When you’re a Delta Force soldier, you see a lot. Often too much. But nothing can ever prepare you to see your entire team die before your eyes…
The loss of his Delta brothers—and his arm—has Dane “Fish” Munroe still struggling months later. He’s moved to Idaho, where an isolated lifestyle is making things worse, not better. Not that there’s anyone left to care.
Actually, Bryn Hartwell cares. In fact, she tries to surreptitiously make life just a little easier for the mysterious man who comes into the grocery where she works late at night, only to get a tongue lashing for her trouble. Still, he’s obviously hurting; someone has to worry about him, spurring Bryn to nurse Dane when he hits a particularly low point.
Intrigued by the quirky, kind, socially awkward woman, Dane allows himself to get close to someone for the first time in ages. A potentially epic mistake—because when her interest in the prepper lifestyle puts Bryn in the hands of a homegrown terrorist, losing her could put Dane’s mental recovery permanently out of reach.
But once a Delta, always a Delta. And there’s a team in Texas who are ready to have Dane’s back at a moment’s notice.
**Rescuing Bryn is the 6th book in the Delta Force Heroes Series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliffhanger endings.
New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal Bestselling Author, Susan Stoker has a heart as big as the state of Tennessee where she lives, but this all American girl has also spent the last fourteen years living in Missouri, California, Colorado, Indiana, and Tennessee. She's married to a retired Army man who now gets to follow her around the country.
Dane, better known as "Fish" is struggling to find himself after leaving Delta Force Ops, due to a devastating injury. After losing his arm and all his friends in a mission gone crazy, Dane moves to a remote spot in Idaho, hoping to heal, body and soul. He wears his prosthesis when he's out, but is more comfortable without it, at home.
Dealing with survivor guilt, and struggling with PTSD, he shops at night, to avoid people and finds himself feeling stalked by an employee. Little does he know that Bryn, a store clerk has been observing him for awhile, trying to make his time in the store easier. She steers people away from him and moves goods on the shelf so he can find everything he needs. When he confronts her angrily, demanding to know what she's doing, she begins chattering away with all her reasons for helping him, as she does when she gets nervous.
Bryn has a brilliant mind, but unfortunately little common sense and parents that have never understood her. Placed in schools that cater to gifted, she was always treated differently. With a Master Degree at 18, she determined to make a life for herself, independently. Bryn's caring soul senses something in Dane that speaks to her heart. But, with Dane's hostility towards her, she quits her job rather than think about him driving a greater distance because of her. There is much substance within and humor and passion galore.
I love the way Ms. Stoker evolves Dane and Bryn's relationship. It is truly magnificent! Due to the special makeup of Bryn's character, I want to also applaud the extensive research that enabled such creative and exciting writing. Each book in this exciting series is phenomenal, and getting to hear about all the delta friends as they continue forward, is icing on the cake. The dialogue is so amazing, I want to go back and read them all again. Kudos ~ Bravo
I am always pleased after reading a Susan Stoker book. The heroes are alpha, the heroines aren't (but they are strong and not pushovers) and you get a glimpse here and there of some of the previous heroes.
Dane was amazing. He had been through so much having lost his arm in an attack. He was discharged and sent home, but like so many other service men/women it stayed with him. He suffered from PTSD which made everyday social interactions next to impossible. He was jumpy and moody and it got worse with each day. Until he met Bryn.
I adored Bryn. So unlike any other heroine I have read. She was a genius, and didn't socialize well with people. She was inquisitive and asked too many questions for most people. She was big hearted and cared about everyone.
- No cheating - No ow/om drama whatsoever - No pushing away -some steamy parts later in the story - No violence of a sexual nature -lackluster epilogue- these stories would be near perfect if we had a better epilogue.
I opened this with the idea that I would get a taste of it and circle back around. The next time I looked up it was hours later and I was lamenting the fact that it was over.
The characters are superbly written, the plot engaging and exciting. It's like taking a trip with old friends that you just met a few minutes before. Weird, I know. But you follow me. Ha!
Stoker displays a knack for the best kind of stories, ones that will leave you with a smile for days. Sweet, sexy, with the right dose of mystery, Rescuing Bryn gets five stars.
