Revenge: Lauren Landish has blown me away with this story! The writing was phenomenal and the story line fantastic. I felt Kat's pain, her devastation when more truths are exposed, the love. I didn't care for Jackson, at first, but as the story continues, he grows as the story builds and proves he is just as strong and capable as Kat. The ending to this story couldn't have been any better.
Retaliation: A great follow-up to Revenge. I couldn't wait to see Andrea's story and Lauren Landish does not disappoint one single bit! I liked the introduction of the new players in this book, as well as, the characters from the previous. This is a must read.
Retribution: This final book in the Secrets & Lies series is the perfect finale! Lauren Landish continues to improve & impress with her writing book by book, page by page... and she does not fail to impress one single bit! This is a series you do not want to miss out on!

This is three book set and will give one review for all. "Revenge" is about Katrina wanting to bring Jackson down as a means of getting back at his father for killing her parents. "Retaliation" is the story of Andrea and Carson and "Retribution" is story of Nathan and Melissa. Nathan is head of security for Jackson's father, who is PSYCO. Peter dela Coeur is into everything criminal in NOLA. When the good cops and FBI bring Peter down he is out for blood and deaths of his children. Everyone has to flee and just when think is safe, they find out the worst of the hired killers is looking for all of them.

I love, love, LOVE this set! Not a bad word to say about any of the books here. Each book focuses on a different couple, however they are all linked - be it related or friends. There is lots going on that will keep you turning the pages. All emotions are covered, awesome twists, characters and storyline. This is a set i will be reading over and over again - would certainly recommend it!

The motley family grows like topsy
Starting out with just a rogue woman, the story evolves until there are dedicated couples and about 20 children. On the way you will see strong character development and couples falling in love. Of course there are the required villains and serious threats to happiness, but right triumphs in the end. It’s a set of great stories and you will enjoy all the twists and turns

If u are a fan of the show Revenge then this book is for u. Katrina childhood was stolen when her parents car was blown up. Now seeking revenge she wants Peter DaLaCoeur to pay for what he did. She seeks out Jackson DaLaCoeur her best friend a long time ago and starts her revenge. He is shocked to see her and wants to talk to find out what happened. But what Kay finds out will leave her shocked? Good story, I liked reading about Kat & Jackson and can't wait to read Andrea's story next

Couldn't wait to read what was going to happen next in this series. Andrea is trying to finish school and gets an unexpected visit from her brother Jackson and Katrina and Andrea. They don't bring great news but when Andrea gets a phone call her life changes. When Carson meets Andrea they know they can't stay away from each other. But danger comes knocking on their door and they must join together root stay alive. Love these characters and story just makes you want to read the whole book in 1 sitting to see what happens. Looking forward to the next book in this series

Great conclusion to this series. I couldn't wait to read Nathan's story and wasn't disappointed. With Peter hell bent on getting revenge they are in more danger then ever now that each of them has a contract hit on them and Nathan's past is coming back to haunt him. Melissa has grown so much and has finally told Nathan how she feels but Nathan feels he doesn't deserve her. But one incident has him rethinking and wants nothing more then to love Melissa. Can Nathan finally have the ending he always wanted? Really enjoyed this series and the characters and it ended perfectly

There is a reason why Lauren Landish is one of my favorite authors. She weaves amazing stories that grab you at the cover and keeps you enthralled in the story until you've read the very last page. Revenge has everything you want in a romance story... action, grief, distrust, revenge, justice, some violence, suspense, secrets, mystery, a dysfunctional family, heart-stopping moments, off the chart chemistry, a cocky playboy, a smart, bad-ass woman, and of course... oh so hot sex!

Jackson is an arrogant, cocky, billionaire playboy, and one time best friend of Katrina. But that was long ago...before her life fell apart. Katrina seeks out Jackson and sets him up to fall..hard. That's the least he and his family deserve for what she's been through the last ten years. Only Jackson doesn't understand why he is her target, but he intends to find out. It was great how the characters from the previous book REVENGE were incorporated in this book. I loved the interaction between all of them. THIS BOOK WAS EXCITING AND SUSPENSEFUL ! THE SEX WAS ROUGH, HOT AND KINKY ! GREAT STORYLINE THAT FLOWED ! EXCELLENT READ ! ! !

