Review:
*I received an ecopy of this book from the author. This has not influenced my review.*

This author has perfect timing because it seems like every time I’ve been in a reading slump, a book in this series would come out, and it would always be just what I needed to capture and keep my attention. This was another great book in a great series, and it wrapped up everything that had been building up throughout all nine books nicely.

Emerson was believable and likeable. Dash was a sweetheart. The romance blossoming between them was cute (though it was only a very tiny part of the story). The plot flowed well. And much like the other books, this one had some emotional scenes (my favorite was the scene between Emerson and Chase), some action-packed scenes, some touching scenes, and a strong sense of family threaded throughout.

To be honest, this wasn’t my favorite in the series, but I didn’t have any major issues. I just felt like this one was a little less intense overall, like a couple things happened a little too easily, and like I never quite connected to Emerson and Dash as much as I connected to Violet, Ryn, Calla, and Chase. But those are mostly personal preferences, and this was still just as well-written as the rest of the books.

Another thing I liked was that Calla had a big part in this book. I like the person she’s become, how she’s grown since her own story, and I liked the relationship between her and Emerson. It can be weird sometimes when a character you got to know in previous books as a protagonist is now a side character, but Rachel Morgan did that really well—with all her characters who were previously POV/main characters. And it was great how they all still stayed in the story, so we did get to see them grow more, even though the focus wasn’t on them.

Another thing I especially liked about the series as a whole was how the author took risks, the kinds of things you don’t see often, at least not in YA books, like an age-gap romance (in Calla’s story) and characters who did bad things but grew and still ended up being likeable in the end. But these risks worked! Or at least they did for me. There were also lots of twists—another thing that can go very wrong—but those worked too!

So overall, this was a gripping series with some great characters, a bit of humor, a lot of magic, some touching moments and relationships, an interesting over-arching plot, and kick-butt faeries!

Recommended For:
Fans of Books 1-8 in Rachel Morgan's Creepy Hollow series. Anyone who likes action-packed YA urban fantasy with faeries, lovable, kickass characters, and just enough emotion to make you feel invested!

Epic ending to an amazing series

I'm crying. Crying over the emotional, satisfying way this book, and series, ended, but also over the fact that it's over.
The entire journey through all 9 books has come full circle, wrapping up the story with excitement, danger, pain, sorrow and the ultimate hea.
I love this book, this entire series, and I highly recommend you give it a shot if you haven't already. Amazing!!!!!!

This was such a great conclusion to this series. My heart is full.
Emerson came such a long way since she first appears in this trilogy. She discovers who she really is, she grows stronger, happier. As for the other characters, I am happy for how things resolve for them. The Epilogue was beautiful!

I DON'T WANT TO SAY GOODBYE TO THESE FAIRIES!!!

I love this series. I stumbled upon it this summer and quickly devoured all right books. I was impatient for the last one to get here. The moment it arrived i read it cover to cover, twice! I feel like I watched these characters (no, not characters, real people) grow up before my very eyes. A beautiful series about family. I'm sorry to see them go. Maybe a new series following Aurora and her dragon??? Just a suggestion. Thank you, Rachel Morgan, for a wonderful, uplifting series of books!!!!

I'm normally not that great with reading last books in series and I have to admit that also in this case it was not easy to get started. However, since I had gotten myself the collection editions and actually wanted to finish the entire collection within the calendar week I just forced myself to get started and to make sure I would finish before the day would end. Luckily it didn't take me very long before I reached the point where I couldn't stop reading anymore.

This book was in every possible way a finale. Everything that had happened in the previous two books, and everything that had happened in the previous two trilogies, was leading to this. All the characters we've gotten to know and gotten to care about made an appearance. All the small fights that have been started are exploding. All the questions that were asked are eventually answered. All the stories left untold are told. (Well, almost all stories...)

What I loved most of all though was how part of the action I was. Due to the writing it really felt like I was there with the heroine, fighting these battles, going through these emotions, experiencing loss and fear and anger and sometimes also little bits of happiness. Despite the fact that she did mess up at times and let her emotions rule her, I really understood what she did, why she was almost forced to cross lines. I really felt with and for her.

