Trish is a grad student / scientist with a lot to learn
Jedrian has been on Earth for three months, but Trish is his first glimpse of anything goods or redeeming in either the planet or its people.
It was the miscommunications, each characters' righteous indignation when they hadn't been given 100% honesty, even as they hadn't been offering 100% honesty, and their realizing that sometimes when we try to think about something that really ought to be feelings based decisions feel impossible, that kept me turning the page.
This story is part of a larger series, and while I felt it stood well on its own, I also felt it posed some questions I hope a future story will address.
All in all, a fun, quick read that I put in the "part of why I have Kindle Unlimited" category.

Trish Maxwell is a biology student. Her father actually allows her to visit, which leads to her meeting Jedrian is very unusual circumstances
Jedrian ended up on earth after a crash, he needs to meet a mate before his 22nd year, he is the leader of the Corillion and he and his fellow Corillions need this to survive.
There is romance, steam and misunderstandings, a well written alien romance, Maia Starr is a great writer, I loved the story and cannot wait to read more of her work

really great characters. I love Jedrian, he is one of my most
favorite aliens out of the whole series. I really enjoyed reading

A fast hot read. She's studying to be a scientist, like her father. When finally given a chance to visit her father's lab, she will realize that her father isn't the man she thought he was. He is one of the aliens that takes human woman as mates and are in a war against Earth. So what happens when a young beautiful scientist meets a hot alien male?

Great 👍book. Ms Starr keeps writing some interesting and intriguing stories that make you feel like you're right there in the moment with the characters. I highly recommend this series and all the others she has written to those who love this genre and especially those who are just starting in this genre. You can't find a better story teller than Me Starr

A very interesting and entertaining read. When adoration turn into disgust that what seen to happen to Trish. All she wanted was to prove to her dad that she was just as good or better scientist than he was until she stumbled upon a huge secret her dad was keeping. So if your looking for a enjoyable read where there action, deceit, suspense, and of course steamy romance then you should definitely one click this series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC I haven't been in any way.

A perfect addition to the Corillion series. Shot down and captured, Jedrian is being tortured in a secret government lab. The lead scientist 's daughter stumbles upon the prisoner and is appalled by what she sees. She helps him break out and they are on the run through the woods of the Virginia forest. Along the way secrets come out that threaten them both and test their trust and budding romance. With the first book I hated this race, but they are growing on me. I think this is my favorite so far. Action, romance and intrigue in one stand alone book! I voluntarily reviewed this book as an ARC member.

I have been enjoying this series of sci-fi romances featuring an alien race trying to save their planet. The men need human females and they have been finding ways to kidnap them. In this story, the hunter becomes the hunted. He is captured and has to rely on a human female to rescue him. She has her own secrets and it makes for an interesting story. There is lots of action too which keep the story moving fast. I recommend you read the whole series but you can read it as a standalone too.

Loved this book!!! Maria Starr really knows how to make you see her characters and their lives. Awesome storytelling about an alien race looking forward to finding their mates and what they are willing to do to get them.

Maia Starr has created another great Sci-fi story in the Corillion Mates series. This story takes place on Earth instead of outer space.
Jedrian is one of the leaders in the Corillion world. He came to Earth to rescue one of the high ranking officials and a ship full of captive Earth women. Unfortunately the people of Earth seemed to know he was coming and shot him out of the sky. He is now a prisoner/ experiment by a private lab.
Trisha Maxwell has had a very lonely childhood. She now has a chance to work with her father. She is disappointed when she is not able to work in a lab. Her chance to have a fantastic thesis are crushed. Until she finds Jedrian on the forbidden top floor of the lab.
Will she be brave enough to talk to the alien? Will she help him escape when she realizes what her father is doing? Will they be able to escape to the Cotillion secret hide out? Will Jedrian learn how the Earthlings knew he was coming? I give this story 5 stars. "I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy without pressure to do so".

I enjoyed very much, just wish they would be a little longer. Good story line and good characters. Will be watching for the next book about the Corillion race.
