You don't belong here...
Unless you belong to me.

Duchess isn’t a club for girls like you.
It isn’t safe for those too innocent, too inexperienced.
Especially curious little virgins.

But I can train you…
I can tease you. Teach you.
Punish you.
I will show you the true meaning of pleasure.

Are you brave enough, pet?
There is one little catch.

This club caters to a very specific desire…
They will hear your every mew.
They will see your every tremble.
They will know exactly when I make you mine.

You belong to me, little one.
And this is how I prove it.
When you offer me your innocence, I will take you…
While They Watch.

While They Watch is a sexy, new adult romance featuring an innocent former-musician struggling to find her place in the world after abandoning her dream of becoming a concert violinist. Fortunately, she meets a mysterious and dominating stranger who puts her back into the spotlight…but nothing could prepare her for his desired performance.

Warning: This novel is a taboo exploration of exhibitionism, light dominance, and the naughtiest of fantasies. The content may be too extreme/intense for some readers...

I wanted to stop reading While They Watch several times, but I kept convincing myself, "hey, maybe they'll turn this around and so&so will be redeemed". Nope. A few things corrected themselves, but the majority let me down.

For starters, the relationships in this book just confused me. What was the deal with Anthony and Simone? Ex-lovers, fine. They're both kinky. Whatever. But *Spoilers* she held his *noodle* and inserted it into Morgan's *pot* (I'm really limited with metaphors here and can't use dirty words, so, you get what you get). And he would "stare into Simone's eyes" at times while being intimate with Morgan. I'm not really a jealous person, but if my guy was in the middle of making love to me while staring at/speaking with another person, woman or man, I would be furious. Even if an attraction for BDSM is the humiliation aspect, ok, understood, but don't try to convince me they're in love while this is going on.

Morgan and Anthony were drawn to each other sexually. That was understandable and well-explained, but other than sex, not much seemed to bring them together. He liked that she was musically talented, even if he didn't respect her lack of ambition. She liked that he was powerful and commanding. How those few things resulted in a passionate love boggles my mind.

Most importantly though, Morgan was portrayed as desperate for affection and beyond realistically naive, and everyone around her abused those characteristics without any consequences.
I'm all for dark, intense romances. I'm ok with dubious consent. I'm ok with multiple partners. What I'm not ok with is a man in his mid-thirties, with butt-loads of sexual experience, completely exploiting the naivety of a twenty-three year old virgin.
*Spoilers*
Dominant/submissive relationships seem to thrive with trust, and Anthony sucked at fulfilling his end. He felt betrayed when Morgan hid her virginity from him. Fine, maybe she should've told him from the beginning, but at least she told him before it went too far. And ya know, it's 100% her secret to tell, no one else's... not even her controlling dom has any right to share that information without her consent. Did that stop him from telling his ex-girlfriend (who just annoyed the hell out of me with how consistently rude she was to Morgan)? No. It didn't even stop him from telling an ENTIRE SEX CLUB FULL OF STRANGERS. He manipulated Morgan into attending Duchess. She anticipated sex, but clearly in a bed and in private. For him to put her on a table, underneath a spotlight (literally, a spotlight, like a friggin stage), and whisper to her after everyone is already watching that "hey, I wanna take your virginity right here in front of all of these strangers and you can totally safe word and it won't happen, but it makes total sense for you to fear refusing me because you're afraid I'll reject you for doing so and then you could lose me". H-How? Words eluded me at this point. Exhibitionism sometimes turns me on. So does rough play. And reluctance/resistance at times, if done correctly, does too. But Anthony went too far and just took absolute advantage of Morgan and exploited her vulnerabilities to the point that it turned my stomach.

The ending was abrupt and unsatisfying, but I expect there will be another book in the series that will refer to Morgan and Anthony as secondary/tertiary characters, so I'll give the authors the benefit of the doubt for those reasons. Whether I'll read any follow-up books remains TBD.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is the first book I've read by this author, and I was intrigued by the blurb. The writing itself was entertaining and professional, but there were some major characterization problems that made the book less-than satisfying.

