Insta love PNR. How wonderful. Complete guilty pleasure read.
The first part of the book is very whimsical and OTT with it. The second half had a different feel to it. Still good, but it was weird as I passed into the second half of the book.

In the past, Paranormal has not been my first choice in reading genre. I recently completed another novella by Sarah O'Rourke - One More Night that I absolutely loved and decided to give this paranormal novella a try. I was blown away. It was funny, hot and the characters were so amazing that you forgot that you were reading the impossible. I will be reading even more from Sarah O'Rourke. She has become a "go to" author for me. I plan to convince my daughter to give this one a shot as well as she loves paranormal. If you have the chance, be sure to give Beau and Alexa a read. I assure you it will brighten your day.

Full disclosure here. There have been some really exceptionally emotional books on my reading list lately. I'm not complaining, I've chosen all of them and was fully aware of what I was getting myself into. That doesn't mean that I didn't need a break and Cat Scratch Fever was the perfect, fun distraction.
It's also been a while since I've read a Sarah O'Rourke book and this was a great reminder of what I've been missing. The characters were witty, the smexiness was hot and heavy and the insta romance was kinda sweet. Pretty much every thing I needed to break my overly emotional reading streak ;)

Sarah O'Rourke has delivered a book different from what we're used to read from her. But this story is as equal if not better than what she has written before.
Cat Scratch Fever is enigmatic, passionate and addictive like no other. This shift shifter story will captive and bring your animalistic side to a whole new level. I guarantee you will love it.

I love this story.Lexi is a 21year old human. She has drooled over a man candy of a customer. While Beau has scented his mate in Lexi. He has to find a way to convince her he's a shifter and that they belong together. This book flows well and the characters are well written. My only lament I read it too quickly. Want more please.

First and foremost if insta- love and shape shifting aren't your thing, this isn't the novella for you, if you're on the fence about those two things let this be a good start for you.
The 6 amazing chapters in this book is about Alexa and Beaumonts love story.
Beaus love for Lexie is amazing his strong will to never give up on her or let her go. He shows Lexie unconditional love.
Lexie didn't want to believe in love anymore so the shock of finding a cat in her bed on her 21st birthday she didn't realize her life would be changed.
The only downfall to this book is that it was a novella. Sarah O'Rourke knows how to make things steam up.

When on her 21st birthday Alexa finds a naked panther on her bed, she's worried about her Vera Wang sheets. The panther however turns out to be her favorite hottie customer Beau, who knows she's his mate- and has come to claim her on eve of her maturation.
Hot, short with a great epilogue. I also liked the occasional kitty cat humor!

I loved this story! The chemistry between Beau and Alexa was HOT as hell, especially with his sexy accent, which made Alexa melt (other parts of her melted as well) yet she was still sassy and feisty with Beau, when no one else dared to stand up to him since he's the alpha of his pack (he's a panther shifter) and must admit he likes that his tiny mate has that fiery spirit and attitude ;)
Beau has waited six months for his mate when he FINALLY couldn't wait anymore and the first scene where Alexa sees a huge black cat, beautiful, but still, a freaking huge cat on her bed, shedding on her new bed sheets was hilarious, ha, ha, especially since she had been drinking some delicious fruity sangria with her best friend and at first she thought she was imagining things but when Beau reveals himself, at first naked ;), and then reveals that he's the cat, a panther, she thinks that he's insane and the sangria is really giving her a trip and starts laughing manically, it takes some time for Beau to make Alexa realize that everything she's seen and he's said it's true, well their journey to their HEA is a roller-coaster you want to ride on, no pun intended ;)
Alexa does feel the mating pull but she doesn't know that but Beau does, so there are some steamy moments ;); then there's meeting the pack and Beau's family, there's also a slight ow drama but Beau resolves that fast and swift with his sexy alpha-ness (especially when realizing Alexa is insecure), we FINALLY get the claiming, and what a sexy claiming it was ;)
We also get an awesome epilogue that was still sexy, funny and hot and I loved every moment of reading this story :) <3