Peter DeLaCoeur is father to Melissa, Jackson and Andrea...well, I wouldn't call him fatherly, seeing he wants them dead. Over the last few months, Melissa has developed feelings for Nathan, but she finds it hard to express them. Melissa is an artist as well as a sculptor. She also suffers from debilitating panic attacks. Nathan has feelings for Melissa too, but he also knows who he is and the life he's lead. In his past, Nathan worked as an enforcer for Peter DeLaCoeur. Melissa is too good for him, he doesn't deserve her. So he does what he does best.....he protects Melissa and her family. Peter is back wanting revenge and he is using all his resources to get it. Even resources that Nathan is very familiar with. Sweet revenge turns bitter when Jackson hesitates to give up the lifestyle his father has provided. Wow, Katrina and Jackson are hot, sexy characters with many hurdles to overcome before they can make a life together. This book has suspensefuul twists in the plot, and some violence. It is fantastic and I loved it!

Andrea finds out that her evil father wants her back. She will also find out that she has a paternal sister. Andrea and her family will meet her new sister, Melissa, and Melissa's adopted brother Carson. Andrea and Carson quickly develop feelings for one another, but Andrea is kidnapped by an assassin hired by her father. Andrea' story is beautifully written and exciting, I was thrilled when Carson came into her life. They are sizzling hot and sexy, and they overcome obstacles in order to have a life together. Exciting well written story, with suspense, action, some violence, and it is is sexy, hot romance. Fantastic book!

Peter has hired another assassin to eliminate Melissa's family. Nathan has a history with this assassin, she is the sister of the the only woman he ever loved. Working together the family will put their effort into eliminating the threat to their lives. Melissa and Nathan will finally admit their feelings for one another. Melissa and Nathan are a wonderful couple, I loved their story. This is a fantastic conclusion to an exciting and suspenseful series of books!

Revenge (Secrets & Lies #1) - 4 Stars
I was captivated by this book from the beginning and it never lost my interest. It had murder, betrayal, rekindled love and a crazy egomaniac father, so basically all the good stuff to make a romantic suspense. I absolutely adored Kat and Jackson they were complete opposites, but the completed each other.
Kat had been training for years to avenge her family and she starts with her former best friend Jackson, playboy and son of the man who murdered her parents. Jackson in the beginning is nothing but a playboy who lives off daddy's money but once he sees Kat again his life is completely changed.
Lots of stuff goes down once Kat informs Jackson of the truth and I loved how the story unfolded after. I can't wait to see what happens with Jackson's sister Andrea.
Retaliation (Secrets & Lies #2) - 3 Stars
Retaliation is a continuation of Revenge; therefore you must read Revenge to follow the storyline. Revenge focused on Katrina and Jackson's relationship, but now we focus on Andrea's personal life. Andrea is Jackson's half sister and in this book they find they have another half sister named Melissa. Carson is Melissa's adopted brother and when he sees Andrea for the first time there was an instant connection.
Possible spoilers below:
I really wanted to love this book, but there were parts in the book that were confusing and some parts that I just skipped over. I feel the connection between Andrea and Carson was rushed and they went from strangers to I love you in a blink of eye. There was no build up, it basically went from don't hurt my sister she's more important than you to never leave me I need you.
I feel the Peter problem could easily be finished if they all came up with a good plan; but for some reason Peter always manages to escape and is able to wreak havoc on the DeLaCoeur children.
Nathan and Melissa's story is next and hope they manage to finally defeat Peter once and for all.
Retribution (Secrets & Lies #3) - 4 Stars
This was a great conclusion to a wonderful series. Nathan and Melissa finally get their story told, but this time we have to deal with psycho Peter and Nathan's dark past. We get our usual action, adventure, suspense and love that we expect and I loved every second of it.

A fantastic series of books. Love the twists the stories took. Tons of action. I enjoy reading Lauren Landish books they definitely keep you interested and hook you into the story right from the beginning.

