It was always about the baby... And it never stopped being about her.
Julie Sawyer found more than just the sun on her trip to Italy after being whisked off her feet by billionaire Antonio Capirelli. They only had one night and that was supposed to be the beginning and the end. No calls, no texts, no nothing.
But a baby in her belly means that it can't really be over, can it?
Antonio Capirelli is a dragon with a kingdom to rule, literally. As the head of the family and his community of dragons, there are traditions to follow, along with marrying the right, pureblooded mate. But when tradition isn't enough anymore and a dragon finds his true mate, there's nothing that could stop him, even if the whole world tries. He will find her and claim her.
He will have his woman, his baby, and his kingdom. Nothing less will do.
La mia belleza, could it be that you're here?" he murmured, sending a hot jolt of desire running through her.
A tricky, royal, Italian Dragon shifter. A feisty, not royal, American human. One baby. One engagement to the wrong person. One half crazy fiancée. One ruthless mother in law. A few threats to the innocent baby.
Usually when you have Italians and dragons in the same mixture, the result is explosive. I did not particularly like Antonio. He was a rather weak character who mostly could not say 'no' to his mummy. I liked Julie. She was funny, sarcastic and ready to fight for her baby under any conditions. Overall, I enjoyed the story.
Meh. Our Alpha Dragon King is a bit too wimpy for me. He spends most of the book being hen-pecked by his overbearing mother and wacko fiancee. He knows Julie is his mate (and has known for 2 years) but does nothing about it until the very end. He is content to marry a woman he doesn't love or even like, just to do his duty. He was just too much of a weenie for me.
First everything that happens to set up this story is told to the reader rather than shown. The story picks up 2 years after the couple met, had a one night stand and separated. He then sends his brother to kidnap her and her kid which though she complains a bit she's surprisingly okay with. His fiance and mother threaten her child and threaten his heritage if he stays with her and yet all he has to do to resolve all this conflict is yell a little bit. As a reader my only thought is Seriously?! If you like your stories quick with little conflict and neat bows you might like this one, personally to me it was pretty ridiculous.
These Howls Romance books are a blast. Short, sexy romances along the lines of the old Harlequin Presents series, but with paranormals. I really liked this one. BTW, if you preorder them, they are $.99, and some of them are available on Kindle Unlimited.
This novel was just trash. I really don't understand why there are so many good reviews on Amazon...
I attempted to read yesterday only to stop reading at 7% because there is a full-blown dragon sitting on this woman's porch in a modern-day Texas and her reaction is to yell at her child to get away from the door and inside her head, she really doesn't give a f*ck as her only thought is about how the dragon is making faces at the child thru the glass door.
A dragon making faces seems odd to begin with, equivalent to a werewolf making silly faces but instead of a werewolf you got this enormous dragon, and much deadlier creature doing so.
In my opinion, modern day time and dragons do not mix well. Especially when you are yelling at a dragon on your porch that you're calling the police on him...? Ok, yes that is exactly what I'm going to do - yell at some deadly dragon on my porch.
My reaction would be to grab my child, possibly scream, and run.
Anyway, I would love her neighbor's thoughts put into this, seeing a dragon sprawled out on their neighbor's porch, and having their dumb as f*ck neighbor scream shes calling the police.
But overall, nothing was appealing about this book, not the writing style, characters, or book cover. I only attempted to read because of my friend who recommend the book with a grin on her face, probably thinking the same thing I did.
That was one hell of a story!! The story was so well-written and so thought out it had this wonderful flow to it. I just could not put it down I read this in one fast setting. This is Julie’s story, and of course her little boy Tony to. What would you do if you woke up and there was a dragon staring at you through your window? Or it was staring at your child. This is what happens to her. But it is the wrong dragon not the one that is the father of her child. But he is taking her to him none the less even if he has to kidnap them. Now she just has to get past one angry fiancé and one ticked off mama. Will she be able to protect Tony and still have the love of her life or will it all ends in disaster? Because for it all to work out right Antonio has to choose, her and her son or his kingdom. But will he make the right choice. Now before I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this book, please consider leaving a review. The Authors really like it when you do; they value your opinions too.