Dane "Fish" Murphy is the only survivor of bombing that has just taken out his whole team. He is found by a "Truck" and his Delta team. He is saved but loses part of his arm in the process. He is now a retired veteran that has stayed close and become friends with Truck and the rest of the team. He is better but still suffering PTSD that makes him feel uncomfortable around crowds and a few other triggers which is why he has moved to a small town in Idaho. While at the store he finally notices the small woman worker that he realizes has been following him around the store for a few weeks. He is very uncomfortable with it and confronts her. He is surprised when she tells him she has been trying to make him feel more comfortable but he snaps at her and says some very hurtful things that send her running. When he finds out she quit he feels guilty but doesn't think he will see her again.
Bryn Hartwell is a woman who is at genius level but also on the Asperger scale. She has always found it difficult to fit in since she was little even with her own parents. She is smart but she has problems with social skills in not always knowing what to say or what is appropriate at times and blurts out tons of random facts especially when nervous. She doesn't always use her common sense or understand the danger of something which has gotten her in trouble before and can become obsessed with a subject and block other things out in her quest to learn all she can. When she saw the man at the store she picked up on his issues and does what she can to help but is taken aback by his anger and when he calls her a freak, which is something she has heard before, she is hurt and quits so he doesn't feel uncomfortable.
One night she is researching and he comes to her mind due to the storm that is supposed to happen and she starts to worry about him and even though he said to stay away from him. Like always once she grabs hold of something she has to see it through. She finds him at a really drunk at a bar and helps home and thinks he won't remember but also glad she saw another side of him that makes her feel good. When Dane wakes up at first he doesn't remember but it all comes back and he thinks of the sweet woman who he insulted but helped him home anyway and how attracted he is to her so with the advice from his friend decides to pursue the woman who makes him feel whole again in a way he thought he would never feel again. The only problem is her intelligence and need to know just might get her into trouble and he will take care of her in a way she needs too.
I got this on a whim after checking out the blurb and ended up loving it. The heroine was smart and sweet but also blind to dangerous situations until too late or pointed out. The hero is trying to get his life together again and what to do now after surviving with his injury. Both have a some issues but together they find something in each other they never thought would happen. I also love that he called her "Smalls" like in The Sandlot. That was so cute. It could be frustrating with the heroine but understanding the way her mind worked made you understand the need for patience with her and she does understand once things are made clear which helped as well. This was really sweet with a little heat told in the H/h pov and very low angst. The hero is not a manho and the heroine is not a virgin but not that experience either. I recommend for those wanting sweet and low angst with not a OTT alpha hero and a strong sweet heroine.
For those who have triggers. Hero ex-military. Lost his hand and part of an arm in an IED and lives with PTSD, flashbacks nd night terrors. He was just retired by the military due to the injury. He is the lone survivor of his team and also deals with survivor's guilt.
Heroine is a true genius but has no common sense. She believes she is on the autism spectrum (aspergers) and she is correct in that assumption.
She is very caring and loving but her self-esteem is very low. The first 60% of the book was quite good but from there on it went downhill. I am not sure what kind of game he was playing that he refused to make love to her...'for her sake.' He kept saying she needed time. He was 30 and she was 27. It got old after while and they didn't consummate until the end of the book. That I did not care for. She was at the point of feeling that he did not care for her because he rejected her b withholding sex even though he said he wanted her so badly.. It saddened her great deal.
Totally enjoyed this book. I read so much that I really appreciate when authors make their characters unusual. The heroine here was a genius with poor social skills. Perhaps she was on the aspergers scale somewhere. Anyway she was enjoyable to read about. The hero was a good guy struggling to adjust to losing an arm in the middle east somewhere. Their relationship was sweet and fun to read. The only thing that bothered me was the amount of times that someone had someone else's back. I hate that expression probably from the amount of times I had to read it in a Kristen Ashley book. So it looks like this author had a long backlist so I'll probably give her another try.
I adored Bryn and Dane and can honestly say that Rescuing Bryn is my favorite Susan Stoker book to date. I loved getting to know Bryn and Dane and watching as their relationship evolved from strangers to so much more. It had it’s heartbreaking moments, but it was overall a sweet, swoony and fun read with lots of heart.
Dane aka Fish peaked my interest from the first time I met him. He’s still working through the loss of his team, his hand and learning to live as a civilian. I ended up adoring Dane. Outside of one incident, the man was all kinds of smexy goodness with a good heart and just enough alpha-ness in him to bring out his protective instincts without crossing the line into asshat territory. But what I liked the most about him was how he truly listened to others and took the time to process what they were saying.
