Yes, I've written this book and I have nothing else but to give 5 stars to it. What else could you really expect from the author? Mmhmm? In all honesty, I believe this book deserves all the love and appreciation not because I've written it but because it has such a heart touching story with some incredibly flawed yet beautiful people in it. I can't begin to describe how special the experience of writing this book has been for me. I am still so strongly attached to the characters of this book, be it Rehaan, Zynah, and Aariz, that I am finding it hard to detach from them and move on to my next book. I would assume every writer goes through this arduous phase. I am anxiously waiting for the time when y'all will give it a read. Above all, waiting for the time when I will be able to UPLOAD the official cover here. *SIGH* Lots of love, Sara Naveed
I was excited when I discovered that Sara Naveed's new book 'All of My Heart' had come out. It took me a while to get started but I finally started reading it yesterday and finished reading it today.
Rehaan is a photographic artist who is based out of London. In his spare time he drives for Uber because it makes him relaxed and happy. One day when he is driving, he gets a new customer. But when he sees her, he realizes that he knows her - her name is Zynah. Rehaan's thoughts go back to a time eleven years ago when he was living in Lahore with his parents and he was in school. He describes how he met Zynah in school and how it was love at first sight. But Rehaan and Zynah being from different parts of the social spectrum, they didn't talk much but there was an arms-length warmth that they exhibited towards each other. How this changed across time and how they became close friends and and how their relationship evolved, how they lost touch with each other and how they found each other again in London is described in the story. Then the book takes the story forward and describes what happens after Rehaan and Zynah meet again. At one point the narrative shifts from Rehaan's point of view to Zynah's and we get to see the events of the story through both their viewpoints.
I think the whole book can be divided into two parts. The first part which describes the events which happen in Lahore, and the second part which describes the story which happens in London. I loved both the parts. The first part is a beautiful story of friendship and love and the main characters go through emotional highs and lows and upheavals, which readers of romance fiction love. In the second part, the story kicks to a higher gear and it is amazing to read. It asks some very important questions on life, love, family which is very relevant in the South Asian context today, when society is in flux, with modernity trying to pull young people into the future and tradition trying to hold them back. This book depicts beautifully what happens when this emotional struggle takes place inside the hearts of a few individuals and within a few families. There is a huge surprise which is revealed in the second part, which is the core of this struggle, but I can't and I won't tell you anything, not even a whiff - you have to read the story and find it out for yourself.
I loved most of the major characters in the story, especially Rehaan and Zynah. Their characters are beautifully sculpted - beautiful and imperfect and passionate and human. Sara Naveed continues her love affair with the letter 'Z', by naming her heroine Zynah - in her first novel 'Undying Affinity', her heroine is called Zarish. I loved some of the minor characters too. There is one scene in which Rehaan is in bad shape emotionally, and he comes downstairs and his roommate's girlfriend Avantika asks him if he wants some coffee, and then sits with him while they talk and he pours out his heart and she shares her insights on life and love. It is one of the most beautiful scenes in the book and though Avantika comes only in a few scenes, she is one of my favourite characters.
So what do I think about 'All of My Heart' when compared to Sara Naveed's earlier two books, 'Undying Affinity' and 'Our Story Ends Here'? I loved all three in different ways, because they are different kinds of love stories. I will always have a soft corner for 'Our Story Ends Here' because it was the first Sara Naveed book I read. But I loved 'All of My Heart' too. It is a beautiful love story and the second part is so amazing because it makes us contemplate and introspect on the nature of love. There are also beautiful descriptions of London in the book, and it is almost like a guided tour covering the popular and less familiar parts, and they transport the reader to this beautiful city. And the book's cover - isn't that breathtakingly beautiful?
Sara Naveed has sometimes been called the Queen of Pakistani romance fiction and this book shows why. I read the book in one breath and now I can't wait to read her next book.
Have you read 'All of My Heart'? What do you think about it?
