They say that behind every great man is a great woman…but what if that woman is a Werewolf?

“Consistent characters, intriguing plots, and just enough twists to keep you on your toes.” Amazon Five-Star Review

North Chicago begins to thrive and a return trip to New York City shows Terry and Char something they didn’t expect.

Terry Henry Walton envisioned the Force de Guerre as a unit to keep evil away from those who wanted to live in peace. Akio is of the same mind, but he sees the whole world as a place that needs the protection that Terry and his people can provide.

On behalf of The Queen Bitch, Akio recruits the FDG to take the fight overseas to stop an army.

“The saga of TH, Char, and the Force de Guerre continues full steam… The characters are real in their interaction with each other. The story is absolutely great. I love the honor, loyalty, and humor projected through the book.” Amazon Five-Star Review

I see my other lives, a career in the Marines, those damn hand-written tests in law school, a business consultant, as if they're stories from a book. I see my books as if I lived there, as if I were friends with the characters. All things we remember are behind us, only those we imagine lie before.

I'm not sure which place I prefer, but I don't have to choose. They live together in my mind. My books have some award nominations, they have bestseller tags across multiple countries. I write about justice, honor, and loyalty because that's what I care about. My stories are mostly set within worlds that haven't been, but could be. We have to be ready for when those times come.

No matter where I went, I always had a book with me. Thanks to 21st Century technology, I now have hundreds of books loaded on my phone and always with me. This breakthrough allows me to binge read my favorites. How many books would I have read on deployments had I not had to have a physical book with me? I paced myself so I wouldn't finish too quickly.

We aren't encumbered like that now. I love the works of Robert Heinlein, Anne McCaffrey, JRR Tolkien, Robert E. Howard, and so many more. I have been compared to Andre Norton and that is humbling - she was an incredible author with a huge list of novels to her credit. With every new book, I aspire to live up to those that you, the readers, have compared me to.

Through a bizarre series of events, I ended up in Fairbanks, Alaska. I never expected to retire to a place where golf courses are only open for four months out of the year. But that's the way it is. It is off the beaten path. My wife and I get to watch the northern lights from our driveway. Our dog has lots of room to run. And temperatures reach fifty below zero. We have from three and a half hours of daylight in the winter to twenty-four hours in the summer.

It's all part of the give and take of life. If we didn't have those extremes, then everyone would live in the sub-arctic.

Generally a good continuation of the story, but the end was a bit non-ending, fish-hookie and that shit gets on my last nerve.

So, one star deduction for making me feel like I was being toyed with non-consensually at the end.

Great book

They just keep get better. I think they are great. I love the characters and how they all are mixing together with the TKG series and how it will lead to off shoots series I think you guys and gals are putting one of the best series of stories together. I love how you have come up with ways to tell us what is going on or what happened around TKG. I still that all of the books would make great movies. All of the series of I have been reading from the beginning of the TKG to THW series And the Alpha books all of the branches of series wrapped around this series. You guys and gals are great for sharing this with all of us humble readers. You certainly can make me laugh, cry, and upset ,even angry on behalf of the characters. I can not wait to see where the series goes.

Keeps getting better

Little did they know that they would have to fight Forsaken across the globe. Read the series and then you will want to read it again. Vampires, Werewolves, a WereTiger and a WereBear are not the scariest creature. Watch out for the grandmother with a wooden spoon.

These books are like a drug you can't get enough.

Every time a new book comes out I set down to read it and I can't stop until I'm done no matter how late it gets ,or how early I have to get up the next day.

Excellent Read

This series has definitely grown on me. I'm really enjoying it. Char and Terry are another one of my favorite couples like Michael and Bethany Anne.

What I really love about the THW books - and Nomad's Justice shows it in spades - is the amount of detail shown, when the FDG go on an action.

The amount, the scope, and the details involved in that planning is amazing and, frankly, an education, too, and the many ways in which a battle might go has me glued to the page, wondering what's going to happen next.

But most of all, I love that the FDG are determined to make sure that the civilians in their care - and, to them, that means everyone on the planet who is determined to bring life back to the world - can go about their lives, safe in the knowledge that there is a force stood between them and danger, determined to keep them as safe as possible, while they concentrate on bringing that civilisation back!

As usual, I had some laugh out loud moments with Nomad's Justice, along with that weird dichotomy I get, when enjoying the battle scenes, while also being horrified at the loss of life while our heroes protect their own. But, even this is a lesson, in that our heroes care for every sparrow fallen, while true evil will revel in the body count!

What I loved most about this book, was the continuity of a story that shows just how deeply honour lies, in the heart of one man, determined that his second chance at life was going to go better than his first had and, in doing so, he is a living example to those who follow him.

The swearing has me in stitches, at times, too! Lol

I haven't mentioned it before, but I also really enjoy reading the Authors' Notes at the end of each story, as it often gives me snippets of details, to the way in which each Author thinks about their writing, while creating each story!

I've been reading since I was three years old, and am sixty as I write this, in March, 2022.

In that time, I've been very fortunate to have read all the great Classics, of both Fiction, Fantasy, and SciFi and, despite the authors themselves calling their work pulp fiction - meaning, of course, the speed, in which books were churned out so rapidly at one time, using the cheapest pulp paper, so the book often didn't survive for long.

But, despite their speed, these Authors have taken the time to create true masterpieces of fiction. They make sure that every detail possible is checked, and checked again, before publishing, and that each book follows on faithfully from the last. This, in a large group of authors, who also check that the continuity of their series, fits in with every other one in the KU!

