A Dragon Mechanic? Unheard of.

Unless you're Magnus Ironside, a metal dragon who just awakened in the modern world and happens to be obsessed with cars and their inner workings. Add in the fact that his mate just walked in to hire him to work at her auto shop, and Magnus is one happy dragon. Now he just has to flex his pecs, show her his huge 'axe', and everything will work out, right? Wrong.

Lindy Dunn doesn't have time for a relationship, not while she's working herself to the bone trying to make ends meet. She doesn't have time to notice the huge muscles or gorgeous, jade-green eyes of the oddly sexy handyman she just hired. No matter that he's seriously good with cars, and fun to be around. With someone sabotaging her dad's shop, it's not the right time to fall into any man's arms, even if it's someone as capable as Magnus.

Magnus knows he can win over Lindy, as long as he doesn't move too fast with talk of dragons and destiny. The heat between them is too blazing to deny. But though Magnus thought he'd left the past far behind him, one big storm is still approaching, bringing a dark figure that threatens to destroy everything the iron dragon holds dear.

Magnus is the Iron dragon and he is in search of his mate! This is book 2 in the Rent-a-Dragon series and it just as good as Steel's story! Magnus can fix anything but when he first meets his woman on the side of the road (flat tire) it wasn't until she has driven off that his dragon says that Lindy is his mate... slow reflects I guess --(lol). Through fate or happenstance, they find each other again and Magnus goes about courting his mate. Both hero and heroine have haunting pasts so their relationship was interesting to read.

I love Terry Bolryder's tall and sexy dragons and even under caregiver's, Aegis' watch, he is getting nicer even though he calls these metal dragons, barbarians!

Waiting on bull-headed, Titus' story. Will he be Titanium?

I wanted to like this book. Dragon Shapeshifter. Mechanic heroine and hero. Good Stuff!

But the writing style just doesn't work for me despite being full of fun fated mated cat nip. The prose is too jumpy and there is too much telling rather than letting characters develop.

Sigh,.

Fun and short

Great fun and short novel. I love these dragon series. Seeing all these dragons find their mates and become better people always gives me so much enjoyment. Magnus and Lindy were fun because Lindy is such an independant person and he is so protective and wants to take care of her. I love the whole Viking background the dragons have and learning more about the shipwreck made me sympathize with them.

3.5-4 stars

This was a pretty good story. I liked Lindy and Magnus and enjoyed seeing them get together.

Lindy is a mechanic and owner of an auto repair shop that used to be her father's. Lindy's lost her mother at an early age and only had her father. When he died recently, Lindy was lonely and made the mistake of getting involved with a man she didn't love and who ended up stealing from her business. Lindy needs a new mechanic to help keep things going and winds up at Rent-a-Dragon, hoping to find temporary help.

Magnus is a Iron dragon that is many centuries (or maybe millennia) old. He and his ship mates (think old Viking types) set out from their home to find mates but a big storm capsized their boat, causing them to get frozen in ice until the Oracle found them and thawed them out. Magnus and his shipmates have been staying with Aegis, Opal & Citrine (from Emerald Dragon from the Awakened Dragons series) while they get acclimated to the modern world and try to find their mates.

Magnus is good at fixing things but is plagued by fears about whether he deserves his new life because he blames himself for him and his friends being capsized and frozen. Nightmares about what happened keep Magnus up at night and he tends to go driving to clear his head. One night, he finds a woman on the side of the road with a flat tire and no jack. He helps her out but she's wary of him. Magnus realizes that she's his mate but not until she's already driving off and he doesn't know how to find her. Magnus is depressed about finding and losing his mate so quickly but fate smiles on him because Lindy shows up at Rent-a-Dragon looking for help and Magnus is just the man/dragon to do it.

Magnus starts working for Lindy and she's not easy to get close to. Lindy was crushed when her father died and hurt by her Ex stealing from her so she's not in a hurry to get involved with someone, especially when it means losing them could cause more hurt. Magnus takes things slow and makes sure Lindy is confident in him and comfortable with him. They're able to start something between them while Magnus helps at the garage and protects her from the guys trying to force her out of business (which ends up being a bit deeper of an issue than expected). With a bit of time and some effort, Magnus is able to get past Lindy's defenses and they end things starting on a well deserved HEA together.

