although she likes the rest of the family her feelings for Lexi aren’t so clear and she is well aware of his reputation. It is only when he starts to tutor her that she sees another side which only leaves her more conflicted.

Levi’s celebrity status on the ice translates to off the ice where he is popular with the ladies. He is used to being chased after so having to do the chasing with Saffie only makes him want her more and now he needs to convince her.

Saffie and Levi were so much fun together between their humorous interactions and the heat between them. She is strong and knows what she deserves and isn’t about to accept anything less from him.

This is the third book in this series, and this is Levi and Saffron’s story. Levi is the captain of the FU hockey team, and he does not do relationships, while Saffie is the newest pitcher at FU university. Levi is asked by his dad to become Saffie’s tutor, and she makes him work for her attention. The chemistry between these two is sizzing and undeniable. This is a well written story which has family, friendships, humor, witty banter, emotions, tension, and love, which leads to a sweet, fun, entertaining, and steamy addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I have been dying for more Mandi Beck stories and I was so excited to receive this one! It was sexy. It was fun. It was emotional. It hit all the marks! I fell so hard for these characters. I loved the banter and the chemistry. I loved that the heroine made the hero work for it. I don't always get to see that often and I loved it. I enjoyed every minute of reading this story and I could not put it down. I loved that it even made me want to go watch hockey which is not something I have always been into. Every moment of this story brought something different and I can't wait to read more from Mandi. I love her witing style and I can't wait for more from her.

What can I say about Levi? He’s talented, a bit cocky, sexy, all around helluva guy. And loves to wind up and tick off Saffron Briggs, Or Briggsy to him. The more she gets annoyed at him, the happier he seems to get. And the more interested he seems to get in her. Completely loved their bickering back and forth, her giving no quarter to him, and his complete love of winding her up. This made me laugh quite a bit. But then, much to his shock, it turned into more, and that wasn’t something he was used to. I LOVED THIS!!! Definitely worth the wait!! And the ending, my heart!! ❤️