Morgan made more sense to me than Anthony, except she kept up lies that just didn't matter. Considering the things he said to her about trust, her lies edged on the point of ridiculous. Especially the part about being a virgin--until it was almost too late! And later, she just popped off with new lies because she was embarrassed? Considering the stuff she and Anthony were doing in public, her embarrassment just didn't cut it for me.

Anthony, meanwhile, was cold and calculating. He wasn't a good Dom, as he admitted toward the end of the book. He KNEW he was supposed to be "training" her, and yet he told her virtually nothing. He put her in awkward and uncomfortable situations with no warning, explained nothing, and totally blurred the lines between a submissive and a slave. Worse, he did it all while telling his friend Simone EVERYTHING and setting up Morgan to lose her virginity in front of an audience, never giving her a chance to mentally or emotionally prepare.

Secondary characters were a problem for me, as well. I hated the friendship between him and Simone. Multiple times he put Simone ahead of Morgan, he communicated with her in a way that was certainly emotional cheating, and he allowed ALL secondary characters to treat Morgan cruelly and disrespectfully. The hatred Shannon had for Morgan was never fully explained (although I drew my own conclusions).

I had a hard time rating this book, because there were positives to it. As I said, the writing was good, and there were moments when both Morgan and Anthony were sympathetic. But overall, his carelessness as a Dom and with Morgan's emotional safety just spoiled it all for me.

I'll be honest - I wasn't sure about this book but I was offered an advanced review copy so I had nothing to lose other than a few hours of my time (if I made it that far into the story). I expected a naughty, slightly voyeuristic read - which this is - but I didn't expect the skilled way this story would be presented,

So why did I think I wouldn't like this book,or that it wouldn't work? Well let's start with the biggest thing - a virgin having sex for the first for the time in front of an 'audience' - really???!!! It sounds like the book could just be cheap porn and I expected a Dom who was going to humiliate and almost force/overwhelm Morgan into submitting and exposing herself in this manner. I'm not a huge lover of the 'secretly a virgin' book and who can believe a shy virgin will want to lose "it" in front of a room full of people? Also how can I like a 'hero' who would want to humiliate a girl in this way?

So why DID the book work? Morgan wasn't a virgin because she was shy or repressed, but had been too focused on music to have a relationship and had then been depressed/suffered a breakdown. The authors portrayed really well her need to have responsibilities and pressure removed from her shoulders. Her desire to be submissive was, in part, due to her state of mind. However she also enjoyed how she was dominated by Anthony and how it made her feel. I loved how Morgan was conflicted between her desires and enjoyment of the relationships with the views and expectations society have imposed on her. Some of activities at Duchess left Morgan expecting the other patrons to judge her and consider her a slut, since this was how she judged herself, but instead she found praise, compliments and support. And Anthony was so attentive to her emotions and reactions, making sure she felt safe and calm at all times. The way Morgan enjoyed what was happening and felt safe/reassured and able to use her safe word made me comfortable reading this book.

The plot featured a lot of D/s but had much more story than just that, I really got caught up with the book and didn't want to put it down. I don't want to give away any spoilers to the story but there are some unexpected admissions by two of the dominant characters towards the end of the book. I also liked that sometimes Morgan was right and stood up for herself when it counted. I felt a little removed from Anthony, mainly because the book is only written from Morgan's POV, but this is only a minor point and the authors did a good job of showing his care of and affection for Morgan.

This is one very hot, well written and worth the time read.

This story has some uncomfortable parts to it. I liked the premise of the book but there were some things that made me uneasy. “While They Watch” is a new read from Sosie Frost and Lana Grayson. This is a book that can be dark at times, darker than I thought it would be. Anthony gives Morgan the freedom and protection to explore sides of herself that she even didn’t know she had while Morgan gives Anthony the one person he never knew he was looking for. There is A LOT of exhibitionism that is shown in this book and there are things that some people may be uneasy about while reading this book. What I loved was A Dom/sub relationship between Morgan and Anthony , what I didn’t like was the catty woman who will test Morgan’s commitment to Anthony and the lifestyle. Will they make it together or will this OW get what she wants- Anthony.

Morgan has made a mess of her life. She used to be a renowned violinist but had some kind of breakdown and now works at a coffee shop trying to make ends meet. She stumbles into a sex club one night and meets Anthony. Anthony is fully immersed in the BDSM lifestyle. Morgan is curious about him, he is curious about her....things happen.