I really feel that, with the books I've read so far in the Kurtherian Universe series, they truly are the potential Classics of our age.

They have everything the Classics of bygone ages had, and more, and so I really feel that these various series, joined together through one particular thread, will show through time, their worth.

All I know, though, is that all of them are worth adding to my extended collections, to be nurtured, and re-read, many times more, for as long as I'm able to do so!

3.25 stars

I liked this addition, just not as much as the other books in the series. There was less humour here, less stirrings within the civilian community, and less FDG bonding time, and I missed these features. Also the war wasn't as exciting for me as other fight scenes from past books. I think that's because I feel the stakes more when it's the local community directly being threatened or affected by conflict rather than when there's an indirect threat of the Forsaken to the world at large. Last, the repetitive praise for TH as a great leader/colonel/saviour throughout the entire book became somewhat offputting. In fact it started to feel like a cult in the same way that Bethany Anne's people praised her and followed her fanatically in the Kurtherian Gambit series.

Nonetheless TH & Char and their growing family continued to shine, and so did the supporting characters.

We meet my favorite character

This is my second time reading this series and now we arrive at my favorite character of the series, Cordelia. She is only three months old but is already making a huge impact in her father and mother's world!!

Adams becomes an important part of this book and after losing his mate, it is nice to see him have a focus. Akio enlists our group in a couple of quests and though the first is interesting, the second is insanely dangerous and there is a lot of butt kicking but also a lot of people hurt, will they all survive it?
Kiwi thrown into a dangerous situation while trying to help friends. As with the other books, this book is fast paced and full of action. So much going on in North Chicago and the world!

Cutest baby ever

Cory is one of my favorite aspects of this series now. There's so much to love! It's also nice for this socially anxious introvert to see characters with similar backgrounds to myself become strong and bold even with their past trauma. The panic/ anxiety attack Terry had in this or the previous book really hit home for me. They can come for seemingly innocuous reasons and feel debilitating.
I'd also like to add that many authors are now using 1star reviews as fb ads and I've started reading a few series for things like too much profanity and anti-Christian. These reviews are usually hilarious and petty. More power to the authors.

Saving civilization one step at a time

The members of the FDG are becoming increasingly aware of their previous lack of either direction or of the very existence of the concept of honor. They now talk amongst themselves about major changes to their lives since meeting TH Henry.
While the concept of an individual or group deliberately choosing to put themselves between the defenseless and those who will abuse them is a simple one, throughout recorded history the need crops up repeatedly. Then we see the difference between the self centered and those who have a higher standard. Semper Fi, Terry!

And the feces hits the air moving oscillating device

Yes, this book is all about a collective of like minded people trying to rebuild the world after the World's Worst Day Ever. But more than that...It's about love, life, trust, sacrifice, and honor.
You rarely see those five nouns put together to describe a book, unless it happens to a Kutherian Gambit Universe book.
People say that there's too much cursing-in all of the KGU books. Well, i wonder what type of fucking utopia do they reside in, specifically so that i can avoid it.

As fun as the prior 5

I’ve been plowing through these since book one; finding them to be perfect for airplane reading. The writing style, action and history mix, and character development has continued to be consistent throughout. While not overly deep or complex, they’re light-hearted and interlaced with humor. I’ve particularly enjoyed the post-EMP setting and curious to better understand whatever happened at the WWDE and just what the history is behind the nanocytes, Werefolk and the Forsaken.

A CM/MA SYFY Novel (NJ) (AKGS) (THWCB - 6)

CM/MA have penned the sixth novel of the Gambit series. In the episode THW and his small army encounter a Forsaken and crew. Akido is contacted to combat the Forsaken. Then they encounter another group who has an underground facility and for the FDG to elimenate the threat from this group they attack, win the battle and blow up the facility. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS

Why, Anne?

My random vent session that has nothing to do with nor should it take away from the greatness that is THW and crew.

I want to choke Anne. That character is frustrating. I'm trying to remember which group she came from. I'm thinking she needs a slight dose of wariness! Who the heck sees sunshine and roses during the rebuilding stages after/during the apocalypse?

Keep it up👍

As usual loved the book, I'm glad that you listened to your Armour friend about the .50 cal. The only complaint I have is the cover art on this book was lacking in my opinion, I thought Terry looked like SHIT, not only did he look out of proportion to Chat but looked like he was half dead and bent.

From beginning to end compelling reading

As with many of these series covering Beth Ann's universe, this one compels one not to put it down until you're done. It is hard to keep a story going when your switching from one location to another. The authors have accomplished this with a fewness and no lost of context.

Business as usual.

Life in North Chicago is settling into a routine. Fix things, feed people, meet the neighbors, everyday stuff for TH Walton and his crew. Routine for them but not boring. This book shows the FDG are warriors who will protect the powerless. Next door or thousands of miles away tyrants are not tolerated.

Good, but not as good as the prior ones

I liked Nomad's Justice, just not as well as the previous ones. Not as much development of TH and Charumati in this one. Still a good story.

Great continuation

Craig Martelle continues to amaze me with the depth of his characters and his blistering pace of publishing. The other thing that I love is that he keeps me guessing, I don't know what is going to happen before out does in his books!

Excellent story of Terry and gang engaging individuals who seek to conquer and in prison others for their own gain. Several battles ensue with Akio joining one. A promise is kept and a family grows. A young one displays incredible talent that will be interesting to see as they grow older.

Another Great Read

One thing I hate about leaving a review is the time it takes before I can start the next book. I'm loving this series more and more. The growth of the characters leave me astounded to the talent of Craig Martelle and Michael Anderle. Enjoy!