All of my heart: i have been dying to get my hands on All of my heart by @sara_naveed (I finally did.), Our very own Pakistani romantic writer. She always make me wonder how can someone explain the most complicated word “Love” so simply but this book is combo of love and reality, like how family and societal pressures can force/bound someone to be in totally fake or un-happy marriage; and at another side who can forget their first love? “I walked away, leaving a piece of myself behind. My heart pulsated wildly and my breathe seemed to stop. What had her smile done to me? “ (Idk but i felt this part asf) This is story of love, Love all the way from Lahore, Pakistan to London, UK. Love of Rehaan’s for Zynah or Love of Zaynah’s for Aariz. This story describes events of Rehaan and Zynah’s life. Rehaan ( MY PERSONAL FAVORITE.❤️) belongs to financially struggling family; His education is dependent on his maternal uncle, But he’s working hard and he’s determined. Zynah belongs to rich and supportive family, Family that treats her like princess. Zynah is cool, Self-interested and a bold girl. Zynah has been befriend with Rehaan while learning driving lessons in Lahore, but she had to leave lahore and move to London for forever. Aariz ( Son of Zynah’s Father’s Friend/Zynah’s husband) belong to rich family and had a awful secret. It’s a story about unforgettable first love and how societal pressures can bound you to heartbreaks and emotional confusion. Rating: 5/5.

Phewww, Finally read all 3 books of Sara Naveed, glad to observe her improved skill towards writing and amazed by her work, in this book(#allofmyheart) Sara has beautifully portrayed various emotions of love,& the way she wrote books I really appreciate it,she explains little little things very well, (our story ends here is my favorite written by her,😍😍😍😍)order #allofmyheart online & enjoy reading the story of zynah and Rehan😍.....good luck guys you should read this one,,,,,go for it👍
Another problematic book by this author. I couldn't decide which character was more rotten; Rehaan, Zynah or Aariz? I guess the first two took the trophy for being most rotten characters. Some things were cute like the fairytale like ending, but some things were really problematic. The culture isn't portrayed properly. I hope this book doesn't misguide anyone.
The story was great. I also really admired the character development in the book. The author did justice to the plot by making the characters pay for their bad deeds and rewarding their good deeds.
The mind-set of parents is very well portrayed in the book. You can actually relate to the things parents say in the book, especially the mothers.
I really loved the way the author touched so many sensitive issues in the society and did justice to them i.e. LGBTQ+ representation, Elite class societies culture and many other family issues. At the same time she also focused on the minute details of their everyday life. For example Zynah liked a particular record store and I just loved the fact that it was made special even though it's a not a very important thing. Some of the major parts of the book took place there.
I wouldn't have given it four stars if the plot weren't handled well but hats off to the author for having solid grip on the story. I really liked the way the author portrayed the fact that the farther you're from your religion, the greater difficulties you have to face and this was evident in Zynah's character.
The only reason I gave it four stars is because the author didn't mention the fact that not all Muslims are as ignorant of their religion as the characters in the book. There should have been a mention from Rehaan's perspective since he was from a middle class family, in the scene where Zynah was urging him to drink tequila. The reason being that if a non-Muslim reads the book then he/she is aware that not all Muslims drink alcohol.
One thing I loved in this book was the amazing structure. I loved the way every chapter was properly titled so that to make it easy for us to follow.
Would highly recommend it if you're looking for a thought-provoking read and a story that has a moral.
All My Heart is a new release by Sara Naveed @saranaveed . I have read her other two books as well and loved them. I love the way Sara portrays the characters and the way she articulates various emotions like Love, Angry and Sorrow in her stories. The characters seems so real... so live...! ❤ So let's begin the review:
The story is about childhood love in first sight wala romance... Rehan fall in love with Zynah when he joined his new school for O levels. They used to exchange looks but were never friends until they were in A levels, when Rehan gave Zynah driving classes. They because good friends but destiny has planned something else, Zynah moved to London with her family. Leaving Rehan back and not contacting him later.
After few years rehan went to London to persue his studies and career in Photography. He met Zynah again and expressed his love for her but Zynah was in love with another guy and got married to Him...
👉 Now here comes the twist...! ;) Araiz was not at all someone like Zynah fantasized about her whole life ... she felt betrayed and also humiliated at the same time.
I don't want to disclose the issue and be a spoiler but the issue is really something very important and affecting so many lives these days.
Anyhow Rehan stood by her like a true friend, he made her realize what life is about and if You want to know what happened to Rehan's Happy ending then Go & Read the book, as I said I don't want to be a Spoiler 😜
I have read all books of Sara Naveed now and i really observe her improvement of writing skills. It's simple, captivating, enthralling and romantic. In this book she has discussed a new phenomenon regaring today's society. She did her best to explain each and everything of character deeds. This is a story about first love and the societal pressures which can bound you to heartbreaks and emotional confusion. How society can pressure to live in the parameters of society. Sara Naveed discuss the issue which lead main character towards depression and state of anxiety due to pressure of society "log kiya kahyngy?" And due to this stste of mind she ignore and pushed away those who tried to rescue her. But in real society its tough to be Zynha and to face society over personal issues. The society consider all your personal issues as its own just to degrade your feelings and belittle at every step.
