My stepbrother makes me sigh. My stepdad makes me sore. Yeah...I'm a lucky woman...
Sure, the two men in my family never got along. After Sloane's mother died, his stepdad Drake got married to my mother. That marriage didn't last but it made them my family.
So now they're both single. And it's time for me to play.
Which one will I choose? The strong, silent, alpha who makes me feel protected? Or the cocky and dangerous bad boy who focuses on my pleasure?
Why not both?
Who knows. Might be kinda fun. Teasing one. Tempting the other. Crossing into a land of forbidden delights... It's a tantalizing and delicious possibility that comes into the picture with the three of us. But people are gonna be jealous and will try to stop us.
It's a gamble.
If we win, it'll change our lives forever. If not, it'll tear us apart...
Come raise your temperature with this exciting new dark ménage romance - filled with brooding bad boy alpha males and the one woman who can tame them! No cliffhangers, but it's a scorcher with super-steamy scenes of MF, MM, MFM and MMF. Happily Ever After? You know it.
This book needs to be unpublished until proper editing can be performed. I read/review all sorts of books, including ARC/galley copies, and even the majority of books that have come to me in the earlier stages of the publishing process haven't had this many blunders.
It doesn't matter how great the characters are, how spicy the sex is, or how captivating the storyline. If the characters are being called the wrong names throughout the entire book, it is unacceptable for a published title. If I have to stop and go back to figure out whose POV I'm supposed to be reading from so I can decipher just whose name the author meant to use, I cannot enjoy the book. It completely ruins the story for me. And who in the world is Derek? Another name fumble who isn't even a character in the book!
As for the rest of it, it's hard to rate this one. The first few chapters made me roll my eyes so many times. I know it's fiction and I'm fine with completely unrealistic storylines. But do the characters have to brag on themselves for an entire chapter before doing or saying anything? Is this a requirement? I am interested in other titles by this author but I'm now afraid to read them.
I hope this book gets the attention it deserves or is taken off the market until it can because the premise is actually interesting and the sex is extremely entertaining. It's a shame that this book was rushed to publish and the editing (or lack thereof) totally put a damper on my reading experience.
Holy hotness... talk about steam, wow you naughty dirty little whore!!! The relationship between these three were off the charts. We get a lot of naughty sex mf/mmf/mm. Yes it could use some editing but I'm not a stickler for punctuation. If your looking for a dirty quick read this is a good one. Heads up this is not a safe read.
Drake, Sloane and Natalie make one awesome MMF couple. This is one steamy and erotic romance that will get your motor running while at the same time have you running to turn your fans on cuz this is one HOT romance. Natalie doesn’t one just one man, she wants them both! Natalie is the owner of a sex toy company who needs capital to expand her business. She knows two men who can help- one being her ex-stepfather, The Shark of Wall Street” Drake while the other is her stepbrother Sloane and he runs a venture capital firm. All I can say is this is one erotically hot and taboo read. I loved every moment of the twists and turns that came about –and I want to say none of them are blood related. So grab this awesome book and enjoy this fab read!
My rating: 4.5 stars **** "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
Good news first? If you only want a super steamy, smutty book, this one is for you. The sex scenes were INCREDIBLY steamy, so props for that. Only reason for 1 star. The second star? I loved that Natalie was an independent woman who owned her own company and didn't care what anybody thought. More props for that.
Now the bad news. This was such a poorly written book. In EVERY major steamy scene that involved the 3 of them, the author messed up. First Natalie would be doing x with Drake and y with Sloan, then in the next sentence it was x with Sloan and y with Drake. Or, in one sentence an article of clothing would be off, then mysteriously back on in the next sentence. Very poorly written and edited.
This book contains other books as well (huge pet peeve-thinking I'm buying one long book, and actually getting multiple short books), but I couldn't bring myself to read them after this mess. So, this review is only for Woman of the House, not the other ones contained in the purchase.