This one was alright. There was one aspect that bugged me a bit - Morgan was a beautiful young black woman and I was uncomfortable when she was asked to call Anthony "Master". It just seemed unnecessary to me to make that point.

To be honest I don't really know what to think about this book. There were moments when I was shocked, moments when I was irate, and moments that I loved. I loved Morgan's innocence but also hated it. I loved Anthony's confidence and dominate side but was also shocked by it. I wanted to hate Simone but also appreciated her by the end of the book. The only thing I do know for sure is that I really disliked Shannon. But I guess every good book has to have someone who we all hate in it. Many times throughout the book I wanted to put it down and walk away but at the same time I really wanted to know how it all ended. I can admit that I enjoyed the book. If you love a little wild BDSM then this book is definitely for you. I commend these two author's for putting this book together so well. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy for an honest review*

While they watch by Sosie Frost and Lana Grayson a four-star read that is worth watching. This is the story of club called Duchess and what goes on there after a young naive woman gets stood up by her friends on a night out, and the consequences will change her life forever. This is a story that not everyone will enjoy as there are some subjects that people won’t enjoy reading, if you don’t enjoy some light dominance and some behaviours that will comes with that then this book won’t be for you, but if you don’t mind this then you should enjoy this book.

I was provided a copy of this book in return for an honest review. My agreement was based solely on the fact that I have read other works by Sosie Frost and enjoyed all of them. However, I have never read anything by Lana Grayson. Should readers have read a previous work to understand the characters? Although the premise was interesting, the story did not work for me. The offering came across more about degradation of an innocent rather than her entry into the BDSM society. There was a distinct disconnect amongst all the players of this work which caused me to have many unanswered questions. In comparison to other BDSM stories that I have read, the scenes in this work just rang false. It was hard for me to believe that Anthony was a true Dominant. His relationship to Morgan came off as more about humiliation and degradation of an innocent. It felt like his focus was on his own pleasure and wants. It was hard to understand the dynamics of the secondary characters like Simone. Why were she and Anthony so close? What was Shannon’s punishment after her altercation with Morgan? Overall, the editing was on point in terms of grammatical errors. However, the story and characters needed more development. In the end, it was hard for me to understand exactly when Morgan and Anthony developed a love connection.

Too taboo for me. Although the book title already told you what the theme was…still didn't think even h's first time happened in front of so many people. That's too much. And H's ex-lover constantly existed in his daily life, not only in the sex club? Well, not sure any sane women could accept that. Maybe readers into BDSM(esp public play) would enjoy this book more.

Unexpectedly cruel

Not what I expected. I absolutely hate humiliation; especially when it comes to sex and I hate it even more when someone gets off on humiliating others. That is this book in a nutshell. A narcissistic Dom takes a submissive virgin as his own and gets off humiliating her at every turn. He doesn't even provide aftercare after he deflowers her in front a a room full of people instead he leads her around the room collecting praise for his performance. That is just the tip of the iceberg of humiliation. I couldn't stand him or his friends. I couldn't even finish the book because I hated the level of humiliation so much. The characters were not very well developed but the editing was good.

While They Watch by Sosie Frost and Lana Grayson is a scintillating tale of passion and pain with a bit of comedy thrown in. Morgan is on hiatus from college, a young woman lost and unsure of where to go in life when she meets Anthony at a sex club. Ditched by her friends during a girls’ night out, she sticks out in the anything goes club with an air of naïveté that immediately captures Anthony’s attention and intrigues him. Morgan is curious and attracted to the sexy extreme confidence that Anthony exudes. From their meet cute to their realistically awkward first date to Morgan’s introduction into the world of Doms and Subs, While They Watch is a highly entertaining read. It’s not just the hot pairing of Morgan and Anthony as the stumble towards falling in love with each other that is enjoyable to read but also that Morgan’s growing pains regarding the uncertainties in what she wants in life ring very true to anyone who has felt lost. While They Watch is a captivating story but not necessarily everyone’s cup of tea as it's definitely not traditional. For me, the romance totally clicks and I hope these two authors will collaborate on another book in the future.

