They were both warriors from different worlds. Both determined, aggressive and dominant. Both wanted control. Love? One didn’t need it. The other? Didn’t understand it....

His world was gone. Destroyed. Leaving him and his brothers, strong highly sexual males, in need of a new world. They were dominant, demanding and unrelenting in their pursuits. They needed a new future. A female that called to them. One scenting and they would know. One taste and she would be lost.

It was their way and nothing could stop it. Xor had been born in space, the last of his kind. Of his generation. Battle-hardened since coming of age and joining the battle group. All of his 289 years, moving from one solar system to another had been about finding his people a future. Commander. Leader. His job, protect the fleet.

His team the first in and last out. They took the brunt of any new aggressor and put down any threat hard. No room for sentiment or compassion. No room for distraction. He had a job to do and lives depended on him. Their females were gone. A virus sent by an aggressor over 300 years ago, wiping out all female life on his world, as well as their own in the process.

With contamination killing their race, they journeyed to the stars, to save the few that were left to correct the damage to their females and failed, and now they were long gone. Leaving a devastated race behind them. They searched the stars for another chance of life. They were a world in desperate need of a future or all would be lost.

The elder's vision was clear, a blue world would answer their prayers. And they'd found it. Nothing like their world. It offered many challenges and hardships, this species had its own destructive nature and integration would not be easy.

Acceptance had been swift, if difficult. An alliance created. A new Joint Task Force with Earth. To police them all and he relished the chance.

Sharon was a psychologist by choice and a Commander with special forces by damn hard work. She had fought tooth and nail to get her commission. Had endured sexism, discrimination and outright derogatory verbal attacks on her abilities and the fact that she was female.

But she’d shown them all where it counted, on the battlefields and training grounds. She was tough and courageous, took no shit and gave nothing away. And it had all been worth it.

She'd finally found her place in the world. Leading a team to achieve the unachievable. No one messed with her any longer. They took out the bad guys and made the world a better place and she loved it. It was everything she had ever needed. ever dreamed of. Everything she'd ever wanted.

She wasn't interested in the politics of why the Bataari had come to Earth, she just knew, she had to be on their team ....

Loved this book. Hoping there will be more in the series. Read book 1-2 as well and as I loved these books brought all the rest of her books from Amazon for my iPad. Wish they came out in audio format as I prefer to listen to books as I have limited time to read. But can listen to any book while working. So this shows I love these books as I have read them on my iPad. I only do this if the books are extremely good. Thanks Jessie Rose Case. Keep up the good work.
