In the fourth in the Amy Lane mysteries series, Amy Lane, agoraphobic grey-hat hacker, has been isolated in a private psychiatric hospital, away from friends, associates and every form of connection to the web. Jason, her trusted companion and co-conspirator, is in hiding and on the run. When a fellow hospital patient is mysteriously murdered, Amy and Jason must find a way to join forces to solve the murder and save themselves.

Rosie lives with her journalist husband and her young daughters
This is the best in the Amy Lane series so far and really shows that Rosie Claverton knows what she is talking about when she describes mental illness and how it affects you and those around you. Amy and Jason really develop as characters in this book and there were twists and turns in the plot that I never saw coming. A really good read!
This book is a really good read and very informative about the fear of mental illness. It is the fourth and best in the Amy Lane series as the relationship between Amy and Jason matures and she is beginning to show signs of overcoming her agoraphobia. I like the development of all the characters, even the more minor ones, into rounded and interesting people and the storyline is terrific. A good read!
I was at a slight disadvantage when I started this as I had not read the previous three in the series however putting that aside I really enjoyed the book. The story is strong and you become involved in the characters lives. The author sets out to write mental health issues and does so with skill, I found myself empathising with the people in the clinic. I recommend this book but I also recommend reading the three earlier books first.
The more I read the less I liked this book. There are a lot of references to earlier books in the series and perhaps if I'd read them this book would have made more sense. The plot has some interesting aspects and a few of the characters are interesting but most are superficially cut from templates you'd expect.
This one was a page turner. I am invested in all the main characters. I believe there is one novel left in the series and I will be so sorry when I turn that last page. It is so refreshing to have the main character be a woman with mental health struggles instead of the usual boring tough guy.
Rosie Claverton knows what she’s about. Nail-biting suspense, lovable, real characters and a chillingly realistic insight into life on a mental health ward make this book an amazing read you will not be able to put down.