Bryn, I adored and there is so much I could say about her, but that would ruin your experience of getting to know her. What I can say is that she is unique and has a kind and compassionate soul that at times will get her into trouble, but you can’t deny that her intentions are always good. And though some of the obstacles she’s had to face in her life hurt my heart, I never pitied her because she never allowed them to keep her down for long.
I really enjoyed their journey to their HEA because Dane and Bryn were simply fun to be around. There were few bumps in the beginning, but once those bumps were worked through and they spent more time together I could see just how well matched they were despite how different their lives had been up until they collided. I loved how they simply accepted the other for who they were and made sure that the other knew it.
This was a fun, quick, low on angst read. While it was easy to predict what would happen in regards to the whole prepper/terrorist storyline, it was still interesting to see how it would all play out and I really liked the direction the author took with it. We don’t spend a lot of time with all the Delta Force guys, which was to be expected, but we do get a good dose of Truck and if you didn’t already love the man, you will after reading this one. He’s just kind of everything, but we will have to wait a little long for his HEA, but until then we have Rescuing Casey up next and that one looks like it’s going to be all kinds of exciting!

So despite being set in Idaho, land of eleventy billion white supremacist sovereign citizens, the author chose to make the villains in this book affiliated with the Taliban.
I would also really like to introduce the author to the social model of disability. I love that she includes disabled characters, but the way they're written I wouldn't recommend her books to any disabled friends. Also, don't armchair diagnose people with autism; you're probably wrong.
I don't know what to say about the gender essentialist sex roles, but it's a big element of all her stories and I keep reading them.
Those complaints aside, I really did enjoy the romance in this story. The heroine is sweet, intense, and a dork. The hero is sweet, intense, and enjoys the heroine's dorkiness. Fortunately, most of the story centers around their relationship.
Another great Delta Force Heroes read. I love Susan Stoker and all she writes, but some of her characters have a special place in my heart. Bryn and Dane are 2 of those characters.
I love Bryn's quirkiness and how she just says anything she's thinking whether it's socially acceptable or not. I get that this isn't always a good thing but she made it so endearing. I loved how Dane found that and her tendency to spit out facts at will so amusing. They were perfect for each other. Dane was getting on with his life after losing his arm and watching his team die, but he wasn't necessarily dealing with it. More like just trying to ignore it and work around the PTSD and feelings. That's where Bryn was made for him. With her lack of filter she just blurted out whatever she was thinking about his experiences and his stump. She didn't treat him any differently than she did anyone else. She pretty much treated the world as her study group.
I can't wait to read on in this series and visit more of these characters that I love so much.
I’m still completely addicted to this series and this author! I love how every book has some very UNIQUE aspects! Bryn was mildly autistic and Dane was SO loving of her uniqueness!!!!
“She made him feel like nothing was impossible, even for a disabled former soldier with very little formal education, like himself. She was a miracle. His miracle.” -5 Stars!-
When you’re a Delta Force soldier, you see a lot. Often too much. But nothing can ever prepare you to see your entire team die before your eyes…

••••••••••••
REVIEW: RESCUING BRYN is the sixth installment in Susan Stoker’s contemporary, adult DELTA FORCE HEROES military, romantic, suspense series. This is Delta Force veteran Dane ‘Fish’ Munroe, and Bryn Hartwell’s story line. RESCUING BRYN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Many of the previous story line couples and characters cross-over for cohesion and familiarity.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Bryn and Dane) RESCUING BRYN follows the building relationship between Bryn Hartwell, and Dane Munroe. Like most of Susan’s heroines, Bryn Hartwell has issues that prevent her from moving forward. Bryn has Asperger’s Syndrome- a subtype of Autism-and in this our heroine struggles with societal norms including the propensity to blurt out UBIs (useless bits of information) and ramble incessantly in both normal and awkward situations. Working the night shift at the local grocery store, Bryn discovers a man she believes is a kindred spirit in Dane Munroe, a wounded war veteran whose late night excursions find our heroine ‘keeping watch’ over the man that seemingly calls to her heart until the night Dane lets loose on an unsuspecting Bryn. Several days will pass before Bryn will, once again, cross paths with Dane Munroe-a drunk Dane who does not recognize our story line heroine. What ensues is the building relationship between our leading couple, and a potentially threatening situation when Bryn’s curiosity pulls her in a dangerous direction.
