The team is asked to investigate three houses that are haunted. The team has some bad 👎 moments but it all comes to a happy ending 😀.
I would recommend this series and author to 👍 readers of romantic family and friends relationships paranormal fantasy world 🌎 adventure novels 👍🔰. 2024
It seems to me that the ghost hunting by Gulf Coast Paranormal is getting a bit darker and more dangerous with each new volume of their story. The ghosts are getting more “physical” (for lack of a better word) and trying to uncover their activity and put them at rest is getting more risky as a result. In this story, the ghosts are able to play with the dimensions of the building the team is investigating, moving people from one locale to another—a major step up in the risk factor.
In addition, the Gulf Coast Paranormal team is getting more messed up. Perhaps their work is spilling into their relationships (or perhaps people having this many relationship problems is just normal) but the interpersonal problems are growing from book to book adding a different kind of tension to the story. People can do stupid things out of jealousy and we see some of that here. We also see major trust issues that will have a long-term impact on the series.
We also finally get some insight into Cassidy’s relationship with her uncle which somehow connects to Cassidy’s missing (and probably dead) sister. This is a long developing plot line in the series that finally advanced a few more paces.
The mysteries aren’t bad, the buildup is pretty good, the resolutions are pretty quick and lame and leave a lot of unresolved threads. However, it’s the Sierra drama that irritates me the most
I didn't realize this was part of a series until I was already halfway through. Cassidy Wright is a painter who works for a paranormal investigative team. Her sister is missing and she has gotten clues as to what happened to her through her painting. When she touches wet paint she has visions, then she paints.
Midas runs the company and is in a new relationship with Cassidy. He was effected by the death of his cousin and his interaction with his ghost which led him to start the paranormal investigation company. They don't charge so everyone who works for them has other jobs and does this because of their passion or their gifts.
This is a creepy mystery. Told in two time periods, you learn about what happened on Bloodgood Row and who may be haunting the property. The ghosts that are haunting the property seem to be able to pull people back into another dimension and one of the ghosts seems to want Sierra.
This is not a stand alone book and I wish I had read the first ones before I found this so I will be going back. Although this book is short it does draw you in and keep you interested. After I read the first two I'm going to track down the others in this series. I wouldn't say this is a well written book but it is interesting and definitely holds your attention.
About to embark on her third investigation with the GCP team, Cassidy dives into her art and paints a portrait of one of the ghosts haunting what was once known as Bloodgood Row. Sabrina Elizabeth was murdered over 100 years ago, her body never found. The investigation proves to be difficult. Not only is the haunting severe, but teammates Sierra and Josh are at a crossroads in their marriage, and Cassidy feels that Midas is withholding information about her missing sister from her. Each member of the team experiences terrifying events at Bloodgood Row, putting not only the investigation into jeopardy, but also their lives.
This was certainly creepy, but I still maintain that the first book in the series was the creepiest. I enjoyed the pacing of this, as the author alternated the chilling investigative scenes with downtime for the team. What I liked the least was the seeming lack of resolution. The team figured out what was going on and where the bodies were (literally) buried, but it was never revealed if said bodies were exhumed and the building(s) cleared of negative energy.
I would like to give this 3 1/2 stars. Since halfsies aren't allowed, I'll give it a generous 4.
Anyone remember the first chapter stories by master story teller, Stephen King (The Green Mile)? Well, these stories are about that short but don't nearly give you the rush of King's stories. I am positive I am following them more out of boredom for something to read but to be somewhat fair to this author, she does drag you into her next story even if somewhat reluctantly. If she wants to master chapter books then she will need to start digging deeper into her literary skills. I'm just about over Cassidy or half way don't care if she finds her sister or not. Midas? Sure sounds attractive and yet he isn't a full fleshed out human being in my mind. The other characters of this ghost team? I don't care 2 beans about - there just silly people who kind of propel the ghost investigations along. Now, Helen, she might be a real "player" in this story yet but I just don't know if I want to follow this story to its conclusion. If a book leaves me feeling ambivalent, then it's usually my signal to forget about it. YET, there always comes a moment when boredom makes you reach even for the mundane......
The think the second book in this series is still my favorite. However, this third book was a good creepy read set in a series of haunted apartment buildings. I would definitely read the first two books before this one The readers learn more about the characters as well as more about what happened to Cassidy's sister. The dynamics are also changing in the group. I will be continuing on with the series.
This is an awesome paranormal series! I've loved it since the beginning! Now this book ends in a cliff hanger that I just have to dive into. I enjoy the intenseness of these mysteries, but they're not very long, so I can read them in one sitting. I'm going to get into the next book so I can find out what the cliff hanger is all about. Fantastic series!! I will definitely be reading more of this author's series.
I love this series! Each case that the paranormal team takes on is mysterious and as the story unfolds i find myself unable to put the book down. I like the personal stories that take place not only between the investigators but the characters of the hauntings as well. A must read series for fans of paranormal fiction.
This series just keeps getting better! This book actually brook my heart. Sabrina Elizabeth had such a tragic life. My heart just hurt for her tragic events. I kept waiting for the worst to come out with Bear. I'm still not completely convinced that he was going to 'save' her. I suppose Shannon's story was sad, but it was hard to empathize with her.
M to L Bullock has done a great job with this series. Each book is better than the last. You could read them as a stand alone but some of crews stories you would be a bit lost on. Each book is a.new.and different case for the team and they do go very indepth without overloading you with boring details.
This third in the series is a much better book. More of the story was brought to light and there is even a cliff hanger at the end that is promoting me to go for the fourth
Read all three books in a row. Not terrible, though sort of pulpy and cliché. There were times where I thought I might give them 2 stars, but they kept me invested enough to keep going. Nothing heavy or fresh, but decent ghost tales it you’re into that sorta thing.
Though the story was excellent throughout I feel like it didn’t really have a proper ending. I wanted to know what the results of the dog search was & if it helped. Hopefully the next one will fill in the blanks a little
Another fun novelette in the GCP series. AN interesting tale and the use of Cassidy't talent to show backstory is very well done. A little too much soap opera relationship drama that, IMHO, distracts from the flow of the tale. But a fun, quick (very quick) read.
Rushed ending and to much extensive explanation of unimportant things. Many "I" sentences that seemed excessive. Storyline was good. I will read the next book.
To sudden an ending. I like books to include a gentle gradual ending or include an epilogue. I dont mind violence but it must fit within the ĺcontext of the book
book 3 down loving this series again the characters are expanding and the ongoing story about the sister is starting to come out oh what could have happened