It's my honest statement that reading Romance wasn't my type of genre at all. I have read two books of Sara Naveed and I have started liking such type of books only because of her books. Before exploring other books of same genre, I will first read third book by Sara as well.
Speaking about this book, then this is the latest book of Sara, our own Pakistani Novelist. It's simple, captivating, enthralling and romantic. Page # 109 of this book is the most amazing Page of this whole book. I re read that page number of times. It was a very mature piece of advise/writing in the book. The whole book gives the good vibes.
Rehan and Zynah, which are the main characters of this book, will steel your heart. Whenever you feel like to read light and simple reads, do pick Sara naveed's books. It will keep you into reading without eating your mind.
So in a day, finished this exciting, lovely book. I bought this book soon after it’s release. The only reason to delay reading it was I knew author Sara Naveed has no book soon to release and that I will miss reading her work. But then I couldn’t delay this anymore. Any new pick use to make me go back to it and finally I gave up! Now to book: I loved it .. enjoyed every bit of it. Rehaan and Zynah story is all about love, friendship, loyalty, ache and relationships. I fell in love with all characters instantly. I even loved character of Avantika, even though her character was too little but the sense she drilled in Rehaan in his moment, made me love her. I even felt a lot for Aariz but also hated him for using Zynah. But then this is how societal pressure leads to decisions one ought to take against their beliefs. I have already fell in love with the quote “whoever you love, love them with all of your heart”
I liked the way she wrote romantic bits and about the drinks and all. Not that I support this for Muslims but for any author of book, who know Muslims families, know that the culture evolves and effect them when they migrate. They want to experience and try out this all. This has become norm. This is evolving and she adopted this all in her writing. I liked the fact she highlighted the matter of Gay and marriages which are done for societal pressure especially with this issue. This is growing concern now and I am glad she picked this issue and handled this so well in her writing ... Especial star to author for doing so much research for London to give the feel of story being based in London. The little headphones 🎧 were too cute .. just like umbrella☂ is undying affinity. Loved it thoroughly.. ♥️♥️ Can’t wait to read another one from her.
'All of My Heart' by Sara Naveed truly deserves a 5 star rating.
This story is so innocent. Lead characters Zynah and Rehaan, both are different but are likeable. The description of the places in this book is appealing and gorgeous.
For me I loved Rehaan's character the most, his character has developed throughout the story very well. He never back off from what he want and as a friend gives a right and true advice. Speaks his heart out. Never hesitate to say sorry if he feels he is wrong or not and give relationship a priority over ego. He was a hard working lad and this trait of his impressed me a alot.
Zynah's character was shown carefree and head-strong from the starting. I liked that a lot. But in the later part she was shown torn between her thoughts and what to do and not to do despite of knowing the truth and her friends advices. She was hoping against hope that everything will turn out alright in the end. Must say in the end how she handled everything was commendable.
The family relations shown in this book were also heart touching. They are so connected. The scene where Rehaan before coming to London talks to his father is so adorable.
I liked the plot of this book. And the writer has written this book so beautifully.
It's my third book from Sara Naveed, and I am glad to admit that I loved all her works. She writes effortlessly and there is a smooth flow in her stories.
All of My Heart is romantic fiction that gets all the ticks on the checklist - Unrequited love - check Love triangle - check Beautiful characters with exotic names - check Heartbreak until climax - check Fulfilled love - check Going through the story, the reader is moving fluidly and consistently along the plot since it flows with ease. A happy ending is always a happy book. I read romance after more than a decade, and was delighted to have picked this one. A light read, with a happy ending.
“Can you ever forget your first love?” asks the blurb. If you analyse, it would be clear that we tend to forget things unless we dwell for long time on the subject, be it love or anything else. Human beings, in the present age emphasise to be social animals, looking for companionships and relationships. Hence, the possibility of forgetting the first love is remote.
The question is relevant in the lives of Zynah and Rehan, two people who are in and out of a relationship. The connection is set in the childhood, but the physical affinity breaks when Zynah has to move to farther waters. Rehaan and Zynah embark on their journeys. Well, we do not know about Zynah, but Rehaan still hopes to complete the journey with Zynah. And he does meet her in a different setup, in a different age. The circumstances are set for a perfect love story with a happy ending. But there is a twist in the story and it takes these two on a ride. Read the book to know more about the twist and the ride!