Julie was supposed to be an act of rebellion; one night of simple passion before Antonio’s arranged engagement to Rosella was to be made official and he would lose the freedom he has always held precious. But that night had turned out to be so much more. For almost 2-years what Antonio hoped and feared has now come true; his mate is back and so is his son. Giovanni had tracked Julie down and brought her to Antonio. Tony, as the son of the Dragon Prince, would not be kept from his family, his title or his destiny. It soon becomes clear that Tony is in danger from Rosella and Amira, Antonio’s mother. For most of his life, Antonio has been doing what tradition demands of him and what his bloodline expects; duty beyond heart he reminds himself. The family needs a full bloodline marriage, but it soon becomes apparent that Antonio and Rosella do not have to form this alliance between the Simonettis and the Capirellis, because Giovanni and Rosa can instead, something they thought would never happen. This means that Antonio and Giovanni can each have what they most desire. This was an excellent, well-written story that I would have no hesitation in recommending. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.
I read this book to give the author a try and besides it was short. The first scene with a dragon on her backporch making faces at her baby was completely unbelievable. How does a dragon make a face that does not scare the pants off of you? The male lead is a dud. Did she know he was a dragon when she had sex with him to create that child? I don't think so, therefore I have to wonder why she is not terrified. I have read a few really good dragon shifter novels by Xavier Neal and Theodora Taylor. Everything is much more realistic in them. This is so meh, I couldn't get excited at all, and regularly skipped scenery description pages just to get through it. Don't know if I will read any other books by this author.
This story of Julie and Antonio was such a great read. I wish is was a little longer but lived how the dragon protected his mate from him mother as well as his arranged marriage. Antonio knew that Julie was his mate the night they had a one night stand but he did not know she had his child.
Anya Nowlan has done such a great job telling this story of love comes first but not without danger. I look forward to reading more from this author.
This is a great fast read. It's a nice book if you're looking for a book to read in a day. I was instantly engrossed with this one right from the beginning. I really liked the characters especially Antonio. I liked how protective he is of her and their baby. Everything isn't going to be easy sailing for these two. A few road blocks in the way, but that won't stop dragon shifter Antonio from claiming his mate.
I found Antonio & Julie to have something sweet yet lost. He knew that he had a piece of him out there. It was sad to know that he could only trust one to help him find that piece/peace. I found true sadness in action and attitude of the females in this read. With the exception of Julie. She was what one would expect from a loving and caring mother.
Okay and well written but a bit boring and reminiscent of a silhouette desire book. Not quite what I expected. Heroine is not pregnant, baby is already one year old. Hero Prince is getting married in two weeks in an agreement arranged years previously. Gets brother to hunt down one night stand from two years ago. Surprise, he has a son and heir. Princes fiancée of course takes it badly with histrionics. Heroine just lets him stick his tongue down her throat with fiancée in the room.

I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This is the first book of the series that I have read. It was a great quick read that I truly enjoyed. I LOVE shifters. Their insta-love in recognizing their mates is truly romance. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves shifter romance.
When he's betrothed to one dragon but his fated mate is a human. And she's all ready had his heir, the results of what she thought was a one night stand, can papa dragon protect his mate and son from an overbearing mother, a vindictive and unwanted fiancee?
Julia and Antonio had one unbelievable night of love that resulted in one of God's wonderful gifts. When Antonio sent his brother to find Julia and bring her to him he didn't know he'd left some thing wonderful behind. Would they be able to overcome past beliefs and become a solid family?
This was a nice read about a one night stand that resulted in passionate memories and a dragon prince baby. Antonio and Julie were mates that produced Tony through their night of passion. Rossella was Antonio's fiance and Amira was his mother that wanted Julie and Tony to go away by any means necessary.
just read the first eleven books in this set. they are all short, fun and fast and all standalones. can read one or all in any order. each author takes a basic format and expands it how they see fit. there is no deep heavy reading here
I give this novel a 2 out 5 because it left no impression on me and I don't think I ever finished the book. I know I enjoyed the idea but I don't remember anything else... So I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.