A great trilogy….don’t miss this one
I’ve read all three stories in the series and it’s one you don’t want to miss as it’s bundled here together. By the end, I felt like these characters went through so much upheaval in their lives, going so deep into hiding, just to protect themselves from an evil man. Lots of suspense, sexy goodness, and emotion. I’ve included reviews on Revenge, Retaliation, and Retribution:
REVENGE:
Things are not what they seem…5 stars!
I won’t rehash the main plot points of the book, but wow, what a roller coaster ride. Revenge grabbed me from the start and didn’t let go until the end. I’m amazed at the intensity with which Katrina had trained her body and mind to exact her revenge when the time was right. As a heroine, she’s one smart, kick-ass , ninja/hacker vixen. I like the friendship between her and Jackson, at first a bit awkward when they reconnect, but understandably more natural as they become attuned to one another.
Jackson comes across naive, entitled and spoiled. Though when it comes to his old friend Katrina he’s genuinely intrigued. There were parts where he seemed very immature, essentially sounding like a teenager. But it was nice he grew in character along the way of this story. Revenge is a story with interesting characters, suspense and drama, and I did not see that twist coming towards the end. Nicely done. Having said that, the intimate scenes for me didn’t flow well, almost like it was an afterthought. Nevertheless, loved all the secondary characters, especially Andrea and Nathan Black. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Retaliation picks up where Revenge ends. After the arrest of Peter DeLaCour, Andrea, Jackson and Katrina go their separate ways, mostly underground. Nathan Black who was once Peter’s enforcer is feeding false intel to their father in hopes of derailing any clues as to their whereabouts.
With the news about Peter’s downfall broadcast nationally, Melissa Sands’ nightmares are getting worse after she sees Peter on TV. She convinces her adopted brother, Carson, to find Andrea DeLaCour. It’s been a year since Andrea’s disappearance, and while she’s determined to finish her MBA, along the way Andrea lets her guard down. Nathan finds her and so do the Sands. Carson contacts Andrea to explain that Melissa is her half-sister, the product of one of Peter’s affairs.
I don’t want to give away too much, but this story is suspenseful, sexy and intriguing. Great plot line, and I just love Carson and Andrea’s chemistry. I just wished there was more time devoted to them in the story, but given that Peter’s associates are out to kill them, it’s virtually impossible. Yet, they do get some sexy time. Carson finds Andrea’s feisty personality challenging, he’s aware she is the kind of woman who can fill his dark needs. And finally, Andrea recognizes Carson is the dominant man she craves. I loved Andrea’s smart, sassy snarkiness, in reality it’s how she’s hidden the pain over the loss of her mother. She’s determined to get the truth from Peter DeLaCour about her mom’s suicide.
Retaliation is the second book, and the plot gets better and better. You might want to start with the first book, Revenge, to get a better understanding. The continuation is Nathan’s story in Retribution. I find Nathan Black’s character mysterious and intriguing, and I hope he’s got one doozy of a story to tell. I can’t wait.

Retribution is the final book in the Secrets & Lies series, and what a suspenseful conclusion. You might want to read the first two books, Revenge and Retaliation, to fully understand the plot line. Retribution is Nathan Black and Melissa Sand’s story.
Although Melissa and Nathan skirt around their attraction, with Melissa’s extreme shyness and Nathan’s guilt about his past, they eventually pull together for strength in protecting their extended family. With Jackson, Katrina, Carson, Andrea, and baby Andi, they’ve all gone into hiding when they hear that Peter DeLaCour is on the rampage. Peter’s bent on killing anyone who could testify against him, placing him in prison for good. He’s hired a lethal assassin, Isis Bardot, to systematically eliminate the whole family. And Nathan has a history with Isis. This part is mindblowing, and what a twist! Nathan is worried, calling in fire power from his military connections, experts that could ensure the safety of his new found family.
I love how Ms. Landish doesn’t sugar coat Nathan’s past from Special Forces and his time as a mercenary. That dark episode in his life really did a psychological number on Nathan, still reeling from loss of his lover, Aisha, and feeling numb from all the killing. Definitely, the backstory of his past helped to understand Nathan as the man he’s become.
At the start Nathan is conflicted by his attraction to Melissa. To him, she is all light and goodness. His dark soul is tainted by blood and beyond redemption. Can they heal one another and see a future together once they deal with Peter and his assassin? In Nathan, Melissa is able to draw strength, overcoming crushing anxiety and panic attacks. And with Melissa, Nathan finds comfort, peace and a chance at love. Finally his soldier’s heart finds love and contentment. *sigh*
Retribution is sweet, suspenseful, and filled with wonderful characters I learned to love from this whole series. Ms Landish gives us an epilogue that goes into several years where we find Nathan, Melissa, Carson, Andrea, Jackson, and Katrina, and how they’ve grown their families. A wonderful, suspenseful series.