This was a pretty enjoyable story. I liked Lindy...she was a bit resistant to a relationship at first but I could understand why. I was happy that she didn't take too long to allow Magnus in. Magnus was a good guy and did whatever he could to protect Lindy and make her happy. Overall, this was a pretty good story and I liked the characters so I'd recommend it. :)

I liked that this second book in the series didn't follow the exact same formula as the first, Magnus meets his mate by accident, but he only realizes who she is once she is gone, but luckily she hires his services as mechanic/bodyguard and they find again. Lindy is having trouble and needs help, but she is not looking for a relationship, past experiences make it difficult for her to trust, but once Magnus arrives is hard for her to resist him, especially when a new player gets involved and puts them in danger.

Once again the metal dragons show how sweet they can be, even if it's even more difficult for Magnus that is still fighting guilt and other issues from his past, but like with most dragons, his mate will help him get past everything and become a better dragon.

Reviewed at Shifter Haven

Iron is a fun, sexy shifter romance with a dash of danger tossed in as well. I enjoyed Magnus and Lindy’s interactions so much. Yes, he’s a huge, sexy dragon shifter from a long ago era, and she’s a modern day business owner who is a capable mechanic in her own rights… but Magnus’ sometimes bumbling, awkward phrasing, his assumption that his strength and protection is all that Lindy will ever need is somewhat endearing, even if he is wrong. Yet what made this couple so special to me were their flaws, their insecurities – and yes, even dragons have insecurities, especially when you add into the mix a good dose of unnecessary self-blame.

We’ll learn a bit more of the metal dragons’ past, how they set out on this amazing journey looking for mates – and we’ll also run into an enemy that was faced in the first story of this series.

If you love Shifter Romance with characters who show their vulnerabilities as well as their strengths, a likable couple, recurring secondary characters and a really good story then Iron or any story in this series is one you should be picking up. Lindy may be tiny, but she’s strong and stubborn. Magnus may be huge and powerful but he’s also has those moments of feeling far less than capable of protecting his mate or his friends…which makes him rather human. I enjoyed this story very much and would happily recommend it to any Shifter Romance or Paranormal Romance reader.

I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

Magnus and Lindy

Magnus & Lindy both have hurts and nightmares that haunt them. Magnus the iron dragon finding a motorist in need of help late at night. As he feels compelled to help,he quickly realizes that this woman is in need his mate. After he fixed her tire she quickly disappears, presumably never to be seen again. However you know the fates won't be denied. I'll tell you this once I started to read this book I didn't want to put it down.haha gotta to the last hour and a half at 3am and just couldn't go further. Yes you know it finishing this story was the first task of my morning. Happy reading everyone.I recommend ALL of Terry Bolryder's Dragon stories!! Terry will catch your attention from the beginning. The dragons are amazing and lovable and their mates strong and endearing. Great story!!!

Reasonably good.

This is not the greatest shifter series but is reasonably okay. These dragons are newly awakened after being at the bottom of the ocean for many years and are adjusting to modern day and are looking for their mates this is Magnus and Lindy's story both of them have emotional baggage they need to overcome before they can become true mates. Lindy's business is being targeted and she is kidnapped and the dragons find that another evil dragon Mercury has tracked them and is trying to attack them through their mates. Will they eventually get to the bottom of the mystery guess we have to wait for future episodes to find out. I just feel that these books could be much more interesting and exciting they are a little lacking.

Magnus & Lindy

Magnus is one of the 3 crew dragons awakened from a frozen sunken ship into the current world. He is a Iron dragon obsessed about mechanics and cars. We the help of Aegis, the Emerald dragon, he is hired to work at a auto shop. There he meets, Lindy, his fated mate. In this story both main characters have hunted pass. Magnus feels responsible for the sinking of their ship, plunging his friends to the frizing deep sea for centuries before awakened by the Oracle. Linsy was not only devastated by the death of her father but hurt as well by a ex, so she is wary to get involved like Magnus. I love how the H was pacient and try to take things slow. Fantastic and entertaining read. Highly recommended

Magnus it's a dragon who had tremendous guilt of a past, but wanting to find a mate.

Magnus wanted to keep busy. He liked the modern vehicles, wanted go know everything about them. He kept himself busy with them. His crew mate, Liam recently found his mate. Magnus kept having nightmares of there fateful night his crew went down in the ocean. He went driving after a nightmares to clear his head, only go find a car in the side of the highway. A skittish female human, stubborn and adorable. After he helped change a tire, she was out of there. Giving no name. His dragon whisper, mate! She was gone liked a bat out of hell though. Fate was listening. She made an appointment for help around her mechanic shop, and a body guard. Could once man do the job?