I also absolutely loved the politics in this story and the dilemmas our characters were facing. Sometimes being able to do something and knowing that the result of what you're doing is the right thing doesn't make actually doing it the right thing. And yet, I understood the frustration. I do like that the book doesn't radically change everything at once but starts with small changes. I'm certain things will not be easy after this book, but we'll know everyone will eventually get there.

I can't wait to dive into the last two novels in this series!

Wow is all I can say right now ... I literally finished the book a few minutes ago and I came here immediately so I won’t forget anything I want to say.
First of all I LOVED Rebel Faerie! It left me feeling kinda breathless after every chapter although all I did was read but everything was so intense and amazing and addicting from the very first page! That’s also why I managed to finished this almost 400 page book within a bit over 24hrs although I usually consider my reading pace being slow.
Okay, back to the actual review: This book made me cry and laugh and topped all my expectations by being all I’ve ever wanted to come true for the final Creepy Hollow book and more! <3 I seriously couldn’t have wished for a better final installment of my favorite series because it was PERFECT! I also loved the fact that it has a Epilogue which gave me that little bit of extra happiness while reading it haha. All in all, I would give this book a million stars if I could but since 5 is the limit I’ll go with 5 haha :).

This is one of those books where it is physically hard to bring myself to write the book review because it means the series is over. I have enjoyed every single page of this series down to the very last one. Rachel Morgan crafted a world that brought us heroines that don't need saving and a world that needs the brightness they can give.

This series delivers message upon message about friends, family, and loving yourself. All of that wrapped up in a wonderful adventure full of faeries and true love.

This book brought the entire series full circle and we got to see all of the characters we have come to love.

If you are reading this, then you likely have read the other 8 books in the series. If you haven't, go do that. But for those of you that have stuck with our girls for this wild ride, then let me tell you this book is IT. It gives us everything we have been hoping for and twists you don't see coming.

Now that I finished it, I think it is time for a series re-read.

A sweet ending

The creepy hollow series has been one of the best series I have read. Getting to watch the characters grow through different narrators has been an interesting way to see more dimensions

Rebel Faerie, for me, started out slow. I couldn't get into it, but my love of the characters made me push through the first slow pages and I couldn't put it down. Well, there was a point where turned off my kindle and had to breath deep to carry on after a fight scene. It was emotional. Overall, I enjoyed the book and am happy that Creepy Hollow had a happy ending.

This wasn't my favorite of the series, but nonetheless, I am sad to see it end. I loved how all the stories in all three of the trilogies came full circle. These were just really well done YA fantasy novels, with just the right amount of action and romance (and bonus, mostly free of the dreaded love triangle!). A part of me wishes that there were more in this series, but at the same time, I'm really happy with how everything ended.

But, dear god, the swallowing. Dear audiobook editors - please edit those out. What is wrong with you, to let those stay in?

Argh!! I am so sad this is over! Creepy Hollow is on the list of my top 5 series. I postponed reading this last one because I did not want to say goodbye. But reading The City of Wishes made me yearn to see my friends in Creepy Hollow one last time.

I’m seriously hope we are not done with the Creepy Hollow series. Like, this can’t be The End end, right? This final trilogy felt darker, it felt grittier, more magical than the other ones. I also need to mention how quickly I blitzed through the first book in Em’s trilogy.

If you love fantasy, action, and romance wrapped up in an easy read, you certainly can’t go wrong with this series. I LOVED IT!

Amazing! This is the final book in the trilogy of Emerson’s Story. The Creepy Holliw series is made up of three trilogies : Violet’s story is first, Calla’s story starts about 10 years after Violet’s, and Emerson’s takes place about 16 years after Calla’s ends. The characters are connected, but I won’t spoil any details by telling how. Rachel Morgan has created an incredibly distinct Fae Realm, unique to anything I have read before. Although the Seelie and Unseelie Courts play a role, The Guild seems to have a stronger presence. The Guild are the administrative body that governs The Guardians. The Guardians role is to keep law and order in the Fae world while also trying to keep Demons and other nightmares away from the human world. Even the way the Fae live and where the Fae live is so imaginative it adds depth to the story. I have felt totally immersed in the characters and their tales.

