Club Genesis: Chicago #7.5

Craving His Command

Rate this book
After being rescued from a monster posing as a Master, Mercy O’Connor—known as Symoné at Club Genesis—craves the chance to experience true surrender. The only problem is, she’s set her sights on sexy, commanding Sir Justice, who studies her with his dissecting, arousing stare…but never offers to show her his ropes. Worse, Mercy realizes she not only craves his dominance, she yearns for the notoriously aloof Dom’s affection.

If Kellan Graham let himself believe in love at first sight, Symoné would own his heart. After having his life ripped apart, he’s spent years inventing ways to resist simple lust, but each time this beautiful submissive turns her pleading eyes to him, she ignites a complicated conflagration of desire Kellan can’t fight. He keeps his distance…until it becomes clear he’s not the only Dominant who wants her. Determined to guard his soul, Kellan invites her to kneel for him. But once he does, he realizes that falling in love with Symoné is not only a threat to his well-ordered world, it’s inevitable.

I love this series, but this one was a HUGE miss for me. OMG in what universe is it remotely romantic to have a hero whose wife is still alive (was hit by a drunk driver in a vegetative state for the past five years) then add pages and pages of him sitting by her bedside expounding on how she was the love of his life. Going over all their memories and special moments together. Feeding her etc. How the hell am I NOT suppose to feel like the heroine is second best...sigh.

description

If that wasn't bad enough, he wants the heroine but won't sleep with her, but we get a lovely scene of him sleeping with some other chick. Who he treats like a cum depository with no warmth or feelings. He calls her to be ready in ten minutes (this after sitting with his wife and reminiscing) when she opens the door and suggests they talk or take a walk. He yells at her to get naked and on the bed that isn't what they signed a contract for. Then he slaps on a condom and shoves it in. Of course, the other woman is all happy because her husband walked out on her for another woman (?) and I guess she should feel special that this asshole hero gives her the time of day??!!

description

Then, of course, the wife conveniently dies at the end (the first time the heroine even finds out he is married) and the heroine attends the funeral with him. Oy vay...

This is a great quick read that I could not put down. Symone and Sir Justice are great together and the back story was so interesting and intriguing that you just keep rooting for them but don't know how it is going to know how it will turn out. With all the other books in this series which is one of the many reasons why I love this series is Jenna Jacobs brings all of the characters from previous books back and you feel like hey are family. Jenna Jacob has another hit with this book.

Read as part of 1,001 Dark Nights Bundle 10. I was going to DNF this one, but ended up skimming it to the end. This book was not my cup of tea. Too much unnecessary drama. There were also some major plot holes that were never resolved. I did not enjoy this book at all, unfortunately.

This was absolutely god awful!!!!
If I wasn't holding myself back, my scathing review would be longer than the actual novella, that's how much I aggressively hated this. The only thing more powerful than my hate was the incredulous shock I experienced - I could not believe what I was reading. Everything from here will be spoilers:

Nothing is this story, like literally nothing, is remotely sexy or romantic or enjoyable to read. In fact, I think this entire thing is sick and uncomfortable. the FMC's name is literally MERCY. it's M E R C Y!!!! like if that's not a subconscious cry for help i don't know what is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm no expert on the justice system but I'm pretty sure if someone wins a court case where they were being sued for abuse/physical harm, and then proceeds to literally HUNT the plaintiff down IN THE COURT HOUSE and THREATEN DEATH AND MURDER in front of witnesses and an actual judge, I feel like that person would be arrested? But not in this story! for the sake of the ridiculous plot, he was completely ignored while the woman ran and screamed for help.

Immediately after finding the FMC being CHASED DOWN by the guy she SUED FOR ABUSE, the MMC proceeds to order her around and basically has to hold himself back from effing her. And somehow she wants to EF HIM TOO!!!! Mercy, you just lost a court case and your assailant is chasing you into the arms of another creep, why are you into this? where do these issues stem from?

