4.5--Loved this second book in the Billionaire Marriage Brokers series. These are adorable, quick reads
That are so hard to put down!!

I really enjoyed Gabe & MaKayla's love story. In this book, the couple spent more time together than the first book, and that made me happy. :) Love the swoon-worthy, tension-filled moments between a couple in an arranged marriage. ;)

Gabe was seriously the most thoughtful man ever. Mint tea? Chicken soup? The car to drive her between places so she can work? And much more. Ms. McConnell has a knack for writing strong alpha males that'll make you swoon...and want to drink mint tea. ;)

I can't wait to read the next book, "The Professional Bride"...this series was an unexpected find and I'm so happy I started it!! What fun!

Book 2 in the Billionaire Marriage Broker series! While I absolutely LOVED the first book... The Academic Bride... this one was good for me. I enjoyed it but not as much as the first one.

MaKayla enjoys being a party planner and loves all the little details that go into planning the perfect event. Her dream is to own her own business but the way things are going for her in the job she is currently in it does not look promising. When Pamela stops by the hotel after one of MaKayla's events to discuss the chance of a lifetime she is scared to make the plunge but does it anyway.

Gabe's ex-girlfriend really did a number on him and all of his charity events. She was all about the money and spend, spend, spend. So by the time they break up he has absolutely no faith in women. When he meets Pamela and is able to explain all that he has been through she is able to present the perfect solution. Yep... that's right! Marriage! ;)

MaKayla and Gabe are very cute together. They fit each other perfectly. However, their life together doesn't start out being the greatest. There are misunderstandings and stubbornness but in the end they are determined to succeed. They both have to find just the right balance to make everything work.. they have to learn how to communicate and just be who the other person needs. I really enjoyed the little things that Gabe would do for MaKayla. And I just have to say that it really is refreshing to see the Alpha male role portrayed in a good, clean romance book. I love it! :)

The only thing that would have made it better was an epilogue! I have said it over and over again... I don't like to be left hanging. Books that just end make me sad! I like to have closure! I guess what they say is true... when a book is good... you just want MORE!! ;)

Lucy McConnell has become and auto buy author for me. Can't wait to read what she has planned for us next! :)

This is a cute series, I love the idea for the Billionaire Marriage Brokers and the modern day arranged marriage storylines. I look forward to reading the rest of the books.

While I thought this one was cute, I thought there was too much emphasis on their time at work or talking about work. It's all they ever really talked about and I thought it distracted from the romance. There wasn't a whole lot of romantic interactions and I was a bit unbelieving in their sudden declarations of love. I would have liked to see more of the day to day things and more conversations that didn't revolve around work/charities. I did think it was a fun read and kept me entertained, I just think the romance could have been a little better. I liked the characters and again look forward to reading more from this series.

Another cute book in the series

I thought this was another cute romance in the Billionaire Marriage Brokers series. It's interesting to see how the author manages to make each story unique, despite the premise of a billionaire business marriage that each story has. I liked seeing how the two main characters came together, and there were some great supporting characters as well. Another good book!

I'm loving everything about this series! I love the plot, the characters and how the endings work out. This one's about MaKayla, she's working as an event planner at a hotel, but the problem is that she is stuck planning there. Instead of being able to take contacts that she's gained from the hotel to a business that she wants to start, there's a clause in her contract forbidding that for a year, making her completely unable to move on. She meets Pamela at one of her events and is interested in being able to work for her for a year. She doesn't quite realize just in what capacity she'd be working.

Gabe is head of his own business and trying to fund several charities at the same time. He needs someone to help him, but because of being burned by a former girlfriend working in that capacity, he's unwilling to try out someone new. Pamela convinces him that his best bet is to be married to whoever he has working over his charities. He only hopes that she's right and that things won't go badly.

Such a cute, clean romance and story. I loved that in this one, there was kind of a romance going in the background too. Make sure to grab this fun book, you won't want to put it down!