“All Of My Heart” is a title from Rehaan’s point of view but the book includes both the sides of the story. Written in simple language with a straightforward narration, the book touches upon matters like gay relationships, lives of people in upper class societies etc. A book falling into the romantic genre, it qualifies to be a one - time read; to be read to fill the gap between two heavy reads. This is so, because the book is simple and has nothing off the track. The only time when it challenges the reader is the twist which keeps beating around the bush. Once the secret is out, it does not have much to hold. However, the author has done well in executing the emotions through words. After reading the book, the reader is sure to feel a Bollywood movie experience with lots of melodrama.
Overall, a book to taste, if you like romantic genre.
would rate it lower if i could but damnn what a shit book 💀✋🏼 terrible problematic one dimensional characters. the plot is reaching so hard its downright comedic 🫃🏻
What an amazing writing. I loved the story to the core. It has a very beautiful story line and concept. I m in love with the main character REHAAN. He knows the meaning of true love and he did his best to gain the love. Many beautiful moments n surprise elements. Over all a very heart touching novel.
I really loved to read story of this book. Whole story was sequenced nicely throughout. You wont lose your interest at all at any point or in any situation while reading book. Its story portraits the strength of true love and gives a lesson to be determined till the end, once you decide to achieve someone or something in your life.
This book is my favorite of all the three books written by Sara Naveed. When I started reading it, I kept relating the story with the movie "kabi khushi kabi gham" but as the story unfolded, I could not put the book down. Rehaan, the hero of the story belongs to a lower income family, falls in love with Zynah who acts as his knight in the shining armor. Zynah being an open minded woman, Friendzones him and marries Aariz, a well-settled eye candy she falls in love with at first sight. Only to find out later that he is homosexual. Being the Good Pakistani wife, she sticks with the husband dear only to walk on him getting dirty with his boyfriend. What happens next will remain a mystery to you.
I am done reading your third book All of my heart and I really loved it. The theme, the story and the way you described everything is so unique and interesting. I loved ever bit of it. The way you wrote about the point of view of both characters in part was quite good. Zynah character is amazing, the way she never was aware of the word love and fell in love all of a sudden; The way Rehaan loved Zynah with all of his heart and never thought of any other girl, it's all just jaw-dropping. All the 3 books you have written are the ones I'll take with me on every trip I go. And these three will always be my favourite. ❤ I was never into romance genre when it came to reading novels and watching movies. But your books made me fall in love with the idea of love. Can't wait for more books of yours to come 😄
Sara Naveed is one of those authors that i heard so much about on #bookstagram. I didn't get a chance to read her until i won her latest book 'All of my heart' off a giveaway held by herself. The book features three Muslim characters who are involved in a love triangle in a messed up way. Our heroine 'Zynah' friendzones the hero 'Rehaan' while 'Aarish' manages to whisk her away on her feet. I've been seeing many books now that flaunt words from the author's native tongue even if the book is penned in English. Sara is among one of those authors, and i have mixed feelings about it. The chief thing that i didn't like about the book was the characters behaviour and how it changed upon being a part of the land of 'so called liberalism'. Rehan lectures people on how they should 'accept' Aarish's sexuality and refrain from practicing their religious beliefs because hello 21st century grow up dude. What i felt reading these things was; are you preaching that one should let go of what one's religious beliefs are just to appear liberal ? that one should accept another's homosexuality just because one has become a part of the western world, and forget what one's roots are, what thier religion taught them?' I know and accept that homosexuality is a part of the western world, but it's not a part of the Muslim world, it never will be, so why forget your roots just to appear cool and modern. Apart from that, i liked the ability of the story to flow easily, which made the book un-put-down-able. 3.5 ⭐
Honestly it was a fun read, without getting up from bed I continue reading it... page after page was all I had whole day, else going restroom or eating something I find myself reading this story.
You will fall for Zynah and admire Rehaan. There’s a person Aariz who was husband of Zynah and story goes that how she try to save her marriage on her best but somethings can’t be saved, no matter how hard you try. It was a beautiful book, something different… something new. I was reluctant to read anything else from the author because first two stories sucks but so glad this one Bring fun to my time. I feel myself with Rehaan words and the struggles of Zynah in her life for sake of family and reputation.
The topic author choose was different that how society’s pressure bound you not to even express your feelings... it was her decision of marrying aariz at first place but she didn’t had idea about his real identity... once she came to know nothing changed for her, she accept it and keep living a life full of misery and pain with a person who can’t give her a si foe happiness.
There’s this thing, I hated, which was about the guy, being a gay. I mean first of all being a Muslim, I couldn’t digest such a thing, second it’s wrong. And not just society, but Shariat (islam) called it Haram. We must give the freedom to our women so at-least they can mustard some courage and stand on the ground of fair decision.
