Fake marry the bad boy who broke my heart 8 years ago?Trust me, I know how crazy it sounds. But today that bastard came back. And now, tying the knot is the only way to get the cash I need for my bakery.Unfortunately I don't believe in second chances. Especially not for Hunter Thorne.
Hunter's ripped, dangerous arms and sinful hands shouldn't be allowed anywhere near me. The absolute last thing I need is a fling with an infuriating, sexy-as-hell, tattooed bad boy who already broke my heart once.
But I don't need Mr. Right to get this money.I just need Mr. Right Now.And guess who's staying on my couch?
I'm not the naive schoolgirl I used to be. Fake brides don't fall in love for real, and I won't fall for the inked bad boy a second time…...
…... If only my heart would get the message.
Because pretending shouldn't be this easy. And saying goodbye shouldn't be this hard.
Title: ➜Fake Bride with Benefits Author: Riley Rollins
This is second change romance –Hunter Thorne & Tess Cassidy high school sweethearts
Summer after senior year, Hunter doesn’t know how to tell Tess, he is leaving town to join the Navy.. Ever since his dad was killed in action, he hasn’t been the same. Tess promises to wait for him. She hoped he change his mind & return to their small sleepy town in Tennessee.. but week turn into months & months into years, before she knew it 8 years had passed.. Tess had married & divorce in the time that was gone…
After eight long years of service in the Navy, including six long, dangerous years deployed as a SEAL, Hunter comes back to Maple Ridge to settle some old debts before heading out to Alaska to start a new quiet life.. Or so he thought that’s what he was going to do-hunter finds himself in one hell of mess
This book has lazy feel to it & very slow pace to it… it also has some small town corruption I’ve only read few books from this Author & I have truly love them , but this book kinda felt flat to me, like it was missing something. Keep in mind this is just my opinion, maybe you might feel different about it once you read it. So don’t let my opinion discouraged you
Tess and Hunter were high school sweethearts until Hunter left to join the army. Tess’ heart breaks, but she lets him chase his dreams. When Hunter returns a few years later, he wants to see Tess again and maybe get another chance. Tess and Hunter become roommates, because he isn’t going to stay long. Tess and Hunter reconnect again.
I liked Tess and Hunter. Tess is passionate about food and I was hoping from the start that one day she would fulfill her dream. She is determined, caring and loving. Hunter is strong and determined. He was only going to stay for a while, but when Tess needs his help, he doesn’t hesitate to help her. I loved them even more together. They belong together.
Fake Bride With Benefits is a sweet, enjoyable second chance love story. I loved the flow of the story and the writing. I love the title, because I love books where the relationship starts fake and becomes real. But they only fake marry in the second part of the book and I had to wait even longer for the benefits part. I loved the second part more than the first part.

Fake Bride with Benefits by Riley Rollins a fabulous four star read. I have read several books by this author and loved them, so was excited to get my hands on this one, I enjoyed it, but I did feel a little confused in one or two places where it seemed to jump a part, it may have been me reading and drifting but I couldn’t seem to find the missing bit. But It’s a great story and if you just want a light read that can take you away into another world for a few hours and make you forget your troubles, this is a great book to do that. Tess Cassidy who was briefly known as Tess Campbell before she divorced her cheating husband, is a woman who has dreams, when she gets told that the only way she can have one of those dreams is to do something she never imagined doing now, get married to a hot guy, not since he left her 8 years ago, when she thought he planned to propose to her. Hot guy in question is Hunter Thorne, he ran away 8 years ago, and joined the marines and she got on with her life. Now he’s back and its only temporary, but he’s back righting wrongs and maybe he can help her get her dream by pretending to be married for a month, not so hard, unlike some other things. But sometimes things that seem easy on the surface are the hardest tasks you will face, they both have to face up to past mistakes, will they ever see past them to move on?
I received an advanced reader copy for an honest review. 5⭐️ This is probably one of my favorite books from Riley Rollins! Hunter and Tess had a steamy relationship when they were teenagers. It all ends in heartbreak when Hunter enlists in the Navy and leaves Tess. 8 years later Hunter's back to tie up loose ends before he heads to Alaska where no one can reach him. Tess is dealing with the aftermath of her divorce and trying to make her dream of opening a restaurant come true. Running into each other on Hunters first night back in the small town only causes memories to surface and rumors to start. Gotta love small town living! When an opportunity arises that will let Tess obtain her dream of finally opening a restaurant, she and Hunter are given only one choice to make it happen. It's all fake, right? Doesn't mean anything, right? Add all of this with conflicting emotions, steamy sex, political sabotage and you've got one great story!!