Lauren Landish has published her three books Secrets & Lies series into one fantastic book. The DeLaCoeur family story and those who want revenge are told in these three books, Revenge, Retaliation, and Retribution. While each book has a happy ending and no cliffhangers, you will not want to stop reading until the last page. Well written and suspenseful.

Hands down, without a doubt one of move my favorite series! The storylines had me at first sentence! The intricately detailed plots kept me in its clutches while I fanned myself over the sheer hotness in some of the scenes. Emotional, suspenseful had me on the edge of my seat exciting-- relationships coming and going- so many characters to love, many to dislike, reading about all these bada** taking down the DeLaCoeur family, and starting over GAH! I couldn't get enough! IMO this is a truly 5-star set that I recommend to anyone who likes some dark revenging butt kickers with their romance.

You must read this collection--it contains three of the most suspenseful yet loving stories of a family betrayed by their father and hunted like animals when they tried to break away from his tyrannical ways and become their own persons. It's deep, and dark, yet hopeful.

This is a must read series from Lauren Landish! THe three stories are interconnected and ultimately they have one goal in mind surviving the one after them. Katrina and Jackson connect when she comes after him to get back at his father, Peter DeLaCoeur. What neither counted on the attraction and the fall-out when his father comes gunning for them both. Then there's the story of Jackson's half sister, Andrea and Carson Sands, the adopted brother of another one of DeLaCoeur's children named Melissa. Carson and Andrea's story is a little darker, but so fitting for both of them. And finally we get Melissa and Nathan, a man that had worked for Peter DeLaCouer yet now is working with the ones in Peter's crosshairs to make it out alive. Melissa and Nathan's story is probably my favorite in the series because together they overcome so many hurdles to get a happy ending they deserve. I've already read the first in this series, but unfortunately never got the chance to finish the last two. I had the privilege of receiving an advanced reader copy of the series and I'm excited to share with you my thoughts.
Revenge
After witnessing her parents getting blown up in their car, Katrina has everything planned out for her revenge. She just didn't expect her old best friend to be as in love with her as she was of I'm. He saves her and gets her convinced to take her time on exposing his fathers indiscretions immediately, but they find out more than she'd bargained for and they fight to find the truth. After Jackson says some stupid crap, she gets help to complete her mission and takes down all those she's been after. But will he come around and realize he was wrong and make things right? A must read for sure to find out.
Retaliation
It's so good to see how things with Katrina and Jackson have ended up, and seeing Nathan back in their lives, but when they show up at Andrea's apartment with the news that peter is getting out of jail, my heart dropped to the floor. Luckily, Carson calls while they're all together and gives them the news that they have another sister that'd like to meet them. None of them realizing their lives were about to change once again. The group go to meet Melissa and Carson and instantly have a bond that grows daily. Especially Andrea and Carson, they have this chemistry that everyone can feel and see, but they put it on the back burner because of Melissa. When a Russian hitman attacks, they have their butts handed to them and Andrea is taken. Poor maverick loses his life protecting his family and that alone nearly kills me, but that's not to mention the fact that Nathan is poisoned when he's hit with a throwing knife by the Russian. Will these guys be able to protect themselves and continue their fight against peter? Will Andrea be brought back into the fold alive? All questions you'll have to read to find out, and it's well worth it!

An amazing finale, and just as page-turning and heart stopping as the first two. Melissa finally gets the nerve to tell Nathan how she feels, and while I wanted to beat him, his response is understandable. Not knowing if they'll get another chance, Nathan finally tells her he lives her before leaving to attempt to help Jackson's mom get away from Peter. That's when all hell starts to break loose. Kidnappings, gunfights, sick perverted father, but nothing worse than the thought of any of them not making it out of the showdown alive. This series is a definite must read!

