Lily Lynn is constantly hearing a new phrase in her house: “Give me some change.” But change becomes especially hard to deal with when a new sporty girl comes to town—Peyton from California. Not only is Peyton athletic, dressed identically to Lily, and named after a famous football player, but she is also giving Lily Lynn a run for her money as the basketball team’s point guard.

Author Kelsey Maxell has been an elementary school teacher for more than a decade, and holds a Master's Degree in Elementary Education with a special emphasis in literacy. She and her husband, Ben, have two girls and live near Omaha, Nebraska. In her free time, she loves running, playing volleyball, softball, soccer, traveling and reading. Maxell is a former collegiate softball player and was a Division II National Champion in 2001.
Kelsey's mission in her writing is to create books that celebrate girls and encourages them to go for whatever they want! Her family stays active, and Maxell believes that any physical activity should be an important part of every girl's life, no matter what the activity or sport is.
