தக்கர்கள் பற்றிய குறிப்புகளின் தொகுப்பு. மற்றபடி வரலாறு சரித்திரம் என்ற வார்த்தைகளுக்கும் இந்த புத்தகத்துக்கும் ஒரு சம்மந்தமும் இல்லை. தீரன் வேறு பார்த்து விட்டதால் இந்த குறிப்புகளிலும் வியக்க எதுவும் இல்லை.

உலகத்தையே கொள்ளையடித்து, கோடானு கோடி மக்களை கொன்று குவித்து அவர்கள் உடமைகளை கவர்ந்து சென்று தங்கள் நாட்டை வளப்படுத்திய வெள்ளை நிற கொள்ளைக்காரர்களை மனித புனிதர்களாக்க அவர்கள் எழுதி வைத்து சென்ற மிகைப்படுத்தப்பட்ட கட்டுக்கதைகளை ஆதாரங்களாக கொண்டு மெனக்கிட்டிருக்கிறார் நூலாசிரியர்...

A good book..
This book will give you a lot of insights into thuggees and their similar counterparts. The author has spent some good time researching their history and shared the details meticulously in this book. W.H.Sleeman has contributed to our country more than what our current politicians do.. "Not all Indians are good, and Not all British people are bad" is something which the author tried to convey and he has succeeded in that plot. Book started off very well and it falls flat after 30 or 40% and it turns to be like reading a "Moral of the storybook" which we used to read during our childhood. The same set of people with different names, being thugs, kills people, gets caught -- > Repeat.. This was kind of repetitive and made me lose interest. But however, it's a good book overall. Few chapters are unnecessary and could have been avoided easily. Would have been more gripping. Also, how the gangs have been formed and how they continued the tricks to kill people could have little more details especially the KutraParambarai part. Apart from that, it's a good read. 3 stars would be apt, but adding 1 more for the research this author has done.

One of the best books i have ever read . A Detailed Analysis about the thugs and their way of operating