Well written characters who allow you to reach into each POV & feel their Heat & pain. Couldn't put it down! The ever sexy bad boy Hunter is back to lay claim what he walked away from all those years ago. Tessa is in a tough spot & Hunter's the one to help her out of it or is he? The two have magnanimous chemistry but maybe the past is truly just that? Maybe love Doesn't heal your wounds? Can Tessa & Hunter come together through their differences & make it happen the second time around? Grab your copy today and experience how their story unfolds. * I am voluntarily reviewing an Advanced Reader Copy of this book* I like a good second chance story and Riley Rollins does a great job with this book. Hunter and Tess are well written, interesting characters, and feel like real people. There is some sassy banter, quirky friends, make for a great quick read. Enjoy!!
This story is about second chances in love and life. The heroine, Tess, and the Hero, Hunter, are high school sweethearts, but after graduation Hunter enlists in the Navy to avenge the death of his father. Tess is devastated and says she will wait for him, but he knows he can't ask that of her b/c he doesn't feel good enough for her and he is afraid to commit. Eventually Tess marries a stable, but boring guy. Unfortunately the man she marries is a jerk and cheats, so she finds herself alone & divorced and trying to make ends meet. Hunter rolls back into town on his motorcycle to tie up some loose ends before he heads to Alaska. He ends up running into Tess and all their old feelings for each other surface. He encourages her to open up a restaurant of her own, but when she is denied a business loan that is where the fake marriage comes in. However, the longer it goes on the less fake it feels, at least for her. Will Hunter be able to commit this time or will he break her heart all over again? Will Tess learn to put herself first and fight for what she wants? And how far will the mayor of their little town go to prevent them from having any success? Hunter becomes all alpha Navy Seal protector, but can he open his heart before it is too late? There is a HEA, but it takes a sweet read (with some steamy moments) to get there. If you have like Riley's other books then I definitely recommend giving this one a try.
The thing is about second chance romance novels, the H or h who made a mistake has to be able to redeem themselves, and this book fail to redeem the H. I expected myself to love him but damnit he's such an asshole! The story had potential I guess, but I just can't get over the fact that the H is such a douche and the h is so damn stupid to take him back just like that. No, no. He left her twice and when he finally decided to come back he said he's mot sure he loves her? Psh. I am so angry at both of them!
As much as I hate the main characters, the writing style was not that bad. With better character development and plot this book could've been at least a 4 star for me.
Tess and Hunter have a past. She loved him and he left her to become a SEAL. Now it is eight years later and he is back in town. He came home to clear up some debts. Tess is now divorced and wants to open her own business. They find a way to get a small business loan. The only problem is that they need to be married to qualify for the loan. They agree to a fake marriage and Hunter still says he is leaving in a month. But can he walk away from Tess again? All in all a pretty good book to read.
Hunter and Tess are high school sweethearts but life happened. He enlists and becomes a seal. She looses hope and moves on with her life. Loose ends and a divorce brings them back together but things are not easy. Penny and Havoc stripper/junkie and mafia killer, what a combination. Havoc would anything to save the woman he loves including going against the people he use to consider his family.
So again, I didn't like a story by this author. I didn't like the characters. Tess was ok but Hunter was an asshole. The relationship didn't feel real. Also, the author apparently doesn't even know the timing of her own story. A week went by where she clearly noted several different days and then later she says it only been one day that had passed. I doubled checked because I thought I was going crazy. It just wasn't well developed. I felt like it could have been so much better.

Very nice second chance romance! Loved the characters and storyline. It's a page turner with a little bit of everything in it. Would certainly recommend.
This book grabbed my attention from the start. There were plenty of moments when you wondered if they were getting together or not. I thought I'd figured out the motive of the bad guy, but I was way off. Still a good read. Now I'm craving rainbow bagels.
I DNF this book after 50%. I kept waiting to see whether the story would turn around and the H would become a better man. He is a jerk at the beginning and is rude, arrogant, only focused on the h’s body and non-committal. Usually a romance has some redeeming characteristics in the H by halfway through the book but not this one. The h was weak and the H was terrible. A complete miss.
I liked reading about Hunter & Tess and then getting a second chance, but Hunter not realizing what was in front of him drove me insane. With Hunter back in town for a while he never thought he would see Tess again and their feelings came rushing back. Tess wants nothing more then to be with Hunter but doesn't want a broken heart again. Tess needs Hunter to be her fake husband to get a loan for her Cafe and he agrees but is it really fake or will Hunter just break Tess's heart again?