This is a lovely book about young woman marrying a Billionaire. They will have to stay married for a year.what secrets do they have? Will they be able to love together for a year. This is called "The Organized Bride" as that is her job. She is in charge of planning and giving dinners, parties, weddings at a hotel. After she marries she becomes in charge of the many charitable festivities they give for the company. You will learn about MaKayla and
Gabe's wedding and marriage. You will learn about David, Asst. and Brooke,
MaKayla's sister. This is a very happy, light book and you will finish with a
Smile on your face! Lucy McConnell has done a very good job on this book.
I would definitely recommend this book if you are looking for a nice nights read!

This story of MaKayla and Gabe is the third work I have read by Lucy McConnell and she has been consistent in delivering five-star offerings. She has risen to be one of my very favorite authors. I love clean romances but have frequently been disappointed by authors who condescendingly try to impose their particular brand of Christianity on the reader. Ms. McConnell’s protagonists have all been highly moral people and the themes of her books revolve around characters who find real love, not lust. She raises “feel-good books” to a new, higher level. I am one who values authors who are sticklers for accuracy. Although this may be nit-picking, I finally found an instance where Ms. McConnell missed the mark slightly - twice. First, she wrote, “She examined Gabe’s signature, all blocky with a final swoop at the end. …. That swoop was the eccentric side of him that balanced out the corporate image.” It just happens that my spouse holds two separate certifications as a Graphoanalyst and as a Graphologist. The swoop actually denotes cautious behavior, not eccentricity, so her source expert led her astray. The blocky signature denotes a strong business sense so that was not far off the mark. Second, she had Gabe say, “How do we account for the prizes on the balance sheet? If we have to provide a few more for the drawing, will it take away from the donations?” Actually, a Balance Sheet simply shows the financial state of the business as of the date of the report. The cost of prizes is part of the Income Statement where revenues and expenses are shown over the course of a period of time. Nevertheless, this was a great read and fully deserves a five-star rating.

I am loving the BMB series. This book was just as good as the first. They aren't extremely long books because I read this one in a few hours but they totally worth it. Gabe and MaKayla both have goals for where they want their lives to go. Neither wanted marriage but when it made things easier to reach those goals they were both willing to take the plunge. Lucy has a way of making you fall in love with these characters and hope that they will see they are made for each other and fall in love. Even though it may seem like these books would disrespect what marriage is really about Lucy makes them tasteful and respectful. Even though in every book they jump into marriage with someone they have never met. To help prove that here is my favorite line from this one. "Picking up her hand, Gabe pressed his lips to MaKayla's fingers. She smiled at him, and he knew his life would be full of breathless moments!" I have to say I'm hooked and off to start the 3rd one!

I stumbled across this series on Kindle Unlimited and I am so glad I did! While I find the story premise to be a little far fetched, it still makes for a fun and engaging read! All of the first 4 books I have read in this series have been delightful! I have enjoyed the characters and seeing them work through their circumstances to find love.

At first, the books would seem to be stand alone novels, as only the secondary characters show up repeatedly. However, later in the series there is a repeat of a previous couple in Book 4 and a character from this novel will be in McConnell's newest release, The Protective Groom. Also, Book 6 will have another character from one of the earlier novels, who had a cameo appearance. So with all that said, I would read them in order.

Another wonderful plus is that this series is currently available with Kindle Unlimited, so you can read right through the whole series! Yay!

This is a clean read romance. Light, fun and heartwarming!

I loved the first book in this series and was hoping this book was just as good and it did not disappoint. Both of these BMB books were so fun to read and were a quick read too. I wanted them to keep going and going and read more of their story of them getting to know each other. I was wondering if this would be the same storyline as the first one and the characters would just be different but it was different from the start. I liked how this one started out and was kind of glad that it didn't repeat the beginning process again so in that respect you should probably read the first one in the series if you want the full effect of how overwhelming the signing of papers was and the emotions that went along with it. It's a clean book with no swearing and no love scenes. There are some steamier kissing scenes but between husband and wife. I can't say enough good things about these books.