Rebel Faerie brings the entire series that starts when we meet Violet, finishing her Guardian training at The Guild, and culminating in learning the importance of Emerson to the entire story. It is kind of bittersweet. At this point, it seems the Creepy Hollow story may be complete - nice to know the outcome, but disappointed that there may be no new tales taking place there. Only time, and Rachel Morgan, will tell! If you are reading this review and you haven’t read the previous books, go ... now ... you won’t be disappointed. Most retailers have the first book, Faerie Guardian, for free. I am positive if you like the Fantasy genre, you will enjoy this story. If you have have read all the previous books, Rebel Faerie is a “must read”!

I am a huge fan of Creepy Hollow and therefore sad to see this series ending with the last book about Emerson. But I must also admit that I failed to connect to Emerson. She's probably the must human behaving faerie of all but that might be the problem. She isn't becoming a super heroine with all good intentions (although she helps saving 2 worlds) but all she really wants is "just" egoistically being a part of a happy family. But well, shouldn't that be enough?
Luckily, Calla is dragging her around a lot and plays the superheroine part well.
I might also miss the arc of Emerson because I read the books as soon as they were out, so I had large breaks inbetween them (although the author delivered quickly within months).
Nevertheless, I enjoyed reading about the faeries of Creepy Hollow, the guild faeries, rebel faeries, seelie & unseelie faeries and shifter pets and hope to maybe see a different part of their world in books to come. It's a fantastic world that Rachel Morgan has created here and there is lots more potential which I hope is going to be use.

Wow! What an amazing end to the Creepy Hollow series. I am so sad it is over, but I couldn't have asked for a better wrap-up. And not just this book, but the whole, final trilogy. I absolutely adored Emerson and her story. I really sympathized to her journey. Watching her struggle with the world of magic and the responsibility of all that power, was incredibly compelling. And I loved how all the various pieces from the prior two trilogies wove together in this final book.

Once again, I am in love with another one of Rachel Morgan’s books!

Although this book was spectacular, I didn’t deeply connect to it as I did with other books in the series. I’m not sure if it is due to the fact that I saw more growth of Calla in the book and how she matured instead of Emerson, if it was because Emerson’s power came a little too easily and she didn’t really learn how to use faerie magic, if it wasn’t because of the story being told in many different perspectives, if the climax of the story didn’t have as much battle (the battle came a little easier) and heart break that pulled me in as the others did, or if it was due to the fact I didn’t feel as much of a connection with Dash and Em— at least as much as I did with Rhyn and Vi or Calla and Chase.

Anyway that it was, I still loved this book and think that it was wonderfully written! Everything about this book drew me in to the last minute!

I can by far say that this is one of my favorite series I’ve ever read!

**quick SPOILER starts here**

I thought that Rhyn being over protective of Em at the end when she was with Dash was SO cute! It made me not only excited to be a parent one day but also, the kiss between Dash and Em made me want to experience those deep attraction butterflies during a first-real-kiss at the beginning of a relationship!

I received an ebook copy of this book in return for an honest review.
Emerson teams up with Calla to help her parents and Dash. Problem is, no one knows where the Guild has taken the Griffin Rebels or what is happening to them. Meanwhile Emerson is struggling with having such immense power but not being able to save her loved ones.
This was a really fast, action-packed read and I enjoyed it immensely. The darker side of the Guild is finally revealed to Creepy Hollow and this time the Guild isn't bothering to cover their ways.
I loved seeing favourite characters from previous books in the series. I was more than a little heart-sore since this is the conclusion of the Creepy Hollow series. We're never going to see these characters again! This book was incredibly well-written and the character development was amazing. The series ended beautifully (why did it have to end though? I love this series!) and it was great seeing the characters finally get their happy endings. This is a great read for anyone who enjoys fantasy fiction.