Terry has done a sensational job of writing this book, and connecting us, the readers with her characters. Magnus is such a loveable character, tough and strong outside, but inside he's just this bundle of hurt and brokenness, blaming himself for drowning him and his friends centuries earlier. Lindy is also this tough outside, but inside a soft centred girl, unlucky in love, and in so much pain from losing her Dad. I can't wait to read Titanium and see how Titus' story unfolds.

You can read this series stand alone, but I suggest reading Awakened Dragons first, starting with Onyx Dragon, then move onto this series starting with Steel Dragon.

Even better than the first!
The action is heating up for the metal dragons as Magnus the Iron Dragon goes to work as a mechanic in Lindy's garage. This couple has some issues to overcome on the way to happiness. She is afraid to love after her father's death and he feels responsible for his crew ending up at the bottom of the ocean since he built the ship they were sailing on. There is a rival dragon with some unusual abilities and a long-standing vendetta against the metal dragons that hints at some exciting developments for Titus' book.

Guilt ridden

Our hero has always been the builder of his crew and feels responsible for the shipwreck that trapped them a thousand years. Now he's out helping our heroine save her business and fighting his nightmares. Our heroine is fiesty but clearly suffering from her own insecurities. Fate has brought the two of them together to heal each other and fight back against the evil threatening mankind.

why Damsel in distress???

I should
have started the series with the Gem Dragons so I would know the other characters in this series. The Series is a quick read. The plot is predictable, real plot lacking, woman (mate) too damsel in distress, and sex scenes are okay in an adult book, but it seems 75% of the story is about that. Hate to leave a a series book unread, so going forth and reading Titanium.

Iron

Lindy has taken over her father's repair shop after he passed away.things are hard for her with everything going on, and another repair shop trying to get her to close down. That's why she went to rent-a-Dragon, to find someone to help repair card and be a body guard. When she meets magnum she's met him before when she got a flat on a long road. Can these two work together? Great read. On to the next installment of this series.

Iron packs a Punch

Magnus, the red headed Dragon shifter, loves machinery and when he finds Lindy owner of a mechanic shop, he realizes she's his mate. Great loving, exciting adventure of two people who have pain in their past that they help each other overcome. There's also mystery and suspense as the metal dragons continue their search for mates. The world of shifters comes alive in this alternate world, well worth the read.

Second book of the Rent-a-Dragon!!!Yes!!!

It hurt to see how Magnus blamed himself for the boat that he bulit for him,Liam and Titus to sail to find their mates which ended up at the bottom of the ocean. It was so heroic and living how he saved his mate on more than one occasion. The bond between Liam,Magnus and Titus is so beautiful because they love each other like family, they would be there for each other no matter what happens.

A highly entertaining, paranormal romance that's a definite must read! The unique storyline, complex characters you can't help but love, lots of humor, a bit of suspense, and intriguing twists will pull you in right from the start, and you won't be able to put it down till the end. Another fantastic book in this awesome series!

I highly recommend this book, series, and outstanding author!

Better than the first

I really enjoyed this!
Another tinge of constructive criticism.... at the time of mating, it would be awesome to have a definitive moment. Something that tells the reader that THIS is the precise moment that they're mated.
These stories are INCREDIBLE, though! LOVE IT, LOVE IT!

Tough job

Another good installation in Bolryder's world of dragons. The characters remain enjoyably distinct, even though there have been so many similar situations. The stories may stick to a certain formula, but they are so well written in the details that you totally forget this while you're reading.

Hot Stuff!!!

I really enjoyed getting to know Magnus and Lindy's characters and their histories. Magnus was so very patient with Lindy which seemed to go against his character but then knowing his history made it make sense. I could really relate to the things Lindy had went through, especially her trust issues. Great Read!!!

good little read

a nice quick easy read, pages flowed well and a few unanswered questions from book 1 are revealed although it is just speculation.

two good main characters and I love how like many authors split couples temporarily up; that Terry does not and that's a major plus to me.

onto book 3 now

Entertaining

Fun story with some action and adventure throughout. Shows that there is someone for everyone out there. May be part of a series but it is a self-contained story. Got marked down one for all the He said/ She said in the book.

No one to blame

He thinks he is at fault their ship going down. He find his mate. And finds out who's fault is really his. Being on the ocean floor. Made the dragons realize. They still have to complete their mission.

Makes me want a dragon mechanic

I loved that Magnus was so very human in his heart even though he was a big tough dragon. Lindy had to relearn how to love and be happy. Magnus had his own demons too. It was a good story reading them working it out together.