Whenever this abuser broke into the FMC's apartment or found her in public and threatened her, etc, the MMC who is A JUDGE convinced her not to go to the police and instead convinced her to move in with him because she has 'nowhere else to turn to'

The MMC is not your average love interest, let me tell you.
Often it's men in real life that make me sick, but Jenna Jacob has managed to create the first ever MMC to make me well and truly disgusted. I was clutching my pearls, and not in a good way!!!!

the MMC of this story is married to a woman with severe brain damage so she is dying/like in a vegetative state, but he goes on and on about how much he loves her and wants her to come back to him. THEN, he spends the novella rotating between visiting her, visiting this other random woman who he keeps in an apartment and just bangs whenever he feels like it (more on this later), and THEN interacting with the FMC who he is 'falling in love with'. If you've already lost track, that is THREE WOMEN.

The woman he keeps in an apartment????? who is she is?????? why?????? He caught her leaving the home to 'buy groceries' and he said 'your groceries can wait! I'm more important!' then banged her and left. like this was literally written in the story. And we're supposed to want to read more about this guy??????? again, who is this woman, I'm worried about her, why can't she go buy groceries?????????

the MMC has a 23 year old daughter. the FMC is 28. MMC brings FMC to see his dying wife, and the daughter is there, and she says 'dad I just want you to be happy and find love again' ?!?!?!?!?!? (the daughter also knows about the girl locked up in another apartment who still has NO GROCERIES btw). Hannah, your mother is dying in your arms, your creepy middle aged father is with a woman practically your age, and this is all cool with you?????????? this is not cool with me

I originally read this story in the 1001 collection which I picked up because I love Tessa Bailey and will read anything she puts her name on. However, I have learned my lesson and will never ever ever read a 1001 nights collection again, as this single novella has POISONED me and possibly single handedly ruined this sub-genre for me (I say this and realize I am actually reading a sara cate book right now in this exact sub-genre that isn't half bad BUT i digress) and as I sit in my cold office right now, the only thing keeping me warm will be by passion-fueled hate for this novella.

I am metaphorically tearing this e-book in half right now (in my mind I am strong enough to do this)!!!! I am ripping up pages and stomping on them! all this hate is exhausting!

Have you ever gotten really excited when a great book comes along? I have, and this is definitelt one of them. I have been a fan of the Doms of Genesis series since Mika and Julianna in book one. I will say, I’ve never been a huge fan of first person writing, but Jenna Jacob has always done such a fabulous job with it. I am thrilled to bits that this book was done in third person, and I do believe this one ranks up there as one of my all time favorites.

Poor Mercy O’Connor has to deal with seeing Davis Walker a.k.a. Master Kerr, in court. Things just don’t go as planned, and Kerr shows us even more reasons to want to inflict violence. Mercy finds herself running scared, right into the delicious dom, Sir Justice. We know he’s been lusting after Mercy a.k.a Simone’ in the shadows at Genesis, and now he reluctantly protects her, but he can never have her. Or can he? As Kerr escalates, Kellan finds it harder to resist.

I have to say that Jenna has outdone herself this time. The chemistry is electric, and the suspense just keeps building up. Jenna shows us why she’s truly brilliant.

TW: previous abusive Dom
DNF @ chapter 3
Her pussy plumped.
Her tunnel clutched

Aaand, Im out. Ive read my share of “silk wrapped sheaths” and “love tunnels” galore. I can certainly hold out against the most creative of creative writing if the characters are good, but nah. Maybe I’m just getting old, but I can’t deal with cattiness and coy games.

This one was not for me.

I gave this book 4.5 stars!

This book will tug at your heart strings. You have Mercy who was abused by her ex. He was supposed to protect her and let her use her safe word, but he didn't stop. You have Kellan who has his own demons he is fighting. He is trying to figure where his past fits into his future. Mercy wants to get back into the scene and has had her eye on Kellan for awhile. Kellan has noticed Mercy and is trying to figure how he can stay away from her. When he ex shows up and holds Mercy hostage, Kellan he realizes he has more feelings than he was letting on. Can these two figure their relationship out before its to late.