I absolutely love this book. This was a very interesting taboo book that has all the interesting steamy hot sexy scenes that we love. I absolutely love the writing style that comes with the books that Abby writes. I swear her books get better every time I read them. She has a way of pulling you into the book into the story line and has you feeling what the characters are feeling.I absolutely love the main character in this book. She is strong independent and does not sugar coat anything. She wants something plain and simple and she goes after it with no regard for anyone else.I absolutely love Natalie and Sloane together. I love the banter and relationship in general. These two together are smoking hot. This is a book you must one click. There is romance, suspense, an evil witch that could mess things up and a great ending. But you have to get the book dig in and see what happens. I recommend this and all the books that this author writes. I guarantee you wont be disappointed.
The story wasn't bad, unfortunately the editing was atrocious. So much so that is distracted from the story. Besides the usual grammar & spelling mistakes, there were numerous times that the author mixed up the Hs names. She said Sloane when it was Drake and Drake when it was Sloane, but the worst was calling Drake "Derek" on several occasions. I don't normally nitpick so much but it really detracted from the story. I had to go back several times to figure out who was doing/saying what. I would have given this a solid 3 if it wasn't so hard to follow along because of all the mistakes.
First left me tell you this will set your Kindle on Fire!
This book was super sexy, steamy, and a roller coaster. We get to see betrayal, scandal, hot sex, and love. You know what they say love will prevail.
Natalie is CEO of sex toy company, her ex Step Father Drake is know as the The Shark of Wall Street, and her ex step brother Sloane is the CEO of a Financial Investment company. Natalie need investors to back her company after she received a massive order. She begins to play Drake and Sloane against each other to get the best deal for her company. Along the way Natalie realizes she is in love with Drake and Sloane. Unfortunately Natalie's mother Linda has very different plans, she has every intention of destroying Natalie, Drake, and Sloane. Linda is vile evil witch of woman. I wanted to slap the crap out of her.
No Spoilers from me!
Do you want to know if Linda achieves her goal and destorys Natalie, Drake, and Sloane? Will Natalie be able to in a happy relationship with both Drake and Sloane or just one of them?
This follows the relationship between a stepfather, Drake, and his stepchildren, Sloane and Natalie. All 3 characters are business driven, sexy, and independent. It definitely had more than a few steamy scenes. I mostly enjoyed it. This review is for the main book only, not the bonus books.
I have read quite a few menage romance novels. Woman of the House had a plot that was not too drama filled, however this book had one major issue; name mix ups. If you are going to have a menage, it isn't good to mix the guys names up during the sex scenes. There were at least 5 separate times if not more, that the author done this, even calling Drake, Derek, at one point. If these issues were fixed, my rating would have been higher.
Disappointed. First book I read by this author and the potential this story had were not utilized. The story ended abruptly and the reader is not made aware that there are two separate stories added to the book. The written constantly confuses the two men during the sex scenes. Dark would be doing one "deed" and then Drake again would be joining in to perform another. The following sentence would correct itself with the characters actions. The scenes between both males are described in part by Natalie and at no time are the male characters describing their feelings or lust during these I interactions. This author needs an ARC team to proof read and catch this basic mistakes. Not looking g to read any other books.
I have read several books by the talented Ms. Angel and have enjoyed them all. Unfortunately, this one did not live up to her usual standards. Oh, there is no doubt the scenes between Drake, Natalie and Sloane were off the charts, the typos, inconsistencies and grammatical errors were too great to really enjoy the book too much. I hope whoever does the proofing gets a better handle on what they are doing otherwise I'm afraid readership might drop and I really would hate to see that. As we all know, no one can write steamy, primal scenes like Alexis.