A hot new read from Sosie Frost and Lana Grayson. This is a book that can be darker at times, but the connection between Anthony and Morgan is very real. Anthony gives Morgan the protection to explore sides of herself even she didn't realize were there and Morgan gives Anthony the one person he never knew he was looking for. A Dom/sub relationship where public intamacy is very center to their blossoming relationship. With some another catty woman who will test Morgan's strength and commintment to not only Anthony, but the lifestyle he lives and wants to share with her. I voluntaily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I took the leap. Jumped into this dark, twisted, sensual love story and actually liked it. I bought it immediately because I like this author but waited several weeks before reading because I just wasn't quite ready for it. Glad that I finally read it. Anthony and Morgan have joined the ranks of favorite couples for me. They were a mess! At least Morgan was, no direction, so afraid of failure that she was at times annoying but I also found myself feeling sorry for her. You could sense her strength and rooted for her to finally realize it. Anthony was a bit of a mystery but I felt like the author gave me enough to sympathize with him when things got complicated in their relationship. I'm not usually a BDSM fan, I can tolerate some but it's not an automatic buy for me. This book took me further than any has before. I liked it enough to want to read more about Anthony and Morgan. Interesting secondary characters some mysterious, some cruel but all good additions to the story. If I have one critique, it's that the book ends a bit abruptly. I do hope the epilogue drops quickly and that we get to see more of Anthony and Morgan.

What a fantastic collaboration of authors this is! Morgan is a little lost with life, and she is very unsure of where she is going forward. Anthony is a sexy, dominant and kinky lawyer, who previously owned a sex club. When these two meet at a club, there is instant attraction. Anthony proceeds to introduce Morgan into the life of Dom’s and Sub’s. No spoilers from me though, you really need to read this for yourself!!
This is a well written, captivating and intriguing plot, with humour, pain, and passion. I hope that these very talented authors’s collaborate together more. I recommend for all readers who enjoy BDSM.

Just Ughhhh!!!!

I just did not like this book. First of all Morgan was just weak as hell. Okay so u had a breakdown during a recital or something, so what get over it. I thought she would get stronger once she met Anthony but noooo. She made me want to hit her. Secondly, just losing us virginity in front of all those people was just not cool and that made me not like Anthony. He could have made her first time a lil special and then took her to Dutchess! I DID NOT CARE FOR THIS BOOK!!!

While they watch?

That is the title borrowed from kindle unlimited, but the book I read is De ja vu. There was no Morgan and Anthony in this story, even though the books title is As They Watch. No, the characters in book " as they watch " book are, Evey, Shepard (cop), and the baby, Clue. And they are working their way through Evey's amnesia issues.

So really, this review and the four stars are for Deja Vu. The storyline didn't have much lag, and had many funny moments.
It's a good read.

This story was very intense, but very, very good. Morgan is a music major drop out and Anthony is a very busy lawyer. They meet at a sex club when Morgan's friends stand her up. There are so many ups and downs on both parts to get their relationship to where it ends up. Had no idea that some characters were intertwined with Lana Greyson's Takeover story. Definitely a must read. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Not the best from Isis but still ok

This is is a BDSM romance but I didn't find it to be nearly as hot and spicy as what I've come to expect from this author but it is a collaborative project. I just didn't care for Morgan, the virginal heroine and Anthony, her son didn't really give me anything either. Not a lot of true passion came off the pages. I didn't care for the sex scrunch eithet. It was just an ok read. Not terrible, but just ok.

Ssc is not found here.

To the authors who I assume are sadists with no ethics, because no one with them would allow a Shannon to have remained in a club . Shannon is rapist and a Dom that would pull a sub back into her sphere he knew wouldn't safe word or tell him. You are incredibly irresponsible people. I only gave it a star because I was forced too.

I liked the book but had a hard time believing a young woman could be quiet so naive, so sheltered (or blind) to the world around her, even with her single-minded devotion to her craft. Not a clue what she might find in a BDSM club or party? If one can get past questioning the relationship it was a good read.
Sort of just stopped fairly abruptly though.

This book makes you uncomfortable in places.
Leaves unanswered questions -- too many.
The "special" epilogue would've been nice to read.
Way too many steps to go thru to get it.
His best friend really turned me off.