Fast paced with a little angst this is defiantly one I couldn't put down! I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy of this book
Hunter and Tess had great chemistry, and played along with that for way too long for my patience, however, it was entertaining along the way. Hunter was a hot sexy talker and Tess just didn't want a repeat of the past. There was not a lot of steam in this one, but certainly kept you interested.

Tess wants to open up a bakery, but that costs money, that's where Hunter comes in. Hunter and Tess share a past. Many years ago, they were together, a couple, young, happy and living life to the fullest. Tess thought it would last forever. Evidently, Hunter had other thoughts. Years pass. Life goes on. Sometimes good things happen, sometimes bad. Tess's life hasn't been filled with a whole lot of happiness since Hunter left. She's moved on the best she could, found happiness, or so she thought and she soon realized that, apparently, not everyone got their happily ever after. Now eight years later, Hunter has returned and he's got one thing on his mind....Tess. What he wouldn't give for one more night with her. That's all it could ever be. If Hunter learned one thing, in the last eight years, it's that he isn't built for commitment. A change in plans blows that realization all to he\\. Tess needs his help and maybe by helping her, he might just get that extra night. Hunter has plans to move on and Tess has plans that include a bakery. Will these two ever realize that they will only be happy if they are together? Hunter is a man who believes he needs to be on his own. He's seen a lot the last eight years and needs to decompress. His feelings for Tess have never faded, but they are not the same as they were years ago. Time changed that. It took years for Tess to move on from Hunter; lots of pain and hurt, not to mention what their life could have been like if Hunter had stayed. Tess never wants to feel that kind of pain again. Something has to give or Hunter will be walking away from Tess the second, and most likely, the last time. A WELL WRITTEN AND VERY CAPTIVATING STORY ! I fell right into the words and the scenes played out in my mind, like real life. Life isn't always pretty, but sometimes fate lends a hand and makes it pretty. GREAT CHARACTER DETAIL AND INTENSE CHEMISTRY ! LOTS OF FLIRTING AND TEASING THAT TURNED INTO SMOKING HOT SEX ! ! ! AN AWESOME MUST READ !
I voluntarily read an ARC for an honest review I love second chance romances and Riley Rollins has delivered a great one. Hunter and Tess we're high school sweethearts but that ended when Hunter enlisted in the Navy. Eight years later Hunter is back home but only for a little while. Tess is struggling after her divorce from her cheating husband. She wants to open up a resteraunt but doesn't have the money or credit. Hunter offers to help her but they have to be married before the bank will give them the money. Tess doesn't want to marry because she knows Hunter will be leaving soon and Hunter doesn't want to be tied down. Can they survive being married and not break each other? This was such a great read
This was a great story about second chance love. Tess and Hunter were always meant to be. She knew it, but it took him a little longer to realize it. He left town (and her) once eight years ago, but now he's back. It's only supposed to be for a short time though. A business decision has them entering into a real, but fake marriage. Is this really such a good idea? Will Hunter still leave like he planned? Will Tess end up with her heart broken again? I recommend reading this to find out. *I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my honest review.*
I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book based on an advanced readers copy I received. Riley Rollins delivers an amazing second chance romance story sure to captivate you from the very beginning. Hunter and Tess's story is sure to fill you with many emotions and not wanting their story to end. I highly recommend this book!
4* Tess & Hunter were together 8 years ago. Hunter enlisted just after high school so they ended their relationship. She's was married to roger who cheated on her. Better yet hunter has now returned from the seals he's passing through. The chemistry & spark is still there but they both have different dreams now. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Second chances
I am never disappointed when Riley Rollins comes out with a new book and she does it again with her latest. Two people who meant the world to each other in high school and for a few months after have been living their own lives for eight years. Now both are back in the same town and in each other's orbits again. When Tess and Hunter separated both thought that was it, even if they never forgot about the other or tried to keep hope alive, eventually both moved on with their lives. Tess got married, thought she was happy(ish) until the truth rocks her marriage. Hunter went on to be a SEAL, but has returned to his hometown for a quick visit before disappearing to Alaska, or so he thought. When an opportunity for Tess to live her dream is presented with the stipulation that a married couple would have an easier time they decide to fake it. But how long can you fake something before it becomes real? That is what Tess and Hunter have to learn and in the end all of their wildest dreams have to chance to come true, if they are brave enough to embrace it. I loved Hunter and Tess, even if there were times I wanted to yell at Hunter for being a little dense, he redeems himself big time. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
When Hunter left Tess to join the Military, her heart was shattered but, she found a way to move on and eventually get married. Fast forward 8 years later and Hunter reappears reopening those tender wounds. I loved this book and really enjoyed reading it. So well written and beautiful with a hea.