You would never guess by reading Cat Scratch Fever that this is the first paranormal book that the duo that is Sarah O'Rourke has written together because it was flawlessly executed! Everything flowed perfectly and I am seriously impressed because it might not seem like paranormal is a tough genre to crack, but it is and they did. It was absolutely fabulous and I positively loved it!
Alexa has a sweet, kind heart, but dang that woman is sassy! She can definitely hold her own against Beau and she doesn't let him get away with anything. Alexa is strong, fierce, wise, and a beautiful soul. She is just wonderful and I completely loved her!
And of course, it goes without saying that I loved Beau! He's everything that I love my heroes to be: an alpha, confident, possessive, protective, and sweet. Beau's possessiveness got my heart racing, but his utter sweetness had me and my heart melting into a puddle. Beau is totally swoon worthy and I know that you will fall just as hard as I did!
Cat Scratch Fever might be a short, fast read, but it is full of life and heart. It is without a doubt worth the time and the buy. It is funny and passionate, and has tons of heart melting, good-sigh worthy moments. 5 SMOOCHES!
While shifter stories aren’t usually my thing, Sarah O’Rourke is an author whose work I always enjoy. I’m also a big fan of smutty, insta-love novellas about obsessed alpha males claiming their women. I dove into Cat Scratch Fever with an open mind and hopeful heart, but I needn’t have worried. I’ve never been disappointed by this talented author twosome, and they didn’t let me down with this one.
A sweet yet very sexy story, Cat Scratch Fever had that spark of Southern flair that is classic Sarah O’Rourke. I adore this author’s sense of humor, it’s quirky and sassy, and it was liberally threaded into the fast-paced plot of this novella. I loved Beau and Alexa, and their first moments together were purrfect. (Sorry, I really couldn’t resist.) Beau was confident and certain, and while Alexa needed a bit of coaxing and a moment to wrap her head around everything, she had faith and she trusted her gut, and her heart, with Beau.
This was a quick read that I devoured it in one sitting. It never felt rushed or under-developed, and this is exactly what I hope for when I’m looking to escape into the pages of a short but smutty story. Full of witty humor, sultry heat and a swoony romance, Sarah O’Rourke's Cat Scratch Fever gets five smooches from me!

The latest novella by Sarah O'Rourke does not lack for comedy. The opening chapters alone made me smile. Alexa's concern for her new sheets rather than the rather big panther lounging on her bed can only be explained by the circumstances surrounding that scene - hint sangria is involved. The focus of the novella is on Alexa and Beau and their relationship. Be warned, this is a lighthearted novella with very little conflict. The world building is minimal as is the developing relationship. That Beau and Alexa are mates is enough for the two of them. I rate this a 3.5 but will give a shiny 4 stars up there. This was an okay read! Not one of my favorite shifter books but definitely not close to the worse I've ever read.
💖Alexa was a goof. Her internal dialog at the beginning had me in hysterics. She is definitely book best friend material. She did get on my nerves a few times with how she took forever to accept she was actually a Panthers mate. But not so bad to the point where I disliked her character.
💙Beaumont was possessive and protective. My perfect book alpha. I really loved that he wasn't a manhore before he met his mate. But, the way he acted when he found out about what April said..... Sexy, pissed off, badass alpha. Mama want!

First off I love all of Sarah’s books. This book was funny, romantic, and more. This book sucked me in right from the beginning and had me laughing. Alexa Davidson finds a pretty kitty, a very large pretty kitty lounging on her bed. But is it a pretty kitty or a panther shifter? Beau felt the internal pull of his mate and followed it to Alexa. She is young and he needs to take his time with her. Will he be able to convince that she is his mate and not losing her mind? This book is a quick short read and it left me wanting so much more. I hope they decide to write more books like this one. Beau is the pack leader for the shifter and now that he has found his mate he will do anything to make sure that she is safe, happy, and loved. Alexa thinks that she is losing her mind at first. After all who wouldn’t if they saw a person shift into a panther right in front of them? This book of course has its bumps but it does have a happy funny ending. I can’t recommend this book enough or their other books.

Cat Scratch Fever is a shifter romance by new-to-me author, Sarah O'Rourke. The story is fast-paced and engaging from the very beginning. There is humor mixed in with the paranormal romantic elements, really making this book a joy to read.
The relationship between human Alexa, and panther shifter, Beau, is instalove. The dialogue between the two is humorous and full of witty banter. Alexa's acceptance of what Beau seems way too easy, as most shifter mate stories do, but O'Rourke really pulled it off with Cat Scratch Fever. This book started a little abruptly for me. There was no lead in to anything but as it went on and I got the background of the two characters it was much better.
Beau is the Alpha jaguar shifter who has found his mate. He has been waiting months to claim her and once her 21st birthday happens his cat refuses to wait any longer. He wants his mate just as much as the cat does but he was trying to slowly let her get to know him. He wasn’t planning on shocking her into everything.
Alexa is quit shocked when she stumbles in on a large jaguar in her bed, shedding everywhere. Little does she know that will be the least of the shocks she would receive that night and in the following days. I liked Alexa because she didn’t just let Beau run her over, she stood up for herself and wasn’t afraid to get sassy with him.
I enjoyed this story once it got started. Kind of wish there was a little more drama but that is just my personal opinion. I will definitely be reading more from these authors.

Loved!
First of all, I'm in love with shifter stories.
They give me that nostalgic feeling of childhood, when you're outside with your siblings or friends pretending to be animals or whatever ..
But now as an adult, I love that they're flipped and made naughty .. I'm more in love with naughty lol
I loved that Sarah used panthers instead of your typical bear or wolf shifter. It made the story so exotic and that much more sexy to me ..
I loved Lexie! Her personality is like a hook. She feels you in, makes you laugh, then makes you fall in love with her .. I can see why Beau was so taken with her ..