I felt everything Kellan went through with his past. I felt for Mercy and what she endured. I love the secondary characters just as much as the main. The storyline was well written, the words flowed easily and you get to read about one hot alpha male.

This was the first book that I have read from this author but will not be my last. So if you are looking for a good BDSM book, then grab a copy and start reading.

Ok, I'm half satisfied and praying their is a follow up. I was looking forward to Kellan beating the crap out of the little weasel ( Kerr). He really needs to get what's coming to him or help he seriously has been a pain lately. Their is a story there, but for know I'm glad that Kellan and Mercy was able to find their way with the help of his daughter non the less. I'm glad that Club Genesis members are a close net family and they take care of their own. Everyone pitched in to help Mercy and showed her love when they did not know her at all. That's really what family do, they help out without judgement. Once Kellan was able to let his guard down he was able to let Mercy in who intern opened her heart to love and a new family.

OMG!!!!! Just when you think Jenna can't write a better book and then BAM! She slams you up against the wall and shows you. Tears for both Sir Justice and Symoné. We get so emotionally vested into his issue. How can we not? Symoné has no idea what he has hidden. She is just trying to get a handle on her own issues. But being in love with someone makes you too vulnerable so when the truth sort of comes out it can be devastating.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader’s Copy of this book

We are back at one of my favorite fictional places.....Club Genesis!!!!
Mercy O'Conner aka Symoné has been drawn to the beauty of the Dom/sub relationship for a while. She thought that she had found her Master that would teach her the ways of being a good sub. What she actually found was a master manipulator Davis Kerr otherwise known as Master Kerr.
In the last Doms of Genesis book he was kicked out of the club and tried to start his own by poaching members of Genesis, a few of the Masters and their subs went undercover to infiltrate it and actually ended up rescuing a few subs with Symoné being the main one who needed the help after Master Kerr continued to beat her bloody after she had used her safe word.
Now she must deal with Kerr coming threading and stalking her after she filed charges against him, charges that were thrown out.
Master Justice has been watching Symoné since she's been coming to Genesis, watching because he knows if he got close enough to her to do the things he really wanted his heart couldn't take it.
Master Justice is Judge Kellan Graham, after saving Mercy when Davis threatens her in the courthouse he gets closers than he intended.
Symoné knows Master Justice, well she knows of him from Genesis, she has been watching him as much as he has her. She thinks that he is the perfect Master to teach her the right way to connect with the submissive within her, however he refuses to and she can't understand why, After all she just wants a Master of her own.
Symoné is the bratty sub that Master Justice likes, but she is also a threat to his heart and mind.
What happens next is a story of secrets, threats, and love. Will Kerr catch Mercy or will he continue to be one step ahead. Will Kellan give in to his desires? Will Symoné ever find a Master?
I'll never tell, you have to read for yourself. It's worth it I promise!!! I can't wait for the next in this series!!!!

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we get Mercy "Symone" O'Conner's story (we met her in Resisting my Submission) and we get Kellan "Sir Justice" Graham. Mercy has been attracted to Sir Justice since she first laid eyes on him that first night a club genesis. However he has never made a move to do anything with her. So when she goes to court to prosecute Davis Walker a.k.a. Master Kerr she finds out that the original judge had to excuses himself because of prejudice she knows that things will not end well for her. After leaving the courtroom with just a restraining order in her hand Master Kerr finds her she knows if he catches her she is dead. So she runs without knowing straight into the hands of Sir Justice. Can she open up to this man and let him help her or will she want to much to quickly and loose any chance she has with her perfect master?

Kellen has hidden himself away from most of the lifestyle for the past 5 years. Not many people know why only that he seems very private, but most of them are so they don't see anything wrong with that. Kellen doesn't want to open up to anyone because he finds this to be a betrayal of the one woman who was his everything. However there is just something about Mercy that keeps drawing him in. Can he find a way to be with Mercy without all the guilt or will he loose the one woman to open him up and make him live again?