This is a MMF book and let me tell you it is smoking hot! I want to live this book‼️ the story is hot, the sex is even hotter and the villain needs to be shot. The characters have major chemistry and the storyline sucks you in. If I could give this more than 5 stars I would! I gave an honest review in exchange for an advance copy.
but you kept screwing up witch guy she was talking too, she's with Sloan and and half way into a scene and you have DRAKE INSTEAD OF Sloan and DRAKE was not even with them I took notice around the third time it happened I was in chapter 21 but as I said it went on though out the book
This book was Scorching Hot. Natalie, Drake and Sloane were all consenting adults in my book. Everyone has this taboo idea and thinks everything is wrong. In my world I wouldn't care as long as I was happy myself. The chemistry between these three was undeniable and Hot. The scenes in this book will have you hot in no time.
I started this to see guess what a 12 inch D**k yet again and author in story not even going to entertain this one with characters talking to reader last book I will ever read by this author seriously some new writing skills tactics and I don't know Change it up would be nice however I'm so bored I won't even bother
This book was absolutely amazing! I couldn't get enough of it once I started reading it. The storyline was awesome and the characters were great. I would definitely recommend this book.
What a poorly written book. The plot was weak, zero chemistry between this menage, and the word " daddy " was so overused and cringe worthy. Drake was the stepfather who's 35 and he having a menage with his 2 stepkids, what a joke. If the age wasn't given for any of them I would've thought they were all between 18-20.
Alexis really knows how to write naughty stories. This story made the most of what was possible, given the plot. It was sexy, nasty, and exciting. I'd recommend it with warnings.
The first two stories were ménage. The first ménage story was political but a lot of heat. The second ménage story was about three very successful people trying to help one another. The third story was sweet she was a reporter in a magazine he was her new boss.
Woman of the House by Abby Angel was a hot MMF read. I will say that it is very close to the story - Men of the House with the exception of the characters change. Even though I felt like I was re-reading scenes it was a good read.
If you want a steamy read, it's great. Just a little too far fetched for me and to keep calling them all family, when they really are no longer was just weird for me
Natalie, Sloane and Drake were amazingly hot. Thankfully I read it at home, late at night! I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Oh boy. Who doesn't love a good MMF/taboo story? I needed a couple alone moments with this, could have used one if the toys Natalie makes for a living. So you see, Natalie has a little company that she needs her stepbro and stepdad to invest in. Natalie's mom, Drake's ex, is running for mayor and blackmailing them all. Oh she's also Sloane's stepmom, so I guess she's like the wicked stepmother in fairy tales. Wow there are a couple surprises, one big one when Sloane takes her on a date to a place that is very popular ;). This is not a story about a meek and mild innocent girl who doesn't know what she wants. This girl wants her cake AND to eat it. Who wouldn't? Eat it up, girl, because this book is DELICIOUS. I received an arc.
Another great read from Abby Angel. This book is an MMF/taboo book. This is the story of Natalie, Drake and Sloane. Natalie is the owner of a sex toy company looking to the capital to expand her business. She knows two men who can help her get the funds she needs. One is Drake "The Shark of Wall Street" is her ex-stepfather. The other is her stepbrother Sloane who is the CEO of Hard Times a venture capital firm. There is an immediate connection between the three of them but the men have animosity toward the other. Natalie's mother threatens them all when she decides to run for Mayor and they won't do what she wants them to do. These threats bring them together. If you wish to see where this goes from here you will need to read this book. This book has twists, turns, and a little suspense. I absolutely loved this book and definitely recommend it.
Another enjoyable addition to the fast-growing collection of titles from the Angel Clan!, April 11,
I received an Advance Reader Copy for Woman Of The House written by Abby Angel and voluntarily reviewed this book. Natalie Vanderhill needs investors to grow her Dirty Lil' Angel sex toy company, and it just so happens she knows the best people for the job: her stepfather Drake and her stepbrother Sloane, none of them blood related. It's a mini family reunion when Drake and Sloane realize they are both interested in investing in Natalie's company...as well as Natalie herself! Both men compete for her attention, her bed, and the rights to invest in her company, until an unforeseen announcement hits them all from out of the blue, leaving them scrambling to save their own businesses. Will they be able to weather the negative effects caused by all the trouble and attention stirred up against them, or will they end up losing everything they have worked so very hard for, including each other?