Really enjoyed this book. I read a lot of PR and this one grabbed me from page 1. I received an ARC but my review is voluntary. I enjoy a good read and this one was funny and endearing. Imagine finding a panther in your bed on your 21st birthday that turns out to be a gorgeous hunk you've been secretly lusting after at work! The trials and tribulations that Alexa and Beau go thru, OMG!! He is SO patient with her because she's young and he has been around for a while. I am NOT the type of reader that gives spoilers, read someone else's review for that. Just take my word, this is an engaging and fun book to read. Yes, there is sex but these days you are lucky to find a book that doesn't have any in it. If you are like me and love a happy ending this is the story for you.

The story has laughs, secrets, twists & turns, and heartbreak.
This is Alexa and Beau’s super short story. Alexa just turned 21 and spent the night drinking with her friend when she comes home to a panther in her bed. Beau knows that Alexa is his mate now he just has to convince her. The banter back and forth is funny and cute. She does not understand what he wants with her a first and since she has never really been in love she struggles with him loving her. Can he convince her that she is the one and only for him or will she run from the one mate that would love her forever?
I loved these characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I highly recommend this book.

Cat Scratch Fever...So hot
Sarah O'Rourke has done it again and this book will make you laugh and sigh because you will wish you had a love like Lexie has. Can you imagine waking up with a full grown panther in your bed. Hot damn is all I can say. This is a quick fulfilling read. Character development for the main characters is satisfying and you will love their HEA. As always with a book from this author there is lots of humor written into this story. Hearing a sleek panther called a little kitty cat was perfection. This instalove story will take you by surprise as it is so different from her other books.
If you haven't read anything by Sarah O'Rourke this is s good place to start.

Anyone who follows my reviews knows by now that I'm not a big paranormal person. Err reader, not that I'm a vampire or witch or what have you... Moving on, this is one of my favorite types of paranormal - shifters. And the shifters who are uber alpha and once they find their mate, that's it. Which is just what this novella was.
Alexa spends her 21st birthday getting drunk on sangria at her house with a friend. When she is awoken by a panther IN HER BED. And then suddenly there's no panther but uber hot customer Beau, naked in her bed.
Beau has been giving Alexa time to get to know him and him her but his panther can't take it any more. She is his and she will know it by the end of the week.
I hope there will be more to this series, maybe Beau's brother...... ;)

Loved it! It gives the reader enough in this short story to love it and want to know the outcome between Alexa and Beau. A hot panther shifter has found his mate and she is human. Alexa has never felt the love and affection she deserves from her family and past boyfriends but Beau is about to change that. Will Alexa accept what she doesn't understand? Sarah's writing flows in such a short story that you can't put it down. Her characters are strong, caring and passionate. the banter between Sarah's characters is witty and hilarious. Definitely a must read to kill some time.

As you know this is Sarah O'Rourk's first Paranormal story. And what a story was it. I love when authors stay true to what we are used to from them, yet at the same time they give us different.
This Book is about Alexa and her Mate Beau. She has admired home from far. Always loved how good looking he was. There was an instant connection and she didn't know why until Beau's truth is revealed and boy oh boy is it a warper.
I can't wait for you see how Amazingly awesome Beau is as an alpha. You will fall I. Love with him instantly.
This book was a quick but hot and intense read. Loved every second of it. Grab it now ladies.

Fun and cute book. Beau is a panther shifter and he is waiting, in panther form, on his human mate, Alexa’s bed when she gets home from celebrating her 21st birthday. She is so damn funny during this scene, it had me actually laughing out loud. She literally says whatever comes to mind and I loved it. She knew him, because he would come in daily to see her at the coffee shop she worked at. He was trying to wait for her and give her time. But, once she turned 21 her scent changed and the wait was over.
Fun, short and safe read. Little ow drama, but he really handles that crap, no om drama. Older man, younger woman that is a virgin. An epilogue and hea.

Nice Kitty!!!! Wonderful short shifter read! I loved how this story jumped right into things, not with a slow lope but with an all out run! The story is well written and the characters are well defined and quite likable. There is not one slow part in this book and I think readers will like that about it. If there is another one to follow this I can't wait to read it, if not....well I thoroughly enjoyed this one and will re-visit it in the future when I want a quick enjoyable and entertaining read!

I loved this story! This novel was different than this author's previous novels but it was so good. I loved the banter and dialogue in this novel. So good. This novel grabbed me from the first page and did not let me go until the last. I love a novel that leaves me smiling and feeling happy and this novel did not disappoint. I loved the chemistry between the characters. Can't wait to see what this author writes next, but I know I will be wanting to read it.
