Malladi Venkata Krishna Murthy (born November 13, 1949 in Vijayawada) is a popular Telugu writer. He is known for thrilling plots, nearer to natural real life. Malladi Dakshinamurty (father), Malladi Saradamba (mother)are his parents. He is the seventh child to his parents amongst nine!. He graduated from Andhra University in 1969 in commerce faculty. He worked in different private organizations up to 1972. After that he joined as an auditor in Government audit office in Hyderabad. He resigned from his job in 1986 to become a full-time writer. He has published over 150 novels through Lipi publications in the past 32 years.

Firstly, the cover page deceived me.. it did not take much time for me to understand that but immediately I was so much into the book, I left it and I raced ahead reading.. Till almost half of the book, we are not sure how the problem will be solved and I couldn’t even guess who will solve the problem..the interest levels were at peaks.. pages were rolling very swiftly.. the buildup of story was very convincing and the plot dominated all the characters..

Then when I understood that 3 people are on their way to the goal, it all started.. the most boring expedition ever.. I felt the author had written many pages just to fill some space and dragged the book, I literally skipped some paras.. it was really not necessary to know about the different species in the jungle to that much extent.. but it ended as hoped..

Overall it’s just a casual read.. I had lot of expectations when I started but those were not met in the end..

Zoological Fantasy Thriller! Author Malladi, has picked up an interesting theme but failed to impress . This can be much better, i feel something is missing in it as a Fantasy Thriller.

This was my first kind of scientific thriller. The lead character brings back a rare species of snails (for farming/cultivating) from abroad after after tasting a delicious soup in a restaurant and to make some for himself on his own, but suffers a train accident and they escape. They are the kind who are very voracious pulping everything on their way (even furniture) and multiply rapidly that it becomes a National emergency to stop them. Finally only the nature has a remedy for them.
