With more than 40 years experience in ministry, Dr. Dale Fife is a Pastor, Apostle, Teacher and best selling author. He and his wife Eunice have ministered extensively through the country as well as in many parts of the world.

Doctor D, as he is affectionately called, has served the Body of Christ for over forty-five years as a caring pastor, insightful teacher, gifted musician, and best-selling author.

His zeal for the Lord has led him on an incredible journey from his first pastorate of a small rural Methodist Church in a coal-mining town outside of Johnstown, PA, to the co-founding of a large interdenominational and multiracial inner-city church in Pittsburgh, with Bishop Joseph Garlington and Pastor Dennis Carlson.

As worship leader at the first outdoor Jesus Festivals numbering over 50,000, in the mid seventies, or in his present apostolic ministry speaking in churches, conferences, colleges, and men's and women's gatherings for leaders or intercessors in many nations, Dale's enthusiasm and hunger for God is contagious. His wisdom, maturity, and genuine spiritual concern for others have caused many to regard him as a "spiritual father" in the Lord. His insightful teaching has inspired and blessed thousands around the world.

Dale's insatiable passion for intimacy with God led to the writing of his first book, The Secret Place, Passionately Pursuing God's Presence. This best-seller has blessed and encouraged many Christians to seek a closer walk with God. The sequels, The Hidden Kingdom, Journey Into the Heart of God and Spirit Wind, The Ultimate Adventure are making a significant impact upon the Church.

I am still pondering on the reading of this book

I think for me, I would have to read this book again. I was not expecting what I read. I had a totally different expectation to be honest. I was not expecting to read his journal. There were definitely some gold nuggets to take away. It may also be that this book is not a book in season for me like it has been for others. The invitation to the well of intimacy will definitely stay with me. That has certainly impacted me the most in reading this book.

I really enjoyed this book. I only gave it three stars merely because there is no way to know if it is true or not. He writes about his own visions given by the Holy Spirit. He puts words in God's mouth, and I think that should be tread on very carefully. So, Im not taking his words as gospel, but I certainly can chew on his thoughts and grow from what I do know is true according to the Holy Word of God.

Never the Same

I will be forever changed after reading this book. I feel as If The Lord himself has taken me through these paths and valleys. I know He has absolutely led me here to drink from the well of His presence! He is all I seek!

Wasn't sure I was going to like this book or not. But the word pictures helped to put the ideas of pursuing God's presence in perspective.

This book was read by multiple people in my family. It’s a deeply convicting book to go to a more intimate relationship with the Father. Told from the perspective of visions that a pastor had. I would recommend reading it like a devotional for each chapter-because it takes a lot of time to process.

"Lord, I am here. I have come to walk with You today, just as Enoch did so many years ago." This author's prayer at the beginning of the new century eventually has become reality by dreams and visions of Jesus Christ that we can read in this book.

Book starts very interesting, but then the first half reads like a diary. As usual, it's hard to read others thoughts, notes and even God's advises to them. It's just their personal life on their stage of life. At some point, I was little discouraged to continue, but I said "I made it to the 2nd half, let just finish it". Little I knew back then what a blessing awaits me in the second half of the book. This is where the visions (or rather revelation) of Jesus Christ begin. It seems that only patient find the blessings.

Why I think, it's authentic revelation of Jesus Christ? For me the crucial point is that the author in one of the visions saw Jesus both as merciful and just. This is what the Bible reveals as well. Often, I find that emphasis is either on God's love or judgment, but very rarely we could hear that Jesus' character includes both in the same time.

Overall, book is a good read, so I recommend it to those who want to be more closer to God.

Dr. Dale A. Fife takes spiritual walks with Jesus and gets to go places with Him like Enoch did. In this book The Secret Place: Passionately Pursuing His Presence is a series of revelation encounters with Christ. He is teaching Dale and the reader about our Christian walk and maturation in His kingdom. A couple of my favorite revelations in this book are about the Well of His Presence and the Map room in Heaven. This book has greatly influenced my life; I read this one (and the other 2 books in this series: The Hidden Kingdom and Spirit Wind) over again every couple of years because as I grow, I see differently the eternal lessons taught in these pages. These books include seer and prophetic impartation and encouragement, experiences and visions with Jesus, inspiration to write down my visions and have experiences with Jesus for myself. Just opening this book gets me into the Presence of God and then takes me places with Jesus in the spirit. These books are illustrations of scriptures that come alive as you read the pages.

I got this book over 6yesrs ago as a gift and unable to read it at the time.4years later I found myself devour this book wishing I had done so earlier. The experience cannot be explained. Jesus desires to spend time with us more than we know and allow. This book made Jesus more real to me, opened me up to my purpose and i just love Jesus more and more. I plan to read it again this year by God's grace.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it though at times it seems a bit personally insular and I wondered how I could be relating to what he was writing about but actually it seemed to inspire me to develop my own personal dialog with the Lord. I would have have given it four stars but it seemed to drag a bit in the latter half but over-all I gained a good amount of insight.

This is a very personal description of the author's experiences in the presence of God. We don't expect for ordinary people to walk and talk with the Lord in His Secret Place. Yet everything the author described is backed up by Scripture.

Not a read for every believer, but those who desire the closer walk of Enoch and desire to become "a remnant" should prayerfully consider the task.