Bryn Hartwell is a genius with Asperger’s tendencies. By the time she was sixteen years old, she had earned two undergraduate degrees, a graduate degree in physics, and had started on her PhD but our heroine’s lack of common sense is oft times a threat to her own safety. Dane Munroe not only lost his arm during his last mission in the Middle East to an IED but lost his entire team in the blink of an eye. Dane struggles with symptoms of PTSD and Bryn’s idiosyncrasies, like her curiosity with Dane, had our hero battling between his heart and his mind.
The relationship between Bryn and Dane begins acrimoniously. Dane believes our heroine is a threat to his safety but it is Bryn’s own curiosity and need to help that will force a face-to-face confrontation between our leading couple. The sexual situations are passionate; the $ex scenes are limited and intense.
There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including many of the previous story line characters and couples, as well as Dane’s rescuers Truck, Ghost, Fletch, Beatle, Blade and Hollywood.
The world building focuses on Bryn’s Aspergers’ syndrome. The author has done an outstanding job of not only researching the symptoms of Bryn’s disorder but there is also a vast amount of additional information revealed about the numerous subjects that our heroine finds intriguing. Bryn’s curiosity will take our heroine into territory where she does not belong.
RESCUING BRYN is a story of love and loss; friendship and healing; threats to the American way of life. The premise is sweet, seductive and sexy-Dane takes his time exploring his options with the woman that calls to his heart; the characters are charismatic, broken and colorful; the romance is endearing and seductive.
It is no secret that Susan Stoker writes some super hot heroes. But the standout in this book was Brin. She is such a quirky lovable character, and I wanted her to have a happily ever after from the first page. Fantastic!
No travel and a different beginning, but Fish and Shorty still had one epic path to their HEA. One of the many great things in the SS series is how different and strong each of the characters, men and women, are. The curiosity, intelligence and empathy from Shorty is fantastic and it was clear from the beginning. The detail and care that the PTSD and the problems Fish faced were addressed were realistic and grabbed my emotions. Truck and the team did make a few appearances, but the focus was one this couple and what all it means to live in Idaho. Loved the turn to Beetle and Blade and that ending has me excited to read the next book.
I liked Fish, but I didn't know him well enough to think he'd get a book. It was just okay. I didn't care about Bryn and like him, I would have thought she was a crazy stalker too. He got over that a lot faster than I would have.
Another book where I think they got together faster than they should have.
Book 6 is one of my favorites. Genius Bryn and Fish is a perfect match. She can make him believe in himself and he can give her love and acceptance. A great hot book with real life problems and situations
E bam.. Meu coração explodiu de curiosidade... 🤣🤣
E assim comecei a leitura... 😎😎
E foi tipo:
Dane “Fish” Munroe e Bryn Hartwell...
Wonderful, Maravilhoso, Perfect, Perfeito... 🥰🥰
Uma super leitura.. Super recomendo.. I recommend..
I received an advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review.... ...and I'm so glad I get the chance to review this author's books! Yet again I am drawn in and could not put down yet another one of Stoker's books! I absolutely LOVED Bryn and Dane! Bryn's little quirks had me giggling and wishing I had a friend like her! I mean how sweet was she to try to make a complete stranger more comfortable without having met him?!! Dane tries to adjust to civilian life while struggling with PTSD and having lost part of his arm. Although there isn't a whole lot of action or drama going on until the last half of the book, Bryn and Dawn's budding relationship kept me turning pages anxious to see what would happen next! I would have to say that so far this is definitely my favorite of Stoker's.
If you read any one of Susan Stoker's series of books then you'll know how each has the usual hero and heroine, but each of them have an obstacle to overcome before they get to their HEA. In Rescuing Bryn both Dane "Fish" Munroe has the loss of his left arm and adjusting to its loss plus prosthetic and Bryn is mildly autistic who can tell anyone listening random facts whenever and wherever. But the two of them together are what will heal them forever.
Dane misses being in the Army and has moved to Idaho to escape but when he sees Bryn at the local grocery, unbeknownst to him she's trying to make it easier for him to shop for food. Not knowing what she's doing they have a confrontation which leads to her to quit her job. When he finds out she has Asperger's Syndrome he apologizes to her. But he know that he has to come to terms with his loss before he finally sees Bryn is who'll become the most important person in his life.