Even billionaires can't

Even billionaires can't be in two places at once. Sometimes when a pet project takes as much time as the ways needed to make the money for it, someone else, who has a vested interest, more in-depth than even the most trusted employee. A wife, but not just any wife, a professional, organized wife, selected and hired through an organization that specializes.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel from the first page until the very last. It has been a very rare occurrence that I could just pick up a book and read it in one day; but, I was captivated by these characters and their amazing love story instantaneously.

Very cute - 3.5 Stars.

Received this second Billionair Marriage Brokers book free after finishing the first one. These are delightful clean reads in my fave romance theme, fake relationship/marriages.

Once again we see Pamela Jones stepping in to help a billionaire, this time Gabe Russell is in need of not just a wife to ward off unwanted advances, but someone capable of planning both large and small charity and business events.

Enter event planner, MaKayla. Overworked and unappreciated in her current job, MaKayla dreams of owning her own business.

BMB match made in heaven!

These two were really sweet. Gabe is adorable when she comes down with a cold. This one seemed to focus at lot more on their work rather than their growing deisre for one another. Typical secretive pasts cause the expected issues to keep things rolling and it all neatly wrapped up for a HEA.

Will definitely be picking up more in the series.

Clean romance but had to suspend disbelief a little too much

A sweet and clean quick read. It was a little hard for me to see the rationale for Gabe and Makayla to marry in the first place. He had just been majorly burned by another woman, yet he was willing to trust a stranger with the same responsibilities AND marry her too! Seems like they could have become business partners first and then fell in love. I don't mind marriage of convenience story lines, but this just required a little more suspension of disbelief for me.

Arranged marriage for business reasons, but it's complicated. Gabe kept assuming Makayla would make the same dumb mistakes his ex-girlfriend had made, but never explained to her why he was worried about finances or what had happened previously. So...another instance of one good conversation saving the whole book. With that, the ending was a bit abrupt.

i almost liked this one more than the last, haha.

i LOVED that in this one gabe's bff david was hilarious, and not a smooze like the guy's bff in the last one. him and brooke were adorable!

i will say there was a misunderstanding that was a little annoying, but it was blissfully brief.

also, is it bad that i wish sharon had more screen time? i really enjoyed makayla putting her in her place!

once again, i wish these books were longer. i feel like it has so much potential for exploring more character growth, and it just feels super rushed to fit everything in.

A good, short-term, arranged marriage, romance. MaKayla and Gabe may need each other to meet their personal goals. However, Pamela Jones seems to see something a bit more in the situation. As the couple navigate the business and companionable aspects of their relationship, stress, insecurities, miscommunication, and his ex amp up the emotions. The end is quite pleasant.

Entertaining. Happily Ever After. Romantic. Tragic. Twisted. Unpredictable. Whimsical. Wonderful characters.

I received a review copy of this book from a third party. This is my honest review.

I had a free copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Makayla thought being an event coordinator would lead her to her own event planning business, but the funds weren’t there, and if she leaves she has no clients for a year. She marries Gabe to help keep his charities organized and on the right track, but they fall in love, and enjoy working together. An interesting and entertaining book.

Heart Warming

Makayla and Gabe's story begins with a lot of misunderstandings on both their parts. She thinks he is a micro-manager and he thinks she is out to steal his charity money. They finally come to know that he is into service for others and her and he comes to understand she's not after money but does the little details for events and people as she does for him. Great storyline and characters!

Conceptually brilliant

I just love the matches! They don’t know each other, but they get married to said stranger. Let the fun begin! Gabe was just the best! So sweet and thoughtful. Makayla was a hard-hitting woman. No job too small for her to beat, even if she’s sick. So glad they got a happily ever after.
