Once there were two good friends. Gia had a lousy, cheating husband and a stalled writing career. Fiona had an unemployed husband and a very sick child. Bad luck, surely. Or was it more than that? Could someone or something be jinxing them? When their luck gets even worse, the two women decide that it's time to take matters into their own hands. And what comes more naturally to women than a little witchcraft? But is "double, double" worth the "toil and trouble"? Gia thinks so when her spells win her a hot young hunk. Fiona isn't so sure, but her daughter does seem to be getting better.... When their newfound luck suddenly sours, they have to rethink their plan. But if a little faith in magic got them into trouble, maybe just a little bit more can get them out and help them find what - or who - has been fooling around with their karma.
I like a good witchy story. This one was good if you like them too.not what I thought at all especially from the description, I wonder somtimes if that is why some books do poorly, they aren't properly represented. This turned into erotica at the mid point of the book out of nowhere didnt bother me just a heads up for others to know. I find it weird also considering I found it in a children's section of the bookstore .again poorly represented for what it is.but I did like the storyline enough to want to know the outcome and I was pleased with that and could see how it was left open for a part 2. And a saved a 12 year old witch ritual sex
I bought this book years ago and started it, got really sick and never finished it. I always thought I liked it, I love cats, bookstores, The Bay Area, herbs and witches to an extent. Over the years I have kept it and never came across a glowing review for it. I think it was a little over the top for me. That is the only reason I can think of for not liking something that contains so many of my intrests.
I now realize why there aren't any more Fiona Kendrick Books, even though this one looks like it was meant to be the first of a series.