Bryn wants most to be accepted by her parents, friends and colleagues. She has an insatiable curiosity desire to know just about everything and will tell you everything there is it will be about the subject. But when she meets Fish he doesn't mind the information she gives him spontaneously and accepts her as she is and because she accepts him despite his missing limb, PTSD and they will rescue each other. But when her curiosity goes to far it will take Tex, the Delta team, and all the alphabet agencies to rescue her from a person who has a grudge against the US.
Rescuing Bryn is a fantastic book and I highly recommend reading it, you won't regret it.
Dane Munroe shows the horror of war through his eyes. Truck is a man who will tell you like it is – so expect it to be a little graphic. It may seem harsh but I loved how he reacted to Dane – he doesn’t sugar coat when it comes to the truth. I certainly wouldn’t want to get on his bad side.
Bryn Hartwell is trying to find her place in the world. I loved that the author has created a story around two very unlikely people. She also does a great job showing that it’s ok to be different. But that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t be careful. And she goes the extra mile by showing that a person with Asperger’s can go on to lead a normal life. They are finally able to be a part of society instead of being put in a place where you don’t have a chance to interact with others. The extra, extra mile is when she takes a soldier who comes home less than perfect and shows that there is someone out there perfect for them. Something else I loved was how inquisitive Bryn was – for her it’s just normal. But we also know what curiosity did to the cat. This has got to be my most favorite of the series to date. I’m salivating to see how the author is going to top this one. But in order for that to happen I have to patiently wait for January – that’s going to be tough.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Since I didn't know very much about Dane prior to this story I wasn't looking forward to this book as much as some of the other. I was mistaken. This book was wonderful.
Bryn, feeling like an outcast, has a heart of gold and she noticed Dane come into the store, realizing the he must have some sort of PTSD as he had a prosthesis. She did what she could to unobtrusively block people from getting in his space.
When Dane sees this, he assume she is a stalker and goes off on her.
Bryn does not let this deter her, she quits, but then finds she can't help but want to make sure the man is okay, so she goes looking for him.
Bryn's curiousness is going to get her in trouble and Dane and his friends will need to come to the rescue, but one will not be there.
Oh gawd... Bryn!! I love the fact that she just says what is on her mind... and even though I had a worry that her need to satiate her thirst for whatever topic had hooked her would lead to certain doom... well, it sort of did. But, in fairness to her... she was trying to do the right thing.
And Dane? What is there not to love about him?
Onto 'Rescuing Casey' next ( again!! )... eep!!!
16/07/21 And have to say, the drop-ins from the other Deltas was just perfect. Really was.
While I was excited for Fish's story, I'll admit that this almost had the same issue as Rescuing Harley where the relationship stole the focus and the "rescuing" part seemed kind of an after thought. At least in this one, there were indicators that something would probably happen and it was an actual problem rather than a random car crash that tried to masquerade as a problem.
Fish was really great, honestly. I liked watching him trying to figure things out and how he was trying to adjust to being a righty all of a sudden (as a lefty myself, I get that struggle!). I did wish we'd had just the slightest bit more on him trying to pull himself out, especially because in the previous books, it's seemed like he was a lot closer to some kind of self destruct than this book showed. Like we got the one drunken incident when Bryn helped him and then the rest of the book was a lot more happiness and him seeming to be over everything unless it was needed for the plot.
Bryn was decent as well. I thought the spouting of random facts was kind of interesting but I'll admit that I wish she'd had a little more common sense. Like I got that for her personality/character it made some sense for her to be just going off but like the thing at the end was so far past "Oh, I'm just going to look because I'm curious and I've talked to actual preppers so I'm really fine!" that I did have to pause for a second to make sure I'd read what I read. I did like how she viewed everything and how her main thing with Dane's prosthetic was that she was curious about how it all connected and how everything worked. I loved how she picked up on his PTSD and did what she could to help negate it.
I liked how the author treated Fish's arm but I did roll my eyes at how she handled Bryn. I'm all for people who can't shut their brains off, don't get me wrong, but the author went so far out of her way to say "Well she's got a really high IQ but she's definitely not autistic!" It just felt like there could have been a better way to go around that (and also high IQs don't necessarily indicate any sort of autism so I felt using that as a "this isn't what she's got" was useless). And while I don't mind questions, similar to the way I felt with Harley, I got frustrated at Bryn's constant need to point out that she was a dork because she couldn't shut up. I mean, I completely get the whole "my brain won't turn off!" thing but I don't go around telling everyone that it's because I'm a dork.
