Beautiful Mistake: The Rise And Fall Of The Barnes Brothers
"Blood don't make you family, loyalty does" is a saying that the Barnes Brothers live by. Their troubled childhoods lead them all to the woman who would change their lives forever, Ann Barnes. Her and her brother Ray take the boys in and raise them to be the men they are today but sometimes the past has a way of destroying what's built.
Kayson Barnes, a born leader is focused on taking over his uncle's business and he refuses to let anyone or anything get in his way. When "the one that got away" comes back within his grasp will he be able to handle the stress of keeping her happy along with what comes with being in the game?
Jaako Barnes is in a complacent relationship with his long time girlfriend Krista but his patience for her constant nagging is wearing thin. The only thing he looks forward to is the time he gets to spend with the woman he really loves, his lawyer Yameka. The thought of losing Jaako is not something Krista is willing to do but with the secret she's holding she may not have a choice.
Omari Barnes lives his life day to day, all he wants to do is make money and keep his younger brother Denari out of trouble. Omari is put in an awkward position when he stumbles upon a situation that leaves him stuck knowing that either way he turns he's gonna be betraying one of his brothers. Will he make the right decision?
Denari Barnes is as reckless as they come and he doesn't care about anyone but himself. He gets himself into a sticky situation when he chases after the wrong man's woman. Will his actions interfere with the family business? Or will the family have to handle his?
With lies and deceit at every corner, the journey to the top may prove to be impossible but the question becomes is it worth it?

Good Reading
This was a ride worth taking from the first chapter to the last.I love the chemistry between the characters.The writer takes you aces without being to over the top,and brings you along just enough to keep you hooked.There were a few typos that didn't take away from the story but they came at some critical points.Overall a good read and worthy of waiting for the next installment

Damn I'm sad that it's over
Is kno keep starting these things with this was a good book but it really was ..... Nikki Brown is now on my list of favorites I've read already 4 other series and I will say you're funny as hell I've laughed uncontrollably on the train it's bad but uncontrollable thank you for a dope as story I'm hoping there are other parts of this story bcz I'm ready for it.

Dope read
Nikki Brown this was a good read. Loved the flow of the storyline. I just hope that Kayson gets his stuff together because he really messed up with Jenacia. Danari is a hot mess and needs a reality check. He's going to mess around and be the cause of the Barnes losing it all...Heading to part 2 now!

Good book.....
Denari needs help and they should cut him loose. He is acting like a snake. Jaako deserve better than Krista. I hope him and Yameka work out. Kayson was wrong. Never trust your side piece over your woman. Omari deserve happiness and he won't have it as long as he is trying to keep his brother out of trouble. Good story but a lot going on. It is getting good!

These brothers are something else we got the boss the hothead the quiet storm and the one that messes up even when they ain’t trying to. Krista needs to be dealt with I say Zemia and Jenacia should handle her. Irtiz gonna be a problem hope they don’t sleep on him it could mean disaster for them

Beautiful Mistake
The Barnes Boys all have underlining issues.
Kayson and his BFF finally get to where they need/wanted to be before he lets outside forces interfere.
Poor Omari, it’s tough being his brothers keeper and when betrayal is front and center…. What’s the next move!!
Denari is reckless and bring attention and chaos to them all!
That cliffhanger was something else.

Good drama. Kayson is my fave. Denari and Krista were just dead wrong. Jaako is a sweetheart. Omari was cool. Jenacia should should stick with her boo Kayson. The ending of part one has me antsy🙆

That was good. That damn Denari is reckless. And Krista so damn crazy, selfish and self absorb her karma is coming. I hope nothing but the best for Kayson, Jaako, Jenecia, Zemia and Heaven. Can't wait til book 2.

The character development was decent, I liked the individual plots that all came merged and the insight into each character's motivation. With editing, this would be 5 stars.

The Barnes brothers 😍
Nikki is such a great author and this book was great! The story flowed so good and the deception going on within the family is crazy! I love how all the brothers come from a broken background and get taken in and now are trying to overcome they're flaws from childhood. Kayson & Omari are baee 😍😍, but I know so much drama is gonna come out for the both of them in part two! That cliffhanger tho 🤦🏾♀️, Denari is dead wrong and I can't wait to see what happens to him in the next book. I love Zemia already and I think she's good for Omari. I hope Kayson gets his act together and makes things right too! Great read and I'm excited for book two 💖.

Those Barnes Brothers!
I loved reading this book. Each brother had his own demons that he needed to battle. The story kept my attention the entire time. I kept wanting to see what was going to happen next. Most of the women in this book, Jenacia, Zemia, and Yameka, were strong enough to help the brothers fight their internal battles. I don't know wha to say about Denari. I was hoping that he would get it together at some point, but I guess not. I can't wait for part 2!
