Working through this series

Robert Keller's true crime anthologies make for great reading. They cover old and new cases, some popular and well known, both others quite obscure. The cases are well documented and written. I'm almost done with his 20 Murder Most Vile series.

Never disappointed

Once again Mr. Keller has done a great job. And also what I found I enjoyed the most was that only a few of these cases had a read about. So that even made the book so much better. Mr. Keller is an author that makes reading about murder so entertaining in a way, I know I probably shouldn't say that but I know that when I pick up his books nine times out of ten it's going to be a great read. If you find yourself wondering if you should read it, trust me you should and you won't be disappointed..

eesesteA good read.

A well written book (no need for a proof reader, unlike many others by other authors!) featuring interesting cases I've not read about before.

Eighteen excellent murder cases

The cases presented in Volume 15 are all interesting and, yes, shocking. Most of them are horrible enough to give you nightmares.

True crime fans shouldn't miss this one.

Enough to keep you huddled in your bunker

Well, we have children murdering their parents, husbands killing wives and several wive's doing away with husbands. We have strangers as well as friends butchering innocent people. Reading Keller's books, it becomes apparent that just about anybody could, sometimes due to the circumstances of the moment, do anyone else in. I've now read more than a dozen of Keller's books as well as works by other authors in the crime world, and this author certainly stands out. His reportage is excellent, somewhat like reading newspaper reports, but with a little more tenderness for the victims. Keller also posts a picture of the murderer involved at the beginning of each essay. These pictures again suggest that virtually anybody can be vicious. These books are not for the paranoid at heart. You won't want to leave your house!