There was a thing that how much we need people in our life and we must admire the time we had together, their friendship was so beautiful... Even Rehaan had feelings all along but yet it was just so sweet.
There was progress in characters too, once you’ll read you’ll feel it too. I think author should give some more pages to the ending. But you can’t satisfy every person in the world— though
The third master piece of Saras 📜📜 Book Review 📜📜 All of My Heart is the third masterpiece of Sara Naveed. Both of their marriage became arranged , until the darkest secret hidden in their marriage.. . . Rating : 8/10 💫 Author : @sara_naveed
My first read book of Sara Naveed. I have been wanting to read her since long but didn't find the right time. Finally I did.
Well, this book has a strong message; it deals with love, wanting and desires. It projects homosexuality,as a major theme as the heroine falls in love and marries a man who is a gay. The story surrounds the childhood love of Rehan for Zynah and the troubled marriage of Aariz and Zynah.
The story has been written down aptly, however I felt that Sara lacked story-telling skills at some instances. At times I found her writing cliched and wondered was I reading a script of some Bollywood movie. Anyhow, I certainly didn't hate this book, it was good with a nice moral message. Adding to that, it is for the first time I read a book within 12 hours of reading. Looking forward to read more from Sarah.
It is a love tale of Rehan and Zynah. They both studied together in the same school at Lahore, Pakistan. Rehan’s family is behind the eight ball, as his father was an alcoholic. Rehan’s maternal uncle took care of him and his younger brother’s education. He joined them in an O grade school. On the first day of his school, Rehan met Zynah and yes, it was a love at first sight. Zynah was like a princess to her family, her father was an business man. Rehan tried many ways to get close to Zynah. Finally, on their last year of high school, they both became close friends. Unfortunately, Zynah’s family planned to shift to London. Apparently, they both weren’t touch. After Rehan’s bachelor degree, he got selected in one of the universities at London. God granted another fluky to them. This time Rehan confessed his feelings to Zynah. But she denied it, as she was in love with Araiz and also, she considered Rehan only as her friend. Araiz, chief of a well – known interior design firm where Zynah had been working. Both of their parents arranged for a marriage. Zynah taught her life would be perfect with Araiz. But destiny is a bitch right. It has other plans for them. Her life becomes more darker after this marriage.
Grab this beautiful book to know the mystery.
Review:
I love Sara Naveed’s book very much because her perspective towards love is totally different and sacred. She is the one and only Pakistani writer I admire. I was head over heels with her first two books “undying affinity” and “our story ends here.” In this book she took over a sensitive topic LGBT as a concept. I felt this is not the typical Sara Naveed’s style. Because after reading her first two books, I was expected so much in this book. though It hasn’t disappointed me but it left a void inside me. I appreciate her narrating style in this book. The characters were developed perfectly. Especially, Rehan’s characterization was flawless and beautiful. Love, acceptance, friendship and desire are the centre of the book. I’ll recommend this book to all the romance lovers. Happy reading
Can you really forget your first love? No you can't. You remember your first love because they show you, prove to you, that you can love and be loved, that nothing in this world is deserved except for love, that love is both how you become a person and why. It's memories will always remain in our hearts. As well as for Rehaan, the protagonist of this novel. He is ambitious, hard-working, kind-hearted and deeply in love (one-sided) with his childhood friend Zynah. He is a photographer and drives uber in his spare time because it makes him happy and relaxed. He is hopeful to meet his first love for three years until one day he met Zynah via an uber ride and so many memories rushed to his mind. Zynah on the other hand doesn't feel the same for him. She is an independent girl with a free soul who works as an interior designer in a company. She's in love with another guy Aariz, whom she later married, and has a dark deep shocking secret. (The secret actually blew my mind). I'm actually disappointed by his character and his secret. Mtlb kuch bhi, itna hot banda introduce kra k aisa secret?? Despite of her disturbing married life the bond she shares with Rehaan is special and unique. They share many ups and downs in their friendship but at the end managed to make their way to eachother somehow. Overall the story was so captivating and delightful that i read it in one breath. The characters and their emotions were so beautifully and vividly portrayed. Rehaan's love reminds me a dialogue from a movie dilwale: Ek tarfa pyar ki taqat hi kuch aur hoti hai auron ke rishton ki tarah yeh do logon mein nahi Blbat'ti sirf mera haq hai ispe. Favourite lines: Whoever you love, love them with all of your heart. Sometimes good things happened to bad people and bad things happened to good people. Life is cruel.