I loved each story in this box set and the way each book ties into each other was perfect. The first story is about Katrina & Jackson and how Katrina's need for revenge on Jackson's father brings them together.
Next is about Andrea and Carson, Andrea is Jackson's half sister and Carson is the adopted brother to Melissa who happens to be half sister to Andrea and half brother to Jackson. The siblings all share the same father, Peter, who is the same man that Katrina wants revenge on.
The third and final book is about Melissa and Nathan, Nathan used to work for Peter as his head of security or mercenary and helped all the above when Peter's wrath was coming down on them.
What I loved most about these books is that the stories entwined perfectly from one book to the other, all the characters were present and not just a line or two on them, you watch each of them grow as couples. Each couple had their own stories but all others were present, helping each other, teaching each other, protecting all as one big huge family against the father who does'nt give up and wants them all dead.
There was suspense, action, lust/love, passion and each book was told from both POV's of the couple that the book was focused on...LOVED IT especially the final epilogue which made me smile wide my cheeks hurt.

This is an amazing well-written 3 full length novels, combined into one novel. I have to admit that I absolutely, thoroughly enjoyed reading all of them.

The story covers Katrina Grammercy (aka Kat) and her thirst for revenge against Peter DeLaCoeur, she starts her revengeful thirst with Peter's son Jackson DeLaCoeur. Now this is where the story really starts to get interesting and kept my attention until the last page was turned. What you will find in this story is a well trained woman with a thirst for revenge (Kat), one of her mentors and a friend (Darcy) who is married to a cop (Jeff), a gangster who is responsible for the death of Kat's Parents (Peter), his son and man-whore (Jackson), Jackson's half sister (Andrea) with motives of her own, a enforcer/hitman (Nathan Black) who works for Peter, drama, suspense, intrigue, vengeance, action, twists and turns, mystery, secrets, a set-up, paparazzi, lust, emotional feelings, love and erotic scenes.
Retaliation:
The continuation of the story from Revenge is smooth and flawless and Retaliation has the introduction of new characters added and and still features previous characters from Revenge. What you will find in this book is: A feisty determined woman (Andrea), a rich caring man (Carson), a abusive father (Peter DeLaCoeur,), drama, suspense, intrigue, action, danger, a father released from prison, an assassin, attractions, secrets, memories, fighting, abduction, a rescue, a set-up, an explosion, hospital, threats, repercussions, lust, Emotional feelings, love and erotic scenes.
Retribution:
What you will find in this book is: a young woman who sees something she should not have (Olivia Bell), a man who is not what he seems to be (Kade), drama, intrigue, suspense, violence, murder, Russian Mafia, sex trafficking, drugs, abduction, rules, defiance, punishment, threats, collared, fear, chains, whips, a deal, submissive training, a gilded cage, being used, drugged, hospital, police, heartbroken, detectives, court, a choice, lust, emotional feelings, love and erotic scenes.
All the the story-lines and plots are well thought out and exceptionally well-written with a HEA in each of the books. The characters are well developed with personalities and moods suited to the situations they find themselves in and have feelings of lust, needs and desires. I would recommend this book to people who like to read a exceptionally well written dark romance with a HEA, you will not be disappointed.

This was a pretty good box set. There are twists and turns throughout, with secrets being revealed throughout. Each book in the set has interconnected characters, and it was fun for me to catch up with all of them, especially at the end.
Each romance between the main characters in each book begins differently, and has its own unique flavour. The suspense angle was well-written and I enjoyed that aspect a lot.

Lauren Landish's Secrets & Lies is a set of three books, all suspenseful and full of intrigue and steam! You can't go wrong with this set. They're all written with Lauren's amazing style of keeping you guessing yet keeping it hot! Love these books - I own each of them individually, and the set is well worth getting. I would highly recommend it! I voluntarily reviewed an advance review copy of it.

"Revenge" is a thriller and a heartbreaking love story in one single book.
It's one of those books you can not put down. Each page contains a new drama and one highlight chases the other. You have to read further, out of curiosity, to see what happens in the next chapter.
"Retaliation" is a real page turner and thrilling till the end!
It made me suffer with all protagonists and I loved reading it so so much!
The protagonists are very authentic and you can feel with them.
"Retribution" is the conclusion of the spectacular "Secrets & Lies" - series about Jackson and Katrina, Andrea and Carson and Melissa and Nathan.
Each character is uniquely described and elaborated, each mood nuance in the book comprehensible. This book lives from the antitheses in the strings of action, on the one hand the nerve-telling hiding from Peter and his henchmen, on the other the growing love between Melissa and Nathan and the loving and caring intercourse of the couples.
The "Secrets & Lies" – series is a masterly written trilogy and a must read!