To be honest, I am glad the Creepy Hollow series is over. I enjoyed this one but it started to get very repetitive - especially with the endless going over events in previous books in the series. Em doesn't gain much in wisdom or common sense and continues to make selfish and sometimes stupid decisions. The romance between her and Dash is not as well done or convincing as the romances in Violet's or Calla's story. I listened to the audio book, and the narrator of this novel was not the same as in the other two stories.I am not an expert on US accents, but whatever accent this narrator has it really grated with me. I think I got annoyed with the narrator as much as with certain sections of the story. But Morgan has wrapped up the three stories successfully and I am glad I made it to the end.

I was so excited to get back into Emerson's story and was not disappointed at all! I am just upset that now it is finished, I can't believe this is the last of the Creepy Hollow books.
I was grateful to read the prologue as it helped me to get back into the scene and remember where the story was after finishing book 8. After finding out the truth about Prince Roarke's plans for her and escaping from the Unseelie world, Emerson needs to stop him from going through with his schemes. However no one realises just how far he intends to go. Emerson has to quickly learn to use her her magic and control her griffin ability, as well as learning the truth about her family.
This was such a satisfying end to the series, I will seriously miss the Creepy Hollow world and characters.

I’m not going to lie, I took my time reading this book. Mainly for the fact that I didn’t want the series to end!!! It’s an easy, quick read because the pages have you engaged and all you can think about is how is this going to end or what could possibly go wrong next. I was holding my breath, hoping that none of our beloved characters would die!

I feel like some parts went off without a hitch and certain situations were surprisingly too easy but I guess that’s what one can expect with a Griffin power like Ems. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Regardless, I think the book’s finale was sorted quite nicely and I’ll always wonder what Em and the gang are up to. Can we all agree, though, that Calla is just one badass?

Also, I may have shed a tear at the end but there could have easily been something in my eye...

Knowing this is the last book in the Creepy Hollow series, I tried to delay reading it just so it didn’t have to end. But my need to know what happens next was killing me, and I just had to get stuck in to reading it right away.
And I absolutely loved it (no surprise there!). There was never a dull moment, with every page turned there was always some action/adventure happening to/with these characters. I loved those extra scenes with Calla and how easy they got along with each other, not mention Dash, Chase, Ryn and Vi. I was so happy Em found out who she was.
I loved the suspense and the rollercoaster of emotions that were in this book as well as all the twists that had me on the edge of my seat.
I’m definitely going to miss all these characters and the Creepy Hollow world.

Adventurious!

It became a little flat but it’s probably because It was repetitive hearing about Vi’s story & Calla’s story explaining to everyone or to Em. In order for Em to understand fae’s world or heck, herself, someone always have to re-tell about the each other’s past. It was a TOO EXCESSIVE...extreme about hearing the stories over & over. I got a bit bored. And how about romance? Not a lot. This last one is all packed with adventure and action. I am not truly fond on Em’s gifted ability, tbh. Overall, it wasn’t too awful and it was a great ending of the 9 book series. I dig how things things out!

Great ending to a great series

If you haven’t read any of the books, I highly recommend starting at book 1. Not only will you enjoy reading each trilogy, you’ll love the diversity in each main character & how all the stories tie into each other. I’m sad to see this series end but it was definitely worth it to become immersed in this world & I’ll always be able to reread them. This book was a great ending to the series & wrapped up not only Emerson’s story but Violet & Callas too. Wonderful author & I look forward to seeing what she comes out with in the future!

A little redundant, but I didn't want to stop reading

The thing about these books is that I feel like the characters are consistent throughout. I appreciate that. The only thing is that they continue to go through the same doubting cycle over and over. Emerson continues to dwell on her mistakes until the very end, and Calla continues to fret over Em's power, even after it's pretty much been proven. A little less of that would work for me... Otherwise, a few editing issues (most prevalent in the "heat of the moment" situations, where they are easier to skim over).

This is a good series, with lots of good themes like forgive others and yourself, believe in second chances and that the end not always justifies the means. It is also an example that there are in every group individuals who are good and individuals who are bad.

All that mixed with an interesting world, lovable characters, spectacular magic and a story full of action, darkness, light and intrigue makes for a nice entertaining read. Individually the books are 3 star books, but as a series I am giving it 4 stars.