This book is amazing. It really shows us what someone will do for true love. There are many twists and turns in this book that will have you locking the door turning off the phone and sending the kids out till you are done. I want to tell you so much about this book but don't want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I'm a huge fan of Jenna Jacob. BDSM is one of my favorite genres and she does it so well.

After noticing the ongoing looks exchanged between Sir Justice and Symone of Club Genesis in the background story of Resisting My Submission, I was hoping for their story, and Jenna delivered on that.

Kellan Graham, aka Sir Justice, to his core, wants to command Mercy (aka Symone) and every inch of her body, but he has a secret that holds him back. This secret has a hold of his body and soul.

Mercy wants to learn every aspect of kink and to be dominated by Kellan. She had a horrific experience that she still heals from where she was taught so many wrong things about the lifestyle by a dom who played by all the wrong rules. Still recovering, she is still in fear for her life, in need of emotional and physical protection.

Kellan and Mercy are perfect for each other and their chemistry is off the charts. There is even a bit of an age difference, which I've not often read, but it's not obvious, nor does it get in the way of the story. The struggles that our leading characters go through on their own and with each other just creates this unbreakable bond you can feel between them. This is also a bit of a second chance for both of them. Love for Kellan and submission for Mercy. The chance to do things right. There is one big aspect that does not get resolved, but I'm hoping the series continues and readers get some finality with it.

Overall, I give it 4 stars!

So for whatever reason, after reading book 7, "Resisting my Submission" in Jacob's series, there was something about the minor (very minor, as Mercy is only introduced in the last chapters of Resisting) characters of Mercy and Kellen that just had me going, "What is up with those two? Should be interesting?"

And boy was I right!

I bought this book knowing in my gut that it was going to be a nail-biter, and OMG - JENNA JACOB, you have done it again! Kellen's story - OMG. I can't write anything else for fear of spoiling, but it was so amazingly heartstring pulling, tearjerking gut-wrenching, loving story ever! O. M. G. And I thought that Mistress Sammie's story in "Resisting" was a Kleenex needing story! Ms. Jacob may have just outdone herself with Kellen.

Mercy is a sub who was taught by a greedy and not-a-true-Dom a$$hat and has never really known what true submission is. Kellen is a Dom who has been unable to fulfill his greatest desires of domination due to a hidden past (because who doesn't love those stories) and after much resistance on Kellen's part - none whatsoever on Mercy's, as she's been craving his command for a while - and circumstances that put Mercy's life in his hands, they come together and he begins teaching her what it truly means to submit. Tears. Joy. Pain. Love. Come on, this book has it all. Absolutely loved the character of Kellen, who is truly written like a man you'd love to know and love to love. Add a touch of humor and it's a book to CRAVE.

This series needs to be read in order. Mercy and a few of her friends were saved in the last book by a few members of Club Genesis at Master Kerr’s new club. Now her friends and she are members of Genesis. Mercy known as Symone at the club longs to know what true submission feels like under a true Dom’s guidance. The only problem is the Dom she is interested in doesn’t seem to be interested in her. He watches her very intently but never comes and offers to help her. Kellan notices everything Symone does but knows that he can’t ever have her. Kellan known as Sir Justice has his reasons for not approaching Symone. But things change when he realizes that he isn’t the only one interested in Symone. Someone is after Symone and wants to do unspeakable things to her. Kellan realizes that he may not be able to resist Symone anymore. He could lose his heart and soul to Symone very easily. This book is a little different from others in the series. In this one Kellan, Sir Justice is also trying to come to terms with some emotional issues not just Symone. Mercy is in danger and Kellan wants to protect her from the person after her. But protecting her leads him to realize he won’t be able to fight his attraction to her. Can he have her and not tell her his secret? How will she react when she learns his secret? This book has danger, the feels, and so much more. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I love Jenna and all her books.

