this was a interesting book! kinda hard to follow at first but towards the middle it got better, its about a woman who has a dark past that might just catch up with her. two guys in her life one is just always there and another has a crush on her. who will she choose? thanks for giving me a chance to read this book!

Very interesting book. You connect with her on the issues she faces and being torn between two people. I could not put it down I had to finish the book before I went to bed. There were a few curves thrown where I had to re-read the section. Definitely be recommending this book to friends. Thank you for the great read.

So it was the first line of the synopsis which drew me to this book; "She lives a double life, one where she hunts bad guys by night and one where she writes about them.". This idea of a kick-ass woman living a life full of secrets hidden behind this mask of a author really sparked my interest. However, I think I am in the minority in that, I have to admit my expectations of this book weren't met. Before I get into my thoughts too much for those who are thinking of picking this up there are two things to be aware of firstly it's length -it is a novella sized book with hints of sequel -, and secondly it is what I would class as new adult/adult, with explicit sexual scenes.
So this book begins by focusing on the life of Victoria Xylander the author moving from one book signing to another, hopping between hotels. We watch her as she gets to know fellow author and model Shane and as she continues her digital flirting with her crush Axel. For the first half of the book is focused on her relationships which these two guys while also hinting at this secret from her past. While the second part of the book focuses more on Toxyc's secret involving the X's - won't go into that as I don't want to spoil it for anyone.
For me I think there were two areas which let me down. Firstly, Toxyc's character just wasn't as kick-ass as I was expecting, she came across as more paranoid and scared. Running from her problems and distancing herself from everyone. We hardly ever got to see her in her 'hunting the bad guys' lifestyle. Secondly, I wanted to know more about the X's and would have liked ever more to see more scenes with them in, interacting with Toxyc.
Although, I did have some issues with this book I did like the pace at which the reader was give information about Toxyc's lives and also some of the twist near the end of the book, which I didn't see coming. So overall, a mixed opinion of this one.

Toxyc was leading a double life, she has had a dangerous past that she is running from, she has done wrong in her past but working under cover helping the government catch the bad guys makes her feel better for all the crap she done. Her day job is as an author and known as Victoria , this side of her life is completely different to Toxyc's . Toxyc was always on the run, she had no choice if she stopped they could find her, and if they found her she knows they will want revenge!
Attending book signings gives her the great excuse to not settle in one place and keeps her safe... for now.
Alex and Shane are hot male models, Alex has featured on the cover of her book and although they have never met in person they have been sharing some explicit messages that has Victoria sneaking off to bathrooms in strange places !! Shane started paying her attention at book signings and it wasn't long before she couldn't resist him any longer,,, not realising that her two worlds were about to collide in more ways than one !!
A thrilling read full of danger and suspense mixed in with some very hot and steamy sex scenes. Its a fast paced story and feels like there is a lot going on but in a good way and you got to love a story with hot tattoed male models involved !

Shane is a male model who has secrets as well. One that could cost Victoria her life.
Axel Adams is also a model who has been texting and sextexting Victoria for two years and the two have never met. Is it all fun and games or is there a chemistry between them?
Why do the X's want Toycx?
The author really keeps you on the edge of your seat with the drama and suspense lurking around every corner with this amazing story. I would recommend this book.

Intriguing and entertaining romantic suspense.
Toxyc is a well-written thrilling and exciting story that will captivate you and keep your attention from beginning to the end. It has a unique plot that was easy to follow and read. There is just the right amount of action and suspense to grab your attention from beginning to end. The characters are well developed and engaging. The book was well thought out and written to bring out different kinds of emotions.
This was the first book that I have read by M.S. L.R. I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a good mystery suspense with a touch of romance.
