I picked this book up totally randomly and I was suprised at how much I liked it. It's probably more appropriate for high schoolers, but it has absolutely no objectionable content in spite of it being a romance. It's a very sweet teen romance between two students from a NY performing arts school - two future stars! Appealing topic, written with sensitivity and insight. I highly recommend it.
When my mum gave me this book it was old, falling apart, and I didn't particularly think it would be anything greater than its sentimental value. However I was very wrong and I found this book to be beautiful and an emotional and wonderful read.
This is a book about feelings, so as a result, not a lot happened. I wanted the ending to be more of the middle, which is why it's two stars instead of three.
A real trip down memory lane reading this recently. I was fourteen all over again. Some themes that are timeless for the young adult - love, loss, death, growing up.
Living for someone else isn't always bad when your mom is dying of cancer. Not an especially uplifting book, but one I read in my teens that I wanted to revisit. YA :)
