Not so enjoyable as the rest. It has a tough subject, deals with a few sensitive issues but the characters' behavior doesn't seem to support the story. Anyway, I missed the lot and Hazel managed to steal a smile from me.
I thought this was a great start to a new chapter in the story. I admit that my rating is probably biased by the fact that the 5 months long hiatus made me crave for every small taste of Saga I could get, combined with the fact that I thought the last story arc was pretty bad. But this was funny and emotional, a promising start of what I hope to be a return to classic Saga, both in the quality of the writing. the story and overall enjoyment.
Encuentro francamente ridicula la idea de que yendo a un lugar de abortos no le practiquen una cirugia cuando el feto esta muerto porque esta pasada la fecha. Eso no importa siendo cuestion medica y el bebe ya esta muerto.
Once again, WTF.

I like the pace they are setting. I love saga, everything from the worlds to the characters are Unique and adorable. But sometimes everything moves and changes So fast it is hard to get invested in this very emotional series.
Now that Saga's finally back, we get the first issue of a new arc & it looks like it's gonna be great. It's set in the western part of the galaxy so everything has an Old west feel to it, pretty cool as always.
1. I think this might be my favorite cover. I love Alana’s outfit and the rainbow zebra!!!! 2. Abortion town. 🥺😬😳 3. “Still, if there’s one thing I learned from the unlikely allies we made over the years, it’s that family is about much more than blood.” 4. I love Hazel’s outfit with the back cut out to reveal her wings. 5. How do winged crested wear bras? 6. “I’ll just never understand why war is easy, and peace is so god**** hard.” 7. The dung people what the?! “Microbes in the soil that animate feces, turn it into a gross approximation of whoever shat it out.” 8. What’s up with Alana’s new power thing? “Here’s the thing about miscarriages. They are painful, they are horrific, and they are very, very common. There are no funerals for Those Who Might Have Been, leaving parents to mourn their loss in strange and unexpected ways. But while a miscarriage may feel like the end of the world...it’s actually just the beginning of a new one.”
I absolutely LOVED the Saga series, and that shocking cliffhanger ending in the last volume was a killer. So when I found #43 available for 25c at Amazon, of course I had to buy a copy for my Kindle!
Yikes! What a sequel. I honestly didn't expect things to take such a morbid turn as far as what happened with Alana's pregnancy. So sad and disturbing, and I'm wondering where it's going.
The gang is back and they're on a planet that is under Landfall's jurisdiction, which means that Marko, Hazel and Petrichor have to hide so no one sees their horns. While Alana looks for someone to help with her problem. But when they're attacked by shitty people (LMAO!), something bizarre happens to Alana!
I really enjoyed this new arc. The story continues to be interesting, the artwork is still beautiful, the world bizarre, and I do believe I'm once again addicted.
Oh, and I found the social commentary--about women's bodies, transgender issues, racial tensions--to be very well done, and unfortunately, also too familiar.
No me sentía muy bien y sabia con certeza que saga me ayudaría , Extrañaba muchísimo está historia y como tiene una excelente habilidad para hablar de cualquier tema sin importar lo crudo que pueda llegar a ser.
Just happy after a long break for Saga to be back. This is one of my favorite series out at the moment and this issue does not disappoint. It's a great start off point for people who want to dive right in but also great for the long time readers.
So... I've finally almost accidentally waited for almost a whole trade to be out before reading new Saga comics. Thank god, because coming back after six month with an issue you can read in the blink of an eye would have been awful
Still, I love saga. There is no way I can not love it
Why is this comic so well-written? It wouldn't hurt as much if it weren't so crazy good when it comes to describing people's feelings and struggles in life. Bless Hazel & Petri for being adorable and saving me from drowning in my own tears. Even though she looked badass af on that awesome zebra (someone buy me one!), I just want someone to wrap Alana in a blanket and never let go.
Oh, and I also need that cover as a huge print because of reasons.
"I'll just never understand why war is easy, and peace is so god-damn hard."
After a huge length of time waiting for this new issue, I devoured it as quickly as I could and was once again blown away. I'd love to find this issue in person because it's a special anniversary issue for Image Comics and such a colourful, emotional beginning to the new story arc. I think there was a good balance of storyline and emotional conversation in this one too with about three or four huge points covered. After reading this issue I'm excited about the direction it's heading but I was also really touched by the empowering messages about the character's bodies and the strength of a woman as well. I'll be discussing events in this issue so don't read on if you don't want to be spoiled!
