Hell Yeah! #28

Dreamweaver

Rate this book
Was it a dream or just the edge of reality?
For a brief, shining moment, Pepper McCoy belonged to
rock star Judah James. Completely.
The depth of their attraction stunned them both. Every moment they were together, electric heat arced between them like the sweetest fire.
And then everything changed...
For reasons she can't understand, Judah pushed Pepper out of his life. He told her she just imagined their love, that none of it was real. He even brought another woman into the picture to prove to Pepper that their time together was a lie.
And Pepper might believe him, if it wasn't for the adoration in his eyes anytime she finds him watching her unaware.
Even the songs he writes are filled with the words of love he once whispered in her ear.
No... something is wrong.
Something isn't right.
Judah wants her, she can’t believe otherwise.
Pepper refuses to give up on love.
And no one should be surprised...
After all, she's a McCoy.

Pepper was a great heroine: she was strong-willed and caring. However, H was not so likable … maybe it's because I already had a bad impression on him when I read Ryder's story. Although he claimed what he did to push Pepper away all were for protecting her, I thought he was a selfish coward. Moreover, Pepper should have never forgiven him so easily.

I will continue reading this author's books; this one was just not my cup of tea.

Dreamweaver is the first book I have read by Sable Hunter but boy does she pack a whole lot of her characters from previous stories into this one pretty flawlessly. Judea James lead singer of the upcoming rock band Shiloh and Penny McCoy spot each other outside of a store and for both - it is magical. Penny is part of the McCoy clan a rather large family that in between the pages of this book, keeps growing. Judea is an only child but ever since he was 17 and suffered from mononucleosis, he sees things others don't and hears everything from trees offering song lyrics, to down right nasty and rude toasters and coffee pots. As weirdly comical as this sounds, it is a serious disorder that when finally diagnosed, can ruin everything he has accomplished including his budding romance with the beautiful Penny. Throw in a jealous obnoxious female opening act that demanded to tour with Shiloh and of course is related to some bigwig, a blackmail scheme and this has the makings of your typical rock romance, but Sable manages to create a very unique story. Penny is adorable, she is by her own admission, a throw back to women of the 1950's but no pushover and is unapologetic for it. Her faith and love for Judea will keep you rooting for her, whether it is fighting with her over bearing brothers or trying to get through the Judea, who I will admit, I wanted to slap upside the head twice. As stated, several characters that have their own stories are in this book and Sable gives you just enough backstory so you are not scratching your head trying to figure out who's who. Very well done.

OMG...This is one that stopped me in my tracks. I loved it and I couldn't put it down. Sable Hunter did a fantastic job on this one. It is a wake up call. This one is worth your time and effort. It is a book that will make you re-evaluate your out look on certain medical diagnosis. I encourage everyone to get this one. This one is well written and it brings up topics that usually aren't discussed in romance stories!! Sable Hunter is a great author. When you see her name on a book you know you will get a great story!!!

First let me say that I have read every book in the Hell Yeah! series and I have loved them all. Sable Hunter is an amazing author, she always makes me feel like I know her characters personally, and with each book she makes laugh, cry and swoon. This book was no exception, it deserves more than five stars but that is all it will let me give. Dreamweaver is now my second favorite book in the series, my favorite will always be Her Magic Touch, but this one is running a seriously close second.
This is the story of Pepper McCoy and Judah James, he is a rock star that has a few problems going on in his brain, problems that are real to him, and scary at times. With Pepper and Judah, it is love at first sight but when Judah pushes Pepper away, she refuses to believe what he says, she refuses to believe it is over, after all she is a McCoy.
This book is loaded with passion, romance, drama, suspense, lovable characters and some very unlovable characters. I always love the way that Sable Hunter always brings in characters from her previous books and even introduces her readers to new characters. Five rocking stars for this one, and do yourself a favor, if you love romance and family give this series a chance, I don't think that you will be disappointed!!

*WARNING* for adult readers do to sexual content.
Judah James has been drawn to music his whole life. He plays guitar and sings, so it's surprise that a music label sings him and his band during his college years. The trouble is Judah has a secret.
Pepper McCoy is an English lit major in college, helps anyone, is non-judgement, just about the most easy going lady ever. When Pepper sees Judah across the street, it's instant attraction and she's sure he is the man for her.
Firstly, I thought the parts where Judah and Pepper were long and drawn out with little to no relevant information.
Now for the good stuff....I luv this author used a scary disorder like schizophrenia and didn't demonize it, but made it manageable. I like the thing with Ivana, I do believe things can be pretty cut throat in music industry. I really like the devotion Pepper shows to Judah.

This is the story of Pepper McCoy and Judah James, who meet before he becomes famous.
Sable is never afraid to have her leading characters suffering from various disabilities, and showing her strong female leads overcome them with dignity and strength.
In this romance we have Judah finding out he is suffering from something that he thinks Pepper would not cope with, and starts to push her away. As always the strong emotions and strength shown are tribute to the writing as I loved this book front start to finish. This is a sexy emotion led romance and I enjoyed every minute. This is a must for Sable Hunter fans.

Well done, with a sensitive subject that receives respectful treatment. Pepper is the youngest of the Highland McCoys, and the one who really hasn't found her direction. She meets a handsome young musician named Judah who sparks her libido into hyperactivity. However, the young man has burdens and Pepper finds herself equal to helping them carry those burdens. While this is happening, the family discovers another surprise and gears up for the consequences.

An amazing, informative, deeply touching story

I know informative for a romance is a little but the sensitive topic of Judahs issues, the over view was handled amazingly. I cried, I laughed, I blushed - you'll know where! I'm so glad another branch of the family is around to pick up the McCoy mantle, love this pair of writers, and the world they've created

For The Love Of Music

This is one of the best books written by Sable. She wrote with heart and soul.. All of the characters from her other books were mentioned. How she did it magic! Dreamweaver brings together the love of Penny and Joshua. Sigh! When you finish this book love will fill your heart!

It was a good read. It had a interesting twist to the story line. I had a hard time connecting to the characters but I think that was just me. My dad suffered from the same thing but on a far worse scale so I think that was the problem. Now that doesn't mean it wasn't a good book because it was. It was well written and interesting. It was worth the read. Rated very good

Not the Strongest Series Entry

This story just didn't ring my bell. Pepper's blah, Judah's blah, their problems are blah, the families are butts...no one stood out in a positive way, besides maybe Jimmy, the bandmate, and his interest. Sometimes they don't hit the spot; still love the series!

An amazing love story!!!
Judah and Pepper struggle with a relationship where her family is worried about her being with a musician. Judah struggles with getting songs from trees and inanimate objects talk to him. His secret is found out by the one person he doesn't want in his life who in turns blackmails him. Will he be able to get through this with Pepper's help? Will love be enough?

Typical sable hunter. Rock star with schizophrenia falls in love with a McCoy. Nice story with some angst and a little bit of action. Ps. Sable needs to find a better cover designer.