Score: 8/10
Reread: maybe
Continue the series: yes

I picked up this book as a quick read and nothing else and it did not let me down. I've never read anything in this series before and while I found the writing quite different compared to the usual BDSM club family stories, I still found that fuzzy "we protect our family" vibe.

I loved both Mercy and Kellan. While there were elements that made me tear up, there were elements that made me have the fun of my life. I just kept finding it funny af that he chose Sir Justice as his pseudonym and he is a Judge. It was extremely funny and ironic for me for some reason. Another thing that made me laugh hard af was that at some point Mercy is trying to mark her "territory" in front of Kellan's daughter without knowing who she is. It was so funny for me it just made my day.

For a novella, this was quite an intense story. Mercy is running away from an abusive ex Dom and while she wants Kellan to help and train her, he is trying to protect his heart while also making sure the ex won't hurt her. Without giving too much up, Kellan's heart is split in two and Mercy comes into his life at the perfect moment, he needs to get the courage to move on from his past and Mercy is the perfect person to help him hope for a better future.

I will definitely be reading some other books from this series since Club Genesis gives me the cute, fuzzy feeling of a family.

Craving His Command is a novella in A Doms of Genesis series by Jenna Jacobs.

Mercy O’ Connor hasn’t had much success when it comes to a relationship in the BDSM clubs, but when her latest Master abuses his power, she’s left with more scars than any whip lashing. As she goes to trial against her Master, she seeks comfort from Sir Justice, Kellan Graham. Soon she’s craving more than just his commands…

Kellan Graham has always had strict rules drawn up with subs, but when Mercy turns her doe like eyes his way, he can’t help, but want to teach her the bliss of a Dom/Sub relationship. He knows he should’t want her, but each day it get’s harder and harder to ignore the unspoken pleads.

Wow. The raw emotion that Kellan portrays in Craving His Command was amazing. You couldn’t help, but sympathize with him during the whole story. In addition, I loved that Mercy still went back to the BDSM scene after what happened to her. Even though what happened to her would make any woman hesitant, she showed strength while remaining cautious. This was a quick read and I wish it was longer, but Jenna Jacobs did a fantastic job keeping the reader enticed with the whole story until the very last page.

I highly recommend reading the whole series before jumping into the novellas.

Sparks flew between Mercy and Sir Justice from the first moments Mercy stepped into Genesis after being rescued from Kerr's abuse. Upon her recovery, she was welcomed by the subs at Genesis and treated as part of the family while the Doms without subs approached her for sceneing.

Though this was a novella, Jenna Jacob in no way skimped on the usual hot and sexy she tends to deliver in her writing and for her characters in the Doms of Genesis novels. This book had everything I could have wanted for Mercy and Sir Justice. But it also delivered so much more. For a novella there was so much meat to this story. The topic regarding the age difference between the characters, the subject of loss and, as always, the lessons regarding the lifestyle that are always so eloquently woven in.

I'll never get enough of the Dons of Genesis family and I will continue to devour every book written by Jenna Jacobs.

FAVORITE QUOTES:
His commanding aura made her want to fall at his feet and satisfy him in every way, even more.

He couldn’t resist the minx. He felt like she was trying to steal his soul, test his resolve, and rattle his control.

His touch ignited that heated sexual awakening inside her again. The man was like a walking, talking aphrodisiac.

If I’m not submissive enough, I’ll work harder. I’ll learn anything you want to teach me. If you don’t like my hair, my makeup, my clothes…I’ll change. Just please…give me a chance to show you what’s in my heart.”

“I should spank your ass red for leaving the club alone. You scared twenty years off my life…twenty years I don’t have to spare,” he quietly scolded as he carried her inside. “Please…spank away,” she murmured for his ears only.

“Your safe word is now diamond.”
“Diamond?” Mercy repeated curiously.
“Yes. You constantly blind me with your bright and shimmering light, angel.”

"Like a sinful bar of candy, I aim to unwrap all the sweet submission inside you, let it melt over your tongue, and let you feast on serenity.”