The villain I felt was a missed chance here. Like preppers can be dangerous on their own (Dane pointed that out 100 times when trying to convince Bryn to wait for him...not that she listened but that's a different point), so why the author had to turn it into a Taliban connection is beyond me. And that's not saying that all preppers are bad, I totally get it. But there are enough that have nefarious plans that the author could have done literally anything else without pulling in a Taliban connection.
This is right up there as one of my favorites by Susan Stoker!! Every line is so well written and you can tell was so well researched. The storyline intrigued me and I found myself unable to put this one down. I love Dane and Bryn!! Bryn, because of her Asperger's is very socially awkward but she is incredibly sweet and caring and so intelligent. Dane, a former Delta Force is an amputee with PTSD and having a hard time with everything. He often feels he is less of a man. They are both in Idaho for the same reasons; to be away from crowded cities and live a more relaxed lifestyle where they won't be under the scrutiny of so many people. She notices him in the grocery store where she's been working part time at night. She notices how jumpy he is and puts two and two together and assumes he is suffering from PTSD. It is in her nature to help so she does things to help him even though he doesn't know it. He is upset at first when he thinks she is stalking him, but soon realizes she did it out of the genuine goodness of her heart. As they get to know each other he finds her quirkiness, blunt honesty and constant spewing of random facts endearing. Some of her facts had me in stitches, especially ALL the sexual facts; and sometimes the timing of her facts was what made them even funnier. They are truly amazing together. They are so perfect for each other and neither wants to change anything about the other, something they've both been in serious need of. It's cool how she can't get enough information but scary because she doesn't consider consequences of what she does sometimes. This gets pretty scary when she takes an unhealthy interest in learning about the Doomsday Prepper lifestyle. Thank goodness for Dane and the other guys from Delta Force that we have grown to know and love! They always have each others' backs. I love how they heal each other. I love how even though he wants her, he doesn't push her into a physical relationship and wanted to wait until they were both truly ready to share that part of themselves because he knew she was it for him. Their first complete sexual experience was so hot and totally worth the wait. Dane is quite the dirty talker and so freakin' hot!! Great epilogue as always! Susan writes some of the best of those! Always leaves us wanting more of these awesome heroes. Can't wait for the next book!!
Rescuing Bryn is by Susan Stoker. Dane “Fish” Munroe lost his arm in an accident in Afghanistan. The IED that their vehicle hit killed the rest of his me. Luckily for him, a Delta Force team was in the vicinity and rescued him. They also gave him the incentive to live when they kept in touch with him afterwards. When he was released from the hospital, he moved to Idaho and brooded about what the future held. He would go to the store in the middle of the night when no one else was around. Bryn worked at the store. Bryn was different. She was slightly autistic but otherwise very intelligent. Her parents put her in a special school and then homeschooled. She saw the problems he had and routed other customers around the aisle he was on and moved the things he purchased to middle shelves to make it easier on him. When he finally noticed her, he accused her of stalking him and said he refused to shop here again. Knowing what an inconvenience it was for him, she quit her job immediately. Later, she checks on him through a storm and finds him in a bar. She gets him home and safe, then leaves once more. She found a job at the library and in putting them away found one on preppers’ bunkers and building bombs. She began looking up information on bunkers and decided she wanted to see one. Fish arranges a visit for her and then she decides to visit another one on her own. Big mistake!
I knew I was going to love this book from the first paragraph, and boy oh boy was I right! Dane is a combat injured veteran, and Bryn is on the autism spectrum (high functioning).
Bryn's need to research and learn everything she can about a subject that piques her interest is so familiar to me. I adored her random facts and her need to learn. Dane is just as much of an Alpha as any of Susan Stoker's heroes and is so sweet and wonderful to Bryn with all of her idiosyncrasies that he makes it easy to love him. The bad guys are truly horrible and the Delta Force guys are there when she needs help. I love getting to catch up with the characters from the other Delta Force books and find out what's going on in their lives.
The writing, plot and romance are so well written. I've loved every single one of Susan's books, and have already pre-ordered the next books that Susan Stoker has coming up. I'm definitely looking forward to the time to re-read them all again. I'd definitely recommend this book along with all of Susan's other books to anyone looking for a kick-A$$ heroine and strong protective heroes.