“You’re not here for pleasure, my wicked little angel. You’re here for punishment.”
“Beat me. Bruise me. I don’t care. Just please, Sir…f*ck me when you’re done…please?”

Holy hell!! I just could not put this down. I read it in under 24 hours and of course I just loved it. As a big fan of Jenna Jacob and her books I was super excited to read this short Novella.

I have also previously read Resisting her Sumission in the doms of genesis series. So it was nice to read about characters I had read about from the previous novel.

Mercy is such a strong character. What she has been through because of a bad dom they are all associated with. Its amazing she has survived and still wants to go on and learn in the lifestyle. Kellan or justice is one man she definitely cannot resist and wants him to help her learn the lifestyle.

Kellan what an enigma of a character. He sticks to himself and because of a secret tragedy he avoids becoming involved emotionally with any subs especially Mercy. Even though its the only thing he can think about.

Kerr is what brings Kellan and Mercy together but Kerr is one sadistic bastard that I really wish they could just find and kill for what he continues to put Mercy through. He is definitely the bad guy you love to hate.

Anybody that loves some suspense and of course bdsm should read this and any of Jenna's other novels. You will love them absolutely love them and get hooked just like me.

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

Even though this novella is part of a series it is possible to read it without having read the others. The Doms of Genesis is one of my favorite BDSM series to read. You feel like you're coming home and catching up with everyone with each book Jenna Jacob writes in this series.

Sir Justice (Kellan) has been watching Symone (Mercy) since she started coming to Genesis. It's obvious he has an attraction to her but has yet to do anything about it. Since Mercy is in need to a Dom to educate her and teach her the right ways of submission she's determined Sir Justice.

One of the basic principals of a D/s relationship is communication. Everything is talked openly. There creates a problem when either party isn't completely honest. This is where Kellan and Mercy have a major issue. You think you know someone until you don't.

Their D/s relationship really works though. They call to each other - if you can imagine such a thing. Perfectly suited...if not for this one big secret.

Definitely one to add to your reading list. You won't be disappointed with the amount of playtime nor the story line.

OMG, How have I missed this series? Seriously this was fantastic and so different. Unfortunately, I can’t tell you just how awesome as that would spoil the surprise for you, but I will give you a few little tidbits.

So, I haven’t read the rest in the series and amazingly I wasn’t lost…this can definitely be read as a standalone. That being said, I am anxious to read the rest of the series to learn more about these fantastic characters.

Mercy is trying to fight back against an abusive wanna be Dom, but fate is against her. She is haunted by the torment that she experienced under his control and it is a struggle for her to trust again.

Kellan happens to be in the right place at the right time to protect Mercy, but he has issues of his own and he isn’t able to keep her out of his world….or is he?

I was completely in love with Kellan and Mercy. I loved her spunky nature and the way Kellan was torn between his past and present. Fabulous! Can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

Craving His Command is a super quick, and sexy read about Symone and Sir Justice. Symone knows Master Justice from Club Genesis, and she's been watching him a great deal. She truly believes that he's the perfect Master to teach her the right D/s relationship, but he feels like she would be a threat to his heart, so he keeps turning her down. Now, while the push and pull of angsty goodness is going strong, there's another back story that had the f-bombs dropping loudly in my house, as it kept me on the edge of my seat. Nothing makes a story more heart pounding than secrets, threats, and attempting to keep love at a distance, and while this story is short, those things pack a great punch, which had me ready to cry when there were no more pages left to turn. I LOVE Jenna Jacobs talented writing style, as she is masterful at creating a serious curiosity in me about D/s life, when in the past, I would just get mad as hell at things. So now I'm always waiting impatiently for her next piece of awesome, and I'll just leave everyone with HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDING Craving His Command!

I received a copy of Craving His Command, in exchange for my honest review. I started reading Jenna's books almost one year ago. I have read several within this series but not all. the nice thing about all of her books is they can be read as a stand alone novel. This book was marketed to me as a novella, but its truly not a novella. Novella file sizes are usually 1500 or so, this was much bigger. It's not Jenna's typical full length novel, but its much larger then a novella. I enjoyed the story and the size of it was appropriate to tell the story without feeling like corners were cut.
This is one of the Doms of Genesis books, which is about Dom/Sub relationship. Jenna has such a wy with words that this environment always feels safe, consensual, and controlled. The story introduces us to a character we've meet before, Mercy, who is attempting to stop a horrible Dominant who is abusing his power over submissive. While doing so, she puts her life in jeopardy . Kellan is a judge who happens to be at the right place at the right time. He sees little Mercy and protects her within the courthouse from being hurt by this a-hole Dom. Kellan is attracted to Mercy, but resists her because of his vows he took. Kellan is a honorable man who is put into a terrible position, and Mercy is in such desperate need to know what a true D/s relationship could be like.
This story was hot and steamy, but also emotional. You were drawn into the characters life and wanted to desperately for their to be a way these two could be together.
This book does have a HEA and its truly amazing.

This is the novella story of Sir Justice and Symone of Club Genesis. Kellan Graham, aka Sir Justice, to his core, wants to command Mercy (aka Symone) but there are things, secrets keeping him back from doing so. Mercy had previously been in an abusive relationship with a horrible Master who abused her and made her distrust men but she feels an instant connection with Kellan aka Sir Justice. She is also in fear for her life and doesn’t trust a lot of people but she does trust Kellan.
They are both good characters and I found myself liking them and wanting them to find their HEA together. I was rooting for them all the way. I do want to say, there is a bit of an age difference but that even made the story hotter and showed one character had more experience to speak about, had more struggles. Ms. Jacobs wrote the perfect story with great chemistry and heat and I loved how Kellan and Mercy found their way to each other.

My Rating: 4.5 stars *****

This story centers around Kellan, also known as Sir Justice from previous books, and Mercy who was introduced in the last book as the submissive named Symone.

Mercy had previously been in an abusive relationship with a horrible Master, and find herself reluctant to trust, even though she feels an instant connection with Kellan. She feels herself falling for him, and he feels the same, but has a secret that keeps him from taking her as his.

Both characters were relatable, likable and I was rooting for them for page one. I loved this Novella as much as I've loved all the other books in the great series.

Jenna Jacob knows how to perfectly balance chemistry, plot and emotion in her stories. I highly recommend this read for fans of this series, or anyone looking for a new BDSM series. I can't wait to see what she comes out with next.

We are back at Club Genesis with Master Justice and Symone's story. Master Justice is actually Kellan (a judge) and Symone is actually Mercy, the sub that was harmed by Kerr in the previous books.

Mercy is an independent and sassy woman but craves to submit to a Dom. However, she has never been properly trained to be a submissive and struggles with what is needed for her submissions. Kellan is a dominant who wants to dominate Mercy since he first met her at Club Genesis. However, Kellan is dealing with things from his past that he can't get pass even though he knows that he is very attracted to Mercy and wants so badly to dominate her.

When Mercy is threaten by Kerr, Kellan takes it upon himself to protect Mercy by bringing her into his home. Will both of them give in to their attraction and will Kellan finally brings Mercy into his life as his submissive?

This is such a hot story and it's great to have another Club Genesis book!

I was asked by the author for an honest review.

I enjoyed every minute of this book. I've had a hard time finding good books about BDSM, but I've finally found a great author!

The book chronicles Mercy and her journey to find a true Master and Kellen and his struggle to love again after tragedy struck his wife. The plot was interesting and kept me interested throughout the entire book. Combine that with excellent writing and a realistic, albeit grandiose, story, and it made for an excellent read.

Both Mercy and Kellen felt real to me and were very relatable, although I felt that Mercy's past experiences didn't have as great an impact on the story as they should have. Their journey to come together is sweet and sexy. Kellen is the perfect Dom, providing loving care and guidance.

Overall this book was a pleasure to read. 5 stars.
